The 12 Best New Restaurants in Baltimore | Eater

"A secret door down an alleyway of Harbor East leads to this speakeasy-style cocktail bar that features drinks, decor, and bartender theatrics that match the neighborhood’s other upscale dining destinations. Head bartender Shawn Stewart is behind the cocktail creations, some of which are served smoking, flaming, or with the help of liquid nitrogen, while glitzy chandeliers, leather-tufted seats, and the sounds of nightly live jazz only add to the drama." - Ryan Detter

Cool seductive spot. If you can get a decent seat, it’s the perfect place to bring a date for intimate conversations. The waiters help a lot with craft drink selections but the beverages come out a bit too slow for my liking. I do think it’s worth visiting though, especially before the crowd gets in.

If you’re in Baltimore and looking for an elevated, intimate cocktail experience, Elk Room is absolutely worth checking out. It’s tucked away like a proper speakeasy should be, and the second you walk in you know you’re in for something special. First off, whoever runs the hospitality here really deserves credit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and offered the choice of sitting at the bar or in one of their cozy lounge areas. We chose the lounge, which was a great call—the furniture was beautiful and actually comfortable, the lighting was warm and inviting, and the whole space just felt perfectly curated without being the least bit pretentious. Service was honestly some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and super attentive without hovering. They presented us with their cocktail menu as well as an impressive spirits list. Coming from New York, I’ve seen plenty of well-stocked bars, but Elk Room’s list was legit and clearly put together with care. Cocktails were top-notch. Every drink we tried was balanced, creative, and well-executed. Prices were totally fair too, with most drinks ranging from about $15 to $22. For the quality and the vibe, that felt more than reasonable. One of the biggest highlights was the live music. It added such a great layer to the experience without ever being too loud or intrusive. It felt like the perfect soundtrack to an evening out. Honestly, Elk Room was one of my favorite stops during my trip to Baltimore. It’s the kind of place you want to linger for hours in good company over multiple rounds. Highly recommend for date nights, special occasions, or even just a chill evening if you appreciate a great cocktail in a beautiful space. 5 out of 5 stars for me. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.

The Elk Room is one of the best bar experiences you’ll have on the East Coast, and a gem in the city of Baltimore. The service is always on point, and makes quality cocktails. The atmosphere is always great vibes and superb ambiance. They have a great food menu to pair with any drink you order.

Google
I cannot rave about this place enough! As a bourbon enthusiast, this place is heaven. They had very rare bourbons at super fair prices on most selections. Some prices were a little high, but overall very fair. Server was super accommodating if they didn't have a certain bourbon in stock and offered be comparables. Bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly. It is a speakeasy style place, so it's not well lit as part of the theme, but I will make this a point to visit every time I'm in Baltimore

Google
Interesting bar/lounge with a dark rustic vibe. Service was good. Cocktails tasted great but were a little weak considering the price, which is not shown on the menu. I was a little shocked when two drinks were nearly $50. The decor was cool but a little fake IMO, like a theater set. It didn’t feel as authentic as I’d expected.

Google
Great spot with a really nice vibe! It was actually fun to find—kind of like a hidden gem (LOL). The atmosphere is spot-on, and the menu is fascinating. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating this place. That said, I was hoping for a little more flair with the cocktail presentation. With everything else being so creative, the drinks felt a bit underwhelming visually. Still, a fantastic experience overall!

Google
Out of town visitors. Dropped in to enjoy this place another time. We had previously lived in the area and would frequent this place with friends. One of our fave spots. It's changed quite a bit. *Enjoyed the live music. *Drinks were not the greatest - not from what they used to taste like. Lacked flavor and creativity. *Food was delicious. *Service was slow! Would've had another round of I didn't have to wait 45mins for our server to return and offer to take our food and drink order. I would return. I understand busy times can interrupt service and drink quality. Wasn't an issue before but I'll assume it was an off day.

