"I learned that James Beard–winning chef Zak Pelaccio will resurrect his original restaurant Fatty Crab for a three-day event in Hudson dubbed “Fattober.” Fatty Crab, the foundation of Pelaccio’s Fatty empire and known for Southeast Asian cuisine, shuttered between 2014 and 2016 but will return October 5–7 with its menu at Pelaccio’s cocktail bar BackBar; tickets are available on Resy for $50." - Carla Vianna

The atmosphere and the servers were absolutely a vibe. Especially Richard and Micky, they were so friendly and funny. Definitely brings the party to any room they enter. They made us feel so welcome!! They were constantly making jokes throughout our dining experience. They even played a bday song in Chinese and danced the whole time. I recommend this place to dine for everyone! Definitely get the triple garlic butter sauce for your seafood boil 😍

After we arrived back from our cruise in Miami, we wanted some amazing seafood. We got just that from Fatty Crabs. We live in SC so we know what great seafood taste like. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that want great seafood in Miami. Also big shout out to our server Lucas, he was amazing as well. These days it's hard to find great seafood, great price and with great service. However, we received excellent service and great food at Fatty Crabs. If you are in Miami, stop by and check them out. Also they play a variety of music. Something for everyone. Thank you Fatty Crabs for a great ending to our vacation.

Google
We had a great experience thanks to Richard and Mickie! They were so amazing and made our experience for my first time in Miami so great after a stressful day! The food was absolutely great! Food also came out pretty fast! Love the staff! We will definitely be coming back the next time I come back to Miami! Well worth the visit! 😊

Kischa J.

Google
I would like to thank Mo and the team for their amazing service. It was our last stop in Miami before heading back home. The food was delectable! And the sauce, definitely a crowd pleaser. Thank you to the manager as well, just for the small interaction that he made, we could sense he was genuine and that the staff was under no stress whatsoever. Keri doing what you’re doing at The Fatty Crab. I hope to return to Miami real soon, so I can indulge in the seafood boil once again 🤭😅

Google
First time here. Mickey was great. Food was awesome. I would prefer to chose my own tip amount, which would have been more than 18% and just rounded up, but it was done for me. So, I didn’t confuse myself I left it. All in all we would come back.

Google
I came for my birthday and the food was phenomenal and Jessica (our server) really made my night special she helped me choose everything from the drinks to the food choices (I’m indecisive when I’m ready) so that kept me stress free! I’m definitely coming back, the music is great and we can on a Saturday evening! Yes they sing happy birthday lol!

2nd Review: I came again to The Fatty Crab and our server was Jessica. She was so attentive and super kind. We can tell she was doing her best to make us feel welcome and satisfied during our time here. Thank you so much Jessica for your amazing service! We did all-you-can-eat brunch and it was so worth it. The crispy shrimp was so good and I also liked the mac and cheese. The shrimp po-boy was also yummy. I loved the lychee lemonade! Definitely worth coming here during that time. 1st Review: The service was great 🌟 Damian was an attentive and nice server. However, we were a group of 3 but noticed they incorrectly put it as a group of 8, which forced an 18% gratuity. Also, I’ve had better quality seafood and the seasoning was lacking. If they ask to take your picture, only say yes if you’re okay with paying $20 per photo—otherwise just say no. Overall though, the experience was enjoyable and I liked the atmosphere with the music and customers dancing ✨

Google
I’ve been to this fatty crab almost 5 times and this was the first time that I have heard of Richard. Let me tell you, Richard deserves a race. He is super funny. Makes the atmosphere so much more fun. The music is amazing. Good job to the DJ. The way that Richard introduced. The crew was phenomenal. I wish I would’ve had stayed to see him sing but Richard keep doing what you’re doing. You’re doing phenomenal again love the fact that you had me laughing with the things that you were saying. definitely check it out. The seafood boil is always on point.

Yelp
Great experience! Richie and Michie were amazing!!!! We went for a friends birthday and they made it very special, brought out music and made it a great celebration! Food was great!

