"At Himalayan and Indo-Chinese food truck Everest Momo, momo are the star. These bite-sized Tibetan-style dumplings are a popular street food in Nepal, and at Everest Momo, they’re served with a hand-ground spicy chutney. The chicken momo are filled with chicken, onion, ginger, and cilantro, while the vegetable momo are packed with a medley of cabbage, green beans, asparagus, and onions in a light green wrap. The trucks can be found across the Bay Area in San Jose, Milpitas, and Sunnyvale, and visitors are often eager to also try the chow mein, fried rice, and soups." - Cathy Park

Google
Very good food and fast service . The chillis momo was fabulous and one of the best momo on the town where they really balance the spice level and flavors even we asked for extra spicy . I would recommend this to everyone . New beauty in town

Google
The place is great. The owners have changed but the food tastes better. Really loved the flavors of new Momos. Loved chicken momo and would recommend everyone to give it a try. I also tried fried Momos and chicken chilli. They said they didn’t have rolls but will be adding later. Customer service was top notch, they even gave some free tea while we were waiting for order.

These guys used to be my go-to for the best momos in town—always made sure to grab both chicken and veg! But now, with new owners and a totally revamped menu, the magic’s gone. Sadly, I’d recommend skipping the momos for now. I’m curious to see what others think of their other dishes before I start searching for a new favorite Indo-Chinese spot.

Google
Used to be my absolute go-to spot for momos — seriously, nothing came close! But ever since the ownership changed, things just haven’t been the same. The veg momos now feel like a downgrade — thicker outer layer, way less stuffing, and smaller portions overall. Definitely missing the OG flavor and quality that made this place a favorite. Hope they bring it back!

All preparations are very good. Doordashed the food. There are 10 pieces in each Momo order. Quantity of noodles was pretty good. It fed 5 kids. Sauces taste great. Chilli Garlic chutney is very spicy so be vary of that who cannot eat hot spice.

Google
Best veggie momo I ever had ! So good ! Paneer , the spice of the ingredients stuffed inside the momo is perfectly blended !! Best of best ❤️

Google
Would give 7 Stars if I could !! Late night eats in Sunnyvale California. One of the most authentic and inexpensive food trucks with literally droolsome food, I was licking my fingers and immensely enjoying the succulent vegetarian momos. I’m not a momo fan and my order was the fried rice, but one bite into the momo I completely devoured the entire plateful. The Momo was hot and freshly made. The filling was just perfect with the right amount of moisture and the vegetables were cooked and yet had their crunch. This is something I’ve rarely seen even in the most expensive restaurant, the technique to cook a perfect momo. I was blown away by the taste and texture. The Veg Fried rice was delicious too. The dipping sauces were beyond amazing. They perfectly complimented the Momos and enhanced the dish. No wonder people flock to eat or take a parcel. They have a very limited menu but it’s made to 100% perfection!! A must visit for all. The Masala Chai was a good way to start the meal as the cool California nights do get chilly☺️😋

Google
THE BEST place (food truck) for momos. This is our go to place for momos everytime. Found tasty momos in Bay Area. Veg Kothey meaning fried momos are the best. I never had this tasty filling. It has a hint of ginger and it tastes very well. Never had any problem for togo orders. Veg chowmin was fine but momos are delicious. It comes with 2 chutneys. One of them is penut chutney and it’s very delicious. Love love the place.

Yelp
I've always passed this food truck and there is always a crowd. Having now tried it, I understand why! Customer service was nice. Food was amazing. There's tables outside, so sitting down to eat on a warm day was great. Chicken chow mein was probably the best I've ever had. Not greasy, perfect amount of protein and veggies.

Yelp
The Everest Momo is a Nepalese food truck in Sunnyvale, specializing in Momos. It's located in the parking lot near Galamart and Madras Cafe - there's plenty of lot parking where the stores around the truck are located. The owner of the food truck was very nice and there's a few tables for outdoor seating. They accept Apple Pay as well. The momos came out quick and were reasonably priced and portioned well. We ordered half chicken pan fried (kothey) and half chicken momos. Both were really flavorful and tasted great with the sauces on the side. This is a great place to go when craving a quick bite!

