The Best Of The Rest: 28 More New London Restaurants We Loved This Year - London - The Infatuation

"This huge modern boozer in Camden’s Stables is serving an excellent tomahawk steak, as well as a roast dinner with all the trimmings. A very useful spot to know about in NW1." - jake missing, rianne shlebak

Where To Eat Before Or After A Gig In Camden - London - The Infatuation

"Depending on who you’ve paid to see this evening, the words ‘converted horse hospital’ will either sound very punk or somewhat alarming. Remain calm, because The Farrier—a converted horse hospital inside Camden Stables that looks like the lovechild of a modern public house and your mate’s barn wedding—is really very charming. Despite it technically having pub status, you shouldn’t dismiss the food here. Whether you’re swinging by pre or post gig, you’ll find quality seasonal British ingredients from fresh Cornish crab to 28-day-aged beef alongside natural wine and a winning negroni. Just be aware that they close earlier on a Monday and Tuesday." - heidi lauth beasley

We had our wedding at The Farrier and we can’t say enough good things about the whole experience. We have always enjoyed going for meals and so when we needed to find a wedding venue it was a no brainer to speak to them. Natalie the coordinator was absolutely amazing and nothing was ever too much to ask. We hired the upstairs and had around 65 guests with the buffet option. The food was great and so many people commented on how good it was. They paid so much attention to detail and we barely noticed them turning the room around after the ceremony. The whole day felt relaxed which is all down to their amazing staff. Also, their rooms are absolutely stunning! Thank you so much to Natalie, Dani and the team for making our wedding day so special.

Called here yesterday on our way back from the coast. Again Dani you and your team excelled. As usual staff, atmosphere and especially the food were excellent. I had the chicken and my wife had the slow cooked brisket and I can’t believe how you can get so much flavour in a dish. We couldn’t even fit a dessert in as we were so full but was disappointed to see Antons textures of chocolate were not on the menu. We have been coming here off and on for years and you never disappoint. You have a wonderful team. We will hopefully call again before the end of the season and thanks again for another wonderful experience.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a wedding at The Farrier, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. The staff were outstanding throughout the entire day. Everything ran so smoothly and it was clear that they genuinely cared about making the day special. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and plentiful. You could tell a lot of thought and attention to detail had gone into it. The atmosphere at The Farrier is something else; it manages to feel both elegant and relaxed at the same time. It created such a lovely environment for everyone to enjoy themselves. All in all, The Farrier was the perfect setting for what was an unforgettable wedding day. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue!

We stayed away from previously going because it is quite expensive. It is not cheap. However, it was my 70th and our friends wedding anniversary, so we decided to push the boat out. From the quality decor to the friendly staff we were very impressed. Then came the food. We had 3 portions of chicken and 1 shepherds pie. It was excellent and dare I say well worth the money. We will be going again. If we can get in!!! Usually fully booked!!!

Beautiful food and surroundings. The food is the best in Scarborough. Perfect pairing with the wine suggested. We had cocktails before in the lovely outside area which was a lovely start to the evening. Highly recommend The Farrier and the setting. The specials Shark was so tasty🥰

What an amazing hotel and restaurant experience. Friendly staff, attention to detail, amazing food and service. We spent two nights at the Ferrier. We ate there one of those nights and had a fantastic experience in the private dining room for my wife’s grandmother’s 80th. Dani, the owner, was very attentive and couldn’t have done anymore to make it a special occasion. At the start of the night she played a novel cartoon projected on to our table - really great touch. The food and wine at dinner and breakfast was outstanding. The rooms are fantastic and cater for your every need. The attention to detail in the rooms and bar/restaurant areas show how Dani and the team go to great lengths to ensure you have memorable stay. One of the best I’ve stayed anywhere

We visited The Farrier to redeem a voucher for their Afternoon Tea. The venue itself is tastefully decorated and has a warm, homely atmosphere. The Afternoon Tea was decent, though there is room for improvement. The sandwiches, while served in generous portions, lacked the neat presentation typically expected, they weren’t clearly cut, which made them feel a little rushed. The scones were excellent, but the accompanying jam was served in a rather small pot; a more generous portion would have been appreciated. As for the cakes, they were fine, though nothing particularly memorable. One detail I’ve found thoughtful at other venues is the inclusion of a small menu card describing the sandwich and cake selection. Unfortunately, The Farrier didn’t provide this, nor did any staff explain what was being served, everything was simply placed on the table without introduction, leaving us to guess. Despite reading glowing reviews about the service, we found it fairly standard. No one really went out of their way to make the experience feel special, it felt much like ordering in a regular restaurant rather than enjoying a curated Afternoon Tea experience. Afternoon Tea is often seen as a treat or an occasion, and this felt a little underwhelming in that respect. A touch more refinement and attention to detail would go a long way. That said, I’ve heard positive things about the main meals at The Farrier, though I can’t personally comment as we only sampled the Afternoon Tea.