Yelp
I was a bit hesitant to have Cajun food but actually really loved it! We showed up late so we just ordered small plates like the Cajun fried shrimp and catfish sandwich. It was delicious! The music was a bit loud and only got louder! It also changed from hip hop to Latin, then a mariachi band! Very exciting! Someone was celebrating a birthday! The service was excellent with very polite staff. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. I would come back!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was perfectly spicy & delicious! I had pound of crawfish & 1/2 lbs headless shrimp in cajun hot sauce & it was perfect! Miki, our server, was spectacular!! She was delightful, friendly, funny, & attentive. Overall atmosphere of the place feels welcoming, lively, perfectly partitioned; however, the music was a bit too loud for an easy lunch (however huge meal I ate ). Overall, I highly recommend The Fatty Crab! P.S. Parking super easy as they have shared parking lot in mini mall...plenty of spaces!

Yelp
I've seen advertisements for Fatty Crab and its seemingly omnipresence's on Social Media and was excited about trying this Cajun/Creole place. Will it remind me of home......insert thinking emoji. The place is a nice size and they have definitely taken lessons from those popular joints in my neck of the woods. I met some friends here after work with a couple of their little ones. It was one of the ladies birthday (not actual birthday but she celebrates the entire month) The menu is expansive and there are some items you don't expect to find here in South Florida like Frog Legs and Corn Ribs. Surprising indeed. The offerings are everything from standard seafood boils, soups, Beignets to pasta and rice dishes. We ordered a variety of items for the table and Chicken Fingers for one of the kids Fried Shrimp and myself, mi amiga and one of the other kid ordered Boils we all ordered different Boils, Snow Crabs, Mussels/Crawfish, Mussels/Shrimp. We all got the combination spicy sauce, even the little one. My mussels and crawfish were good the sauce was pretty decent. I tasted something from all the Seafood Boils and the seafood was cooked perfectly. The Frog Legs were also cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Corn was good as well. The service was good even though our waiter was training, he did a good job. The manager came over a couple of times and participated in our shenanigans. A great time was had by all even the little ones enjoyed themselves.

Yelp
Staff were friendly. Food was okay. Gumbo was bland and missing the authentic gumbo flavor. The fried shrimp were tasty. Drinks on point.

Yelp
Amazing Seafood Boil!! We came on a Tuesday so they had the AYCE option for $25. We ordered the: -fried calamari -fried catfish -seafood boil: shrimp, clam, crawfish in dynamite sauce. The sauce is SO SO GOOOODD. Our server Anita was so quick and super nice. I will definitely come back when we are in the area again. It is a family owned restaurant. One of the members came by all the tables and thanked us for dining and choosing them. I loved this!!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Doral and the Cajun cuisine is definitely tops. The flavors are authentic and delicious, and the portions are generous. The dining area is clean, well organized, and wonderfully decorated. The ambiance is lively with great music selection. The cocktails are creative and mixed perfectly. The best part is the staff and the service. Everyone is friendly and happy. Miki, who took care of us was simply amazing. She made great suggestions and was always available to make sure we had a great experience. I highly recommend the Fatty Crab for a great time and a truly wonderful meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Went for the Sunday AYCE brunch deal, and it was very delicious! There was great r&b throwback music playing, which I thoroughly enjoyed The food was top-notch, I ate as much snow crabs as I could physically eat. The dynamite sauce is always my go-to. Service was great even considering the busy volume during the day, always making sure our orders were entered and food came with reasonable wait times. Highly recommend coming here for brunch!
google avatar

Christie J.

Yelp
Great food, ambience and amazing service from Jessica! Will be back soon! And great music from the DJ!

Yelp
My family loves a crab boil, today we decided to venture to Doral to try this location that has been popping up on my husband's instagram. We walked in and were greeted by some music. We weren't expecting this party brunch but since we drove out we figured we would try it. The music was pretty loud but they had some good tunes. We ordered a crab boil package and some garlic mussels for my kid. Food came out pretty quick. I liked that their boil came with 3 snow crab clusters vs the 2 I normally see places gives. We enjoyed the boil, I think we prefer the seasoning at the place by our house just a little more. Even with it being a busy brunch the staff was attentive and I was asked by multiple people if anything was needed. If looking for a place to enjoy music and some food- stop in!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to celebrate one of my friends birthday and the food was pretty amazing. The lobster Mac and cheese is fire with the garlic toast it was a nice touch. The gumbo soup was pretty good and very tasty and spices were perfect. A great way to start your meal. The crabs and mussels were awesome and the dipping sauces were super fire. The waiter was good and very attentive. He got the stuff of what we need right away. The environment was great and cozy.
google avatar

Christina B.