Nancy P.

Yelp
Love it . Some food options are good spicy. They are super busy all the time but the service is good . I usually order to take out but they have a few tables where you can enjoy your meal there. The amount per serving is good ! My favorite dish is the spicy chicken noodle

Yelp
On New Year's Eve, my family and I were searching for a delicious and hassle-free way to celebrate at home, especially with the rainy weather outside. We decided to order from a local food truck and stumbled upon The Everest Momo. What a fantastic choice! The food was not only flavorful but also made our celebration extra special. We truly appreciated the convenience and quality. Thank you, Everest Momo, for adding a tasty touch to our New Year's celebration!

Yelp
This place is so delicious, and so fresh! They have a ton of variety and give very large portions for what it is. Only thing is that its a food truck, so sometimes it can be difficult to find parking. But definitely worth it and the vegetarian momos were so incredibly fresh, juicy, and delicious. The chili garlic chutney was delicious and a wonderful addition. The service was fast and the ambiance was good minus the sound of traffic.

Ruchi B.

Yelp
All preparations are very good. Doordashed the food. There are 10 pieces in each Momo order. Quantity of noodles was pretty good. It fed 5 kids. Sauces taste great. Chilli Garlic chutney is very spicy so be vary of that who cannot eat hot spice. Food was delivered on time.

Yelp
Bomb momos Who knew an assuming food truck could be such a gem? Momos are made fresh to order. Takes about 10 minutes. Juicy, hot, meaty. Served with spicy and curry sauces. Def try the pan fried ones, you won't regret it. They have some tables to sit too

Sweta S.

Yelp
Came on a Friday evening around 8 pm. Ordered the half and half momo. Parked in the lot near Madras groceries and shopped for Indian grocery while waiting for them to prepare. They have a couple of seating tables that were occupied when we were there. Food arrived in 15 minutes and we enjoyed the momos. Both momos were super juicy - to the extent I am wondering whether they make it in a style 10-20 percent similar to Shanghai soup dumplings. 1. Veg kothey ( pan fried ) - rating 3.8/5 Nice crunch from veggies that were mixed with paneer. The dough was greenish and the momos were lightly pan fried unlike other places that deep fry momos 2. Chicken momos - rating 3.6/5 Good momos. Well filled with chicken keema. I would have given them a 4 star if the filling was not pasty but had crunch from some onions, ginger to it Will be back to try more of their dishes. The momos came with two chutneys - spicy chilli chutney - rating 4/5 Milder chutney - spicy enough but not as hot- rating 4.5/5

Bonnie G.

Yelp
The momos are definitely the best thing here, really good dumpling skin and the chicken and veggie are both delicious, unlike most momo spots where one is the obvious draw. Thought the chicken chow neon dish was okay, feel ike there was a taste missing from it, but it was still very fresh and solid alongside those comforting momos. Tables of outdoor seating which was nice and easy. Get those momos, for sure!

Aisling S.

Yelp
Delicious food truck! Food: Chicken momos: delicious. This was my first time eating momos so I followed the reviews recommendations and ate them right there at the tables next to the truck. They were yummy and warm. I think I prefer dim sum dumplings to momos. The sauce was flavorful and had a nice hint of ginger. Chili chicken: our favorite. Well flavored with the right amount of sauce. The chicken was a tad chewy but the flavor was so nice I didn't really care. Veggie Chow main: well flavored and tasted fresh with herbs. I wish there were more veggies in this; despite what other reviews said I didn't think there were many veggies. Chai: very cardamom forward. Nice every once in a while but not my everyday chai. The service was excellent! Ambiance: I'm kind of sad this is a food truck because I could see them doing really well with a small restaurant with some more ambiance. But I love the friendly hole in the wall atmosphere they have created with a food truck tucked beside a busy intersection.