Google
Pros: Beautiful relaxing atmosphere with a speakeasy historic vibe. Decent food with moderate prices. Nice choice of handcrafted cocktails. Clean 😁 They have live music many nights and that music as well as the radio music is at a good volume... not too loud and not so quiet you think you are hearing things! Cons: Service - Host and waitstaff is a hit or miss. I find some staff to be rather short in temper borderline condescending or rude, while others are the opposite. Furthermore, you may wait for 20 minutes to get waited on when the place is mostly empty, or you may get service immediately. In my opinion, for the price you pay here and what it is supposed to be, one should not have to wait more than 5 minutes to be waited on and all staff needs to respect customers. I do not like to use names here and call out waitstaff :) I just hope that management will discuss their manner and work ethic with all staff to ensure that customers are getting the best experience possible. Drinks - The drinks are not always prepared the same; sometimes you get a nice strong well made drink, other times, as other reviewers have said, the drinks are watered down. One drink that I had tasted it was literally almost like water with a dash of orange juice! Long story short with the negatives, there is a lack of consistency with service and drinks :) It should be spot on every time.

Yelp
Accidentally spilled two drinks, staff was very nice about it and offered to remake drinks at no extra charge. Would definitely recommend, the drinks, ambiance, and staff were amazing!

Yelp
My brother, an executive chef, recommended The Elk Room to me, and I'm so glad he did! Tucked away in a small alley near the Baltimore Harbor, this spot is full of intrigue, starting with the secret password required to get in. Once inside, you're greeted by a host in an intimate, curtain-enclosed space before being transported to a swanky, upscale speakeasy that feels like a hidden gem. The ambiance at The Elk Room is unmatched--low lighting creates a cozy, elite vibe that photos simply can't capture. The menu is as creative as it is refined, both in presentation and flavors. The bartenders are polished professionals, moving with effortless precision behind the bar. While I've dined here before (they have a small but well-curated menu), this time I stopped in just for drinks, which were excellent as always. The Elk Room is a must-visit for me every time I'm in Baltimore, and I can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
The Elk Room definitely nails the speakeasy vibe--intimate, dimly lit, and effortlessly cool. It's a perfect spot for a chill and relaxing night out. The ambiance is top-notch, with cozy seating, great music, and an overall inviting atmosphere. However, the service left a lot to be desired. After being seated by the host, no one came to our table for at least 10-15 minutes. I finally had to get up and ask a server to come over, which really took away from the experience. Once we finally got service, the drinks were well-crafted and enjoyable, but the initial wait and lack of attentiveness definitely soured things a bit. If they improve their service, this place could easily be a five-star experience. But for now, I'd say it's a solid spot if you have the patience to wait a little longer than expected. Would I come back? Maybe--but I'd hope for better service next time.

Yelp
Medium sized place. My manhattan was amazing. Bartender wasn't very engaging but I mean he made the drinks perfectly so I can't really complain- not there to talk to the bartenders. Definitely a nice and cozy spot to have a drink and talk with friends or a date! Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere, tasty drinks and it's fireplace. Also the 2am close time makes a great night any day of the week

Yelp
I enjoy well prepared cocktails so visiting cool cocktail lounges is something I enjoy. This place is really cool and masculine in decor. Old school hunting lodge vibe. The drinks were decent but not the best I've had. Customer service was outstanding but I have to say I think the drinks are a tad bit overpriced for me. I go to cocktail bars often in DC but the featured drinks, while decent didn't leave me wanting more. But, hey maybe I ordered the wrong drink twice!

Yelp
Lovely speakeasy in Baltimore. It is very hard to get a seat but we ended up getting lucky and getting a seat at the bar. Just expect to wait. They have a large selection of bourbons at decent prices. The cocktails are very interesting and good but a tad bit pricey. The vibe and atmosphere is very neat and cozy. The food also looked really good even though we didn't eat anything. Overall a cool spot!

Yelp
The Elk Room is a vibe! One of the better speakeasies in Baltimore. It's darkly lit, with lots of couch style seating and is the perfect spot for a meet up with friends or a romantic night out. The cocktails were delicious- I had the passion pit and the eternal sunshine. We also ordered some French fries that came from their sister restaurant Tagliata. Honestly some of the best French fries I've had and even ordered a portion to go. Service was also impeccable from getting seated to closing out.

Yelp
The drinks here are more adventurous than your normal cocktail bar and spirit forward. While the ingredients taste too notch, the biggest drawback was how expensive the cocktails were at $20, including the two mocktails on the menu. None of us loved our cocktails, but enjoyed them, but we felt there was better bang for our buck (ahem) elsewhere. Love the ambiance - it's like you stepped into a Scottish hunting lodge with wooly tartan couches and leather accents, dark moody colors and hunting prizes mounted on the walls. There was also a lovely jazz singer with piano accompaniment the night we were there. Service was attentive and they checked in often. Since we arrived around midnight on a Friday we were able to get a seat quite quickly without a wait.

