Hidden gem! Rustic location along a small creek with plenty of outdoor seating under the trees. A few tables inside as well. Wonderful coffee & pastries. We also enjoyed some of the food items - interesting blend of Mexican and coffee. Definitely worth a visit.

Google
Great food and pastries, and I was told that most of my Lunch Bean Burrito was Organic! There is very limited seating inside, but there is nice outdoor seating right behind the shop. It's right next to a little brook and plenty of trees and shade. A very peaceful setting. The staff is also very pleasant and helpful.

Google
Hidden gem in my neighborhood. The coffee, pastries, and food are all delicious and reasonably priced. The breakfast burrito and scones are my favorites. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s warm and cozy enough to feel just right.

Google
Cute place!!! Was looking for a place to meet a friend while I was in the area and she suggested we meet here. I needed to eat but she already had. It was perfect! I got a coffee and a bagel breakfast sandwich and she just had coffee. Sat outback since it was a beautiful fall day. Glad I know here’s here now and I’m sure I’ll be back.

Google
Great place out if the way! Really nice food. We ate outside and the weather was perfect. Great smoothies, very busy often.

Google
My new favorite coffee shop in North Baltimore County! Delicious food, pastries, and good coffee. Alternative milk choices available. Super cute atmosphere.

Google
We’re visiting the area and just happened to see this on the map so we checked it out and put in an order to go. Parking was very difficult, especially since we were there on a Saturday mid morning. It honestly wouldn’t be that bad if people didn’t drive so fast up and down the road that the shop is directly on.

Google
I was told this coffee shop would be able to serve up a coffee just like I got back home in Australia 🇦🇺, and they didn't disappoint. The service was great, and the way it was furnished was nostalgic. Great coffee, and the food was just as good. All very well priced. Highly recommended if you are in the area and need a coffee fix.

Yelp
What a cute spot!! Me and my brother are here from Michigan visiting family, who all sleep late, while I wake at 6am every day, so I took a drive. I'd seen the Filling Station as we were coming into town and I could tell it was the spot to hit! A former gas station, The Filling Station brews up all organic jitter juice, stacks a full pastry case, and twists tacos, burritos, and a small but thorough selection of other mexican delights! I'm typically a drip drinker, but added a cappucino which, if I'm being honest, knocked my friggin' socks off! I'll be thinking about that for some time I'm certain! There's a walk-up window to order, but also a small cafe accessible around back, and a large outdoor patio and yard along a creek and many tables to sit and relax when the weather permits. As for the service, I didn't get her name, but the barista was not only gorgeous, but she handled the early morning rush with grace and panache! She kept the line moving while chatting with her regulars and juggling custom orders. A natural if I've seen one, and I have, as I spent some years as a barista myself! I know the drill! It's a very cool place. I'd go there again. And again. And again, and I think you should too!

Yelp
Beautiful little place with Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee, and Pastries. I had a vegetarian Lunch Burrito, and I was told that most of it was Organic. I also had a delicious blueberry and cheese pastry. There's limited seating inside, and several tables outside behind the shop under trees and next to a beautiful little Brook - very peaceful. And the Staff is very pleasant and helpful. There's parking on each side of the shop. It's right off the road, so be careful with small children and pets.

Yelp
Found this lil gem driving down the road and I'm so glad I stopped. They have thee friendliest service, the cutest outdoor seating, and the breakfast burrito I had was delicious! I also got a delicious iced caramel macchiato. I hope I'm out there again some day, I'm definitely stopping here to fuel up!
google avatar

Yelp
Best little place on York Rd! It's on my way to work and also near where I train. You'd never expect a cute little coffee shop to have some of the best Mexican spins on food around. And very reasonably priced! Service is prompt and super friendly too.

Yelp
Finally tried this hidden gem. The black bean tacos were excellent with generous portions. The price was fair. I definitely want to return to try the tamales and coffee.

Yelp
For being a small shack on the side of MD45/York Rd, this ain't bad at all. They had lunch specials that were a good change of pace from usual restaurants. They have a great selection of coffee. Had a burrito that was good. Could've used a lil' hot sauce, but I wasn't trippin' because it wasn't one of those sloppy/soggy burritos that turn into mush & fall apart that you get at any other place, and it tasted good. So that was cool. Dining room was small. A bit weird they say to stay off the grass when there's tables & chairs there. Had to try their chowder. Thought maybe it was real crab because I tasted a shell. You be the judge on that. People are friendly and it's worth a try if you're on the go.

Yelp
They offer military discount which is always great. First thing the coffee is great! We got an ice coffee with half and half and actual caramel sauce and not the nasty syrup stuff. We also a pumpkin chi latter AMAZING!. As well as a salmon bagel which was delicious and filling

Reginald W.

