It did take a long time to get my food. We ordered two traditional gyros and fried calamari. The gyros were awesome!! Lots of meat and the tzatziki sauce has a great flavor. My only issue was the bread just slid right off. However the actual calamari was tensioner and tasty. Will go back cause this is the best gyro I’ve found over then when we go to Vegas.

Simply delicious. Authentic no doubt. The owner Nick took great care of us and all other guests of course. You can tell this place is family owned and they care greatly about the quality of the food and your dining experience. The gyro meat is outstanding. So juicy and tender. The pita is soft and I would bet made fresh every day. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. It won’t be your last visit.

This was our first time visiting the fat Greek. The staff was very helpful in helping us to navigate the menu as vegetarians. We loved everything we tried.

I had the lemon chicken with greek potatoes dinner and my husband has the gyro plate. We also had the deep fried string beans and a margarita. Everything was very good. The chicken was really juicy. The negatives were, it was so hot inside the restaurant, it made eating a hot meal difficult and their baklava was really dry. I love baklava, but there wasn't any honey on it. The owners were on hand and were extremely friendly. We recommend this restaurant.

All I can say is that I will travel from LA to Yucaipa for The Fat Greek any time I am in mood for Greek. Amazing and delicious are not enough words to describe how much I love the food here. To top it all off was the amazing service. So much of that home feel and kindness from the server there. If you ever have a chance to stop by, please do. 5/5 Stars: Unforgettable Experience & Huge Flavor in Yucaipa! I stumbled upon The Fat Greek while passing through the city of Yucaipa and I'm so glad I did! This place is easily a five-star experience from start to finish. The delicious food is only matched by the fantastic, personal service. The owner actually took my order and recommended some items, which immediately made me feel welcome. I decided on the Philly Gyro and the Fried Zucchini, and both were amazing. The gyro was massive--huge and absolutely packed with delicious, heavily seasoned meat. Seriously satisfying! The zucchini were fresh, hot, and perfectly crispy, and you have to try the homemade ranch with them; it was also very good. To top it all off, the owner personally met me at the window to thank me for coming. You can genuinely tell how passionate he is about his business. I stopped by on a Saturday night and they even had live music playing outside. It seems like a super fun place to hang out and have a drink. If you are anywhere near the area and want high-quality Greek food, I highly recommend stopping by!

Had a gyro and tzatziki and pita. The gyro was filled with meat and the tzatziki was delicious, fresh, and perfectly spiced. The only complaint I have is not enough onions to balance the silky meat with a fresh crunch of the onion. Additionally, they have a bar which is cool and the bathroom was spotless and clean. Service was great, everyone who helped me was professional and nice.

Let me start with OMG this just took my #1 for my favorite Gyro spot. I ordered the traditional Gyro with French fries. Our lovely server; Elba recommended tring their home made ranch for our French fries and I could not be happier with this recommendation. Im not a big ranch guy but this was some really good ranch. If your in the area don't miss your chance to enjoy this place.

Very good greek food. This place ranks my top 5 all time best greek restaurants. I had the lamb kabob plate. The lamb had a great flavor. No lamb taste. Very fresh food. My husband had the gyro and French fries. The fries were really good. And the house made ranch was really good and I'm not a ranch person. Elba the waitress was super friendly and gave us great service. I definitely recommend and I'll be going back next time I'm passing through.

Wow!! I have not been here in many years. That is no joke. So I saw a picture of the falafel burger. I was instantly hooked on trying it. I have never had falafel before. I am broadening my food horizons. they say people eat with their eyes and with this I actually ate it with my mouth. Man it was good! So it all started when I walked through the door. People were friendly and helpful when ordering. So I ordered the falafel burger to eat there. Then I also ordered hummus with pita bread to go. The falafel burger came out nice and hot. Had cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, with feta, and tzatziki sauce. Altogether, I was really impressed. Especially for something I have never had before. To be honest I would order it again. I'm not a vegetarian as I do love eating meat. Let me tell you though this falafel burger was great. The place definitely looks bigger from the outside, but don't let that fool you as it's nice on the inside. Once I got home I did try the hummus with the pita bread. I got it to go for my lunch tomorrow at work. I did try a little bit and it was really good. I would also order hummus from here again. Thank you very much for a great visit. I definitely will be back.

