The Elizabeth

Everything goes wrong here. Neighbor tried to break in my apartment at 5am to do god knows what and management didn’t do anything. Packages are always stolen and management again does nothing. Building is old so everything is constantly down. Garage gate randomly stops working so I’ve missed work meetings and important appointments. For this rent, you would hope that they use some of it for upkeep. Not happy here and hoping to find a new place to move

Staying at this property has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The unit is clean, in very good condition, and we had the service and accommodations we needed to feel right at home. Anytime we had an issue with something in the apartment, the building crew was there to fix it within a day and they were quick and efficient. I would highly recommend staying here and building a life here. I also want to thank Valerie for her excellent service. She has been so accommodating and really helped us feel like this was a place we could call home. She has gone out of her way to be of service to us whenever we needed help with something and has been a very kind person throughout the process. This property is really lucky to have her around. Get yourself an apartment here and make this place your home ASAP.

I’ve been living in this building for about 8 months now, and my experience has been nothing but positive. The unit itself is great, and the building is updated and well kept. The surrounding area is also central but with a nice residential feel to it. On top of that, Valerie, the building manager, is lovely and very easy to deal with. No complaints and I would definitely recommend!

I have had a GREAT experience at Villa Elizabeth and a big part of that is because Valerie, the Building Manager is incredible. I have lived in various Apts in NY for 10 years and she, is hands down, the BEST I have ever worked with. She goes above and beyond to accommodate you and make you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

I have lived in Villa Elisabeth for a couple of months moving from europe and I have only good experiences here. They have new property management (she is great and very helpful) and they have a new maintenance staff for anything that is broken/needs to be fixed, which he works in a very detailed way. The neighbors are very nice and quiet. The apartment needed A LOT of upgrades when I moved in and took over a month for the maintenance to complete but it was finished and it looks good now. They could update their windows in the apartment since they aren’t very good with the weather changes and keeping warm/cold air out, they’re very outdated. Overall when searching for an apartment (I went to 22 before I chose this spot) I looked at the ratings online and looked at the pictures and what people were saying. This one didn’t have crazy high rating but I said why not let’s give it a shot. I think the ratings you are reading are from like past management and I seriously could not recommend any other apartment than this one it’s the all around package! Could be cheaper in rent but hey that’s the market in LA.

Perfect location with VERY attentive and caring management. Valerie has been amazing from day 1--tour, move in date, managing any appliance issues (few and very minor), and always being available. Any questions or concerns are always answered promptly. I love living at Villa Elizabeth!

Worst owners ever. I left The moment my lease was up.All they care about is milking residents for as much money as they can. Residents used to have access to storage units but they took them away and now now charge $20/month. They also constantly change the rules. Most residents chose to live here because dogs were not allowed. But with the new owners they saw an opportunity to make a quick buck and so they started allowing dogs and of course they started charging exorbitant monthly pet fees. Without regard to how this would affect residence. The rents have skyrocketed and they look for any opportunity to charge you for anything and everything. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

I was made to feel very welcome as soon as I came to the apartment and management helped by giving me a list of restaurants and things to do in the local area (which is priceless to someone visiting not wanting to waste time/money). The apartment itself is very clean and in a great location. Will definitely be staying here again on my return to LA!

I have lived in this building for a number of years and seen it change ownership more than once. The current owners did a nice job renovating the building to give it a more modern look. This is especially true of the elevators, which were excruciatingly slow and dilapidated previously (and elevators are not a cheap task). Management (on-site Property Manager, Valerie) is rather responsive now (where previously under different ownership, things that weren't plumbing emergencies, for example, would just not get fixed for months). Valerie has technicians at the property at least a couple times a week for maintenance. One tech in particular, Victor, has helped me a couple of times and is absolutely great. Love the location of this building as I can walk to a ton of retail, and it's far enough west that it's less chaotic and cleaner than Hollywood proper. Two blocks away, Plummer Park's Monday farmers market (9AM-2PM) is on the small side but has everything that you need. Be sure to check out the Eyes and Ears Corn Roasters for an amazing lunch at the market. The Spaulding Square neighborhood just northwest of the building is pleasant for walks if you've got a four-legged friend, and Runyon Canyon is also a short walk if you're into something more strenuous. I would love if Villa Elizabeth would spring for a small gym with even a few cardio machines, but Crunch, Equinox, 24 Hour Fitness and Gold's are all within a reasonable distance as are Pilates and yoga studios. Drop by The Electric Owl two blocks up the street after your workout for happy hour and enjoy a locals spot with a great patio. Blackwood Coffee essentially across the street from The Owl is also fantastic. This building really is close to everything...if only it were a little bit closer to a freeway :)

Valerie has been wonderful throughout the process of leasing and moving into an apartment at Villa Elizabeth. She has been very responsive and helpful in answering questions and keeping us informed throughout the leasing process. She's had many repairs made to the unit to ensure it's in good condition for us. The building has a salt water pool and is in close proximity to many restaurants and stores. Overall we are very pleased with our new home at Villa Elizabeth!

I called My apartment MGR, Valerie on Saturday about my washing machine and bathtub and she immediately took care of the problem. Valerie always is very helpful and has a great smile. She has made our stay at Villa Elizabeth Apts a pleasure. Thank you Monty R.

I've been in my apartment here for 7 years. It's a great building, convenient location, everyone is really nice here, and the building manager, Valerie, responds quickly if I have any issues. I read below that someone said that they took our storage units away, and are now charging $20- they took it away for about a month to refurbish them then they gave them back to us, and they don't charge me $20 so I'm not sure what that person is talking about. Honestly, it's a great building, and if any issues come up Valerie takes care of it :)

So happy to have found a unit that we really enjoy in Villa Elizabeth. The apartment is spacious and updated with amenities. Since we moved in, whenever we have an issue, we call the building manager Valerie and she is quick to respond and resolve our issues. Everyone in the building is very nice and we really enjoy the gated parking. It's definitely a lovely place to live!

Phoned this place when I was looking for an apartment. We know how LA is, I called the number anxiously for about a week straight nervous that the unit posted online would be booked by someone else. Anyway, the phone rang off the hook. If this is indicative of the property's operations I would be concerned.

This building has been good to me for the last four years. I love that I can always count on the manager, Valerie, to respond quickly and helpfully.

Valarie Maldonado has recently become our new building manager and has done a great job since coming to Villa Elizabeth. She's super responsive when there have been any issues with my apartment maintenance. Valarie is always super friendly and is a great addition to the building.

I've lived in this building for 18 years. Valerie is a great manager, she responds to maintenance requests and general questions & concerns promptly and even had a donut social for neighbors to connect:) She does it all with grace & kindness.
