18 Places to Eat and Drink in Old Town Fort Collins

"At the swanky Elizabeth Hotel, the Emporium is an all-day cafe, bar, and restaurant featuring grab-and-go items as well as filling dinner plates. For now, it’s the unofficial town living room and a good place to meet or start the evening." - Josie Sexton

Last Friday night, my husband and I had dinner at the Emporium for the first time. We had reservations and arrived on time, watching the hostess turn away a family of four who didn’t. We were seated at a small table for two and waited quite a while before anyone greeted us—longer still for the drinks we ordered. Oddly, our appetizer of Brussels sprouts arrived before the drinks did. The dish itself was delicious, but we noticed the table across from us had the same item, and their portion was noticeably smaller. A sign of kitchen inconsistency, perhaps. For my entrée, I ordered the pea risotto. It was bland and underwhelming—especially for $28. The portion was so small I was hungry after I ate it all - to order a protein was a $14 upcharge.. My husband had the shrimp and grits, which featured large shrimp and a flavorful sauce, but the carrots were undercooked. Again, the kitchen’s inconsistency was evident: the man at the table across from us had the same dish, but his serving wasn’t swimming in sauce like my husband’s. Dessert was the entremet—a dense overly sweet dark chocolate with toffee ice cream. It lacked nuance and felt like a one-note sugar bomb. But what stood out most—more than the uneven food—was the service. The couple at the table across from us had the same waitress, yet their experience was markedly different. Their glasses were refilled promptly, empty plates cleared without delay, and even their wobbly table was adjusted by the manager. Meanwhile, our plates sat untouched until we stacked them ourselves to make room. When we were ready to leave, our waitress disappeared for so long we considered tabbing out at the bar to avoid being late for our next reservation. We couldn’t help but notice the stark contrast in treatment. Why they received VIP service and we didn’t remains unclear, but it left a sour taste. Add to that the deafening noise level—we had to raise our voices just to hear each other—and the evening felt more exhausting than enjoyable. In short: overpriced, small portions, loud, and discriminating service based on who knows what. Not an experience we will choose to repeat.

Bit of a disappointing experience for the price. My family got the Christmas dinner buffet as they were visiting and this was one of the few places we could go. Lot of the food was not refilled quickly, often resulting in multiple trips to get something if you really wanted it. Also they had this annoying policy of you having to wait for your server to bring you a new plate to go back up and let's say on multiple occasions it had us waiting for plates or drinks due to slow service. Also didn't really make any sense as most buffets will just stack the plates by the food, and it made us feel like they were trying to limit what we could get. Created a weird dynamic where you'd take stuff just cause it was available even if you maybe wanted to enjoy your steak with your mashed potatoes. Food was also just OK. Like some of the best things were stuff that didn't need to be cooked special. Mac and cheese, cheese/meat platter appetizers, bakery items. The main courses were pretty bland or just lightly seasoned.

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet today 2025. The food was cold. The food had good flavor but it was not hot, not even warm. The only thing that was very warm was the Cranbery-Orange bread pudding. It was under its own heat lamp. I told a server the food was cold and he said he would check but he never got back with us. The prime rib was not tender. He couldn't cut it with the butter knife on the table. An automatic 20% gratuity was added to the check. Plus 3% to the kitchen staff. I prefer to tip my servers according to the service they provide not just have a fee added on automatically. So overall I'm very disappointed in this first time restaurant experience on Thanksgiving Day AND in THIS restaurant! We were very much looking forward to this holiday celebration and eating a delicious meal. I never thought a Thanksgiving buffet would be cold from an upscale restaurant. The chefs wasted a lot of time preparing great tasting food for it to be served cold. They all got the tip so how will they know they didn't deserve it! I don't recommend The Emporium in Fort Collins, Colorado.

My husband and I arrived around 9PM so it wasn’t very busy. We sat at the bar. We were ignored by the bartender the entire time. We had to wave him down to order our drinks, to order food, ti get another round of drinks, to get the check. He never checked on us the entire time we were there. So disappointing because the food was outstanding. My husband had bison tartare and I had calamari and we shared the fig and prosciutto salad. Of course we tipped but only $5 because of the terrible service. What is wrong with people these days? When you work in the service industry, there is a standard especially at a high end restaurant like this. Makes us never want to come back again. When we asked for the check, he asked if we wanted to charge it to our room and my husband said no we live in Fort Collins. Does this mean that he just gave us terrible treatment because he assumes we are passing through? Not OK.

Phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal!!! First off the food here is the best food that I’ve had in all of Colorado! We stayed at the Elizabeth Hotel, And usually frequent all the Marriott locations, including the Ritz, Carlton and Clio. However, the food at the Emporium is not comparable to anywhere else! The service is great! There is no hesitance or resistance from any of the servers, including Kayla, Adrienne, And Lauren! The managers are all nice and accommodating. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast and or dinner. The prices are great as well as the quantity of food served! We will be back! Thank you everyone so much

Our first visit here and we were impressed. We had a reservation and were seated on time. Our food order went in about 7:30. We had a bread board ordered and it arrived quickly...very good. Our food arrived by 8:00 and everything was delicious. I ordered a bowl of New England clam chowder and was given a generous size portion. There were people from Boston in our party. They each tasted the chowder and all said it was very good. Everyone loved their choices and we would certainly recommend the Emporium.

We had never gone to your establishment and decided to go on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 pm. There were only three other tables occupied so we thought that the service wouldn’t be very long. We were with our daughter that had just arrived from the East Coast. How disappointed we became when they took more than half an hour to take our order. When my coffee finally arrived it was cold so I had to call the young lady and request another coffee. The food took so long to arrive that I almost gave up. I only ordered a simple breakfast and my daughter and husband had ordered sandwiches. It took more than two and a half hours for a simple lunch. The young lady that took care of us was very polite and the food was good but the long wait is ridiculous. The restaurant was almost empty so I really don’t understand why the service is so slow.

Came in on a Tuesday with a reservation for 5. Our first round of drinks took 40 minutes to arrive. We ordered the duck duck mousse appetizer, it arrived with no mousse or candied pecans. We had to ask in our server to bring it out, and it came out quickly with apologies. Second round of drinks was incomplete, we were missing a martini and we had requested a bottle of wine with our entrees, which we had to remind our server to bring out once entrees had arrived. The staff member who brought the missing martini offered to comp it, however it was on the bill when the check arrived. The entrees were underwhelming. Honestly, our experience was so disappointing for what we were hoping for and for a $400+ bill. Some service recovery would have been appreciated, it felt like we were ushered out of the restaurant once our meal was concluded, everything was quite the let down.

Yelp
We have eaten twice at The Emporium now; last Thanksgiving (2025) and Christmas dinner (at noon). My wife and I used to go to The Broadmoor for Sunday Brunch, but they lost us last year after an abysmal meal. Adding insult to injury, no one seemed to care when I spoke to management about it. The review for The Emporium is much better because 1) It's IN FORT COLLINS, and 2) The manager, "Michael", is somone who cares. On both occasions there were a few things "off" about the meal. On Christmas day, the sea bass was dry. I felt bad for the poor sea bass that gave its life for a meal, only to have it prepared and served without a white sauce. This is a small complaint though, because everything else, from the silver chafing dishes to the spotless tablecloths and napkins, was top notch! On Thanksgiving Day, the place was PACKED. This time around, the collection of locals was rather sparse. I suspect this was because of the way the meal was priced the first time. On Thanksgiving, I felt positively gouged. There was a 20% service charge added for the servers, and a 3% service charge for the unseen "people in the back". Keep in mind that this was a buffet, which, if a mandatory tip is required, usually garners 10%, mainly because the servers' job is minimal. I certainly would NOT be expected to pay the busboy's salary! As you might imagine, an unexpected, mandatory tip of 23% left a bitter taste in this ex-waiter's/business owner's mouth, especially since the dinner was $75 each. I believe that if management cannot pay their "back people" decent wages, the perhaps the situation should be reevaluated. Nonetheless, we went back for Christmas dinner. The carving station at the end of the chafing dishes was nice . . . the ham was tender and moist, and the filet mignon (this time) was, as well. On Thanksgiving, the filets more closely resembled shoe leather. I worked at a country club for at one time, and they had many more chefs, I would imagine, than The Emporium had. Plenty of professionals paying attention to details makes sure that sort of thing doesn't happen. There was plenty of food, though. The potatoes with onions (or, was it the mac and cheese?) was disappointing, as there was no onion flavor to be found. They were "OK", though. I just didn't have seconds. The manager, "Michael", came to our table on both counts, after I mentioned to our server (who asked "How is everything?"). I regretted saying anything the second time, because the sea bass was such a small part of our meal. As I told Michael though, "If you are not aware of a problem, you cannot fix it". He totally agreed, and as a good manger will do, took it in stride. One other bright spot was "Hannah", who assisted me by taking a photo of our party in front of their bee-yoo-ti-ful Christmas tree. I will include the photo, just you can see the tree and winding staircase. Hopefully, they will have another brunch soon, maybe at Easter, so we can enjoy another delicious meal served at a local restaurant!