Yelp
A Friday night in little Italy. Tonight my wife treated us to drinks at the elk room which is a known speakeasy located in the Atlas corner of tagliata and monarche. Upon arrival I was greeting by energetic lady Mikayla, she was very accommodating and entertaining as we were waiting for an available table during this busy Friday. Upon walking in you are greeted by red velvet curtains, low lighting, noises from the bartender crafting drinks and very comfortable seats as you await your waiter to take your order. The menu was intricate and detailed. With many ingredients that would require you to ask questions like I did but as someone who likes to taste how a drink is crafted It excited me. I first tried the nefarious purposes which was a very funky drink as my waiter warned me about. The drink had an earthy taste with a slight sweet aftertaste that honestly I was not a fan of. If you're someone with an easy stomach this might not be the one for you. The waiter asked if I wanted to switch out to another drink which I took his offer and chose the bebop. The bebop was blended well to the point that I was unaware that It had wasabi in It. The mezcal smokiness added a great blend of smokiness to compliment the sweetness of the coconut and sweet Potato. Overall this is a great speakeasy and It if you're ever hungry you can take a couple steps to either monarque or tagliata but you will spend a pretty penny.

Yelp
Despite an hour wait on a busy Saturday evening, this bar proved worth the delay. The helpful hostess directed us to their sister location next door to pass the time. Once seated near the bar, we enjoyed live music, uniquely flavored and potent drinks. Will return!

Yelp
The elk room is amazing! I love this place. The lighting is low and cozy. The chairs are inviting. The service is impeccable. My drink was perfect. It made it really easy to speak with my friend I was spending time with. I don't know if that's what that means but I enjoyed my time there. Also, the truffle fries and aioli sauce was the perfect bar bite.

Yelp
Visited the elk room for drinks after a birthday dinner. I liked the fact that this speakeasy was actually kind of hidden. Once we entered, we had to wait a while for someone to come and greet/seat us. During the ID check, the server noticed that we were celebrating a birthday. I thought that was very attentive ! We ordered a few drinks and then were surprised with a birthday dessert! It was a delicious crepe type dessert and I'd go back for that any time ! The space is beautifully decorated and has such a nice ambiance. It's a pretty big place, but still feel intimate.
google avatar

Jessica A.

Yelp
Definitely a nice and calm ambiance to get drinks during your night out. There was also a live band. I ordered the Golden Fleece cocktail, which was on the sweeter end but the yogurt made it very creamy which I loved.
google avatar

Xiwei P.

Yelp
Pros: lovely decor, well-crafted drinks Cons: servers can be condescending I really enjoyed my experience here! The decor is cozy but classy, and we even had live music! This is a perfect date spot. We got seated immediately on a Saturday night. I'm not a huge drinker, so I ordered pretty basic cocktails. But they were all genuinely delicious and smooth. I got an aperol spritz, daiquiri, and mojito. I do wish the mojito came with fresh mint, but the flavor was still good. The biggest con is the service. Although our server was attentive with filling our water, he was very condescending. I rarely complain about service because I understand that we all have bad days, but I was really shocked this time! For such a nice establishment, I expected better. Our server kept trying to upsell us, and when we explained that we were new to drinking and politely asked for more simple recommendations, he scoffed. Then he sighed when we ordered, as if he was offended that we didn't choose something fancier. I just wish he'd understand that we all have to start somewhere! Anyway, I will still come back because I enjoy the ambiance and drinks. But I truly hope the managers can work on having a more cohesive and polite service team.

Yelp
Lovely experience! Went here on a date, we sat ourlt the bar, and enjoyed the show of making drinks! Sorry I can't remember the bartenders name (I notoriously write reviews late) but he was incredibly personal, as hw would build our profile so he could create THE PERFECT drink for us, and he did! The Elk is a intimate sized speakeasy, there was live music, and dim lighting. Host and bartender were welcoming. This is a perfect date environment. We only had drinks, but food is available. Although it's street parking, we quickly found a spot right across from the place.
google avatar

Jake T.

Yelp
Great place with such cool vibe. Got to experience the secret entrance at the phone booth which was so cool. The drinks were made with great technique and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable. Will recommend to anyone!
google avatar

Julia P.