Yelp
When we went there we had the worst experience ever. We had ordered in advance to eat, though when we received our food, it was extremely spicy. As I was talking at the counter about how we couldn't even eat the food, the person started debating with me nonstop. It's not like he was even listening to what I said, he only talked to prove he was right. At the end of the day, the food didn't go in our mouths, but in the trash.

Aurko G.

Yelp
We ordered take out from here for our momo cravings. Our usual order consists of multiple orders of chicken momo and their chicken chowmein. The momos taste and have flavors exactly like I remember eating them in India. The chicken noodles are great as well. They have excellent wok-hay (Thanks @Uncle Roger). The order is prepared quickly, typically within 10 mins, once you order over phone. Time of visit: Lunch, Dinner Ambience: This is a food truck. They have two tables with chairs setup next to the truck. There is also a trash can to dispose your plates. Quantity: Generous Parking: There are no "official" parking spots. However, there's a little inclined space enough for 3 cars just next to the food truck. If you are visiting for dinner you might also park at the small parking lot behind the truck. Times visited: 3

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a longggg time and finally had the opportunity to do so this past weekend. We ordered: Chicken momos: 4/5 these were interesting dumplings, good flavor, green colored filling. The kids liked them. Chili chicken With rice: 4/5 had a little kick to it, good flavor. Chicken chow mein: 3/5 the noodles are very thin, not very memorable. They give big portions. Service was a bit slow.

Rohan B.

Yelp
Another good to-go from here: Ordered our usuals - Veg Momo and Veg Chow mein. Good quantity and quality again and order was ready when we arrived to pick up.

Harmanjeet K.

Yelp
This small but mighty food truck serves delicious momos and chicken hakka noodles. The wok hei in noodles is spot on! The chef does a fabulous job in giving the momos and the hakka noodles the same flavor and texture all of us have grown up eating back home. The food is always ready in under 10 minutes and is packed perfectly, wrapped in silver foil first and then in individual boxes. The prices are very reasonable. Parking can be a bit tricky but we've always managed to find a spot to park and pick up our food. The lady on the phone has always been courteous and the chef also obliged by adding extra egg in our noodles this afternoon. We've already ordered food multiple times from here and this is only our first week in south bay. Excellent work, guys! We'll be back!

Nadim R.

Yelp
Best momos in the Bay area! It's our go to place especially on a rainy day. And the tea is awesome.

Nicholas M.

Yelp
Good food: Good service: friendly and fast. Recommend the chicken mono Food truck is somewhat hard to find

Riddhi P.

Yelp
This food truck is always on my list whenever I visit the Bay Area. I've been frequenting here for a few years - love how they've expanded so much. They get really busy during the weekend. Love their Veg Momos, Veg Fried Rice and Chilli Paneer. The perfect amount of spice! Can't wait to be back!

Smith K.

Yelp
I opted for the chicken chow mein instead of momos. I got it takeout, ordered online. It was ready 5 to 10 minutes early. Absolutely delicious! Good amount of spice, nice seasonings, good veggies. Will definitely get food from them again when I'm in the area!

Tahir N.

Yelp
My wife placed the order for takeout so I went to pick it up. I did not realize it was a food truck. No matter, the food was delicious. We had the veggie potstickers which were good. And we also had another vegetarian dish which I am not recalling at the moment specifically, but I can say that we both enjoyed it.

Porshay H.

Yelp
Delicious Chicken Momo's. Service is quick and friendly. The Orange sauce is soooooo good!

Prakriti K.

Yelp
Got to eat momos here again after a really long time. Glad that they taste the very same and great! Our go-to options are the veg momos and veg chow mein. Love the taste and balance of spices in most dishes. The momo spicy chutney is a legend in itself. The portions are fantastic and sufficient to share between 4 people. We got 10 pieces in one order of veg momos. It's also open until 10, which made it convenient to grab a late night snack! Sad that we don't have this place in the PNW!

Yara D.