Yelp
Came here for Christmas Eve Dinner and it was a great experience from food to drinks and staff. For a busy holiday they were very well staffed and everyone was very friendly. The food all came out fast and hot. The calamari had so much flavor and was very lightly fried. The potatoes needed a little more sauce and salt but they were perfectly fried. My salad with the added grilled shrimp was delicious and my son loved his Bison Short Ribs . Definitely a great place for a nice meal while in Fort Collins.

Yelp
We had wonderful dinner Saturday at the Emporium in Old Town Fort Collins. The food is spectacular and service was just as we expected. We chose the mushroom, pickled onion & arugula appetizer, the green goddess salad & slow-cooked bison short rib with demiglaze and garlic mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We paired it with their French Pinot and ended it with coffee & buttermilk custard pie with a light bourbon caramel sauce. We plan to try the breakfast & lunch menus next. Highly recommend! Make a reservation & Bon Appétit. Deb & Chuck, Loveland CO

Yelp
Perfect Service, delicious food , from breakfast through dinner. The Ambience is unique, with perfect lighting and background music that makes you feel like you are in your own private world! Did I mention Great Service? The wine selection is also unique with the staff and Management helping you with every selection, French, Italian, or domestic! From Benedict to the Cheese Board, this is a must stop in downtown Fort Collins!

Yelp
Did you change the food director or something?? The Breakfast (eggs specifically) was bad, Thanksgiving dinner was horrible. Cold food , nasty meats and the desserts were the worst! Tasted like they ordered somewhere else for dirt cheap. For $500 bill, extremely disappointing. We stayed at this hotel last year and recall much better food quality.

Yelp
Excellent, friendly, speedy breakfast service and high quality food at The Emporium. It doesn't hurt that The Elizabeth gives Marriott elite customers a little food voucher too.

Yelp
We had a large group dinner while getting our CSU Ram settled back into the new year. This was our first time at the Emporium and I don't know if we'd come back, with so many other restaurants options around town. Service was extremely slow; took about 45 minutes to get our drinks out to us, and 90-ish minutes to get our meals. Highlight for me was the Green Goddess salad but maybe because I was so hungry by the time our food arrived. For this price point I'd expect higher level of service.

Yelp
We had a really nice weekend brunch here! We ordered the eggs Benedict, garden omelette, and shakshuka. The potatoes that came with the omelette and eggs Benedict were pretty overdone and tasted burnt, but the waitress was great about bringing out a new side of them. The new potatoes were very well seasoned and much better. The English muffins are homemade and were very good. They were soft and soaked up the hollandaise sauce well. The shakshuka was very good and well-seasoned. The eggs were poached perfectly too. The Benedict and omelette were pretty standard but enjoyable.

Yelp
Service was great! We stayed several days so we had breakfast 3 consecutive days. The biscuits a gravy were "Meh" but everything else we had was great. Try the clam chowder! The atmosphere was nice and the wine shop within the venue was nice.