Yelp
MadI, the new server was excellent!!! The restaurant was busy and Madi was incredibly gracious in asking for are our patience. The truth of the matter is the food was worth it. The only issue was a woman who didn't give Madi the grace she deserved by writing a negative review of her slower than usual wait, which Madi apologized for several times.

Katie A.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this coffee shop. I had been trying to go here for a few weeks but their baked goods were always sold out. I finally got the chance to go last week and it didn't disappoint. I ordered a pumpkin spice chai tea latte and a cinnamon chip scone. Both were incredibly. I really just wish they made more baked goods.
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute spot! Quick service & amazing smoothies. the menu was really interesting and unlike anywhere J've been before!

Cristian L.

Yelp
I asked for a large coffee they gave me a small. The person taking my order was unfamiliar with the contents of the food she was serving and was unable to give me any details on anything. The parking situation was horrendous and people were constantly getting blocked in. The atmosphere was nice but it overall was a bad experience will not be returning

Yelp
Amazing coffee spot! Food is delicious and service is friendly and fast. I love the option for indoor or outdoor seating. Love this place and can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
This place had been recommended to me several times, so finally stopped here. Nice little place with indoor and outdoor seating available, even had live music outside. Ocm really very satisfied with the only negative being parking can be tough as the lot is small. We had a chorizo breakfast burrito, chicken tacos, almond croissant, and breakfast shake. All items were very good, especially happy we finished off with a croissant. Great meal and cool spot, wish reasonable prices. Will definitely be back for coffee and to try other baked items!

Brian K.

Yelp
Great food and people here. They make some of the best breakfast sandwiches around! Beautiful spot to sit and enjoy your coffee.
google avatar

Katelyn G.

Yelp
Easy, convenient, good food, good drinks. I would recommend this over other places in the area

Audrey G.

Yelp
the food and atmosphere were great; however, I was appalled at the way the manager Josh treated his employees. I would not recommend this job for anyone who has feelings that don't want to get hurt.

James R.

Yelp
Friendly staff quick with in reason serves . Price is ok. I would stop in again . Not lot brag about

Yelp
I've been here a million times. Probably more. A few weeks ago I had roughly 18 of their tacos in a week. Judge me or don't, they're delicious. Anyway, this is definitely a place to frequent or just stop if you're passing thru the HZ. They are all so sweet and I just really enjoy spending my money here. The same can't be said for every establishment in the county but these folx hit the Mark every time! For me it's the chicken tacos and an oat milk chai latte. Hubs and I go often and they even give our pup her little puppccino (it's just whipped cream haha. Nothing like a good homey place.

Carolyn S.

Yelp
Food is amazing including authentic Mexican dishes, easy to eat outside or inside vintage cafe area or take away. Great coffee, hot chocolate, or teas. We love this place whenever we're in the area!

Allison H.

Yelp
Received a warm welcome upon walking into this small unassuming coffee shop. The service, breakfast burrito and coffee exceeded my expectations. One can either walk up to order outside or enter the shop to order food&coffee. There are 2 high top tables, 3 smaller tables and several tables outside of the restaurant- so, there may or may not be seating when you arrive especially during the earlier hours. Picked up some pastries too which were light, flaky & delicious. Look forward to my next visit!

Yelp
It's all about the atmosphere. On the river. Easy pull on and out. New systems slowing things down. And outdoors closed off. Got a pumpkin latte (not on the menu, I just asked for it and got it) that had mild coffee and pumpkin flavor. Bagel was ok, warm but not toasted. Took some time to get order. Give'em time and it'll be five stars again.

Yelp
Favorite place to grab coffee and quick bite. Wonderful atmosphere and service. Coffee is made well and food is always delicious.

Yelp
Found this place totally by accident on our way home from a hike with our golden at the Masemore Water Trail. This place used to be a gas station and I love how they've repurposed the building and especially the outdoor courtyard. We usually get an iced coffee and a couple of pastries - the raspberry with thin, toasted almonds is my favorite but their Maple one is delicious as well. The staff is always super friendly and I think its awesome that they use paper straws. They also offer sandwiches, smoothies and tacos so we'll be making a point of stopping for lunch next time we're in the area.

Aziz I.

Yelp
Great experience nice menu for breakfast and lunch good coffee and quick service prices are reasonable good food and great setting for outdoor when weather's permits, I highly recommend the Filling Station in Sparks.