Yelp
This place was not worth the money. Only good part was the waitress super friendly. Would not recommend on a bad day. Seafood tasted old and over cooked.
google avatar

Stacey G.

Yelp
I personally didn't like this place it really lacked in flavor but I guess because of the price. I was invited here the person thought it would be different because of what was shown on instagram but the marketing team of definitely doing a good job at brining people in but then disappointing them. I wouldn't really expect much for the price but in general I wouldn't come back here even for the price. They show a special sauce apparently that you have to ask for even though they show that. Also they brought us the bins and other items after we got our seafood boil. We got our appetizers after and I did like my lychee martini. That was about it. I definitely will not be back.
google avatar

Liza G.

Yelp
All you can eat for $39.99! I'm not a seafood person, but the other 14 people I was with definitely were. Luckily for me, they offer plenty of other dishes and sides that aren't seafood. FYI-- To do the all you can eat deal, everyone at your table has to participate. You can only order three dishes at a time, so for my first round, I went with the chicken tenders (3 pieces), corn ribs (4 pieces), and chicken pesto pasta. The portions were on the smaller side, which I actually appreciated--it made it easier to try more things. Overall, the food was pretty decent, but I know the real stars of the show were the seafood boils! The vibe here is high-energy and loud (they had a DJ), and the service was great. They also have a drink special: 2 drinks for $22.

Yelp
Check out Fatty Crab over in Doral. The food was reasonably priced, the service was good, and the music was amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was really tasty and there were many options. The service from Miki was great. She was really sweet and attentive. The music and atmosphere was also relaxing and fun.

Yelp
We had the best time here and it was all thanks to Alless and the amazing food! Alless was so friendly right from the start and gave us amazing recommendations that ended up being spot on. What really stood out is how she went out of her way to connect with us. Even though we are visiting from Los Angeles, she made us feel like locals and totally at home. She was super attentive without ever hovering, always checking in at just the right moment. It honestly felt like she was just as excited for us to have a good time as we were. That kind of energy makes such a difference and really set the tone for the whole night. We cannot wait to come back on our next trip. Alless made my partner's birthday celebration extra special and we are so grateful. Thank you Alless for making it a night we will always remember!

Yelp
My Instagram algorithm must love The Fatty Crab, because I kept seeing posts about their Endless Cajun Tuesdays. I was excited that my friend and I finally got to check it out this week...and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! For only $25 per person, we each got to select three appetizers at a time from such options as Cajun fried chicken wings, fried calamari, Cajun crispy shrimp, shrimp mac and cheese, fried shrimp po boy, and more. It also included a seafood boil with a choice of shrimp, crawfish, clams, and mussels. We decided to upgrade and add snow crab legs for an additional $15 steamed with their signature spicy dynamite sauce. The portions were plentiful, including the seafood boil, which was about 2lbs for each of us. We washed it down with their 2 for $22 cocktails. I ordered the Sidepiece, which came with Hennessy, Cointreau, and fresh lemon juice. My friend ordered the Deja Vu, which came with Tito's vodka, coconut cream, passion fruit syrup, lychee puree, and lime juice. Honestly, if it wasn't for the two hour time limit, and the fact we both got so full, we could've been there all day eating seafood, enjoying the drinks and vibing to the music. I removed a star because I found their service to be very slow. We requested hot butter to go with our crab legs. By the time they finally brought it to us, we were about finished with our meal. There is plenty of free parking in this shopping plaza. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
The seafood boil was delicious and the vibe was a lot of fun with the dj playing music and everyone dancing. Jessica was awesome and never left our plate empty. Thanks for a good time!

