The Espee

We hosted a holiday party and toy drive here and had a very successful event. This venue is beautiful and can accommodate a huge variety of layouts and sizes. The indoor stage, lighting, sound system, seating, and bar all worked out perfectly. I would highly recommend this venue for any occasion, indoors or out.

This is a great outdoor location. Especially for large parties and big group groups. There’s a nice farmhouse in the back with air conditioning, a music stage for performances,and plenty of activities from cornhole to armadillo races. Give it a try. I think you’ll really enjoy it. If you’ve got a large company and you want some entertainment this is your place. And don’t forget about the farmers market on the street corner. We were there Friday night younger crowd lots of booths.

The annual Keller Williams Realty MAPS Coaching Mastery Experience could have been anywhere, but The Espee was the choice, and it was a good one. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly. The live music was a bonus. Great location. Great atmosphere. I was a little worried about the outdoor space in August, but it was fine! Thank you all. I would recommend.

Fabulous venue.. cozy but perfect place to experience your favorite jam. The staff was exceptional. They were warm and friendly to absolutely everyone from the security, merch, bathroom attendants, and bar tenders. It was exceptional manage reposition was so smooth. The bathrooms and the whole place was so clean. The acoustics were great. It is one of those places where no matter where you are you feel like you have the best place. The concert goers picked up on the friendly vibes and greeted other folks warmly as well.

Great place for smaller outdoor concerts! Prices were pretty high though.

Wow - what a fantastic, fun, and beautiful venue. We had a Keller Williams conference at the convention center then walked over, and I loved the location of this place. It was such a great venue, it had great food and drink, and made such a wonderful time. Definitely a place worth checking out in San Antonio!

Great venue, Tons of high powered fans, and well situated to avoid the sun. Even in ridiculously hot temps, it didn't feel like it here. Sit close, or go with the general admission... Easy to Uber in and out of from the Riverwalk.

Disappointed I love Sunset Station. One of my favorite music venues... I saw sooo many great show there 10-20 years ago. Well, the Espee lost me when I saw ticket prices for The Eagle Jingle Ball. Three tier ticket prices plus VIP. What happened to GA?!!! ... Boo!!! The Espee is not on my favorite list due to ticket pricing. Also doesn't have the same soul as it did 20 years ago. Something is missing.

Went to a concert here for the first time on a Friday evening, and it was great! The entrance/check-in process was easy and fast, the employees were very efficient! The drinks lines were very long, but the drinks were great! There was also a line for pizza, which was really tasty! Lots of space in the lawn to sit down if the seat inside the performance area is full.

The Espee is a fantastic venue to see a concert. Located in St Paul Square it is a convenient place to see a show with plenty of places to eat and drink all within walking distance. Hubby and I saw Gov't Mule on 2-24-24. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. I loved being able to walk around and no matter where you were you had a great view of the band. The sound was excellent and being able to get right up to the stage was awesome. A wonderful night and venue!

Went here for a concert, Stryper and Vixen. Outdoor venue. Sound was great, but being there in August, was a bit rough. Plenty of space to move around. Not much seating, but they had two bars open. One indoor and one outdoor. The sound was great. Not too loud, but loud. I think this is a great place to see live music. The parking is plenty, but you have to find it and walk a bit. I don't like the beer/ drink prices. I paid $18 for a 24oz beer. On tap. Too much. Didn't ask how much mixed drinks were. I was not happy about paying that much. Bathrooms are air conditioned. That's a plus. Has security there.

The Espee is a unique concept that focuses on historical preservation and neighborhood revitalization! The courtyard is located in front of the stage and has a beautiful fountain. There is limited seating but it is a nice area to walk around with a drink and check out the merch tables. There are is a few spots near the pavilion that have a narrow bar top to set your drinks on. The pavilion seats had a good view but I actually liked being farther away from the crowd. I would definitely like to try the VIP lounge and seating area next time. The bathrooms were clean and parking was fairly easy. I haven't seen too many shows I would like to see so hopefully their lineup choices improve. The sound quality could definitely be improved! The neighborhood is being revived but so there are still some closed storefronts and I recommend exploring during the day before a show so you can get familiar with the area. Overall an amazing venue that has so much potential!