Yelp
I was pleasantly shocked by this place. It literally looks like a vacant and abandoned gas station from the 1970s. My friends who recently moved nearby took me here for lunch. When they pulled in, I thought they were making a U-Turn. Boy I am glad they werent. We walked in and there was a counter that looked like your typical coffee shop counter, but there was nothing typical about what they were dishing out. They had baked breakfast goods, tacos, burritos, tamales, and sandwiches. My friends were raving about the tacos, so I ordered the chorizo and chicken tacos. I love tamales so I ordered a cheese tamale. I also ordered a con chocolat with expresso. The drink was ready within minutes and it was so delicious. The chocolat was very tasty. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. We sat in the seating area in the back. It was a very cozy area with lots of rustic/industrial decor, and a whole lot of character. There were local paintings of animals for sale on the wall. Once I sat down, I started with the tamale, which was very good. The tacos were admittedly the true star of the show. The tortillas were fresh made corn tortilla, which was awesome. The chicken and chorizo were both so tasty. They were a good size too. I was really taken aback by the food here.

Alex L.

Yelp
Portions are kinda small for the price (i ate the taco in like 3 bites). I wouldnt go for lunch but for a breakfast and coffee/tea. Coffee was pretty good, burrito was meh, taco wasn't exactly worth it. Nice staff and atmosphere tho.

Yelp
Festive and tasty! The Filling Station lives up to its history! This sweet coffee (and also great taco spot!) used to be an old gas station. Their breakfast is great and so is their lunch! I definitely recommend trying both and their lattes are a must. The staff is friendly and the place is just so cool! They also sell local art inside. If you're hiking in the area, this is a great spot to "fuel up" before hand!
google avatar

Yelp
Really cool spot to pull off of York Road for coffee and breakfast! If you go too fast you can easily miss this old gas station turned coffee shop. But it's always busy, so if your lucky you'll be able to nab one of the few parking spots on either side of the building... or make your own spot! Seems like that happens on occasion as well since this is a hot spot. When you walk in there is a small ordering counter, pastries in a showcase, as well as a fridge with some take home items (I want to say they had things like milk and eggs, along with other drinks, but I cannot remember exactly). To the left the have a small and adorable seating area inside. And they have a ton of seating out back, just walk through the ordering area. Outside you don't feel like your on a main road because it's behind the building, in fact it feels like you are in a little woodsy oasis, away from it all. I really enjoy the whole wheat croissant (never seen this anywhere else!) I get it as a breakfast sandwich... it's my favorite. The breakfast burritos are good as well, but not as good as the croissant sandwich IMO. The coffee is great as well! Always get iced lattes, very good. They have great service, although don't expect to be quickly in and out.. they make everything with love, and it takes a little time.
google avatar

B D.

Yelp
This is my go-to for an outdoor morning coffee. A little stream and outdoor tables. Indoor seating is also lovely with cool wooden tables. Not rushed; good place to read. Coffee is good and fresh as are the breakfast sammies and baked goods.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little coffee shop and cafe! Stopped by Saturday when I was in the area, and got a delicious iced latte with oat milk! The barista recommended getting the "mega" size (as opposed to the only other size - "tall"), and it was bigger than the usual medium size I'd get elsewhere, but it was good so I'm glad I did. My fiancé got a mega iced coffee, and then we shared a breakfast sandwich, which had a nice chewy bagel, tasty sausage, and lots of cheese. We didn't get to try the tacos that are otherwise praised on yelp, so I'd definitely come back to try them next time I'm in the area since I thoroughly enjoyed the Filling Station this time around.
google avatar

Sebastian P.

Yelp
Great spot to go to on a sunny day. There is outdoor seating out back with a stream below. We shared the bagel with smoked salmon. All of the ingredients were delicious and the staff is super friendly. Look forward to going back!
google avatar

Mela S.

Yelp
Cute as a button and maybe I caught them on an off day, but my simple black coffee (I mean literally coffee poured into a cup, no bells or whistles) was thin, weak and utterly bland. I'd compare it to, like, what you might get at a highway rest-stop vending machine.

Scott K.

Yelp
I did not like the food at all. We dined in but the service was zero. Handed us a bag of burritos. No napkin no plate. Cold walk up window kept freezing us out. I don't know why but my chicken burrito tasted like scrambled eggs. Chicken was super dry and burned. I was hoping for more.
google avatar

Yelp
I hope to get out to The Filling Station again and try something different. I heard about this place during a CrossFit workout. Someone was raving about their breakfast burritos so I made the trip. Now, I love a good breakfast burrito; however, something was lacking. Maybe I didn't know to ask for extra add-ons, I'm not sure. My burrito had egg, cheese, beans and some spice. The size was relatively small and I left hungry. The overall taste was good and fresh. The shop itself has a great vibe. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The inside dining room is funky with lots of rustic decor and funky wooden tables. The building itself still has its original charm and is very welcoming. Every Friday they have music and a pizza food truck. This is absolutely an event I'd like to come back for. I'd also like to try their tacos, or another variation of breakfast burrito. I feel like I just missed it the first time. Hoping a second visit would be a win.