Yelp
On the night the Heat plays a game, Fatty Crab Doral has an amazing Heat Special: a shrimp boil for just $15 and two-for-one drinks! I decided to try the shrimp boil along with the garlic fried crab platter, and I have to say, my food was excellent--absolutely yummy! The crab was fried to perfection and seasoned just right, while the shrimp boil was delicious. I opted for the combination seasoning with mild heat, and it was a solid 10 out of 10! However, I did try the Hurricane cocktail, which was pretty but unfortunately too sweet for my liking. All I could taste was syrup, and it felt like a pre-made drink with alcohol added on top. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back for more!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the Alaskan crab sauce was On point. My daughters loved the fried chicken rice because they don't like seafood and they thought it was excellent for sure. Will come back for happy hour. Heard the pricing is a lot cheaper.

Yelp
The Fatty Crab The food at The Fatty Crab was great! Tasty - FAVORFUL! The team were very nice, atmosphere was great and I believe the butter sauce can go on anything ! My order: 2LB Snow Crab Legs & Cajun Fried Chicken Wings The atmosphere: Friendly, inviting and the staff were great. My Review: The food was great. It was the butter sauce for me and the crabs were SOO GOOD and clean! The wings were ok. This place is must try! Make sure you ask for some of the butter sauce to go.. Enjoy and thank me later! Overall Score: 9/10

Yelp
We visited Fatty Crab on a Friday night around 6:30pm. Got seated right away. The decor and ambiance were bright and fun, many instagrammable worthy backdrops, and a nice vibe! Dashle, our waitress, was polite. We ordered the seafood boil, chicken wings, and fried calamari. Everything was delicious, but the calamari? Hands down the best I've ever tasted. It was not over breaded and with nice juicy pieces of calamari rings. We'll definitely be back! Check them out!
google avatar

Yelp
Food delicioso , service with Mickey was great . I Will come back to see her ,all the family was very satisfied with these place.

Nubielena M.

Yelp
Every visit is better than the last. This evening we came on a Friday night. the ambience was awesome. The food, delicious. What makes this place great is the service. Miki is so good at what she does. She makes you feel special and always has a nice comment and a smoke to share. We will keep coming back. Highly recommend the Fatty Crab. Make sure you visit because you'll have a great experience.

Janiece J.

Yelp
Good food and our server, Jessica was great! The spclicy margarita was also delicious. We had the crab, mussels, and shrimp combo with lemon pepper sauce.
google avatar

Alvaro H.

Yelp
Let's talk about it. Came by for happy hour--$7 Space Dust and tequila? Wild deal, best in town. Brunch though? Big flop. Everything's fried, tastes the same - one note. Shrimp boil = just shrimp. No potatoes, sausage or eggs. Cheap @ $39, but not worth it.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Came here on a TUESDAY from out of town and this was the first stop I made right after landing!! AYCE seafood boil on a Tuesday for only $25, ADD AYCE CRAB FOR ONLY $15?! YES PLEASE BC I'D BE A FOOL TO MISS THAT! AYCD Hurricanes for only $25 or 2 for $22 Drinks is a deal in my book. Everything was so saucy and fresh! So much so I got a separate TOGO and took it all the way back home to the Bay Area for my kids to eat!!! Finally the ladies/ staff were sooo lovely and great!! When I visit again, I'm definitely stopping by!!
google avatar

Magda L.

Yelp
Took my son here for his birthday since it was his pick, and I have to say--it did not disappoint! I've been to a few crab boil spots, and this one actually ranks pretty high. The seafood was fresh, the seasoning hit just right, and everything we tried was delicious. The atmosphere, though, was a bit chaotic. I think I caught them during brunch, and the music was really loud, which made the vibe a little hectic. It leaned toward the "ghetto fabulous" side, but hey, sometimes that's part of the charm, right? All in all, if you're looking for flavorful seafood and can handle a lively scene, Fatty Crab is a solid choice. My son had a blast, and the food was great.
google avatar

Denisse Q.

