"The Emory is an American place at the top of Beacon Hill, next to the State House. It’s one of the best options for dinner in the area, thanks to a menu that has a lot of familiar stuff done with interesting twists, like tagliatelle served with chicken skin and a burger that’s topped with fondue. When the weather is nice, you can sit on a patio on a part of Beacon Street that doesn’t get too much traffic, and the inside is fun, too, thanks to a big bar." - Dan Secatore

Birthday lunch with co-worker was very chill with great food. We both have dietary restrictions, so the abundance of gluten free and vegan options was a major plus. Fries were a bit stringy (not enough substance for me), but were seasoned nicely. Black bean slider was awesome and the perfect size! Prices were also amazing! $5 sliders, $6 for a very full Michigan Cherry salad (that was dinner for the evening)... Looking forward to returning!

Unfortunately, this was the last time to dine here as they close their doors for good tomorrow 12/29. Ashley was amazing, and the blueberry cucumber drink was tasty and refreshing. Thanks, Emory, for always being an evening spot we could come to for a good meal, great service and refreshing drinks.

Absolutely love this place, we have the pleasure of hosting drag brunches every month here. The service is never lacking, the drinks always arrive on time in our delicious, and don’t even get us started on the food! Even outside of our drag, brunches, and any special events this is one of my go to eating spots! They never disappoint!!

Google
It was the perfect day to enjoy the patio at the Emory. Mellita, our waiter made sure we enjoyed our experience. We had a few sliders and fries. I had the regular fries, and they left alot to be deserved, they lacked seasoning and flavor for me. The truffle fries were obviously more elevated. The chipotle honey bbq slider was good, however i anticipated that the chicken would be drenched in the sauce, the sauce was only on top there top portion of the bun. The classic with substituted turkey patty with the special sauce was great. I added lettuce and tomato as well.

Food was amazing 👍🏽👍🏽 from the beginning. Got the bottomless mimosas of “Gran Valor”w/ pineapple & oj 🍊. Chicken and Waffles 🧇, Corned Beef Hash, with a coffee of course! Until next time! #keepemhungry

Google
At The Emory, expect stellar service and an unforgettable three cheese grilled sandwich. Their small plates are equally delicious, making it a brunch spot worth revisiting.

Google
The food was absolutely delicious. That French toast was Fab-u-lous! I took it home and didn't eat it for 2 days, and guess what? It was just as amazing as it was the first day. The server was nice as well. The Emory is a great spot for brunch.

Google
PACK YOUR PATIENCE! That was my first time coming to The Emory, my girlfriend was getting together with a few of her church members and she invited me to join them. The restaurant was nice, it was very clean and the food and cocktails were great. However if you go there, you need to not be in a hurry to eat. I got there around 12 pm, we sat there for at least 35 to 40 minutes, for a waitress. The waitress came and took our drink order and we waited another 15 minutes for the waitress to bring our drinks, that’s when we put in our food order. We waited awhile for that as well. It seemed like she was the only waitress working, because it took forever for her to bring us our order. She was very polite, by the way. I could see if the restaurant was crowded, but there was hardly anyone in there. I would probably go there again, but they need to be more expedient with serving customers in a timely manner

Yelp
Service - great. Ambiance - good. It was a little chill, but it was also cold outside. There's a bar area, tables and chairs...plenty of seating choices. There's aloa a little "lounge-like" area which is ideal.if you're just coming for drinks. Food - I'd say so-so. We came for brunch My friend had the chicken and waffles, which he liked. He did say the waffle was a little soft, like it was the first one off the waffle maker. You know how it is when you're making waffles at home...they don't get really good until you've made a few. I had the early riser - scrambled eggs, pepper bacon (you choose your protein), sausage gravy and biscuit, slice of french toast (you choose your bread). These best thing on the plate was the pepper bacon (nice and crispy, plenty of pepper, but not too much), followed by the potatoes. The French toast was okay as well, but the spread they serve it with (cinnamon butter?) was definitely a miss. Just go with butter and syrup if you order french toast, you'll thank me. The eggs were okay, but reminded me of the premixed eggs you get in the carton. The biscuit with "house-made sausage gravy"...no, no, just no! No flavor, no sausage (maybe 2 crumbles), no good. All I'll say about the coffee is that if you like really strong coffee, you'll love theirs. Will I come back? Sure.