Yelp
During our stay at The Elizabeth, we dined at their restaurant - The Emporium: An American Brasserie - twice (once for dinner & once for brunch). We were very impressed with the food quality and level of service on both visits. It was so nice to be able to stay onsite at the hotel, relax, unwind and have creative dishes & stellar hospitality at our fingertips when it came to dining. For dinner at The Emporium, we were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic of the restaurant was cozy (yet elevated) & inviting with wood tones & warm, ambient lighting. Our server, Emily, had stellar recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed while we dined. We started off our meal with cocktails. Ross had the Mr. Vida made with del maguey Vida mezcal, amaro nardini, mr. black coffee liqueur, fee brothers aztec bitters, regans' orange bitters. This cocktail was very coffee forward with a nice nose of citrus. I had the Harvest Moon made with epsolón blanco tequila, solerno blood orange liqueur, orange, lime, agave, & a black salt rim. For Small Plates we had the Bison Tartare, Moules Mariniere, & the Brussels Sprouts - all of these small plates were fabulous, and we'd order each one again. It was a strong start to the meal. The Bison Tartare was made with smoked red pepper coulis, roasted garlic aioli, shoestring shallot, shaved egg yolk, cilantro, sea salt & vinegar potato chips. The tartare was beautiful and gamey; the roasted garlic aioli gave great zing to the meat. The Moules Mariniere were made with pei mussels, chablis, sweet cream butter, shallot & garlic, herbs, & served with toast points. The mussels came in a lovely, savory broth - they had a soft texture which went well on the crisp buttered toast. The Brussels Sprouts were made with orange jalapeno infused honey, toasted pistachio, & sea salt. The hot honey was mouthwatering & made the brussels sprouts sticky & spicy. For Large Plates we had the Salmon En Croute and the Scallops Noir. The Salmon En Croute was made with verlasso salmon, gremolata, puff pastry, shaved fennel & citrus salad. We loved the unique presentation of the salmon; the buttery puff pastry enveloped the mild fish and really upgraded its flavor profile. The Scallops Noir were made with pan seared sea scallops, squid ink bucatini, cauliflower puree, & charred broccolini. The scallops were bouncy in texture and delicate in flavor. For dessert we had Baileys Cheesecake which was a special for the weekend. We headed back to The Emporium for brunch the next morning and we were seated at the bar. Mixologist Rolland took exceptional care of us - his wit & humor made our dining experience & he took charge creating off menu cocktails that were amazing. Manager Will also checked in & ensured our brunch went off without a hitch. Rolland called my first cocktail The Barbie. The Barbie was made with raspberry, mint, limeade, elderberry liquor, & sparkling grapefruit. This cocktail was effervescent with sweet, juicy raspberries rushing onto the palate; a refreshing way to say hello to spring. My second cocktail was made with cantaloupe, lime juice, warm spices, mint, & Tito's. The combo of sweet melon and mint were delicious. For food, we started off sweet with Beignets & a Pancake. The beignets were hot, doughy pillows coated generously in powdered sugar. They had a thin, crisp, golden exterior that gave way to chewy, sweet dough. Dipping these bad boys in the chocolate sauce made for sinfully delicious bites.  The Pancake was large and decorated in chocolate chips & blueberries. The chocolate chips dominated each bite in their thick, melty-ness while the citrus of the blueberries, and fluffy pancake, cut through the chocolate nicely.  For savory brunch dishes, we had the Hatch Green Chili Breakfast Burrito and the Biscuits & Gravy. The Burrito was made with chorizo, pepper trio, onion, potato, jack cheese, green chili, & cotija. The biscuits had a blanket of savory gravy & eggs-over-easy atop.

Yelp
So much potential but they have to figure out their service. We had brunch here during CSU parents weekend - not a great decision. It took just over an hour to get our food from when we we ordered. A couple of coffee drinks took almost 30 minutes to be delivered to the table. Everyone in my group did enjoy their food (they have some great options) but the service timing is terrible. We could tell that the wait staff were stressed too, trying to do the best they could with limited resources. I'm not sure if it's a shortage of cooks or wait staff or both but it's a mess. They shouldn't seat all of the tables if they cannot take care of them in a timely manner.

Melissa A.

Yelp
Drinks were great, dessert was great. Service took a very long time and it was not a full place at all. I ordered steak and it wasn't hot and the first bite had a distinct moldy taste. The other people I was with were happy with their meals.

