One would think a Saturday night would cause a place like The Fat Ham to be busy, but I was the only one there when I walked in at 10:25PM. I know I know.. What a jerk for going to a place and ordering food so late. That time kind of deserves a response like that, but it's not like it was 10:45PM or something, and to be fair, I asked if I should even sit down because I've worked at a restaurant before and I know it is a pain for that one person to come in so late, kind of late. I was creating the space for honesty. He said to have a seat. I should have turned away when I had the chance. I felt like everything I was eating was the left overs from the day. Which, again, I don't mind that, like I mentioned, I've worked at a restaurant before. But what gets me is for a place claiming to be Southern, there was not an ounce of southern hospitality during my whole time there, what I mean is the service was poor, dry and non-exist. If you guys didn't want me there you should have just said so actively when I asked if I should take a seat rather than locking up the chairs outside and all the rest you when when you close down a restaurant I wanted to sit out there with a drink too. It was just awkward and I wish I didn't go there, which is not how you are suppose to feel when leaving a restaurant. And...I live in the south and I didn't get "Southern" food, but this critique is more about the service than its food.