Yelp
The chicken momo here are so amazing 10/10 recommend ! The filling to wrap ratio is perfect and the chicken is super juicy ! I find myself ordering momo from here at least once a week. I ordered the chai once and it was really bad but the momo being amazing it what keeps me coming back.

Alyssa P.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to try momos, so I got The Everest Momo for lunch! I ordered online via grubhub for takeout. I can't comment on the pickup process as my friend ended up picking up for me. I opted for the half and half momos for variety, along with the vegetable chow mein and chili chicken with rice. Prices were reasonable, especially for the amount of food. I also appreciated the foil lining the takeout boxes to prevent leakage. The chicken momos were my favorite of the meal - tasty filling. The veggie momo skins were too soft and broke apart, and the filling tasted over cooked and mushy. The chow mein was standard; my friend and I both thought it could do with more seasoning. I wasn't a fan of the chili chicken. I found the taste to be slightly sweet and not at all what I was expecting. Portions were very generous!

Adithya A.

Yelp
Love the veg and egg fried rice here. Full of vegetables and delicious! Momos are good too. I wish they add more varieties to the menu like Schezwan rice and choupsey

Ravi D.

Yelp
Ordered the half-and-half chicken and veg momo and the Chili Chicken. Chicken Momo (5/5) These things were really delicious. Savory and succulent with the right balance of meat, spices and aromatics. I have never particularly cared for the momo sauces and the great thing about these momos is that they don't need them. Veg Momo (3.5/5) These are dyed green and are quite a bit of a let down relative to the chicken momos. Less savory since there isn't any chicken (paneer is the substitute I'm guessing), but nothing in the filling has enough umami or fat to compensate. If you're looking for flavor, you'll need the sauces. Chili Chicken w/ Rice (3/5) This dish was pretty disappointing since everything needed for a spectacular dish is here, but fell short on the execution. You get a lot of chicken, which is cooked well, but the sauce (which holds most of the flavor) was minimal as were the caramelized onions (another important component since it adds to the savoriness and soaks up the sauce). If these guys weren't so stingy with the sauce and onions this could have been a 4.5 or 5/5. I'll be back to try the chow mein, the jhel momos, and the fried momos.

Sudhanshu M.

Yelp
This one is specifically for the Sunnyvale one... have been here quite a few times and was there last night too.. probably, the best momos in the South bay. Amazing quantity - 10 pieces.. wow! reasonable prices, friendly staff and a great location - El Camino. Something unique out here - Lime Soda

Sarika R K.

Yelp
The chicken chowmein is so good, it reminds me street food from India. Chai also very good! Fantastic service!

Tiffany C.

Yelp
It was okay. Tried both veggie and chicken momos and a chai. The filling is not to my taste and the skin is a little too thick but it is moist.

Supriya L.

Yelp
Update: it's been almost 2 years I have been eating from this place and it never disappoints me. I used to drive here from San Francisco every weekend just for the Momos. Tip: Everest Momos has many locations but Momos from Sunnyvale are the best

Carrie R.

Yelp
Good late night momos! This place is open pretty late (for the area), even on a week night. The momos are really soft and delicious. The sauces are also tasty with the momos. They cook everything fresh, so it takes about 15 minutes for the order, but worth the wait! I think you can order online ahead of time, so I'd recommend doing that if you don't want to wait. I also got the chicken chow mein, which I thought was just okay, a little too greasy. The containers for the food are small, so not super convenient to eat some of the food in the car or on the go.

Mahitha R.

Yelp
I've been coming here for 5 years and love the consistently delicious food. The menu is easy (just momos, chow mein and fried rice). The chow mein and fried rice are absolutely perfect .. so much wok hei and the spring veggies are really great. The momos are also really tasty, but do get a bit soggy for takeout (so I recommend eating them there). Parking at this location can get really tricky - I'd recommend going with two people so that once can take the car elsewhere if needed.

Ryan L.

