Google
Stopped by the Filling Station and was impressed with their extensive local beer options. It's a small place but cozy with a few small tables inside and in front. Service was excellent, friendly and made some great recommendations. We sampled a few and settled on an excellent local brew to-go. The only food options are crackers and pretzels so eat elsewhere. Overall great experience, we'll definitely be back!

Google
Loved the atmosphere, some of the friendliest people to talk to and the bartender is an encyclopedia on all the different kinds of beers. Found my new favorite ale with his help. Will definitely visit again

Google
A great spot for a hangout or meet-up. Small beer store offers draft beer and THC seltzers, with exceptional service and a fantastic selection. The good vibes are just what you need, and there’s a cozy outdoor area and a few seats inside. It’s perfect for catching up with friends, enjoying a quick drink on a date night, or grabbing some beer to go.

Google
Incredible, authentic spot for any beer lover! It’s one of the last true local spots in 12 south and a true hidden gem. I live in the neighborhood and love walking over to grab a beer for there or to go. Dogs are also welcome which is appreciated! I love heading to Edley’s to eat then to filling station for an after dinner drink. It’s also a great place to sit with a drink and work during the week. Never change, Filling Station!

Google
They are amazing!!! Great selection of beers and awesome people

Google
MUST STOP ON 12TH SOUTH This place is so fun and the people are so nice. Tons of beers! I don’t drink beers but their seltzer is fire! Stop and check it out quick. You won’t be disappointed.

Google
Love this place. Cozy spot with indoor and outdoor seating. HUGE beer selection with a togo option. The owners are awesome.

Google
Literally had the BEST service and beer!! We were out of town and they were so friendly, I would come back the next time I'm in town. Thank you Filling Station for a great experience!

Yelp
Amazing cozy vibes with indoor and outdoor seating. For a neighborhood spot this place has one of the best selections of craft beer I've seen in awhile. So many options and a knowledgeable and kind bartender. Very reasonable prices as well. I had a very good smoothie sour and hazy IPA. I'll be back for sure
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing! It's literally a pit stop to rest your bones and sip a beer while doing some people watching. No meals here, just salty and sweet snack options. There is no hard alcohol sold here, but they do have about 15 to 20 beers on tap. This doesn't include the many tall boys, boozy kombuchas, and seltzers that they sell by the case or individually. They also offer walking beers. What's a walking beer you ask? Well, that's a beer you purchase, they pour in a plastic cup, you walk your ass right out on the street, and start sipping! Yes, I was the guy sipping a beer and pushing a stroller on my way to Butter Milk Ranch for a late brunch. Not gonna lie, it was a pretty good little Sunday. If you're in the neighborhood make this place a must stop in between window shopping and beating the summer heat.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Very helpful staff Limited seating Ample selection Mellow ambiance, nice Sunday afternoon stop

Natilie H.

Yelp
Great place if you like craft beer. They have a wide selection and the staff is friendly. You can also bring your dogs in. They have inside and outside seating

Yelp
Lady working earlier was so chummy! Dude working when we stopped back by was kind of a scrooge. Got a 6 pack to go and asked for a beer walking and he asked if I just "assumed they did that" Lol. Ya got a sign out front advertising that bro? Anyways no tip for grumpy and the only reason I took off a star but the lady is a sweetheart. Small spot with a good selection of local brews.

Steven D.

Yelp
Nice spot to grab beers while your lady shops through a Hipster's paradise on 12th Ave. Tons of craft beer with great service.
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Let me just say....if you like beer this is the place to go! Sooo many choices for purchase as well as getting beers on draft.
google avatar

Jl V.

Yelp
Don't miss this spot! Fantastic beer only eclipsed by the service. Casual place to get away from the shopping crowd. Great selection of beers on tap as well as growlers and 4packs/6packs to go. Don't forget to take a "Walking Beer" on your way out the door.

Yelp
The Filling Station in the 12 South neighborhood is one of those unique Nashville spots that is fun to stop by. You can either grab a pint on tap and stick around for a while or you can grab a six-pack or growler with beer to-go. They have a pretty good selection of different craft beer. The interior is pretty small but they do have a few tables and also some games to play. They also have a bit of seating outside as well. Definitely a cool place if you're in the area or if you grab dinner at Edley's next door then I like coming here for a drink after.

Walton P.

Yelp
Josiah gave me the best customer service I've ever gotten in this city. This guy is the man. He gave me a great suggestion and was an absolute joy to talk to. Bright spot to me day. Give him a god damn raise!!!
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
Cool little beer shop where you can grab a pint to stay or snag a fix pack or fill up a growler to go. We came across this on a little stroll through the 12 South area and came back later in the evening to try a special Kolsch they had. This is a beer lovers dream with loads of options and even the option to taste something that's on tap. You can get 32 or 64 oz growlers of anything they're tapping. We snagged a front patio spot and drank a beer before dinner, watching everyone out and about.
google avatar

Yelp
In the 12th South area, The Filling Station is a must. It is located right next to Edely's BBQ. They have a great selection of craft beers for sale in 6 packs and a small group of beers in tap that you can drink inside or take home a Growler. The decor is old wood and makes it very cozy and the staff member was attentive and really took the time to explain the history of this quaint building and if the beers we were trying. It is not an all night party place. If you want to stop in and try a new beer or two, this is a good place. We will be stopping and getting some growlers for the road so we can have them back in Indiana.
google avatar

Rachael H.