Yelp
I had Christmas dinner here with a friend. The Emporium is located downtown at the corner of Walnut St and Chestnut St. You will need to park on the street. There are plenty of parking options nearby the restaurant and not too far away, within a very reasonable walking distance. As you enter The Emporium, it has an elegant feel to it and it's very spacious. While sitting at our table I didn't feel cramped nor feel as ifother patrons practically sitting at our table. They offered a three course meal for Christmas dinner. For starters they offered a Smoked Potato & Leek Soup or Roasted Acorn Squash & Field Green Salad. For the main entree they offered Black Pepper Crusted Prime Rib, Pesto Glazed Verasso Salmon, Rack of Lamb or Butternut & Mushroom Risotto. For dessert they offered Chocolate Peppermint Swiss Roll or Spiced Orange Buttermilk Pie. I ordered the Roasted Acorn Squash & Field Green Salad, Rack of Lamb, and Spiced Orange Buttermilk Pie. Salad was fantastic! Roasted Acorn Squash was done well. It was great on a dinner roll they serve you at the start of the meal. Rack of Lamb was really good. Meat was tender and not overdone. I chose the Spiced Orange Buttermilk pie for dessert. It wasn't too sweet and you could taste all the flavors. I loved the portion sizes here. They didn't overdo it. Too many restaurants provide too much for portion sizes. Ambiance is fantastic here. Service was exceptional as well. Our waitress was very pleasant. She has such a pleasant smile on her face and a very kind demeanor. I very much enjoyed being served by her. I believe her name is Amber. I walked out of here feeling satisfied but not stuffed. I was very impressed with my meal and experience here. I would love to return for a non-holiday meal. I recommend checking out The Emporium for a quay meal and experience. Also, look at the menu and review their prices before dining here to ensure that it fits your budget. Hope you have a pleasant experience!

Yelp
This restaurant is on the first floor of the Elizabeth Hotel. It's very cute and nicely lit. They have a pretty good wine selection and have bottles displayed in a way that separates the dinning from the bar. I was dinning alone so I sat at the bar. I thought the service was so so. It took a while for them to take my food order. In their defense there probably should have been another bartender/server. They were pretty busy making drinks for the dinning room. I ordered the seared salmon as my entree. It was well balanced the beet purée was not overwhelming and was well balanced with the cranberry mostrada. Some pieces of the crispy kale had stems which were not edible. Overall, this was a good dish. Service didn't have a chance to be great because it felt understaffed. But they were nice and in great spirits.

Yelp
We've eaten here many times when we visit Fort Collins. A couple times we've times we ventured out to explore, but the food is SO good and the portions are more than generous. We've never had a bad meal and just learned that the pastrami is made in house. The service is good and ambience comfortable yet chicly cool.

Yelp
It's always disappointing when you leave a restaurant and feel let down by the experience and the value of your meal. The Emporium managed to check both boxes. Went there during Great Plates week in Fort Collins. The meal started with 2 cold raviolis for an app. The main was a bouillabaisse of two barely-there clams, five paper thin mussels and a small portion of overcooked sablefish. I'd peg the food costs as maybe $7- $8. The charge was $35. When you leave a restaurant and feel you need to stop to pick up a slice of pizza to satiate yourself, you'd have to consider that a miss. If the restaurant embraces Great Plates, which is for a good cause- supporting a local Food Bank then don't make your patrons feel ripped off. The restaurant is in a nice space but all those fancy trappings don't live up to the main reason you go to a restaurant- enjoying great food with friends or family. No one feels very social when their experience is subpar. If you decide to do Great Plates next year, invest in making it a truly great meal and not one that feels more like a hustle.

Yelp
Service- TERRIBLE (other than the hostess,,who was very attentive). Once we were seated, we waited so long, we finally had to ask whether there was actually a server assigned to our table. Hostess quickly brought a glass of ice when requested but it had a piece of lettuce in it, and we had to wait (and wait..) for a clean one. We weren't quite ready to order our food when we ordered the coffee (which also took forever); I guess the server thought we needed A LOT of time because we didn't see her again for at least 10 minutes. Then we waited FOREVER for our food. The excuse was they were "slammed." Kind of hard to believe when the restaurant was half empty. FOOD- $24 for a BLAND Caesar salad literally no bigger than a dinner salad with a piece of salmon (4 or 6 oz?) with croutons that looked like they came out of a bag from the supermarket. Hot coffee was salty and lukewarm. The only bright spot in the meal was the smashed potatoes, which were very good. The server came by about 10 seconds after the food was delivered to ask how it was. (We hadn't tried it yet.) then vanished. When she brought the check, I saw two $5 charges for a small (maybe 8 oz?) cold brew that was 75% ice and what I thought was a refill. I asked my husband to take care of the bill so I could leave before I lost my cool. When he came out, he showed me the coffee they had given him for me at no charge- a half-full small to-go cup. Whoopee.......

