My husband and I were visiting the area and were looking for a place we could book reservations for Dinner and found The Farm Bar and Grille.
The parking lot is massive and looks like it is more local rather than tourists since it was all Massachusetts license plates (which we liked!)
Our hostess seemed nice, but a little overwhelmed. It seemed like she was managing the phone, take out orders, cleaning up tables, etc. We had to wait 5 or so minutes for her to clean a booth for us which was fine, and we got seated in a small booth for two.
The table was very sticky even though she wiped it down, the menu was completely sticking to the table, I had a hard time picking it up.
It took us about 10 or so minutes to be approached to order. Our waitress seemed nice, but VERY scattered. I think she was very overwhelmed and was serving a lot of tables. She kept wanting us to take our time and keep coming back to take our order (but it would be 15-20 minutes before we'd see her again each time).
We ordered the Ocean on the Farm drink and the "Bartender's Choice" which was a "surprise" which was a cool concept. It ended up being a Mango Sour Ale which my husband didn't mind, but wasn't a major fan of. My Ocean on the Farm was sooo delicious, I ended up ordering another one when our food came.
We ordered appetizers (fried pickles and the mozzarella bites), and the food portions were HUGE. The mozzarella bites were absolutely delicious. Because the service was a little bit slower, I ended up filling up almost entirely on the mozzarella bites (and could barely even ate my dinner, which was the Farmer's Mac). I originally asked for no jalapenos and for barbecue sauce on the side, but when it arrived, there were jalapeno's on the bottom (which made my mac and cheese overall very spicy) and no barbecue sauce. I tried to hold off on eating until our waitress came back, but had to start eating it since she was busy with the other tables. We also asked for boxes for our appetizers, but she unfortunately forgot the boxes. She asked us again if we wanted boxes when we barely ate our mac and cheese, so she gave us the boxes for both our appetizers and entrees then.
She asked us if we wanted any dessert, which was said no because we were very full, and then she said we could just take the dessert home and eat it later, so we also ordered the churro cheesecake (we ended up getting the second to last slice left which was nice).
When our waitress grabbed my plate to take it away, she accidentally knocked the marinara sauce from the mozzarella bites onto my arms and shirt, thankfully it was almost all finished so it didn't really get on me.
Our waitress was nice and definitely not holding anything against her, I think I only saw her and maybe one or two other waitresses the entire night (the restaurant was VERY loud and bustling so I knew it was crowded and busy). The other waiters I saw just appeared to be runners (giving us our appetizers/entrees/etc).