Yelp
I was told on Tuesdays they have an all you can eat special for $25, so my fiancé and I went to give it a try. If you want to eat crabs there's an up charge of $18 for snow crabs and $19 for Dungeness crabs. You get 2 hours to eat your heart out. Unfortunately, that's not the kind of fun I had. I'm not sure if they take long to try to control what you eat, or if they are not properly staffed for the volume of people they get. It was also our servers first day, so I can understand the slow service, but you would think that management would be on top of tables assisting in whatever way they could. A few times we asked for items and didn't get them or had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for it. We had to keep asking for water refills because there was just no attention to the table . Our server kept repeating it was her first day, but again it was poor judgment on managements part to not staff correctly. The vibe is alright. The music got better as the night progressed which was nice. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and filthy. They could definitely put more attention to that.
google avatar

Mona E.

Yelp
I ordered from here on Uber eats and was not super impressed. Their seafood boil sauce were pretty bland, which was disappointing considering it was called "dynamite sauce". We also got the pasta shrimp and Cajun chicken pasta which was pretty good, but again missing some flavor. The lemonade was good, but at $6.50, I think I will have to pass next time. My favorite part of my order is that they had fireman derek key like pie (at $13.50 a slice though!)
google avatar

Liz G.

Yelp
In case you ever need to eat 10 lobster tails and then sleep 12 hours this is the perfect place for brunch. I came with a friend and we sat at the bar and went to town on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The place is a little rowdy and loud as the dj plays mostly hip hop...and the crowd is a bit... rough around the edges, but the staff is really nice and attentive. And overall it's a solid spot for a seafood boil brunch at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Natasha T.

Yelp
Check this place out for brunch with my family. We got there around 1 PM and there was no wait to be seated. The restaurant is big and nice environment. They had a DJ and she was playing all of the hits! The brunch is a $39 All you can eat special. If you want to add lobster tail or crab legs, there's an additional fee. Still reasonably priced. All of the seafood was good. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the taste of the gumbo and the calamari was not very hot both times I ordered it. For drinks, they have unlimited mimosas, unlimited hurricanes and other Specialty drinks. Our party of four had a great time and we would return again next time we're in the area.
google avatar

Jordan P.

Yelp
The place was so good. We went for a friends birthday and it was a good price and the 1lb snow crab I got was full of meat. I was very happy. The drink we got was the swamp water bowl (comes in a pitcher) shared that between 2 of us and it was really good. The service was great. Our service was definitely attentive and very nice. Parking was easy peasy. The ambiance was good. The music they were playing that night was old rnb. Had a really good time here. I'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Supawat J.

Yelp
This is the heaven for all seafood loves!. We went there for Endless Cajun Tuesday for $25 per person. It's amazing. The food is fresh, not salty at all. We tried all 4 sauce. I love my original garlic butter sauce.. We ordered 3 items at at a time. We finished 1 order of chicken wings, 3 orders of Cajun Catfish, fried calamaries ,Cajun Crispy shrimps. and 4 different Cajun boils ( 2 for both of us). They gave us lots of food, next time we will take only 2 boil for both of us. Our waitress is very friendly as well as other staffs. Brunch is also available during the weekend as well, we may try that in the future.
google avatar

Sable S.

Yelp
The fatty crab is the place I take all my and friends when they come to visit. Let's start with the vibe because it only gets better after that. The DJ keeps the vibe flowing with all my favorite songs from my adolescence and early 20s. I can't help but burn the calories while I'm eating. On to the food. I haven't had a bad thing yet. Their all you can eat menu lets me try everything and get full before my choice of boil. The boil never disappoints!!! I am keen on the shrimp and lobster boil. Yummmmm! With the original garlic butter! The drinks are amazing! I always get the bottomless mimosas and a few shots in between. The service...honestly, may be the best part. Tasha, Emily, Nisha, Scarlet, and AP ARE THE BEST! I make sure I support these hard working ladies. Make sure you take care of them. Returning at every chance I can!
google avatar

