"Part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, this property weaves in plenty of scholarly references among its colourful décor. Many of the rooms are apartment-style, with most featuring a full kitchen—ideal if you’re staying for a while." - Aashna Gajra

The Fellows House Cambridge, Curio Collection by Hilton (Cambridge, UK) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"University-adjacent hotels are often a bit too reserved to express themselves aesthetically, but Fellows House is enthusiastic about its neighbor, the University of Cambridge — this apartment-style hotel features boutique-hotel good looks and is filled to the brim with references to the long and colorful history of this venerable university town. Rooms, studios, and apartments are named for the likes of Kipling, Blake, and Alan Turing, and while they’ve almost all got full kitchens, Fellows House is justifiably proud of its food and beverage offerings, which include Folio Kitchen, the Folio Bar, and a café called The Sage of Cambridge." - Tablet Hotels

An excellent hotel about a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of the city. Check in is at 4pm which is clearly very late but when we got there early at 11am they offered us an early check in for £30 which we thought was very reasonable. Parking is in a secure gated underground car park and costs £24 for 24 hours which is slightly cheaper than public car parks. The welcome at reception was very friendly though we were not informed about the facilities. The room was very large (we had the duplex suite) and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. It was very clean. The shower was hot and had excellent water pressure. Breakfast was very comprehensive and there was an egg station for omelettes, poached or scrambled eggs(although eggs Benedict was chargeable). All in all a great stay and I would highly recommend a stay here.

I stayed at The Fellows House Cambridge for nine nights (the whole of last week and half of this week), and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and far below the expected standard for a Hilton Curio Collection hotel. 🧹 Housekeeping and Cleanliness (Major Issue) The cleanliness of my room was unacceptable, especially concerning dust and hygiene: Excessive Dust: There was a visible layer of dust on virtually every surface. If you suffer from allergies, I strongly advise caution, as the dust under the bed appeared to be accumulated years. Dirty Floors: The floor was visibly dirty and was clearly not hoovered during my entire stay. Daily Service Failure: The room was supposed to be cleaned daily, but service was repeatedly missed. When I inquired at reception, the staff attempted to gaslight me, claiming the issue was my fault because I had pressed the "Do Not Disturb" button—which I absolutely did not. I had to call the front desk every single day to request basic room cleaning. 🍽️ Poor Customer Service at The Folio Bar The staff at The Folio were consistently unfriendly and unprofessional, making customers feel like an inconvenienc. I ordered a quiche and politely asked for it to be warmed up. The staff member rudely asked, "Don't you have a microwave in your room?" He insisted I must have one, forcing me to repeatedly state that I did not. He finally complied, but his attitude was hostile. On another visit, the same staff member came in late and saw me waiting at the bar to be served. He finished serving the customer ahead of me and even engaged in casual conversation with me, saying, "Oh, I remember you." After waiting for approximately 10 minutes while he tidied up, he finally approached me and simply announced, "We are closed!" He clearly saw me waiting the entire time, spoke to me, and yet only told me they were closed after making me wait, sending me away empty-handed. Conclusion: This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The combination of unacceptable cleanliness and hostile customer service made my stay extremely stressful.

We stayed at the Fellows House in mid October when we visited our daughter in Cambridge. I was quite surprised seeing big rooms with kitchenette area. The breakfast in the morning was a big spread with lots of fresh and cooked options. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and friendly. To sum up...we had a wonderful and comfortable stay at the Fellows House. Our family and friends are gathering again this week at the hotel for a reunion and reception of a family wedding. Full 5-Stars to The Fellows House!

Check in staff, very friendly and courteous. Impeccable service. We were assisted by Ms Cecille (maraming salamat po). Room, comfortable & quiet. We all had excellent sleep every night. The mattress, ohhh la la, so so nice and comfortable. Shower: good pressure and hot water was hot. Didn’t like the smell of the water in Cambridge (beyond the hotel jurisdiction, too hard water). Parking rate is steep but is so everywhere else in Cambridge. Shaded underground and secure car park. Space is a bit tight, beware. Reverse park slowly. Housekeeping staff, very helpful. We opted out but got fresh towels everyday. Laundry, a life saver for us. Thanks. Salamat Po. Dryers didn’t work when we checked in but they got fixed the next day. 4 washers and 4 dryers. Bring own detergent. Time it and get our things out of the machines on time, so others can use them. Courtesy!!! Several shops nearby, an Indian, Chinese food and a co-op (3-5min walk). Also a Hungarian restaurant. Short walk to Jesus Green (7-8min walk). Gym and swimming pool are there. Didn’t use, cannot comment. We will def return to stay and wholeheartedly recommend to others. The management has got a very good team (TQ po).

We had been straying here many to tomes. We are very disappointed with the services. We have reminded them more than 3 times to clean up our rooms. We had activated the blue light for housekeeping but was not attended to. Before we left for lunch at around 1pm and told the front desk to ensure house keeping be done before we return. We came back at 4.30pm we were very stunned to see the room still not done, we need to chase many time before they send the staff at 5pm. We are tired after an event out and hope to come back to rest and have comfortable nap but we can’t have good rest due to the room was not clean. The management please look into such services seriously and not to take for granted the kindness of clients. Very disappointed client. Anthony. Room 127 Duration of stay : 02/10 to 06/10

We received a very warm welcome and were soon upgraded when we requested a room close to the lift.|Our room was a very well equipped apartment.|We also received a very warm welcome from the staff at breakfast the following morning.|They went above and beyond to provide a great breakfast.|The day after we left, we realised we had left important belongings behind. After calling the hotel and speaking to the guest experience manager Ashutosh. We were soon assured that our items were safe and would be looked after until we could arrange collection.|The level of care and communication from Vanessa and Ashutosh was first class, and we send our heartfelt thanks to them.

I haven’t stayed overnight, but I come regularly with my baby for swimming classes. The pool is warm, the facilities are spotless, and the reception team is always welcoming. Special thanks to Victoria and her team for their kindness — even when my toddler spilled milk in the lobby, they were calm and understanding. A lovely, family-friendly place!