Yelp
I like the ambiance, but it's just okay for me of the more upscale choices available locally. The food didn't *wow* me and prices are getting steep. If I'm going to pay that much for my dinner, I need to leave highly satisfied. Our server was pleasant. The restaurant had plenty of open tables when we arrived for our reservation, but they chose to seat us in a cramped spot between two other full tables. I ordered the gnocchi. It tasted pretty good, but was very rich and I stopped at half. There was something about it which I couldn't quite identify that gave off an unpleasant scent for me. It's a me problem; my husband really liked my leftovers and had no complaints. His pork tenderloin was well prepared and tasty. The side salads we ordered were decent but unremarkable. The lettuce used was of the thicker, wild variety that requires lots of chewing. I'm sure this fits the bill for some folks. I'll give them another try at some point. This might be a decide-for-yourself situation. :)

Yelp
My husband and I had Christmas Dinner there and everything was delicious, the atmosphere was really and we plan on eating there again soon.

Yelp
The service was amazing and so was the food. Our waiter was Robbie. He took care of us for about three hours. Even the general manager Carl Prospect, came over to congratulate our niece for her graduation from CSU. The whole evening was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant and The staff.?

Yelp
Just checked in to the hotel and went down for a quick drink, bartender was friendly and pleasant - I didn't catch her name. Went upstairs, called home and then came back down to sit at the bar and have dinner and another drink. Enter new bartender. I didn't catch his name. But he was on his third shift and from Louisiana - which I overheard while he divulged his life story to the bartender that was training him while he ignored me and distracted her from giving good service. He was so preoccupied with impressing her that he did not pay any attention to me and I kept having to interrupt them to get another drink or a side of ranch. Really frustrating and the epitome of late night staff without proper training or expectations from management. Probably my 20th time here. Food here is great but the service is always very poor. Need better management.

Yelp
Great food, nice atmosphere and right in the heart of Old Town. Definitely check this place out when deciding on where to go out to dinner!

Yelp
Looking for a bougie, yet relaxed dinner experience? Emporium might be the spot for you. I came here with family for dinner and we enjoyed a variety of entrees together, such as the fish and chips, trout huitlacoche, mussels, and bison tartare. The wait was approximately 35 minutes, but everything was worth the wait. Fried fish was crisp, light, fresh, and flaky. Trout and polenta were well seasoned and tender, unique, and aromatic. Mussels were okay, as they came out slightly cold. Dessert was mediocre, but I enjoyed the crumble and grilled peaches; it could've been more cohesive as a whole. Espresso was under-extracted and bitter, unfortunately. Overall a positive experience, but probably would only come back for a simple lunch and drink.

Yelp
Made the 45 minute drive from Cheyenne, Wyoming to meet up with family for brunch. I have driven by this place so many times, but never went inside. What an adorable vibe! I was seriously overwhelmed by the menu because everything looked so good. I asked our server for her recommendation, and two of the three she mentioned were dishes I was considering. I ended up going with the French toast croque and I was not disappointed! My plate of food was massive and the prices were incredibly reasonable. What's more, I came home with leftovers. I'm not kidding when I say that I think that one meal will feed me 3 to 4 times. The other people in my group ordered shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, and French toast. Everyone raved about their meal. They have tons of French cocktails. I didn't partake since I was driving, but the list was very tempting. One member of our group started with a yogurt parfait, and we shared the cinnamon bites as a table. I don't recall what they were called on the menu, but they were delicious and totally worth it. They were served with cream cheese that was lightly flavored with orange. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Super chill vibe. Very interesting space with art deco decor. Yummy food and drinks! Great date place!

Yelp
Enjoyed an early dinner with fam on a Sunday afternoon. The Emporium is a pretty cool place. Most of the fam ordered the Bison Stroganoff. Keep in mind this entree is a bit different than traditional stroganoff served with egg noodles. This dish featured a potato mash instead. Overall, it was quite tasty--the bison being very tender. The waitstaff was very personable but I have to say service was quite slow. There was a long gap of time we waited to have our main entree order taken after polishing off our appetizers. Lesson learned. I highly recommend placing your order for appetizers, entree and dessert all at once.

Yelp
The food was pretty marginal. My duck ravioli was cold in the center. The shrimp and grits had a Cajun style sauce that was pretty non descript. My daughter had the buffalo which was tough.

Yelp
Our small nonprofit met here on 11/28/2023 at 2:00 p.m. The space is modern, clean & bright, but the food menu is very limited. (I didn't look at the drinks menu.) I ordered clam chowder, which was mediocre - only slightly better than canned. The waiter was excellent, however; very attentive and friendly. (I think his name was Brynn, but am not sure.) Our waiter brought a happy hour menu to our table when we were just wrapping up our meeting, and this menu looked much better than the previous one we were given. Since I was so impressed with the service, I will most likely return to this restaurant during happy hour or later so I can choose from a better menu & give the food another try.

