The False Front

Our mixologists were great! Loved what they were doing while creating our cocktails. Very friendly and welcoming. We tried a couple cocktails and I also had a nice rare craft beer from Upland Brewing out of Columbus, IN. Stop in and get something different and adventurous!

I have been coming for almost a year now and it never disappoints!! Bartenders can make pretty much anything you request!! And they are an absolute pleasure to chat with and be around, highly recommend a pickle back shot, lemon drop martini, cocktails from their main menu, ect… honestly anything u get here is amazing!! I’ve tried things I’ve never had and always been happy!!!

Great people, extensive drink list, exceptional drinks for a small cozy cool space. Did we mention the great people who run the place? So thoughtful and fun!

This was a recommendation from a local while we were in Union Pier exploring, and we were not disappointed! It's a tiny little place, with incredible drinks. If you're looking for a fun little spot to sit with the girls, or a date night, this is the place! Can't wait to go back again!

This was a super cool spot to stop for a night cap! First, we loved the concept of reopening the deli at night as kind of a secret speak easy. The bartenders were hip and knowledgeable, the cocktail menu was well varied and well designed, and the drinks were amazing! My wife chose a Cosmo and it was delicious, and I had an old fashioned that was among the most carefully crafted I’ve ever had for the price. On a date night? Go here! Out with friends? Go here! Rough day of fishing? Go here! Is your favorite bar an Applebees where you can slurp a Bahama Mama? Go here and learn how great a bar and a drink can be!

Nice place. Stopped in after work for a few drinks, open late. Bartender was nice and they had a good selection of beer and reasonably priced cocktails.

This is the same spot as David's Deli, just open at night. It's a cute vibe and good drinks. I had the old fashioned both times I went. I went twice on my visit. Wednesday night wasn't too busy; Friday was busier for sure. I don't think they are good at handling big groups or managing the area outside of the immediate bar area, so something to consider if you're going with a group larger than 4 or so or it's busy. You'll likely need to wait a bit. Otherwise a great spot to grab a drink!

My mom and I had a wonderful time at The False Front yesterday. Great ambiance and drinks! Will be back!

New Buffalo is traditionally known for its summertime, fun, with most of the bars and restaurants either closing or substantially reducing their service in the winter off-season. So when I was looking for a drink one night while visiting family in the area, I was surprised to find this establishment not only open late, but also to have such a robust and diverse cocktail menu. The bartenders were very fun, very cool and chill ambience, and some of the best tasting cocktails I've had in a while. I will openly admit that I have a slight superiority complex coming from a big major city, so my expectations were low prior to entering. However, the flavor and diversity of selection easily lines up with some of the best cocktail bars from where I came from - - and for 1/4 of the cost. I think one of the coolest things is that it's in a converted deli. Also almost every patron that comes in is from the area making it what seems like one of the few true remaining "watering holes" in our Modern era . So if you're looking for an affordable and delicious cocktail With diverse and robust ingredients, or just looking to make a new friend, I highly recommend you check this out. Just to be aware, though, this is truly a cocktail bar, and their only food selection is either some chips or mixed nuts.

What a hidden gem!!! Such a fun conversation about wines and spirits with the bartender. She is great and really knows her stuff. Can't wait to get back for some more fun and great wine.

The after-hours bar within David's Delicatessen & Coffee. Open most nights from 6pm - midnight - closed Tuesday. Exceptional cocktails and beers. Our group of 8 (4 couples) went to the False Front for a post dinner drink around 9. The bar had maybe two other tables of customers. After not having anyone take our drink order or acknowledge us for about 15 minutes, the lady who we presumed was the bartender asked if we would like to sit in their outside patio and we accepted the invitation. After being seated outside, we waited another 15 minutes for someone to come take our drink order before sending a member of our party to order from the bar. Our friend went to the bar to make the order, and after waiting another 10 minutes and not seeing her start the order (half of which were canned beers), she asked about our drinks and was told "I have other things to do." We promptly left and will never be back.
