"Opened in 2009, this award-winning gastropub specializes in serving comfort food with a modern twist. The décor eschews traditional pub motifs for something sleeker, with light woods, bright colors, color-blocked bookshelves, and sculptural accents creating a vibe that’s part-mod café, part brand-new airport lounge (in a good way) with inventive food to match. Make a reservation for weekend brunch and head in with a few pals—you can't nosh on prawn tacos, a full-Irish, and a pork roast all by yourself, now can you?" - Sandra Ramani

Horrible Customer Service Visited this establishment with a friend for tea and a few drinks plus a meal. Unfortunately, all they cared for was our covid certs. They went on to welcome other customers who came after us and gave them menus. They made us wait for more 30min. We had to literally grab them so they could give us a menu. Even thereafter they left us. We again had to grab them so we could order tea and a drink. The service was extremely poor. They made us feel like we were aliens, rejects, second class citizens or things that do not belong. Never felt this in a century and I doubt I could ever set a foot here or recommend this establishment to any person even the worst of my enemies. I regret setting a foot here.

First flight out of Stockholm on a Sunday morning arrived here at midday for a Sunday beef roast. It's the perfect start to a day sightseeing. You've got to order before Friday if you want this, it's for four people and even though I played safe and ordered medium / well, it was great food and came with the trimmings and a lovely gravy. For £75 you get lunch for four and a bottle of wine. Seriously thinking about taking another trip to Dublin to start the day here again.

Good pub with a good atmosphere. They appear to have a great selection of drinks and lots of people were ordering many weird and wonderful concoctions that looked great. The Guinness was good too though, which isn't always the case in busier bars. Bar food is also available and their sharing platters are amazing. Will definitely revisit.

Well The Exchequer is definitely a pub I would visit again in a heartbeat. We had 3 chicken mains and chips that we all agreed were lovely and drank the place dry of Peroni. The waiter Paddy and all the staff were really pleasant and the food and drink was delicious. Great location, especially on a sunny day with plenty of seating, although you do have to book. Stayed from 5pm until about 11pm and was one of the best nights out I can remember. We were told we could stay as long as we wanted but almost had this cut to 2 hours because of a slight mix up, but they were vary facilitating in the end. I would recommend the Exchequer to anyone, great location, great drinks and great food and great atmosphere. P.S: That was not Darragh you spoke to on the phone or with the dreadful shirt 😅, and there was no Facebook review group with 7000 followers... That was my friend Ian O'Dowd. Apologies, he gets a bit carried away when he's let outside. 🤣 I did however make the original booking. Thanks to all the staff for having us. Darragh, Ian, Matt and Stephen

Yesterday I faced the horrible customer service in the Exchequer. We booked a table outside and we were sit at the edge table near the entrance. It started to rain and even though we had a cover from the rain, because of wind the rain splashed to us and on the table few times. We asked a manager to change the table because we saw a better table next to us but we were refused with the reason that that table were booked by others. Though when we did booking I didn't see the opportunity to choose the exact table. We talked to a manager few times asking to be flexible and change our table because we didn't feel comfortable there but nothing changed. I won't come to the place where the customers are not respected and served as they mean nothing.

An unpretentious bar that serves high quality (and award winning) cocktails. I had the smokey old fashioned and it was an absolute dream, no wonder the friendly and knowledgable staff so heavily recommended it. The touch of maple syrup makes such a smooth drink, sweet but not overpoweringly so. I can’t wait to go back and try more. At €9-12 for cocktails the prices are in line with other middle-high end bars and is very fair value for what you get. Will certainly return.

Central location, good service, reasonable prices (for Dublin). The onion ring batter left something to be desired but the fish was good. My family enjoyed their pasta and veggie burger too.

Pub in Dublin centre. Unlike many other pubs in Grafton streets whereabouts, it’s not the one for tourists, many natives come here to have a pint. Many drinks, few dishes on the menu though delicious. Moderate prices!