Yelp
Should be NO stars! I live in CO half of the year and the other half in Geneva, Switzerland (French Side) If this restaurant is considered a brassiere then people in Fort Collins are being fooled. Really?? People book your tickets to Paris and eat in a real brassiere! We booked our NYE dinner for 8:30 and emphasized a standard table. Once again (maybe because I booked under my maiden name "Hermoso" and perhaps they are racist), they say us in a high chair table next to the entrance and a a column. Worst table in the restaurant. Ten minutes later a waitress comes and said that she was just assigned to help us. We asked to be moved, she called her Manager and this condescending person said that she cannot move us "unless you want your dinner served in the lobby." REALLY?! What a racist place? I'm sorry I guess Fort Collins Colorado is light years away from NY restaurants. Don't go there!

Yelp
Very average.....better choices in vicinity I think. Coffee was good the biscuits and gravy were bland.

Yelp
So where do I begin... great atmosphere, fun location and love picking out my wine from the little wine shop...pretty good selection. But that's where the fun ends...this is our second time here, as was hoping it would improve - service is poor (fake and unattendive). Our server was so out of touch ...pretty young, so my have been a college student. I tipped, but really didn't want to give her anything. We started with steak tartare...so beyond bland it was hardly edible. We love steak tartare and have it often when it's available wherever we dine. So was very disappointed... Would not recommend. We both had the Green Goddess salad - way over spiced...nice use of dressing (not over dressed) - but the cinnamon (I think) over powered the salad. Neither of us could finish. I would pass I had the seared salmon - was not asked about temperature and I forgot to ask...and worst fears realized way over cooked... but that's not what made this a very bad decision...the parsnip purée or jelly is more like was awful. I noticed someone next to us had salmon as well and she had about a third of the purée. It really was not good and I barely touched. (Our sharp as a tack server asked if I wanted a box..I actually laughed out loud and said no) - very disappointed and would not recommend. My wife had the duck...she enjoyed the flavor - was cooked well with a great flavor profile. She didn't care for the greens (too much) but enjoyed the meal. She would recommend, but would ask them to cut back on the greens. We had dinner 2/18/23 - crowded...but I can't recommend this place - obviously people enjoy this pace..so good for them. But, food I can forgive, service i can't. The big insult is they add a 5 tip for the kitchen...they should have given me the $5

Yelp
So I've been staying at the hotel for a couple days, having stayed many times before. Usually i don't eat at hotel restaurants. However, the Emporium is the best food I've had in a hotel in years. The Sunrise Sammy is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. In addition, the cocktail list is superb. If you have a chance, have the bitter apricot. Totally delicious! Even room service is fast, hot, and spot on.

Yelp
Wow! The appearance of the food here is so perfect I felt like it was too good looking to eat. My frittata tasted extremely fresh and healthy, the potatoes were super crispy and flavorful, and the toast was real fluffy and yummy. I'm running out of descriptive adjectives, so I'll just say that this is definitely a good place to stop by!

Yelp
"Kitchen appreciation fee"=we lied to you about our prices. The Cesar salad was fantastic and the service was great. My entre (bison) was inedibly salty.

Yelp
It was alright nothing special for the price. Don't get the bread board the sauce was different.

Yelp
Meh. If only the food matched the ambiance, the service, and the menu descriptions. I had the wild mushroom cassoulet. Lots of beans, the occasional mushroom, and bland approaching tasteless. I had high hopes for this one, but it's a swing and a miss. A great place for a drink, but there are lots of other Fort Collins restaurants, with better food.

Yelp
Best place in town, food is great, service in some areas could improve but food makes up for it.

Yelp
Really good food. I had the Reuben and had excellent corned beef and sauerkraut but could have used more Swiss cheese. My wife had pulled pork sandwich which she raved about. We had a server that was fantastic and very helpful.

Yelp
Me and my wife came in from out of town and were greeted with the highest hospitality at The Emporium. Being a foodie from L.A. , I have to say complements to the chef and to the staff of this restaurant. I ate this restaurant on three different days and never did this restaurant disappoint. The Eggs Benedict were on point! Can't wait to come back and see you again!