Yelp
Bomb bunch! I hadn't tried The Emory before and I have no idea why! We went for brunch and everything was absolutely delicious and the service is so nice! The Winter Bod Bowl was jam packed with tasty things and only $13.00! Crispy truffle roasted potatoes, melty cheddar cheese, sweet caramelized onions, bacon, and two eggs how you like

Yelp
My friends and I decided to meet for brunch in a neutral location, and all agreed to try The Emory. I love the Ferndale area, so I was excited to try the restaurant. There were a few menu items that caught my eye, but I decided to go with a side order of the Truffle Fries, and the Spicy Boi Bowl w/ an English Muffin. The food was really appetizing to me, and my friends also enjoyed their food as well. The only concern that we had was the overall service. Our waitress did not come to our table for almost 15 minutes to take our orders. After we ordered our drinks and food, we did not receive the drinks until about 20 minutes later, and one of my friends went to talk to (I believe it was the manager, a lady that was serving drinks behind the bar and was told that there were only two waiters trying to serve the entire restaurant). Our food came out shortly afterwards, and again, the food was really good. But we had to keep asking for water refills, extra napkins, and butter and jelly for our toast. We went on a Sunday afternoon, around 1:30 pm. I wouldn't mind going back to try other menu options at the restaurant, bc it's nice vibe, and I love the location. I would just hope next time the service is more efficient.

Kara S.

Yelp
We came around 10:30 on a Friday night, and they had their late night menu instead of their regular menu. Wish it said online what time their late night menu started. But the food they did have was really good! Their truffle fries were to die for, with a really good aioli to dip them in. Service was quick and friendly. There was both a bar area and a dining area depending on what vibe you're looking for. My only complaint is there isn't much for a vegetarian on their late night menu. I would definitely still come back here though!

Foggy L.

Yelp
Me and my partner use to be semi regulars but we went recently and were served burger sliders that had gone bad...I cook a lot of beef and I can smell when it has turned rancid and there was no doubt about it. We ended telling our server and I felt like they didn't believe us. They didn't even apologize or anything. Very bizarre experience, we will not be back and have told everyone of this weird experience.

Tess S.

Yelp
It seems the Emory has shifted in the last few years. Now they are a slider and small plates joint. We were told to sit wherever we liked and the table service was great, we were brought water and physical menus. Things are marked with a green V for vegetarian, and there are vegan buns available. We tried the apple mule mocktail and ginger says, both were really good. There are vegan options, but they are somewhat limited. I got two sliders with beyond patties, there only was one type of vegan cheese. If ordering again I would skip the mock big Mac because it really isn't a big Mac without the American cheese and sauce- which aren't available veganized. I also ordered the tots which were extremely salty. My husband had two very not vegan sliders which looked fantastic and tried the gnocchi which had great sauce and cornbread but very overdone gnocchi. So tldr, the drinks and service were good but the food and prices (5$ each slider) was nothing to write home about. We probably won't return. If they add more vegan options we may check back.

Leslie C.

Yelp
Excellent service. They were kind enough to accommodate our large reservation for 20 people, and even give us all separate checks too. Very organized and clean restaurant. Cool ambience. The lighting dims in the evening. They have booths and tables, and a full bar. I enjoyed a glass of their Malbec. It's good pub food. I enjoyed a yummy side salad, along with cauliflower wings--fried cauliflower tossed in buffalo sauce. My friends enjoyed their burgers and fries. Another friend enjoyed her Traverse City salad. Very attentive and kind service. Clean and spacious bathroom. Paid parking lot behind the restaurant.

Shunda B.

Yelp
Decided to go on a self date and I sat at the bar - staff was super nice and helpful. I believe I came on Sunday and I think parking was free; there's two entrances the front and the side. Since I sit at the bar I'm unsure if you pick where you want to sit or you wait to be seated but I think it's more of wait to be seated vibe. Unfortunately I forgot what I ordered but it was good; maybe next time I might explore their cocktails while grabbing a bite to eat. I'll definitely return - they gave me this low key vibe and I think I was watching something on Netflix while I dined. Happy Eating!!!

Lynette R.

Yelp
I joined a group of friends here for brunch. The lighting is a bit lacking but the overall ambiance is cozy. The menu selection is pretty diverse. I ended up ordering the Honey-Sriracha Cauliflower Wrap. It was delicious! They put the right amount of sriracha to just give it a bit of a kick but not overpower the sandwich. Considering we had 15 people in our group, the service was very good. I would like to come back and try a couple other items.