Yelp
Pretty cool speakeasy with okay drinks. The elk room is hidden next to Tagliata and a total vibe. Drinks, however, could be better. We could tell they tried to be creative with the drinks, but I've had much better drinks at Monarque -- right next door. If you want to checkout a speakeasy bar, the elk room is a place to visit. If you want good drinks, this might not be the place for you.
google avatar

Donyiel C.

Yelp
I love a good speakeasy. What can I say?! This one is great. Easy to miss if you don't know. The name isn't blasted out front. You have to walk through a courtyard to get to it. Even then, you have to find the right door! Once you're in, it's a whole vibe. I can see why it's been named one of the best cocktail rooms in America!! Service is great. Seating is cozy. Drinks were good. I enjoyed the "Rose and Oat." I won't lie, I was a bit skeptical at first, but it's best to keep an open mind and give it a try. The cocktails on the menu are all $20. I recommend checking this place out! You won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
I would say my first two visits to the elk room were 5 star visits. In Oct 2022, I visited the first time with two people. We sat in the back room which had an awesome Halloween theme and had different cocktails. It was so great that my husband and I visited a few months later (January 20203) and loved that they had changed up the menu. Fast forward to December 2023, we visited again. I was a little sad that the menu was the same as when we visited. That's the main reason for 4 stars. Having seen the innovation the year prior, it was disappointing to not see any changes. One thing about me is that I'm consistent in what I order, so I picked what looked best to me on the menu (Fig & Matcha) and after I ordered, I looked back on my photos and realized it was one of the same drinks I ordered last time. The vibe of this place is dark and hip.The service is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is high end and tasty. I'd love to see some different drinks next time I visit.

Yelp
The Elk Room is one of the better speakeasies in town. They have nailed the ambience and vibe. The interior is beautifully decorated, like the inside of the country estate of a person who comes from generational wealth - a lot of leather, wood, low lights, and artisanal touches. It's truly a fun place to hang out. In addition to the bar, there is a lounge area with clusters of casual seating. You won't find any boring restaurant style tables and chairs here, just couches, armchairs, and other plush furniture. To find it, turn into the courtyard by Tagliata and it's the last door on the left; an old school basement style black door with a red light over it, no sign. The entryway is a coat rack, a host stand, and a bunch of curtains, so you can't see inside until the host brings you to your seat. The cocktails are beautiful, creative, and fun. They are also $20. All in all, if you can get past this bar being part of Atlas, it's a unique place to grab a drink in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
What a super quaint cozy and entertaining venue. Definitely would go back as a night cap spot. Live music. Great craft cocktail selections. A must go to.
google avatar

Courtney A.

Yelp
The truly enjoyed the elk room. The drinks are amazing and a great place for a date night.
google avatar

Cammi P.

Yelp
The vibes of this "speakeasy" are amazing. It was originally hard to find because there are no signs but once inside it's memorizing. While the truffle fries were good, the drinks were average. The drinks didn't have much flavor and the selection was different and funky. I would definitely go back for the vibes, especially because the staff was so nice!
google avatar

Damon H.

Yelp
As viby as it gets. Awesome. Knowledge servers and impeccable decor. Viva le Baltimore
google avatar

Shawna M.

Yelp
This speakeasy is a cool chill place that makes good cocktails. You can find it by walking past the outside seating to Tagliatas and it's on the left hand side. As a true speak east, there is no sign or marking, so you just have to try and hope your in the right place! The cocktails are a standard $18 or $20, but they are craft cocktails so that price point is not surprising to me. The seating is comfortable and the layout gives a fair amount of privacy if that's your thing. Overall I like to stop here when I'm in the city at night (which isn't often) as it's great for an after dinner drink or pre-game situation

Janeth P.

Yelp
Good ambiance . Small place, live music was great. Drinks value were accurate. Excellent place with good service. They accommodate you even without reservation.
google avatar

Sabrina P.