I'm glad to see this place return to the scene as a concert venue. I saw Ryan Adams & the Cardinals in June 2023. Prior to that, it had been close to 15 years since I last saw a show here. Parking and entry are easy. There's several bars stationed across venue but be sure to get your 21+ wrist band before getting in bar line. I sat under the pavilion and I'm glad for this show. The rear (artificial) grassy area has a good view and prices are cheaper. I can see this being an option for me depending on who's playing. The lights and sound were great, although I'm not sure how much of that is the venue or the artist's doing. Overall, a fun spot to see a show. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of airflow under pavilion. It sits between two other buildings and there aren't any fans helping move the air, so it gets extremely hot down there; out in the grassy area was much more pleasant.

This is a classy outdoor event center. Super nice, clean place. Indoor bars are convenient and cool on a hot day. The restrooms were a surprise, they are upscale and clean. I will definitely go again.

We visited The Espee for The Margarita Pour Off. the venue is large yet intimate especially as you get closer to the main stage. There were several spots to view the stage from but honestly even if you are far from the stage you can still view the musicians. The sound is good here is well and doesn't echo like other venues. I'm definitely checking out the calendar for upcoming shows.

We booked tickets for a concert. While in line, it began to rain. two and a half hours later, the waiting crowd was told there would not be a concert, check socials for the updates. i do not have socials. I was never notified in email or text or phone call that the concert was rescheduled for the following day. I missed the rescheduled concert because i did not know about it. The refund policy on the website is all based on the Notification, but one never came. According to the woman answering phones, management is off the hook. This place sucks.

Attended the YELP ELITE GIVEAWAY: Margarita Pour Off and had a great time. The VIP section was no longer made available to us, but we enjoyed nonetheless! Loved hearing all the bands. This is a great venue to hear live music!

I attended Cocktail by SA Current at the Espee and I was so impressed with the space as well as the event. I really love how the indoor and outdoor areas are so spacious that an event can flow and never seem too crowded. There were so many food and drink stations at the event with amazing food and entertainment and it was so nice because there were never lines to wait in. The bars inside are lovely and the venue and bathrooms are clean and aesthetically appealing. This was a wonderful venue for a wonderful event.

Went here for the 2024 margarita poor off you have great views of the stage. It's a very close and personal event center sound system was nice. Margaritas were good. Have to say it was a pretty good night.

Attended the margarita pour off and concert series with lit and fuel...great time. Almost can't temper it because of the tequila but, the venue and the atmosphere was electric.

First time visiting this concert venue and it was a blast. We saw the Josh Abbott Band, and had a great time because there were several bar areas set up to get drinks. The location was very well-kept. All of the staff was very friendly. If you have a chance to watch a concert here definitely come.

Formally Sunset Station (#1), The Espee is part of the downtown revitalization that is slowly becoming one of the coolest parts of the city. Nestled next to St. Paul Square and a historically significant site (#2), it has morphed into one of the most interesting and multi-faceted venues in all of San Antonio. I recently attended an event here and was blown away at all the resources on the property. From their pavilion to their open space plaza, this is a dream spot for just about any special occasion. Whether it's a wedding, a private social gathering, or a massive concert, I am convinced this is one of the places to do it. Compared to its previous iteration, they've done an outstanding job at updating the place and it's an impressive operation all around. Got to experience the espee by an iHeart radio event. This place is very spacious inside and out. I was very amazed by the restrooms because usually event venues they are basic stalls and sinks. Downside were the Drinks , they were 18$ for a small cup. Parking situation they have vip parking or you can park on the sides with parking meters.

The Esperanza is a great concert, wedding, event venue. we attended a concert during the Fiesta which is the busiest week in San Antonio. The Esperanza was hosting a wedding event and a rock concert on the same night. The staff did a great job of keeping each event separated and we never knew that multiple events were happening until we saw groups walking to the parking lot late that night. Security around the event is excellent and I felt safe. The concert pavilion and area around it is well kept up and very clean. The concert staff is first class all the way. They set up multiple bands with very little down time. I will go again.

