Should book a reservation for a table or seat yourself first come first serve at the bar.
The front desk is a bit unorganized. Came in with a reservation and was told to follow a waitress. The waitress seated another pair? Returned to the front where we had to wait for other people to get seated first. What was the point of the reservation??
Tables are small but the waiters are quick to cleanup so it's fairly efficient. Waiters and bus boys seem to be scrambling as staff were walking very quickly everywhere. Each course prob took roughly 10 minutes from order to table, so pretty fast.
Deviled eggs, never really get these but I hear comments about how much people seem to enjoy them so had to try. Thought they were just okay, would probably not get again. These came out super fast though.
Spring scallop risotto, thought it would've been better if it were served with a spoon. Very thin sauce but cheesey enough to hold the rice together. Thought it was fresh tasting, friend thought it was weird.
Rigatoni bolognese, what'd you'd expect from a pasta dish, tomato sauce and beef. Liked it, but prob wouldn't pay 30$ for it again.
Bluebarb pie, liked it, crumble crust was nice. Blueberries weren't too sweet. Ice cream was just okay. A bit mediocre on the freeze, not icy but probably lower in fat content.
Tavern crunch, I didn't like this. It didn't really taste like peanut butter or chocolate or caramel to me. Bottom crust was fairly hard to cut through with the spoon provided. Friend said it was like one of those reesse's no-bake things.
Chamule, interesting, but wouldn't get again. Kind of sour. Pretty expensive at 11$.
Tavern tea, was lemonade. Was fine.
Has 2 single room neutral gender bathrooms, manual sink, toilet, soap. Hand dryer, no towels.
Lighting is pretty dim but had necessary table lamps. Noise is moderate, less loud than a sports bar. Had groups of all sizes and parents walking their small children around.
Don't trust google maps if you're trying to go eastbound on 70. It says you can cut through the parking lot around back but it's really unkept with concrete posts littering around and a curb that's not marked. Just go westbound and make a turn somewhere to turn around. Parking out front can get busy.
Being a local but never having visited, thought it was time to go as recommended by a colleague. Thought it was alright but all this cost like $150 (after tax and tip).
They take your card back to their counter POS, so no mobile pay.
