Eastern Market Brewing Co. to Open Inside Shuttered Ferndale Taproom | Eater Detroit

"A food truck operation run by chef Garrett McDonald that partners with the brewery; the chef has been tapped to take over the kitchen at the Ferndale brewpub, and several of the truck’s fan-favorite dishes are likely to transition onto the brick-and-mortar menu as that site reopens." - Brenna Houck

The food was soooo good. We actually came just to try the thai fried rice but honestly if it was upto us we would have ordered a few items.

Firstly the classic fried rice came burnt. when we asked, the owner said it's the smell of wok and he said he tasted it and it’s the white pepper. We've eaten Thai food almost every day in Hawaii and previously in the US and Thailand and never had this experience. When asked politely about our options, he tossed the food in trash can and said thank you for coming. Then, he started cursing and using a lot of foul language. He then said he's having a bad day but also justified his foul words saying it’s freedom of speech. The guy should have some courtesy and respect being in this business, or just being a human. He started getting closer and we had to leave the place for safety reasons. We nearly called 911. He ruined a day that was going very smoothly for us. In retrospect, we see similar reviews about burnt food as well as the guy’s attitude. Just hope you go on his good day.

Everything here is amazing. My husband and mines favorite food place to stop after being north shore all day. The pad Thai and Thai basil fried rice was our orders constantly but everything on the menu is Ono. Must try

We got the Yum Nua and Pad Thai with Chicken. Both were super delicious. The beef in the Yum Nua was soft and super flavourful. And I'm not a big fan of Pad Thai but this one was a winner-- delicious flavour, not oily. We came just after they opened and service was quick. Very generous portions. I only wish they had picnic tables like other food trucks to enjoy the delicious food in the Hawaiian breeze. But space is limited given it's in the parking lot of a gas station. Regardless, would definitely come back again!

I come here almost once a week and love it so much. They put so much chicken in their pad thai it’s great! So lucky to have this gem on sunset side of Haleiwa.

They make Thai food, and nothing but the hot. I’m vegetarian she picked Ganesha bowl for me it came with very spicy tofu with no sauce. All three dishes were spicy dry and not tasty. Ask them for gravy if don’t wanted to eat your rice by itself

We went here on one of the days they are open during business hrs. They were closed. Long drive for them to be closed. Disappointed since we had heard that their basil fried rice was delicious. Sadly we didn't get to try it. One thing about food trucks in oahu. Their hrs are not their hrs. They work on their own schedules.
