The Fabulous Fern - Olathe Home Decor

My custom winter outdoor pot fillers from The Fabulous Fern are gorgeous! Blake designed these faux floral arrangements just for me based on some inspo photos I texted, plus some fancy words I threw at him like whimsical, asymmetrical, contemporary and organic. I lamented putting away the summer pots he created for me earlier this year, that are also just as fantastic, but I know they'll come back out soon enough and for many more years. The UV-resistant, outdoor-specific materials he uses have true, lasting strength and beauty—well worth the investment! I get so many compliments and never have to water them. And by the way, The Fabulous Fern is an amazing store inside that wows and delights! So worth the drive from Lee's Summit.

I found Fabulous Fern in my FB feed by accident. The videos and pictures do not do this store justice! It’s not a store it’s an experience! Blake and his staff have worked tirelessly to create the most incredible “outside the box” displays. Everything you need to attempt to recreate your own tree is at your fingertips. Pricing is fair for a small business. The staff was very pleasant and eager to help on a very busy open house day. Don’t miss treating yourself to some “eye candy” this holiday season!

It is very unusual in today’s environment to find a storefront, whose owner is more interested in creativity and meeting the needs of his clientele than just pushing merchandise. Blake Tuohy, owner, is one of the brightest talents to come onto this scene in a very long time. Unlike other “wannabe” shops who exist on “xeroxing” others ideas, Blake‘s creativity is “The Original.” Congratulations Blake and your staff at the Fabulous Fern!

The shop has such a welcoming, cozy vibe… you can tell everything is curated with thoughtful styling in mind. Whether you’re looking for a perfect gift, faux greenery/florals, or something fun for your home, you’ll find it here (and probably more than you planned!). The staff are always so kind and helpful, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Olathe is lucky to have a gem like this!

The Fabulous Fern is my go to shop for gifts and home decor. Walking inside the shop throughout the seasons is my favorite thing to do. The selection of items is superb and I always find something special to bring home that adds a special touch to my home. When my mom passed this year and I was looking for items for her memorial table, I found the perfect Angel and word block at the Fabulous Fern that I now display in my home. The shop has something for everyone and a great place to find gifts for friends and loved ones.

Such an amazing place. It was like going over to a relatives house. So inviting and warm. All the staff were super and very helpful. Learned a lot about our future trips here. Covered for all seasons. I can’t enough. My family and I have added The Fabulous Fern to our must go for the holidays!

I was in the store 2 weeks ago and Blake the owner spent a 1/2 hour talking to me about another decorator he knew and I hadn’t met. It was so fun and he took such time and never once looked like he needed to be some other place. He was kind and very generous with his time. I told him his store is beautifully done and he had excellent taste. I love going In there picking his brain. Going in there look for him and just see how wonderful he and his staff are.

I watched a video, commented that I would be in the next day to buy the lamp he mentioned. The next day I brought my 98 year old mother in and asked about the lamp. They had placed it at the front counter to save Mom and me steps and time. Thanks for the extra service.

I love this place. The seasonal options are wonderful. Staff is amazing, kind, creative and informational. The shop is cute, gives a lot of ideas but sometimes the prices are a little higher than other places that you can get an identical item. I have found lots of my Christmas and fall decorations here

I spent $500.00 here on gifts for Christmas presents. (Not holiday decor) I needed to return or exchange a $100. Item that didn't work for recipient and 2 sets of candles were missing a base in each box. I was fine with store credit and had additional decor to purchase (= no loss to them) but I was outside their 14 day store credit policy. No exceptions. Also doesn't matter that we had a record setting snowfall & they weren't even open. I will not shop this store again. This is ridiculous. They did provide the missing parts to the candle bases but said "these were opened." Yes, I know. One candle out of each box was missing the base. Any way you do the math, 2 candles were worthless. She was rude & unapologetic. #notsofabulousfern.

I love this store! Whether I'm looking for a gift or something for our home, I always find something fabulous at The Fabulous Fern. It's fun to just get lost wandering around this huge store with it's excellent decorating inspiration all around. Everyone is friendly and happy to show you what's new in the store .Although I haven't watched, my friend rarely misses their live shows on Facebook and says the ladies are a lot of fun. This is hands down my favorite place to shop for home decor, gifts, furniture, and don't even get me started on their holiday selection. Great selection, great staff, great place to shop!

This store is so overpriced & they NEVER have sales!! They have an open house in the spring & winter & they USED to have a postcard they sent out that gave you 15% off ONE ITEM, not even your whole purchase! This year they aren't giving ANY discounts! I'm done going there!

I love all the help I receive in this store. I've had several different sales people help me 3 different times to find greenery for a specific planter, etc. All three accomplished this in a matter of minutes while I would have agonized for an hour or more. I appreciate the help!

Whoever works at the front desk check out with dark hair and probably 55+ very old crusty and aging needs to learn how to be kind to people. Laughed in my face over forgetting to put my rewards in and asking to do it after. It was very clear she was trying to make me out to seem cheap or poor because it was somehow hilarious that I wanted to use rewards spending $200+. Forget the rewards. The fabulous fern more like the f***ed up fern.

The Fabulous Fern is my favorite place to go for home decor. Their holiday selection is always unique and beautiful. Our community is enriched by local stores with owners who care and give back locally. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store!!!