Finally got to come here! And it did not disappoint! Went on a Monday evening. Great menu and they have a lot to choose from. They also have a full bar. They've got TVs and have a couple with beautiful scenes of Greece. Service was impeccable! I believe it was the owner that helped us and he was great. He had recommendations on what to order. He was also very attentive once he brought us our order to the table. Food was great!! I ordered the traditional gyro and it was delicious. Packed with meat! Great flavor. Comes with a side and went with their Greek salad. The Greek vinaigrette was amazing. I also ordered the Spanikopita. Freshly baked from the oven. Nice crunch and it was just really good. Highly recommend coming here! Will definitely be going back!

The saltiness of the perfectly seasoned meat was tamed by the fresh, crisp, straight-from-Mount-Olympus veggies. Balanced perfection. Now, the Greek fries? Imagine regular fries but with a PhD in deliciousness. And the dolmades--those little wrapped leaves of mystery? This place is so good! Amazing falafel, gyro, Fried Zucchini, everything! My kids love the gyro and the hummus. I live hours away but always stop when passing through.

My friend & I ate an early dinner here. I ordered the gyro burrito and my friend ordered the traditional gyro sandwich. I had realized I ordered and paid for the wrong item, they were able to make the change with the kitchen and gave me cash for the difference! They really went above and beyond for my mix up. Portions were huge and the gyro was flavorful. I couldn't eat all of it, so I took half of it to go. The restaurant was cute with blue booths and the bar had blue back lighting, it really felt like I was on vacation. Haha The staff attentively cleaned tables and checked on tables. Overall a great place to eat!

The Fat Greek is my new favorite!! I have been telling myself to go there for ages!! Finally made it!!! This place has amazing food, not just Greek, they have a variety, smash burgers, salads, chicken etc. DID YOU ALL KNOW THAT THEY HAVE A FULL BAR, WITH HAPPY HOUR??? The food and service is excellent. First time here but now I know where to eat whenever I visit Live Oak Pumpkin Patch. Ambiance is very very good too. Looks humble outside but cool inside.

This is my absolute #1 favorite Greek restaurant in Southern California! The food is fresh, hospitality is top notch and you are made to feel like family! My friend had never had greek food before, it was his very first experience here at The Fat Greek. And now he can't stop talking about it and keeps asking to go back for more! Definitely recommend and worth the drive.

We've lived in Beaumont for over 4 1/2 yrs and had seen signs advertising this place on I-10. Not to mention, numerous times we passed by on Yucaipa Blvd. Finally, dropped in this past Sunday, and what a great dining experience! All 3 in our party were raving about the delicious meal and great customer service from Chris, Elva, and Nick. We'll be back very soon, despite the 20-25 min drive each way. Can't wait!

The Fat Greek is a family-owned business with genuine owners that treat their customers like they are their own family. The lemon chicken was flavorful, fresh, and fall-off-the bone tender. The spicy feta dip had the perfect amount of spice. But what made the food even better was knowing that it was prepared with love and intent to serve by wholesome people. My family and I left with full bellies, smiles on our faces, and warm hearts. We will be back soon!

Was in town recently overnight and wanted some great greek food, so I had lunch here and it was so enjoyable, so good and such great hosts I came back for dinner that evening. Nick and Chris, are great hosts and brothers. This family owned and operated restaurant has been a neighborhood fixture for almost two decades here. Traditional Greece inspired interior, blue and white. Overhead menu boards with daily specials. Walk up counter service. Consistent quality and generous portions and a fair value. I sampled a little bit of everything my two meals there that day. The hummus with pita, excellent. The Dolmades, grape leaves, again excellent, rich and flavorful so good. The lamb, tender and delicious. The greek salad, also freshly prepared, nice greens, rich feta, just a great salad. My husband & I read the reviews and pretty much people are on point as far as quality. I ordered their California Gyro and I absolutely love it. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the avocado was so creamy and added great flavor. I also loved the fries. It compliments the Gyro very well. Now my husband couldn't decide between the traditional Gyro and the Pastrami sandwich so he ordered both. He's also glad that he got both, why? Because they were delicious but also because the Gyros are a bit small. So depending on your appetite just know that one Gyro more than likely not fill you up. It definitely filled me up. So we definitely recommend this place. But if we both had to complain about one thing- it would have to be PRICE. Yeah I know- everything now a days is expensive AF. Yes we give this place 2 thumbs up, but it's not a place (because of the price) we would regularly come to. I mean 2 Gyros & 1 Pastrami sandwich came to like almost $60. No drinks, no appetizers, nothing else.