Yelp
I wish I would have written this review sooner - mostly because the details have become fuzzy. But what I can tell you from our visit to Emporium, our first visit in celebration of my birthday, certainly won't be our last. We had excellent service, including a personalized "Happy birthday" menu and friendly waitstaff. Our food was phenomenal - we started with the meatballs (nice portion size and very tasty) and split a salad. For entrees we got the Orrichiette & Braised Lamb pasta - a big hit - and the Beef Wellington (Saturday Special and seriously so pleased that I got it!). As a note for next time, the table next to us got a salmon entree and it looked fab. Service was a slow but we weren't in a hurry. For dessert we got the Le Royale as suggested by our server and it did not disappoint. So stinking good! The decor inside is a unique blend of retro and modern. Vaulted ceilings keep it airy but dark woods make it feel intimate. We really enjoyed ourselves. Not a cheap meal by any means but a very good one - a worthwhile splurge for a night out or special occasion.

Yelp
(2.5 stars) We are staying in the hotel and decided to start the day here for brunch. There are two of us, and we ordered the quiche and the Colorado breakfast which we asked if we could swap the potatoes and toast for a pancake. The waitress told us, "sure"! And then she informed us "we could add fruit for 'a couple dollars more'". Awesome! Our fruit, quiche (a little dry), eggs and sausage came out promptly but it took us asking about the pancake for it to come out, which was about the same time that I was completely finished with my meal. When we asked for the check she let us know that they comped the pancake... but when we got the bill we see that we were charged for the full Colorado breakfast so I inquire and she says "oh that was an additional fee so we comped that". If this was the case, we should not have been told that we could switch items. On top of that, the fruit was not 'a couple dollars' but $8. We left feeling a little scammed. Communication is key in customer service & your waitstaff should be able to effectively detail the actual facts for patrons.

Yelp
One star is generous. We were there celebrating a special birthday and we were very disappointed. The restaurant was almost empty but it took an hour to be served our dinner. The food was mediocre, incredibly overpriced ($30 each) and the service was abysmal! Absolutely horrible service - despite being empty, our server was not attentive at all. The Elizabeth is a nice hotel, but this restaurant was awful.

Yelp
I just had the MOST horrifying experience. I just ordered the mussels and upon delivery they smelled like a rancid dumpster in the south. One bite of the mussels confirmed they were rancid. They rush got me another dish and comped my 2 meals but honestly, just not enough. I can't even wrap my head around the fact that the kitchen/chef couldn't smell the rancid seafood and that it would even be delivered to the table. No level of trying to make up for this fixes this situation. Honestly NEVER AGAIN.

Yelp
We've been here once before and it was great. This round did not fare so well. It wasn't busy, the food took longer than normal at that time of day. The burger (med) was well done and burnt. The bun which would have been great if it wasn't stuck under a heat lamp, it was very tough to eat, I didn't eat even 1/2 of it. The biscuits and gravy were so plain, they didn't taste like anything except undercooked rue. The Reuben was the only highlight, it was the only dish finished at the table. Meh, probably won't go back, unless someone is dying to go to see the hotel.

Yelp
Here's another spot we almost passed up while in town. After looking online a bit we decided to give the brunch a try on the 4th of July. The place is pretty darn classy and I appreciate the ability to make a reservation on Open Table. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The cappuccino was not the best I've had, tasted a bit burnt but good enough I had a second. The side pancake was huge yet tasty and even better I added chocolate chips to it. I'm glad they have the option to add a side pancake instead of the whole order. I appreciate the gluten free options being plentiful for my wife. My green chili omelet was super tasty, wish I had more of that hot sauce they gave. The potatoes were a little bland but the very sweet ketchup helped with that. Its also nice to have some greens with brunch as its so hard to get vegetables at a lot of places. Got to eat your veggies! I would definitely recommend coming in for brunch and I'm hoping to try dinner some day.

Yelp
This place was a treat! The atmosphere is similar to that of an upscale diner with a good selection of wines (that aren't on the menu). Because the entire menu sounded fantastic, we ordered a lot and ate family style. The offer from duck pâté, steak tartare, bread and cheese boards and more! Bon Appétit

Yelp
Went for an anniversary, and had a wonderful time. We were seated immediately, and overall service was fast and polite. Food was killer, great selection and diverse yet concise menu, really enjoyed both entrees. Light and bright environment, not too expensive, great for any occasion.