Yelp
Went for a late night food truck experience, and I got exactly that. This place is an Indian-Chinese fusion food truck. The food was served very quickly, and the takeout was very compact in its container. Be sure to grab some vinegar and soy sauce on the side of the truck, as it is not provided in the bag. The food itself was very flavorful, but also very heavy (there were many different herbs and oil inside the momo half and half). I actually preferred the vegetarian momo over the chicken one because it seemed to have a more unique twist (compared to the chicken momo which tasted like a xiao long Bao). This was definitely a unique treat with decent pricing (~$10), and I will bring my friends here if they haven't tried it before. Would recommend!

A S.

Yelp
The literally lost my yelp order. The guy on cash counter barely understands english or hindi. otherwise their Momos are nice and tasty.

Devi K.

Yelp
Disappointing especially after the reading all the favorable Yelp reviews. - Veggie momos were pretty good. Sauces were not exciting. - chow mein was meh. - veggie fried rice was terrible. Super dry. - They use MSG. At least they're upfront about it. - Service is SLOW. There weren't many people at the truck but they seems to have a lot of to go orders? Took over 20 minutes to get our order of momos, vegetable chow mien and veggie fried rice. - they have tables, but there is no shade! Given you have to wait over 20 min to get your food, that's a lot of sun.

Anu U.

Yelp
So sad to see this little food truck go downhill. Got my usual hakka noodles and fried rice and neither had any flavor at all. At one point not so long ago, I was mentally comparing the hakka noodles here to Red Hot Chilli Pepper in San Carlos.. alas, no more. Also, I saw the server pick up noodles with his BARE hands and put it in a to go box. I'm sure that's a safety violation!!!

Sandeep R.

Yelp
Best place for momos hands down ! Their "veggie fried rice" and "veggie chow mein" options are decent albeit a bit too spicy Nonetheless , 4 stars for their momos alone

Sang P.

Yelp
Chilli chicken with rice. My go-to from here. Price went up a bit during COVID which is definitely understandable. This dish used to be really spicy pre-COVID but during COVID, the spiciness declined a bit (I order from here a lot so it's definitely noticeable and statistically significant) but you can always request to make it spicier if needed. The quality is a hit or miss but generally, it's always been above average. When the chicken is cooked well it's excellent. The momos are great here too. That's their speciality. Just try it.

Tyler T.

Yelp
Do not get the lime soda here. While it sounds very good and for the most part was good, they put this spice in it that makes it taste like egg and once you smell that egg, it is impossible to enjoy the lime soda as it is no longer refreshing and just like egg. The dumplings themselves were pretty good, especially in the sauce that they provided. It was flavorful and mostly still juicy and moist on the inside. The noodles though were not good. I feel like even the noodles at Panda Express are better than the noodles here. They were too dry and even putting in the hot sauce to try and cover up the flavor did not work.

Kenneth L.

Yelp
We had the egg fried rice and chicken momos. The sauces can get spicy! The Momo are solid and now come with 10/serving (about 1$ each) and are filled to the brim. The egg fried rice was a bit dry but oh so was full of flavor. The spicy red sauce is very spicy (with a strong garlic flavor) but oh so good. Highly recommend this sauce if you can handle the heat. Overall a good experience and the momo are definitely worth the try.

Dee M.

Yelp
We tried their veggie momos. The chutneys went really well and the food was fresh. Reasonably priced as well.

Manushi M.

Yelp
Amazing food at a great price! I highly recommend this food truck if you are craving for momos/dumplings. I have had almost everything on their menu and here are my recommendations. Must order: 1. Masala chai! The taste is perfect every time! 2. I would recommend ordering chicken Momos instead of veg momos if you are not a vegetarian. Chicken momos are definitely better in taste! 3. I would recommend veg chowmein instead of chicken chowmein because i couldn't really find much meat in the chicken chowmein frankly and veg chowmein is loaded with veggies so found it much more flavourful. Overall I highly recommend this place and would recommend getting extra sauces with your order because their sauces are awesome!

Dominic T.

