The Eddy

I haven't moved in yet or even seen the building in person but I just want to shout out Faith and Liliana for being absolutely wonderful. I'm moving from PDX to Bend and they have made getting my lease all set a freaking breeze. Not to mention, they have answered my all of my ridiculous questions with the utmost care and quickly the day before a holiday. Liliana went into my unit and measured it for me because she thought it may be easier than me making the drive to do a tour. I'm a recruiter and THESE are the type of people I look for- customer service is A+++- whoever is doing the hiring and training is great at their job. Looking forward to being a tenant in what already seems to be a wonderful community. If this building is even half as great as the staff, I think I'm really going to enjoy it.

The Eddy is not just an apartment complex, it is a community. Everyone at the Eddy is friendly and respectful. The staff is fantastic, our property manager Daniel is super helpful and creates a wonderful environment for everyone. He has helped me to resolve many issues and made sure that my move in went smoothly. We have great facilities, very nice gym, and a cute lounge in the lobby with gourmet coffee and a big screen TV. My apartment is specious, with brand new appliances, and big balcony with a view to the park. The location is fantastic, walking distance from the Old Mill and amphitheater. I love it.

I love living here and the location is awesome! Being close to everything is super convenient, the apartment we got is a great size and always super quiet. Maintenance & Management are on top of things as well! My only complaint is every time I walk out the front door I get hit by a wall of stench of the dog poo garbage can that’s been placed conveniently where the smell gets collected by the front door overhang. This makes for a lovely start to the day : D If it were moved like 10 feet this would be a 5/5!

I've always had a great neighbor or two in my past apartment complexes, but this complex is like an entire community. In only six short months we have made so many friends and met so many great people. Furthermore, the staff are excellent. Karl in maintenance is always on top of things, Danny who leased us our apartment was great to work with, Faith the manager is always professional and takes an active interest in the wellbeing of tenants, and Lily at the front desk is a great person to say hello to whenever we walk in the front doors. The location is great and within walking distance of many Bend activities.

The Eddy is a great place to live. The location alone is perfect being right next to the river. All the staff has been wonderful and very helpful with questions and concerns. My partner and I have enjoyed our time here so far! 100% recommend.

From the first visit to well after move-in, I've found nothing but great experiences at The Eddy. Daniel and Karl are doing a great job managing and maintaining the location, respectively, and have been kind and responsive to any ask, big or small. Daniel went out of his way to place me in the perfect unit! The gym is clean, tidy, and has more than enough equipment for diverse workouts. I've felt welcomed and have enjoyed the social events, glad I made this choice!

I want to start by saying that I am not (yet) a tenant here. So I cannot speak to the quality of life at The Eddy. I cannot speak to the amenities, the community, the units, appliances, maintenance, etc. However, I did want to drop a review for a couple of the Eddy's staff that I've been working with as I look to rent here from out of town. Moving from out of state can truly be so overwhelming. Faith and Daniel have gone above and beyond, helping me to tour the units virtually, helping me through the application process, answering all of my questions and overall just being so patient with me. I am very type-A when it comes to moving into a new home, so I normally have a ton of questions and ask for a lot of clarification on information. Because of this, I often sense people getting impatient with me. It's rare to find someone who just takes their time and doesn't make you feel like a nuisance. I have always felt that a good staff makes a world of difference (for better or worse) when renting from an apartment complex. So, my 5 stars are for Faith and Daniel. If their support is any testament to the community experience at The Eddy, then I'm sure it's a wonderful place to live.

I have been at the eddy for over a year now and I love it here. It’s comfortable, other residents are respectful and quiet, and I love how dog friendly it is. My dog is so happy here, and it’s right next to the river! Management has been nothing but helpful and amazing.

I moved into The Eddy when it opened and with my only disappointment being the loud PA system at the pavilion, which I believe affects only the units facing the parking lot, I find the facilities very pleasant. There are numerous community functions in the lobby, a nice gym, a package room to hold personal deliveries, a large bike room, lending library and games. A great manager and maintenance man. Of course the location is the jewel. I highly recommend The Eddy.

The Eddy attempted to evict a woman with mental health problems who then publicly unalived herself. A few weeks later, The Eddy moved new residents into the apartment without informing the new tenants. This unit is currently vacant so be sure to ask before renting anything on the third floor. The incident was mostly brushed under the rug. Many residents saw her unalive herself. The apartments are not soundproof, and I can surprisingly here the DOWNSTAIRS neighbors making noise in the middle of the night. There is a vent that draws smoky air directly into the building, and there is a lack of ventilation that causes the smoke to concentrate in the hallways. At one point, the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate out into poor AQI and ash flying in the sky. This vent pulls in cold air in the winter and hot air in the summer, often making the temperature in the hallways slightly uncomfortable. While most residents are lovely, there is a "strange" cast of characters who live here. This included someone who was selling drugs in the building and someone who violently assaulted someone which ended in a woman being shot by police. If you are renting from out of town, know that most of the windows in the building do not open. Also, your rent is padded with extra fees. It costs $40 a month to park in the parking lot and they charge you for the electricity in the common areas of the building. We did not have a building manager for months. There were rarely community events. Amenities like the ice machine and coffee maker are broken for long periods of time. There was no building maintenance staff and repairs were not completed for quite some time, before the new maintenance man was hired. (He is a true gem and the only redeeming part of the building.) There is a constant battle with Parks and Rec over the noise coming from the Pavilion, which can be after hours or excessively loud. There is also an on-going issue with drag racers in their parking lots. Living here was a huge mistake, and I am leaving after witnessing a woman unalive herself and feeling unwell for months from smoke concentrated in the building. I am fairly sure Eddy staff are writing fake reviews and posting comments on social media as if they are residents. I lost thousands of dollars by moving into The Eddy, lost many nights of sleep and witnessed a woman unalive herself. The Eddy is so bad that it should be a news story.

Location is insane! You are literally walking distance to everything in bend and can even hear a little of the summer concerts from your balcony! Noise is low due to amazing construction in walls. Place feels like a high end hotel that you get to come home to everyday on the river. Watch people kayak, float and surf all day from the comfort of your own place. Amazing pricing for what you get. Did I mention location. Friendliest staff and tenants you can find and the maintenance guy is amazing! Me and my pup couldn't be happier here with plenty of fur friends.
