Where to Eat, Drink, and Snack in Germantown: A Local’s Guide | Eater Philly

"So yes, my farm is there, but overall I feel like it’s just a gem to have in Germantown because it’s a cooperative space of different food and agriculture projects — we’re there, Weaver’s Way is there, the Philly Goat Project is there, the Philadelphia Guild of Handweavers is there, the Philly Beekeepers Guild is there — and it’s really cool picking everyone’s brains on what they’re doing because you’re bound to learn something." - Maddy Sweitzer-Lamme

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great FREE & EDUCATIONAL spot for kids!! We love visiting the farm, especially for the goats, chickens, and kid’s play area. It’s a small farm so manageable to walk around with a toddler or baby in carrier. Trails are stroller friendly with good wheels. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch the Philly Goat Project goats out for a walk and get to pet them. There are also community gardens here where you can tend to your own garden, a great opportunity for those who may not have the space otherwise. They offer a lot of free community events throughout the year, including family fun Sundays!

Absolutely loved the Happy Hour with Goats event. Staff were very friendly and goats were, well, very friendly too! There were plenty of goats and we could pet them all we want. They also did a quick goat yoga which was awesome. I’d come back.

For a $20 donation you can drop off your Christmas trees and give the goats food. The Christmas trees donated go towards feeding the goats for an entire year! Free hot cocoa, marshmallow toasting and goat petting are some of the perks. There is also an opportunity to buy some goat swag too. Try the hand lotion for a nice treat. Venmo accepted which was fantastic! You and the little ones will have a nice time and get out for some fresh air.