Marissa C.

Yelp
I have pasted this place many times but since the windows are tinted pretty dark, I never knew it was a restaurant lol. However, we noticed some people coming out of the restaurant which is what prompted me to do a little investigating and realize it was a restaurant. Inside, it is wonderfully decorated and the bar is super cute! I ordered a salad which was great and a very healthy portion! The Buffalo cauliflower wrap was also really good so much so that I forgot I was eating a vegetable focused wrap! Finally, the beermosa was so sweet and delicious. The best part is that everything was extremely well priced! I will be coming back!

Yelp
WARNINGS: sexual harassment on the job, abusive workplace. The following was posted originally from another person in another group and was immediately taken down, not myself, but the accusations and behavior exhibited by the owner and manager I have personally been witness to. "I worked for WABco (the Emory, the WAB, port and the Loving Touch) on and off for nearly five years. Over a month ago, I sent a three page email to the main owner of WABco detailing what I see as a culture of not only physical hazard but also health, and personnel hazard. " While employed there I was often told to serve expired goods (I refused to do so), employees were expected to work after being physically ill. "I was sexually harassed by a manager who was given a very light slap on the wrist and then allowed to be my closing manager for a whole summer." I saw many male coworkers get away with sexual misconduct, assault, and other abusive behaviors while the women within the company are held to a completely different standard. Myself and others were spoken to in verbally abusive ways by their kitchen manager. "I waited a month after sending an email to the owner and only received a reply from the them after I reaching out a second time and it was nothing but excuses, and no actual acknowledgment of any of my allegations, or even an apology." I am not calling for a boycott, I am simply communicating with my community about a business's practices. A business many of us have brought our children to, a place we've spent our hard-earned money at. A place where we've met friends and significant others. It is high time that we demand better behavior from the businesses within our city. Ferndale is a place where we should all be safe, men, women, children, LGBTQ+, POC. Everyone. I gave the owner a month to give me a response. I have been more than fair in private. I was only met with excuses and no real change was offered.

Yelp
I came here for dinner before an event next door. We arrived with more than enough time to make it to the show on time however due to extremely slow and incorrect service we're late. First the waiter seemed to be inebriated with who knows what cause he was acting all sorts of goofy. First he brought 2 of the same appetisers we order. It's a 2 people date at the table in what world would we have needed 2 of the same AP? That was really nbd just a little confusion I suppose. My date and I are both vegan and we both ordered a black bean slider and beyond slider. When the food arrived we both had a black bean and she had a beyond but my beyond was regular. As it easy to decipher dead animal flesh to a vegetarian patty (especially with one right there to compare to) so I let the waiter know. He brought it back claiming it was the beyond patty, it definitely was not and as I said the waiter seemed to me high so I didn't trust him regardless. I paid for my food and left as we were already very late for the show at this point. I called the next day and they said the manager never comes in so I could find his email on the website and contact him there. His email is not on the website so here I am letting it be know the practices of this establishment. Don't eat here, many better options within a block away.

Yelp
Kara and katie are so great!! I had the best time here with them. Good drinks and laughs shared. Excellent staff

Josh M.

Yelp
After waiting an hour for food to come out it was cold and not eatable. Tastes like they haven't changed the fryer oil in years. Will not return

Michael T.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with a friend, and the service was quick, the food was fresh and delicious and they had a lot of vegan friendly options.

Lisa F.

Yelp
Delicious virgin bloody mary!! I started with that but it kept getting better. I had corned beef hash and over medium eggs. They were perfectly cooked. The seasoning was spot on. Then I tried the truffle hash brown and oh my. The flavors explode in your mouth. So yummy! I will definitely be back!

Jericho K.

Yelp
The new menu is not only great but also the best value in Ferndale. Through all the versions of the Emory this current one may be the best.

Chris P.

Yelp
When in the area, come to The Emory! It can get crowded, but very good food! The cauliflower wings are awesome!!

Alec A.

Yelp
The food is consistently good with the new menu and a great value. The cocktails aren't life changing but they have good bar menu specials.

Samantha S.