Yelp
Plan to get that early to put your name on the waitlist. We were able to go to the Italian disco place door and have a drink while waiting, and because they are the same ownership as soon as our table is ready we were able to walk over with drink in hand and take our new seats. One seated it has great ambiance, very low lighting, very intimate. All seating felt very private and exclusive. The staff was very polite and attentive. French cuisine, all very good. Such a wonderful time, will absolutely recommend and be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! So glad that I found this. It is a true speakesy -- was pretty hard to time. We had to ask the valet drivers in front how to get into the speakeasy. It's a non-descript door in the back of the restaurant courtyard. I love the decor: has an old library vibe. There was also live music, and not too loud that it wasn't overpowering. Now onto their food and drink menu. Their drinks menu is great. So many different fun options, with different liquors and flavor profiles. I ended up getting both whiskey drinks. They were very well balanced and delicious! Food is very pricey, but I ended up making a full meal out of 2 of the sides: truffle fries and brussel sprouts. Both were very good. The scent of truffle really perfumes the entire space, so I knew that I needed to get something with truffle. Truffle fries were very good. Brussel sprouts had an interesting twist to them because they had a sweetness too. i actually really liked the sweet and crispy and savory combo of the brussels.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing cocktail bar! We enjoyed the drinks and the ambiance. The service was just ok however.
google avatar

Sthevanie L.

Yelp
This is a cute speakeasy styled bar in the Atlas courtyard. The drinks are on the pricier side but strong enough that you won't mind after lol. The environment feels private and the noise levels are not too high. They tend to stay busy so I would recommend stopping by earlier to enjoy good seating for live music.
google avatar

Sofi K.

Yelp
speakeasy fancy bar with amazing service! It's going to be my favourite place in Baltimore...
google avatar

Jeremy F.

Yelp
Service was great! Waiter continued to check on us and gave great suggestions. Ambiance was so dope and intimate with live music. Felt so rustic! Food was cool too but needs more vegetarian options.
google avatar

Kendra B.

Yelp
I came here with a group of friends and it was the best food I've had in Baltimore for a long time. I got the brussels sprouts which were bursting with flavor. Two people at the table got the burger and one person said it was the best burger they had in their life.the drinks were crafted to perfection and the ambience was Moody and relaxing. I enjoyed the servers who were very personable and down to earth. I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
9'15'2022 Birthday Night Cap A great gf of mine and I headed over to The Elk Room after birthday dinner nearby. Lawrd knows I live for a good Speakeasy. Luckily for me, this one was GREAT !! Mysteriously attractive woodsy décor w dainty furniture and chandeliers. Lively environment. Great for catching up w a friend, 1st date and/ or people watching. We were able to walk right in and get a seat at the bar where we were greeted by Mark who was pretty awesome. We both ordered a Fool's Gold (Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Cherry, Almond, Lemon, Honey, Eucalyptus). It was pretty tasty... damn strong. I like strong. 1 and done drink to sip. Quality drinks, awesome environment and a great tasty surprise birthday Crepe. Very thoughtful and kind of Mark as I mentioned my reasoning for being at a Speakeasy on a Thursday night. I have visited this establishment again since 9'15'2022 on 11'25'2022 and another great experience was shared. See ya again soon The Elk Room.
google avatar

Daniela S.

Yelp
Overall Topnotch design, ambiance, hospitality, decor, food, and drink quality. You better bring ya cuz it's $$$ It's cold, but what speakeasy isn't? So if you're cold blooded you already know, cover up. Definitely fancy

Yelp
If you like unique cocktails, go to The Elk Room. My party of four wandered in on a Sunday evening around 8:30 p.m. and got seated right away. (Granted, our seats were odd. They put us by the cold door and forgot about us for awhile.) Once our server remembered us, we ordered from their extensive menu. Cocktails are $20 and glasses from their robust liquor menu are less. All of our drinks were good to excellent. The winner for the sweet tooth was the Passion Pit. It's light, refreshing and full of flavor! The atmosphere is set up like a 1920s speakeasy so expect dim lighting.
google avatar

Yelp
If you are in Baltimore and love bars, I highly recommend this bar! One of the best bars in Baltimore, definitely in the top 5 for the following reasons. Drinks are a bit pricey but are very delicious. Everything we had was customed and created to perfection to include the esthetics of the drinks. They were visually stunning meticulously crafted with floral arrangements, artistic ice shapes and creatively cut fruits. Whether you like sweet or bitter drinks you will not be disappointed. They also have a food menu for snacks if you are hungry. The staff is very attentive and they have great customer service. The bartenders would bring our drinks very enthusiastically. As for the vibe itself, very relaxing, dimmed lighting, great place to chat and to relax. Overall, this bar is fantastic from the drinks, the service and the vibes. You will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Amanda P.