Yelp
We ordered for delivery and were very disappointed with the food. The vegetable chow mein tasted overwhelmingly of black pepper and nothing else, there were also no vegetables other than scallion - definitely nothing like the photo. The vegetable momos we also just not good. They were mushy and had nothing but onion inside. My partner and I ended up eating just a few bites and throwing it out.

Gary C.

Yelp
We drove by this food truck all the time. We finally decided to try it since a lot of the restaurants nearby closes at 8. Plenty of parking at 8pm. it shared the parking lot with another mexican food truck. You can have the food there with their picnic table or to go. Food aren't too expensive either. Beware people who do not like cilantro, their food are heavily cilantro, even their sauce too!

Priya A.

Yelp
Stopped by one evening as I wanted to eat some momos and this place had good reviews. We had veg momos and veg chow mein. There are some tables outside if you want to sit and eat. Most people seemed to have ordered to go. The veg momos were a bit disappointing. I would rate it 3.5 stars. The filling was not that yummy and it relied on lot of sauce to make it good. There was momo sauce and hot sauce available.veg chow mein on the hand was very good. It was spicy from green chillies and black pepper. Each bite made us need water but the taste of it made us have more. They have another location in Milpitas and Berkeley, I think. I would come back for the noodles!

Audrey H.

Yelp
Your typical food truck- food is quick and pretty tasty, well portioned, and priced reasonably. It also contains MSG- which you could ask them to exclude.

Sophie H.

Yelp
A nice food truck on the side of the road. Large portions and cheap (relatively) price.

Ramnath S.

Yelp
Hands down the best momos around bay area! We got their chicken momos and chicken fried rice. Both were amazing. Being from Mumbai, reminded me of the tasty Mumbai indo-chinese street food! The dipping sauce for momos is spicy, not for the faint hearted! Highly recommended!

Vivek K.

Yelp
If you are looking for quick and cheap Nepalese food, this is the place to go. I ordered the Veg Momo, Veg Fried Rice, and Veg Chow Mein for takeout. The Veg Momo was pretty good. It seems to have been filled with some sort of cabbage and some paneer, and the sauces on the side that come with it are so good. My favorite is the momo sauce, which I believe is the greener sauce, than the red chili garlic sauce, as it tastes so good with the momo, but enjoyed eating both with it. However, I have had momos before with a bit more vegetables than this, and I would have liked it even more if it was like that. If you are ordering it for takeout, the bottom momos get slightly soggy, so I think the momos are best eaten fresh at the truck. The Veg Chow Mein is good. I wouldn't say it's amazing as it felt a little lacking in terms of flavor, but it was definitely a good fast food option whenever you are just craving noodles. The Veg Fried Rice was probably my favorite. It felt more flavorful than the Chow Mein and felt like authentic Indo Chinese/Nepalese Fried Rice. If you had to choose from Chow Mein or Fried Rice, even though I am a huge noodle fan, the Fried Rice is pretty good here. Overall, you have to consider that this is a fast food food truck. It isn't meant to be an amazing place, but the prices are reasonable and the food is good. Don't let the togo containers fool you because it is a pretty good amount of food. Also, if you pay with cash, you get a 7% discount, so you get more value from your money. I would definitely visit this place again!

Bharti K.

Yelp
Really wanted to try this truck from a long time but stars never aligned and all the lights from my apartment to this truck never became green at the same time...lol :D But....Got to try them recently and everything was delicious. Got 2 orders of veggie momos, veg noodles, and chai. Don't get deceived by small boxes in which food will be packed. Once you layout the food(especially noodles) in a plate, you will know its huge quantity. One order of momos had 8 pieces in it and it costed only $6 bucks. 2 orders of momos and noodles was so much that we had it for lunch and dinner on the same day. Loved their momos so much that I will go back to try their chicken ones. Chai had loads of cardamom and ginger in it so it tasted awesome. Variety of food is limited but they do a good job with all the items they serve. Keep up the great work Everest Momo.