Yelp
My husband and I went today to get brunch. We were sitting there for 15 minutes with no service. There were multiple people at the bar and roughly 4 tables seated. After the host seated us multiple members had gone by us with no one stopping at our table. My husband and I left and when leaving there were multiple members standing and chatting by the back of the house. The "almost bottomless mimosas" is just a bottle of Prosecco. Couldn't tell you the brand because no one ever took our drink order. The host was super nice from our short interaction and even wiped down a table when the guests next to us asked but the guest just didn't realize that all the tables were very sticky on their own. Very disappointed and will not be going back.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Came with 12 friends, sat at the front window. We had rounds of beer, Bloody Mary bar (not bottomless) and mimosas. We had some grilled cheese and chicken tenders for the kiddo in our group. Nachos, salmon cakes, huevos rancheros, pierogis all around too. Food was slow, but to be expected with so many folks at our table. The nachos were recommended, but were just so-so. The nachos are crunchy, but sparse on topping, mostly in the middle. The huevos rancheros were decent, liking the roasted green salsa. The potato cake was super dry and bland and hard, not worth the extra $1.

Laura B.

Yelp
Food was good. Other than that, a horrid experience. The "service" if you could even call it that, was awful. There was no server, you seat yourself, order yourself on a QR code, GET WATER yourself. With all of this completely unprompted. It felt like a mystery we had to put together just to figure out how to get food and water. It was ridiculous honestly. When I asked the bartender where we could get water, she looked at me like I was stupid and told me "it's right there" and pointed to the water pitcher. This is not a restaurant, it was, at best, mediocre fast food. I'd rather go to McDonalds, at least they'll give me water. Save yourself the hassle, and go to the WAB nextdoor.

Suzie A.

Yelp
Took my parents for lunch on Sat Oct 21 at 11:30am. We sat down and were waited on promptly by a lovely waitress. Food came out within a reasonable period of time. We ate and talked and at 12:25 (less than an hour since sitting down) our waitress cashed us out and said that they were hosting a private party starting at 1pm so they would need us to leave just before that. Exactly 7 minutes later a very rude employee came to our table and in the most disrespectful manner said " we need you to leave now" we are hosting a party need to start seating the guests. I said "wow, sorry we thought we had a few minutes as it starts at 1pm". She responded with "well we need you to leave right now". Needless to say, I will never ever return and would not recommend to anyone else. Such a shame to have this experience with so many businesses struggling! Suzanne

Alan E.

Yelp
Good food, mostly slider burgers but those are good the rest sized for me. More importantly they're mighty tasty.

TJ F.

Yelp
I've loved this place for years but lately the quality of the food has been slipping I hate to say. It used to be top notch bar food, handmade, little extras, always great service. The last few times I've been there I have been disappointed. The food is still okay but not the extraordinary fare I remember. I'll give it another go and see if it was just a fluke. There's a lot going on that people can't control.

Armanii C.

Yelp
I loved the drinks...... Was beyond happy with my 5 drinks ...... The bartender could have been attentive to other customers but she was more into just one which was fine. I was her visiting a friend here from Vegas so it was more about spending time with them. But once I went to the bathroom I was amazed this was the first time seeing tampons in the bathroom for the ladies. EVER !!!!!!!! Coming from Vegas and seeing that was Big cause all of us ladies have had that day where it comes unknowingly and not having a backup but still wanting to be out with friends . So coming here and seeing that they cared for us women was an awesome feeling but hated it wasn't one of those days for me cause I always just end up going home lol ...... Thank you for showing care for our needs.

Robert F.

Yelp
I called in an order on 06/17/2022 - we have a dairy allergy and the restaurant seemed very accommodating. However, the order that they sent out was not up to par. We ordered cauliflower with the sauce on the side - the cauliflower came drenched in sauce and they sent a different side dressing. We discussed a burger and wither or not the bun was buttered - we were assured that there would be no butter on the bun, there wasn't because the burger was sent without any bun. When we called back we were told that the food would be credited to the account, however two weeks later we have not been credited. I will not be coming back and with so many options in Ferndale and RO if you are looking for somewhere new, maybe look elsewhere.

Christopher B.

Yelp
Tired establishment with overpriced drink, attitudinal staff and mediocre food. Seriously mediocre ... I don't know what they do to it but it just lacks flavor.

Michael C.

Yelp
They served me raw chicken tenders. Chicken tenders, the easiest thing in the world. They served them to me RAW. My wife is 36 weeks pregnant. Unforgivable. I am contacting the health department.

Matt V.

