"The Emerson Restaurant, Brockton Village by Concrete. This is a great spot to gather around the table with your kids, or if you're solo there's a welcoming bar with lots of seats. Don't mistake the chill, family friendly vibe for subpar food - in fact it's quite the opposite. We highly recommend trying out 'The Grand Royal' double cheese burger, Jerk Branzino and one of the many delicious sides."

I recently visited the Emerson Restaurant with a small group. on a Friday night it is not clearly marked so we actually walked right by it. We sat at a high table and I felt the establishment to be a combination of a bar and restaurant. The lighting is dim and it is quite loud, which can be difficult for intimate conversation. It is obviously a popular neighborhood spot as their were many groups from the area grabbing dinner and drinks. Service was good, but nothing over the top. The menu is composed of entrees, starters and sides, with plenty of alcoholic options. The entrees are not a complete meal it is expected that you order sides. I had the steak which was cooked perfectly and thoroughly enjoyed it, but another member of our party was not as satisfied with his own. My girlfriend tried the chicken and felt like it was subpar~as it was fatty and soggy. We sampled all 5 sides and though they were solid I won't be headed back for these alone. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, but I believe if I had been picking up the tab and had not been in such good company it wouldn't have been as enjoyable of an evening as it was. Certainly would give it another try, but won't be rushing back to do so.

Beautiful restaurant with a nice ambiance. I went only once at night for dinner, tried the Surf and turf and wasn’t disappointed. It’s a bit fancy so a bit pricy. It was just a bit noisy but overall I recommend it, it’s a good place and the staff was very friendly.

Great food if a bit pricey. I didn't love that their mains were all just protein and their service was a little half-hearted but good overall.

I can't speak highly enough about the food, staff, ambience and overall experience at the Emerson. We are regulars there and we've yet to have a bad experience. The menu is simple and delicious and as an extra treat, Tuesday night is buck a shuck oysters. They bend over backwards to accommodate my celiac issues and I've never gotten sick. It's definitely one of our favorite local spots in the city and I highly recommend it!

The food is pretty consistent here. I’ve been 3 times now and I’ve been very satisfied with the dishes. Good menu to share with someone or a group as well. The Brussel sprouts are a must have and two of the people I was with today had the burger and both raved about it. Vibe and atmosphere is also super chill and I love the 90’s hip hop play list.

Relaxed atmosphere and good food that's a cut above a pub. I had a lovely local trout with delicate vegetables and my friend had the pork. Our sides were both fabulous-- nine was grilled asparagus. Nice little wine selection, too.

By the description on Google before we went in, it sounded more pub-like. I would call it more of a lounge. I enjoyed the atmosphere, though we were seated at the back and it was very dim, even before the sun set. The menu is very small and gourmet, which is great if that's what you are expecting! The food was excellent. I had the special of the day which was T-bone lamb with polenta and it was fantastic. The servers seemed a bit removed, they weren't particularly friendly and didn't offer help, we kept having to ask (i.e. what the specials were, refills on water, etc.). In the end, the food was worth the price. I would recommend with some good company!

dollar oysters are pretty decent. Overall food was good but not great. Burger is expensive. if you're going to pay $14 for just a burger you'd be better off at Burgers Priest. The service wasn't great either. Server didn't even offer us dessert. Just brought us the check as soon as were done our mains.
