"Drove Past This Yucaipa Gem for Years: Big Mistake.
The Fat Greek Might Be the Best Meal You Haven’t Had Yet!
We’ve driven past The Fat Greek in Yucaipa for years. And let me just say it straight: that was a big mistake. Because the moment we finally stopped in, it felt like we stepped out of California... and straight into a little slice of Greece.
From the second we walked through the door, Nick, the owner, welcomed us like family.
Warm smile, handshake, and a backstory on the restaurant that made us feel like we were part of something special.
He gave us the lowdown on their killer happy hour (you don’t want to miss it) and walked us through the menu with a passion that only comes from someone who lives and breathes hospitality.
We ordered the lemon chicken dinner with the Greek salad (large size), and folks... it was to die for. The chicken was juicy, lemony perfection, and that salad? Crisp, fresh, and absolutely loaded with flavor. Every bite transported us to the Aegean coast.
And then came the surprise: our first Greek beer, Mythos. Light, refreshing, and exactly what we needed on a scorching summer day. If you’ve never had it, trust us—this is the new drink of summer.
The bar? Beautiful. Three big HD TVs streaming footage of Greece’s coastline (pure ambiance), and three more TVs across the way for you die-hard sports fans. Whether you're there for a Euro-style escape or a place to catch the game, you’re covered.
Decor-wise, The Fat Greek isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a time machine. The walls, the lighting, the vibe, it all whispers “opa!” in the best way possible. You don’t just eat here... you experience it.
Bottom line: we found our new hangout. If you’ve been driving past this hidden gem like we used to, do yourself a favor—STOP.
Go inside. Order something amazing. Sip a Mythos. And when you see Nick, tell him Carlos and Liz sent you.
We’ll be back—probably before you finish reading this.
🍽️🇬🇷 Cheers to great food, great people, and discovering magic in your own backyard.