Yelp
Disappointed overall at how this place has changed. The sliders are actually pretty good, but my French fries were literally dripping with grease. Also, what happened to the beer selection??? It is pretty terrible these days. Zero interesting options and plus the canned IPAs they have are over 8 months old (per date on can). Used to be a cool place.

Chris M.

Yelp
This place is not good and needs a manager. The service here is awful and although our server was. new, it seemed like a shared experience by all customers. I think the bloody mary i ordered may be the worst i've ever been served. It took nearly 20 min to receive, contained a vodka soaked pickle. Terrible. The burger was ok at best. Fish and chips seemed good. I will not return and understand the three star rating. On a positive note, the music here is great.

Victoria W.

Yelp
Our food was DELICIOUS!!! Very well made with excellent flavor. The staff was friendly and willing to offer suggestions for the best kept dishes. Had the Salmon Polenta and the Emory burger add avocado

Jeremy N.

Yelp
Great for drinks, "eh" for food as of late. This would be a top spot to hit when a group of us would be out and about in Ferndale. It would be to either continue drinking or to get something to eat before a night of bar hoping. The drinks are great (large selection of beer and liquor) but the food has been declining over the years. Most of their menu is vegan or vegetarian now, which is not what it used to be and is curved toward a specific audience of foodies now. It's a shame because some of the burgers and sandwiches they used to make were very good.

Zoë B.

Yelp
Really not great. We ended up here after trying several other Ferndale restaurants that were closed for a staff break. Service was lackluster, but not terrible. The burger patty was good, but the toppings were nearly inedible. Fried onions that seemed to have been fried hours before were cold, chewy, soggy. Truly ruined it and they weren't even listed on the menu

Justin P.

Yelp
You order EVERYTHING from a QR code menu and they bring it to your table. Having to check out each time you order a drink is a little annoying. You have to get water and condiments on your own from a bar. At then end of your meal you have to buss your own table essentially. I wouldn't return to this business.

Andrea R.

Yelp
Where to start? When we walked in we were not greeted and we were confused if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. No signs or anything to direct you. I thought weird ok, so we sat down. Waited for about 15 minutes, still no waiter in sight and my partner had to get up and ask to be helped. We were then directed to the QR code on a napkin holder that was for us to place our order online and pay before we even get the food. Still no waiter and they expect a tip (before the meal! What on Earth???) when no one has said a word or given ANY service unprompted. Not even a water for the table. For context, we were the only ones dining but there were some people at the bar. What if you don't have a phone to order on? What if you don't want to order through your phone? Additionally, as we were waiting we saw a waiter walk in with a literal Gucci bag on. How does a waiter that doesn't do anything but bring food to you make such good money to buy a Gucci Fanny pack? When you make tips before any service is provided, what exactly is your job? Where's the incentive to actually do anything? In this heavily gentrified city, it's no surprise the entitlement of some establishments. I'm frustrated and annoyed at the lack of care for any customer and the apathy felt when dealing with one. If I could give zero star I would. So if you're looking for the worst service in the state, stop by! They'd be happy to help (get your money and kick you out). EDIT: THEY DONT EVEN BRING YOU THE FOOD I HAD TO GRAB MY DOGGYBAG OF FOOD MYSELF!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE!!!!!?

Zack M.

Yelp
When my husband told me we would be meeting friends here for brunch I was excited! I've heard great things about them but I was unfortunately let down. When we went to brunch we were sat right away and our server (she was amazing) greeted us almost immediately. The brunch menu was very small with not much variety however we all found something. After placing our order it took over an hour for us to get our food and it wasn't worth the wait. I had the veggie hash and it lacked flavor. Thankfully there were condiments on the table to help add some seasoning to it. Our one friend that ordered a waffle seemed to be the only one to enjoy her meal. On a completely different note the restaurant looks amazing! I love all the natural wood contrasted with the black accents!

Sandy L.

Yelp
Came here with a large group of maybe 16ish for a Bachorlette party on Saturday evening. Ordered the 6 oz filet with asparagus and mash potatoes. Also had to try the truffle fries. All delicious! Will be back for those truffle friess!!! With such a large group the restaurant accommodated us accordingly and was nice enough to give my Bride-to-be a complementary shot!