Yelp
Catfish food it doesn't look the same online than in person the shrimp is dirty with poop in the tail
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Definitely good quality of food customer service as well. Saturdays is a blast. If I had something bad to say about it is the drinks. They are so weak very pretty looking but the drinks on the menu try most of them it's just not worth it to drink there, but the vibe is awesome
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
Came here for brunch. Our server misha was awesome! Very nice very attentive. Decided to do the bottomless brunch $39 pp. added on the bottomless hurricanes for $25 pp. in my opinion the bottomless hurricanes weren't worth it. They were hyped up to be strong but they tasted like pineapple juice. I'm not sure if it's because they were premade which I get for the purpose of time. We debated if we would only drink the one and get another drink but the price difference of adding another drink or just continuing the bottomless made no big difference. But I had about 4 and no buzz, Next time I'll just stick to water. For the bottomless brunch they bring out 3 items at a time: The shrimp mac and cheese wasn't memorable. Watery with 2 huge shrimps thrown in. Shrimp po boy and crispy Cajun shrimp were good but you have to ask for the Cajun sauce on the side. Wings were good. Least favorite was the corn ribs. Severely overcooked. The seafood boils were on point. Food does take a while to come out though and I think it was fair to be charged $12 for snowcrab add on Sat outside but inside seemed cutely decorated. The DJ definitely had a good playlist going which created a good vibe. Basic hookah is $30 and it hit! Cash or cash app only though as it's a separate charge from your bill

Yelp
My husband and I were in Miami for our honeymoon for a couple of days and wanted to come here to have some seafood boil. We weren't disappointed! It wasn't busy at all and our server was so friendly! Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Friendly staff, very nice atmosphere and delicious crabs Worth the trip and very affordable! Will be back

Wanda B.

Yelp
The seafood is so fresh and the sauces are unique and flavorful. The service by Mickie was superb as she was so attentive and caring. The dessert is fresh and the key lime pie is authentic!
google avatar

Lacion X.

Yelp
The food was good, the place was busy. I was pleasantly surprised when the bartender let us know everything on the menu was $25 all you can eat and I asked her multiple times for clarity in pure disbelief I could get all I could eat for $25 and I saw that to add crab legs was an additional $18 and when I asked her she emphasized it was all you can eat for $25. When the bill came and I saw the added $18 on top of the $25 dollars she said it was a misunderstanding. It should have never been a misunderstanding when I asked multiple times. And instead of making it right she just said sorry. Sorry is cool but I wasn't expecting to pay for that. I already had my budget in mind. Had I known it was going to be more for the crab legs then I would've just got something else. Corn and potatoes were additional. To improve, the service should be more clear and patient.

Ronesha J.

Yelp
My friend and I were in Miami for a concert and decided to try this place after seeing it advertised on social media. Plenty of parking, we were able to walk in and get seated right away. They have a full bar and the drinks were well made. Service was good. We got two orders of the crab fried rice plus fried catfish basket. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The crab fried rice is a nice portion size, we probably could have split it. The only thing was the bathrooms were not clean or completely functional (no soap or paper towels ). I would visit again if in the area.

Amanda E.

Yelp
i loved the service and the food We will come more often and thank you for giving us a nice lunch

David-Delray R.

Yelp
first time having fatty crab and it was awesome.. go for the ramen and garlic bread as options. mickey was awesome. can't wait to be back. sooooo yummy!!!! see you on the weekend.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed The Fatty Crab--parking is free. The server was incredible, stayed attentive to our table and the many tables she was supporting. I went on a Friday, and they had live DJ music, which was a nice touch (the songs were awesome). My only suggestion would be to lower the volume occasionally so diners can have conversations more comfortably. The food was excellent. *Customize your own boil and you can share between 2 or 3 people. The Dungeness crab was my favorite part of the boil that we customized. (And we decided on the 'dynamite' sauce.) *The beignets were doughy and soft (similar to the middle of an 'elephant ear'), and I appreciated that they were not drenched in powdered sugar. *Frog Legs - I did not try these but my siblings loved them. I would recommend the Fatty Crab to anyone!

I visited tonight (June 15th) and I had a decent experience. When I arrived I surprised the host asked if I made reservations. The second surprise was now they add an automatic 18% gratuity. It was a little busy but the server was friendly but a little forgetful. She forgot the potatoes in my boil and I overheard a few things she forgot at tables nearby. But overall she was a good server and ended up making sure we received the missing items. The food was nice and fresh. I tried their watermelon homemade lemonade and it was amazing. I should've gotten one to go. The music was nice and was played at the right sound level. I sat outside which is where I like to sit when I am here and they have rearranged the seating in a less crowded way so it didn't seem as crowded as the last time I came.