This place has unfriendly staff, we were not allowed entry because my wife had a purse. We offered to empty out the purse, but they said their POLICY was to only allow clear purses. We had paid for the VIP package there certainly was none. There was no reasoning with them and I would not go back to the Espee if every other venue was closed. We went to the Aztec which was much nicer!!!!

One of the worst venues i've ever been to. I went to see my favorite band of all time here and it was the worst concert experience of life. The look of the venue is nice and displays the culture of the city, but the layout is absolutely awful. This band is huge and had a sold out show at the Espee, but the layout and security/staff limited the crowd immensely. Only those who paid extra were allowed underneath the pavilion, even though there was so much more space available to fit other people in the very large crowd. Everyone else had to stand behind and to the side of the pavilion, and because this area is located ABOVE the height of the stage, no one could see anything! I couldn't even see the banner of any of the bands. The whole point of buying concert tickets is to be able to SEE the band perform !

I was not pleased with all the security people. These two i won't even say women bc they were acting real childish during the PTV show were so unprofessional. They were standing in everyone's way. Talking and giggling while we were trying to enjoy the show. They were posing like if we were taking pictures or videos of them. At one point i had to ask them to move out of the way bc they were right in front of me blocking my view of the stage along with some other tall lady but it was bc they were standing there joking around rather than doing their job. So i politely asked them to move. The one on the right at one point was bending over for idk what reason. I understand them standing there to do their job but they could've been on the steps and not be in everyone's way. As you can see in the picture they are in mine and some other peoples view and did not care at all. Majority of my videos I'm having to pick my phone up higher so they weren't in the frame. Let's hope they do better next event they work.

Nice concert venue with great coffee shop across the street.... Loved seeing Switchfoot last weekend!

First, I just point out that there is no handicap area or seating. I also point out that the parking are very far away so if you need handicap parking, plan on having someone help you with your wheelchair. This is just the worst experience I've had in a really long time. I told the box office person BEFORE I bought my ticket from ahead of time that I may not be able to attend. She said that they offered a refund package. She did not tell me about or read me the terms and conditions of the refund package and she did not tell me it was through a separate company. She just said that if I needed a refund, it would be no problem. I could just call them. so about three weeks ago, I called them and told them I needed a refund and they told me to go through the third-party that sells the refund package. I started the process accordingly. After going back-and-forth for the last 2 1/2, three weeks and The Espee or secrerefunds.com not being willing to let me speak to a supervisor or help them me, will not issue the refund, does not feel that they are liable for not reading the terms and conditions or honoring the I was told I would receive if I couldn't attend the concert. I've also proven to thesecure refunds.com company that I am in Louisiana and cannot travel to San Antonio for that concert due to specialist appointments that got scheduled. I'm absolutely by the way I've been treated and the fact that in this day and age, there is no accommodations for people to actually visibly see the than having someone push a wheelchair in there and know that people will be standing in front of them the entire time. just the past reviews that I've read from other people in wheelchairs, and I'm sickened by the fact that I don't have an income, but now I can't get a refund and because they are not sold out, they don't need to refund my ticket because they probably can't sell it either. Shame on

Loved it, great open area, relaxed atmosphere. First time seeing Black Violin, was amazing!

Great for company party. Stage for music. Lots of places to sit outside and inside when it's so humid out. Staff vey nice.

Saw Sabrina Carpenter here and 10/10 experience. Venue is very cute. Venue was small so everyone has a great view. Loved it was all out doors.

What a cool place for concerts! Super convenient, easy to park and walk. Awesome views - nothing but good things to say about our first concert here. Hope to find more reasons to go!

Was sick throwing up all night and morning day of and before event. Also called day of and before event to see if I can get a refund, but was denied waste of $180. Don't recommend buying tickets through them.

I went to an event there. There was no AC working in the buildings. Half of the plus worked. The back stage out doors what very uneven and dangerous to walk on. I would not recommend using this facility at all.

Marissa is not disclosing the full information on renting the venue. They are scamming people out of money by giving misleading information. DO NOT RENT this venue unless you want to be scammed out of your money.