Madelyne W.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. Worst, slowest service. Came for a birthday dinner, which we made a reservation for, so they knew we were coming. Our server greeted us saying they were short on glasses and it would be a minute before they could get us water. A minute? Understandable. 20+ minutes? Not so much. We had all come from outside and it was a hot day, so we were parched. After asking for water from multiple people, I finally told the server we'd take it however they wanted to serve it to us: takeout cups, the mason jars used to decorate the table, whatever. She said she'd get it in a minute (that infamous minute) and talked down to me like I was being impatient. Once we managed to get our orders in, bar drinks arrived at a slow pace (my cousins wine took over a half hour) and appetizers came w no plates or silverware. We were told silverware was being rolled for us, but it took so long we ended up just eating without them. Entrees took the longest out of everything; after getting there at 6:30 and ordering around 6:45, our food came well after 8. Some of my family members had to ask for it to go because they had to get home to their kids. The waitress seemed either naively oblivious or purposefully ignorant to how ridiculous the situation was. She offered nothing but a "your food's coming soon, we've been busy" after 45 minutes of waiting. They were never at more than half capacity during the duration of our visit. Once the food finally came, it ranged from meh to decent; nothing worth waiting 1.5+ hours for. I can't think of something more basic to expect from a restaurant than water, silverware, and plates. However, if you happen to be of the human variety and need those things to have dinner - or if you have any plans for the entire rest of the day you're visiting this place - I'd recommend running the other direction.

Stacia G.

Yelp
Came here for a brief brunch prior to hitting the pool on a weekend. Patio is an excellent spot. Tasty cocktails and filling dishes (friend had croque, I had breakfast nachos). Friendly service. I've been here before and had the tumeric fries- very tasty!

Charles W.

Yelp
Star service - crap food So let me start by saying Arianna and the service here in general is stellar. Great drinks, and I assume the lunch menu is banging. However, my "corned beef hash" consisted of a small pile of semi cooked, crunchy potatoes with brown spots and a sprinkling of crispy corned beef on top. The pierogis were burned outside, cold in the middle. I don't know what kind of junkie they have in the kitchen, but time to make a change.

Amy K.

Yelp
I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews. I got the chicken and waffles from the brunch menu and they didn't look that great - but the flavor was amazing. My son is fairly picky about hamburgers and he loved his burger. I would definitely return.

Derek F.

Yelp
Gotta go 3 stars if I could I would go 3 1/2 but I wasn't impressed at all with the Emory burger, It comes with bacon, onion straws, american cheese, and a fried egg, with a chipotle sauce and pickles on the side and served with a side of shoestring fries. My burger came with almost no onion straws and very little chipotle sauce (asked for more sauce and was charged 75c) no biggie, but the burger turned in to a grease mess, and the bacon and chipotle combine and make it very salty tasteing, and my egg was fried hard. I wish it would of had some lettuce, tomato and onion, I just wasn't a fan. The place looks cool has plenty of seating and good service, just for me the burger was a miss so I had to go 3 stars. But I'll be back to try other things and I'm sure the Emroy can work it's way up to 4 stars.

Lydia G.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere. The honey sriracha cauliflower wrap was delicious. I got the truffle fries with aioli, also delectable. The Area 51 fries are tasty and fun! Will definitely be back.

Celeste H.

Yelp
We tried several of the sliders (WAB, Buffalo chicken and the Emory) because this was one of the few dog friendly places open on a Monday, and the food and service/ambiance was all pretty disappointing. No real flavor, everything tasted stale/reheated (buns, chicken, fried onions, etc.). Service wasn't very good either. Outdoor patio was fairly dirty. Waiter never checked on us before/after food, even though the restaurant was completely empty. The only thing that was good, was the adult lemonade drink. Won't be back unfortunately.

Samantha R.

Yelp
The manager with blond hair was rude. We came for the drag show and it was great. The manager only came over to seat us when we sat in the wrong place that was VIP. She was not nice. The waitress with short curly hair was sweet. I will not be coming back and will tell my friends as well. I would like to speak to the owner. We had nobody come to seat us and the waiters and waitress that seat people ignored us and helped others that were not minorities. Ferndale is supposed to be inclusive. I have never experienced this at any other place. I will NEVER come back. Nasty, rude manager that is probably racist. Horrible!!

Yelp
The food was very good but the portions are my complaint. I went there for brunch today and got one of the specials, the breakfast pierogi. It came with a small side salad and a huge cup of salsa. The salsa cup was as big as 2 of the pierogi. Absolutely delicious but I left still hungry! Between that, my boozy coffee and gratuity my bill was almost $25 for one person. If I'm spending that much on myself I'd like to leave with leftovers or at least full.