Finally got around to trying the fat Greek after living in the area for so long. I had the spicy pork gyro and let me just say yum yum. The service was amazing, all employees welcomed us in and walked us through the menu. Very pleased and will come back again

Falafel plate - never had a better falafel than this and I had quite a few. Moussaka was divine as well. Wanted a Mediterranean home feel and got way more than that. I will definitely come back here.

First time here and I'm so glad we stopped! I spotted "The Fat Greek" while setting up for my open house and told my fiancé we had to try it. Afterward, we came by and were warmly greeted by Nick (the owner) and Siran such kind, welcoming people! The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and I can't wait to come back with my family.

The fries were cold and I can tell they were the frozen kind. I waited a 30 mins for a salty Gyro that had hardly any yogurt sauce or tomatoes.

When we phoned at 9 on a Sunday , They were supposed to be closing --- but they said to "come on In " quite enthusiastically, as they were "already busy "on Sunday Evening. So friendly . You could tell the owners were running the joint . And it's easy to see why this place gets such GREAT YELP REVIEWS The OWNERS / (also Greeter/counter order taker/ bartender& servers) had an "Upper East Coast"vibe and made us feel welcomed and appreciated . The Drinks (FULL BAR ) , entrees and desert were all SUPERIOR! Such mild lamb was the star of the show ... but the BAKLAVA CHEESECAKE was a dessert to remember. We will most certainly return to this most Excellent, Restaurant!

The chicken kabob dinner is fantastic! Huge portions and I've never in my life had such tender chicken. Salad, rice, pita and all dressings are so good. The price is a bit shocking but I keep going back because the food is so good and the employees are very nice.

Stopped by because we were driving by and let's just say thank god we did! Hands down best experience I've had at a "drive through" restaurant. Chis has amazing hospitality and the food is to die for. Will definitely be back !!

The Fat Greek is a delightful find. The regular stream of customers - even between lunch and dinner - is a testimony to how good the food is. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Lamb Chop dinner. I had the chicken gyro, but it was a bit salty for my taste. Get a menu and order at the bar. There aren't too many wait staff, so we went up to the bar for different requests and questions. There are big TVs on the walls, running videos of scenery from Greece. Totally adds to the feels. It was beautiful during sunset as the sun shone through the window.

Food was super delicious. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The service was great. Nick is super friendly and made the experience even better. The orange cake was to die for as well as the cheesecake baklava! Will definitely be back whenever we're back in the area.

My wife got the chicken skewer dinner served with a Greek salad, rice, warm pita bread and tzatziki sauce. I ordered the gyro dinner with the same sides. Everything was delicious!! This is restaurant has some of the best gyros I've ever tried . Also the beef Shwarma burrito is so big and packed with flavor!! Service is always great the owner is here most of the time and he's a super nice person. Family vibe you can bring your kids here! Service is excellent. Every staff member appeared to be genuinely nice. Food: Ordered traditional gyro and fries. Four other patrons in the restaurant. Waiting 30 min for gyro and fries at 7 p.m. dining in. Fries were an assortment of criss-cut fries and regular fries but mostly crumbs, over salted, uneven random cold pieces of the stuff u deep fry from a frozen bag. Shawarma was very salty. And i have no idea why there was an extreme mount of grease literally pouring out of my gyro. So much so that it dripped all over my jeans as i was eating. Comes with a tiny dab of old onion and yogurt mix-tomato pieces poured on top of a load of greasy shawarma. Not sure how hard it is to mess up fries and a gyro but definitely wont be coming back. Yes, small business family owned that i would definitely support over the chains but if you're not even going to care about serving pricey french fries right, why would i come back?

So this is my first time trying them out. I tired the Lamb Gyro combo and man it was delicious. Chris's service was extremely well mannered. It was a nice small family owned business. Spectacularly legit Greek food. From the moment you walk through the door you are embraced by the glorious smell. We stopped in at The Fat Greek on our way home from Joshua Tree from seeing their billboard off of the freeway. We're so glad we made the pit stop. Nick, the owner was so welcoming and takes lots of pride in his food and service. All herbs and spices are grown onsite and everything is homemade. Amazing food! Update on my review 2 minutes later...after taking a bite of my chicken gyro, we just walked back in to order 4 more to go! Sooo good!!!