Yelp
We love a speakeasy and this one is not easy to find! The three of us wandered around the back of the restaurant to find the entrance. In the end, I scrolled through Yelp reviews until someone mentioned the black door on the left as you walk through the outside. Thank God for crowdsourcing! We ordered: Fools gold--good but not my favorite of them Litsune--layered flavor and spicy Falcon punch--yummy and tropical All drinks on the menu were $18 which is too much for the average person who wants to get drinks. We are not in NYC. However, the drinks were all unique, so I'm not as mad about it as I could be.
google avatar

Elaine C.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Baltimore!! The ambiance and the food are amazing, it really feels like you entered the past with the speakeasy vibe. The cocktails are a little pricey at $20 per drink but every drink that I have gotten here has been beautiful and so good. This time around we got the fools gold and the splitzille (both of which I recommend).

Yelp
Another hidden gem in Baltimore. If you like SpeakEasys and Cigar bars, look no further than the Elk Room. There is one catch. You have to find it. But once you do, welcome to Bourbon and Cigar Nirvana. When you walk into the main bar area, you will see counter to ceiling, wall to wall assortment exotic liquors. The bartenders are truly magicians as they turn these ingredients to tongue tantalizing cocktails. But the party does not stop there. Hidden within is another bar of the cigar type. An even more impressive space with its own fully stocked bar. There is ample plush seating. Great for small parties and game events. Will definitely visit here again.

Anne Z.

Yelp
I've had two vastly different experiences here. The first one was 5 stars all around-- ambiance was spot on what you'd expect-- dark, fun decor with seating that added to the mystery. Server was super helpful in picking drinks and knew his stuff hands-down. Second time here was a disappointment. The server seemingly couldn't be bothered to help with drink selection and I ended up with something I absolutely hated. I had offered up dislikes and it wasn't mentioned when I ordered this drink that it likely would not fit the flavor profile I was looking for. On top of this, service was slow and we had to flag someone down to get our check. We were also seated in the center section (first time was the back room) and the ambiance was not as good there-- more like any other cocktail bar.

Eddie D.

Yelp
Great food, service, and drinks! I'll be back for sure. Ambiance was pleasant as well.

Yelp
Not much to say other than cool vibes, tasty drinks, and friendly staff. A must visit for drinks in Baltimore!

Yelp
The Elk Room is such a cool place, the decor and ambiance is amazing. We have delicious cocktails and were lucky enough to come on a day where they had live music. The waiter seemed to be very busy and didn't explain much about the menu. I would definitely return and bring more friends.

Tracy D.

Yelp
We had to wait around 45 minutes before we got in so we went next door while we waited. Once we got in it was a chill vibe especially compared to next door. We had truffle fries with our drinks. All tasted good.

Yelp
Cloaked in mystery, The Elk Room was a fun spot to have a cocktail. Waking in and pushing past the thick curtain, I see an inviting bar stocked with quality spirits. Let's not get it twisted, if you want to drink like James Bond then get ready to pay $18 for each cocktail. For my cocktail I chose "Fools Gold", made with Buffalo Trace Whiskey, almond, lemon, honey and eucalyptus. Shaken, not stirred Inside, it's a very cool vibe. Details such as red leather seats and couches for your crew to lounge? Makes this a fun cocktail spot. I was still thirsty after I finished my drink but didn't want to peel off another $20 bill so I ordered a beer on tap. The Elk Room was a nice experience. Fun cocktails in a cool setting. Highly recommended, license to kill not needed to enter.

Yelp
A true speakeasy! Amazing drinks! You wouldn't know this place existed if you didn't know where this was located. The door has no sign which makes it even more intriguing. The entrance is small and dark ... mysterious in a good way. Once inside, it's spacious, cozy and dark. Live jazz music was great the night we came in. The drinks are pricey but well worth it!! There is a cigar lounge, but for members only. The service was great as well, our waiter took the time to explain the menu.

Yelp
Had the most lovely evening at the elk room. Matt couldn't have been more lovely and recommended the perfect drink. I swear my cocktail (not pictured) tasted like an ice cream sundae but was definitely not short on booze. The burger is easily the best. Other faves were the passion pit, which is a staple on their cocktail menu and the espresso martinis. Highly suggest sitting in the cute cubby style chairs!
