I really wanted to like this place, so the three stars hurts me a little. My wife booked a reservation for a date night and after looking at the menu the options seemed appealing. Unfortunately, it took a solid 15-20 minutes for our waitress to come over, about 30 minutes for us to get our apps, and a total of 40 minutes to get our first round of drinks which, self-explanatorily, didn't come until after the apps. Drinks were nothing fancy, a canned beer and a seasonal cocktail off the menu. The waitress was incredibly friendly, thanked us for our patience each time she came to the table, but for what appeared to be an average-volume crowd, the delays were unfortunate.
The food was pretty good, though the Braised Point Judith Calamari, which boasted chorizo, pepperoncini, and spinach, among other things, didn't pack much of a flavor. The portions were disappointingly small, especially for the money. The pan seared pacific sea bass was amazing, as was the pan seared salmon. Against my better judgment, having the knowledge that I'd be slacking in the workout department the next day, I ordered the flourless chocolate cake. It was pretty awesome, though again, unanticipatedly small. The quality, preparation and presentation of the fish courses really deserve five stars, and the fish portions themselves were actually decent, but there were just too many other things weighing against it. We left full, but then again we should've after ordering two apps, two main courses, two desserts and drinks.
If you have some time on your hands and looking for a place by the water at a moderate to higher price point, go for it. The food was good. Otherwise, there are several other options in the immediate area.