Yelp
I have gone here twice: once for lunch and once for breakfast. The first time I got a lunch burrito with brisket. It was a big burrito and a pretty good price. Not a lot of flavor but it was good. The second time I got a breakfast burrito. This was awesome!!! It had so much flavor and was filling. I got the lime Rickey drink, which was very refreshing. I get that drink every time I go now. The staff is very friendly here. It is a cute spot but the parking is not that great. They have a small lot that gets full on the weekend. They have a nice outdoor seating area in the back.
google avatar

Abby K.

Yelp
Such a cute little coffee shop! The Filling Station looks like a small old gas station and is very easy to miss driving by. They have your typical coffee shop fare: a selection of breakfast sandwiches, made to order drinks, and some awesome looking pastries. I had an iced Americano and the basic salsa and avocado breakfast burrito. Both were great! The burrito wasn't huge but was just the right size for breakfast. Service was friendly and fast. There weren't too many people in around 8:30 am on a Friday. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
A hodgepodge mix of enjoyable treats. The Filling Station is part cafe, part Tex-Mex restaurant, part nick-nack shop, and all around enjoyable experience. While it doesn't excel at any one particular experience, it has so many different positives that it makes up for its faults. The Filling Station sells American Breakfast and Mexican lunch type foods accompanied with a wide selection of coffees. I ordered a chorizo burrito with a mocha iced coffee to sample a little bit of both specialties. The chorizo in my burrito was exceptionally well seasoned, but was the only highlight of the dish, as the rice and veggies that accompanied it were bland in comparison. The Iced mocha was good and woke me up during the afternoon, but didn't taste like anything I couldn't get out of a Starbucks. My friend got their "Breakfast Shake", which is a mix of breakfasty fruits and grains in a single smoothie which she attested was an amazing meal in of itself. One huge plus about the Filling Station is the fantastic decor. The interior has a friendly rustic look and the outdoors is a charming little nook of flowers, wooden chairs, and strung up lights. The outdoor seating alone makes me want to come back during the evening to sit next to the small stream running along side the establishment. Another small note is that the Filling Station sells an odd assortment of useful and beautiful jugs, metalwork, and pottery at affordable prices. While not my favorite cafe or Mexican in the area, it does offer a lot of things I enjoy in one place and I'll be coming back to get another fill of the Filling Station.

Douglas S.

Yelp
Great food and service. Small building on York Road and convenient. Love the variety of beverages available!
google avatar

Mallory S.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the latte I got here! Super friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend if you're in the area!

Ellen S.

Yelp
ChocoChai the best and rice bowls perfect. Service is awesome! Stopped here almost every day of visit. Great that it's right near my sisters house

Richard K.

Yelp
One of the best cups of coffee I ever had. Thanks for making driving and drinking (coffee) enjoyable! Be back soon, God Bless.

Timothy J F.

Yelp
Road side jewel, food was great, and the iced tea was excellent! The place was busy and we still got top notch service, I will return when I am able.

Caroline K.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in MD. Feels like home, syrups are good, quality is the same every time. And the indoor and outdoor seating is very cute

Kathleen G.

Yelp
Definitely recommend the filling station! Delicious coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches!!

David K.

Yelp
Coffee was adequate. So was the food. My VERY pregnant wife asked to use the restroom and was denied due to new policy. Understand COVID has us doing things differently, but where's the decency and common sense. When I asked again and told the staff it was an emergency all they could do was shrug and say sorry. Not very neighborly in my opinion. Won't get my business again.

Patricia L.

Yelp
So I stopped yesterday for the first time. Ordered the huevos rancheros which were tasty but the black beans were undercooked and hard. Cute tables inside. Didn't see much in the way of pastries tho. They were out of pumpkin spice so had a cappucino. Wish the gal had told me almond milk was .75 extra. Friendly cashier and service was quick since it was not busy. May give it another try at some point now that I know what to expect.
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
Very sad that I lived here five years before I found this place! I ate here four times in the first week after discovery. I have found their food to be very fresh and made of very high quality ingredients. Portions are ample and flavors are great. The service has been very friendly but it's all carry out so interactions are limited. I have yet to try their coffee or espresso but will soon for certain.
google avatar

Julia F.

Yelp
I've been to the Filling Station a number of different times, and have enjoyed every experience. Their drinks are affordable and tasty, and the staff is always a hoot. The atmosphere is very welcoming and a little eclectic. Though it makes for a great spot to meet up with a friend and catch up, it isn't well-suited for studying or getting work done. During the summer months, the Filling Station hosts live local artists and food trucks (usually pizza) on their back patio, so it attracts a lot of locals looking for a fun evening at a low cost. It's BYOB, an added bonus! Don't feel shy about bringing pets, the Filling Station welcomes four-legged friends.

Peter K.

Yelp
Excellent coffee, a delicious frappe, and tasty baked goods. A local favorite -- for good reason.
