A year-round Saturday market on the West End, blending parish hospitality with a curated vendor mix and SNAP with Virginia Fresh Match. Frequently included in local newspaper roundups, it’s calm, friendly, and reliably seasonal.

Google
Pretty good farmers market! I didn’t know this existed until I was looking for a farm raised Turkey for thanksgiving. There was a couple places serving hot food, several farm stands, fresh meat, and other things.

Google
Love this little farmers market! Great variety of items and vendors even donate to the Church's food pantry.

Yelp
Very cute! Plenty of local produce. A knife sharpener; flowers; empanadas; Brunswick stew; several bakeries. Check their website and they do a nice job letting you know who will be there for the week. Plenty of parking!

Yelp
This farmers market is small enough to be manageable by anyone, able-bodied or elsewise. Unlike other local farmers markets that lean into craft dealers more than raw or prepared food vendors, this market strikes a very good balance. And the food vendors seem to skew toward the higher end of quality and selection. Parking is easy and no more distant a walk than other local farmers markets. We look forward to returning next Saturday.

Yelp
Could possibly be the best farmers market I have been to in any city I have lived in. And we have moved a bunch. From upstate New York to Houston texas to Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia. Do yourself a favor and go here. Everything wAs so fresh and the people are amazing.

Yelp
WOW, what a find. I usually go to the farmer's markets at the Great Big Green house on Thursday afternoon or the one at Westchester Commons on Thursday afternoon but often, it is hard to get them to fit into my schedule. So when I heard about this market, which is on Saturday morning, I was able to give it a try. Granted, it was the first cool day we'd had in a while, I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this market. They had a nice selection of vendors and though I didn't buy everything I wanted, I know I'll be back. I found veggies, various local meat and seafood sellers, alpaca products, Red Cap bakery (I'm eating scones and croissants as I type!) and many other fun things. Currently they are still in the parking lot for the fall but do more indoors in the winter, so they are a year round market.

Yelp
This is my favorite farmer's market that we've been to so far! I love that it's smaller scale and more focused on produce vs. more prepared foods / craft vendors. We've had really great luck with the produce here (so far, we've gotten tomatoes and squash). The pork vendor (black boar) has some truly incredible meat - the pork chops we got from him were amazing. We also got handmade pesto and mozzarella cheese from the market, and both were spectacular. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot to grab some special produce for the upcoming week!

Yelp
Great fresh products, vendors and people. Good setting, convenient and reliable. Becomes a habit, yes a good one!

Yelp
This farmers market is a lovely medium sized market where you can get all your essentials. I've been going since February, and love that during the summer they expand to outside the church. During the winter, the vendors dwindle down and the market moves indoors. There's normally some local music performing - I think I've seen a high school band here, some activities for kids (today it was sidewalk chalk), a couple of vendors or food trucks (literally just 2 per week maybe), and an array of farmers, alpaca woven items, flowers, knife sharpening, stew, plants, and granola. It's a cool place and less crowded than SOTJ, however I know the appeal of the woodsy location and food trucks galore draws many in. If you've never been, give St Stephens a try!

Yelp
Meh. This is not one of the better Farmers Markets in Richmond, honestly. Perhaps I'm a dick, I don't know. There aren't too many stalls and except for one or two they never really seem to have much. About half the stalls are crafts or prepared foods and there aren't too many that have vegetables I'm excited about. Frog Bottom Farm and um...I forget the name of him, but this really cool Hispanic guy selling stuff out of a giant panel van. He's always running it with his kids and he seems like a nice guy. People are mostly friendly but I got a high pressure sales pitch from the folks who sell apple butter and tea and I'm still miffed about it, years later. In my humble opinion, unless you're already in or near the West End it's better to go to another market. Standard farmers market hours of 8 to noon on Saturday.

Yelp
I've been going to the St. Stephens market for years and now drive from the Fan to do so. I can do most of my weekly shopping here, with vendors selling meat, poultry, seafood, produce, fruit, bread, cheese, coffee, and numerous ready-to-eat foods. The same farmers come here throughout the year, and we're able to talk with them about food preparation and storage. The market moves inside in the winter with a slightly smaller group of vendors. Out of Richmond's numerous farmers markets, I consider St. Stephens the best!

Yelp
Wonderful market! Small, uncrowded and it offers a great selection of fresh fruit, veggies, farm fresh eggs, fresh butters and more! Shopping to the live music is especially nice! I look forward to spending my Saturday mornings here

Yelp
The most accessible market in town, parking is very easy, vendors are friendly. Stress free environment

Yelp
This Farmer's Market is one of the best in town and should have been on the weekly review you just sent out! They have excellent high quality vendors. There is easy access and good parking. How about walking 100 ft. instead of 3/4mile from your car? I will be sure to share this with our Market Manager, Kate Ruby. The music is awesome often quality bands referred by Tammy Rostov. For a full list of vendor's; http://www.saintstephensrichmond.net/farmersmarket FB page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Farmers-Market-at-St-Stephens/75493291449 Come check it out and I will eat my farm raised sausage, if that ain't one of the best!
