The Federal

I recently held my "Shedding Old Skin to Begin Again" workshop at this venue, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. From the very beginning, the staff was incredibly communicative, providing clear directions and support throughout the process. They took the time to meet with me initially to show me the space, answering every question I had and offering a variety of options to suit my needs. The contracts and guidelines were delivered in a timely manner, which made planning much smoother. The venue itself was impeccably clean and well-organized, creating a welcoming atmosphere for my participants. Overall, I highly recommend this venue for any workshop or event—it's a fantastic choice!

The venue really speaks for itself. It's a gorgeous historic venue with beautiful natural light pouring in through all the windows. We felt like we barely needed to decorate the space as it was already so pretty. It easily accommodated our approximately 80 guests with separate rooms for bartending, food buffet, dance floor/dining room, and welcome space. As bride and groom we got our own private space to retire to (complete with chairs, couch, full length mirror, and mini fridge) when we needed a break and we had our own private bathroom. We were able to set up the day before and have early access to the venue the day of. Ashley was available for a quick chat a few times before our wedding date and was at the venue the whole time during our event. She even did a walkthrough in the space before our wedding date which was very helpful for decor ideas and planning the layout. She was there to assist the wedding planner and even did some event coordination herself which we are endlessly grateful for. There were a few staffing changes since we had started planning our wedding (about a year in advance) which made it confusing sometimes to know who our point of contact was but their client portal made it easy to communicate with staff quickly. Their packages are pricey but they help with set up, teardown, coordination, taking trash out, stocking bathrooms, and keeping things running on time. The Federal was our dream venue so we definitely thought the price was worth it. Thanks to everyone at The Federal who helped make our day so special!

The venue was a historical building that I had never visited. Upon reaching the second floor via a stairway, we were shown our seats and immediately saw the multitudes of (electronic) candles lining the walls and in front of the stage area. Soon, the string quartet came out and started playing. The music was immediately identifiable and was played beautifully. The entire performance lasted just under an hour and it felt to be just the right length. I would attend again.

What a beautiful, intimate venue. We attended the Christmas concert with violins and viola. Just beautiful and just the right length. Chairs are hard so if anyone has back issues, they should bring a cushion.

Musicians were incredible! The facility was uncomfortable and extremely warm. It was lovely with candles, but it was way too warm. The Musicians were delightful, personable, and for the music, we would highly recommend this experience.

Beautiful arrangements of traditional holiday favorites with a personal touch from musicians sharing historical and individual anecdotes. Fabulous experience! ☺️👌🏻✨️

The best "small" amount of money, you'll spend for such a great time!!! Come in costume, or one of your favorite Edgar Allan Poe stories. The acting and performance of the written word was outstanding!!! The history, not to mention you can't get four cocktails for that amount of money. You guys, really, really, hit it out of the park. If you're thinking about going go!!! The audience enthusiasm and participation made the evening. Thank you for something out of the box, out of the ordinary and just outstanding in such a value. And these times, it was nice to not think about the world and what's going on. It was lovely, 🏵️ to just stay in the moment, with you all! 💞

We enjoyed hosting an ice cream social at the Federal in August 2024, as a fundraiser for the Savage for Judge campaign. The Federal is a beautiful venue, and as a former federal courthouse, it was a great fit for a judicial campaign event. Allison and her staff supported our team well, and our guests complimented the space. Unfortunately, the building's elevator was temporarily broken when our event occurred (a problem outside of the control of The Federal), which limited some people's participation. We appreciate all the staff did to take care of us. We're grateful that this space has been renovated for a new purpose in our community!