Yelp
This place is awesome! I was just walking around 12 South shopping and asked the barista at White Bison Coffee around the corner where I could get a local beer and chill and they recommended here. Great choice! I went at 5pm on a Sunday and while there were a handful of people here, I easily grabbed a table to myself and had the chai solstice beer (EXCELLENT!). I also wanted to get my dad a couple single local brews for Christmas and could only find 6 packs of craft brews, but I was able to purchase single beers here. Great little joint and love the ambiance/aesthetics. Looks like an old gas station but is super chic and clean.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
The people who work here are great. If you love beer or cider, stop here. Don't think. Just do it. You're welcome.
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
Stopped in on our way the Ederlys for barbecue. Grabbed a to go beer along with a six pack for later. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. They gave great recommendations and had an excellent selection of local beers. The outdoor sitting area was really nice and shady and quiet. Would definitely recommend stopping in.

Yelp
Lots of places sell beer. Grocery stores, gas stations, even Target. But this place is way cooler. Lots of taps and new choices often. Good selection of cans and bottles and refills for those who have the right kind of container. Several tables inside (small space) and several out (weather permitting). Great spot to sit and sip and think and visit.
google avatar

Rob P.

Yelp
Cool little beer store/bar! We popped in here after seeing the sign out from of the BBQ store next door. None of us wanted a beer at that exact moment, but we enjoyed perusing the beer selection and pointing out all of the ones from San Diego. Nobody was in the shop when we went, but then again it was like 3pm on a Monday afternoon. Would love to go back when there's some people in and have a beer.
google avatar

Jimmy B.

Yelp
Great little shop in the 12th South district. Many rotating beers on tap, growlers filled, and lots of unique specialty 6 packs available for sale. The owner is fantastic, fun, and very knowledgable with beers and advice for visitors. Just on the main drag next to a great BBQ place.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Easy place to grab quick drinks if in the area. Pretty cheap and lots of selection on draft. They also have fun card games to play so good to bring a group there. Not a whole lot of seating inside or outside however.
google avatar

Lindy F.

Yelp
"I spotted a couple of broken burglar bars underneath the back door to Bean's secret cider cellar." -- Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) Just a little corner spot to get your drink on before walking 12th and hitting some spots for food (or more drink). But if you blink, you might miss it. My friends and I stopped in on a Saturday to grab a drink (hard root beer for me, cider for one friend, beer for another) - so the options are great. We grabbed a high table in the corner and hung out for a bit while chatting and enjoyed the space. It was a reasonable price and the crowd was good. The line was good and steady, so they definitely have a following. They have growlers and outside seating as well.
google avatar

Tisha N.

Yelp
Fill a growler or your pint glass. Great selection of beers on draft or to go. Good place to sample local and regional beers. Play a game while you enjoy your beverage. Kid friendly.
google avatar

Man Wai Y.

Yelp
Came here after dinner - seatings were comfortable and it has good collection of board games and card games. A good variety of beer from local and other small breweries. Would be nice if it's near my home!
google avatar

Megan T.

Yelp
Super cute little spot for a quick beer. Many to choose from! My husband and I also like to stop in with some card and sit at one of the tables and enjoy a game while we drink a beer.

Yelp
The Filling Station has had a soft spot in my heart for years, since they opened actually. Strolling along 12th S. one could easily miss it. Tucked behind Edley's is this genius water hole of beer. A place were the draft taps are always on rotation and change weekly/monthly. The staff is always friendly and informative when asked questions. On many occasions I have bumped into someone that literally walked down the street in their house clothes and growlers in tote to get a quick and friendly refill of brew. You have the option to fill your growler, grab a pint, or create your own six-pack while visiting. Don't miss out on a visit to this unique local establishment!
google avatar

Yelp
Tiny, tiny place serving great drafts and bottled beer. Excellent, knowledgeable owner operator. If you are a beer lover, you can't go wrong visiting this place
google avatar

Tess F.

Yelp
We made a quick pit stop here after we left Edley's BBQ (right next door) - what a fun place! There was only one employee there, working hard and stocking the shelves. I never got her name but she had dark hair and was very helpful. She answered all our questions and was cool to chat with. We didn't get a chance to actually buy any beer because we had only had carry on luggage to take back on the plane - had we been able to, both my boyfriend and I would have made a few purchases. The selection and variety is incredible! And may I add, some of the most colorful, visually appealing bottles and cans I've ever seen. My boyfriend bought a couple empty growlers with their logo on it - only $5 and a great gift to give any beer enthusiast. Stop by and give this place a look, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
The BF and I stopped in here on our way to dinner at Eddleys BBQ. It's a cute little beer shack that also serves light eats and is pet friendly. The guy who assisted us was beyond friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The offer samples and a large variety of beers. The prices are reasonable. It's a must stop to hang out and bring home some goodies while your there.

Yelp
Oh hey, 12 South. I see what you're bottling. A half block off the main strip, The Filling Station caters to beer snobs and experimentalists alike, all while giving ample tap and shelf space to local brews. If you're looking for slick aesthetic, this ain't it. As the name implies, it's one stop to fill growlers from a variety of brewers' seasonal offerings. Sixers and cases pack the shelves, organized by their makers, and there are no less than 20 taps (24 to be exact) to load up their house branded growlers for your sip-at-home pleasure. I'm fast learning there's a 12 South tax, as the $10-14 price point equates to a standard $5-7 you'd pay for a food service pint, or a buck or two more than the breweries themselves charge in their tap rooms. For the variety, quality and convenience, it's a small price to pay.
google avatar

Yelp
The idea of a place selling craft beers in growlers to take home sounded fantastic but I was still skeptical with how picky I am with a good brew. Sure I drink the basic domestics like most other beer drinkers but only when I have to. There are way to many exceptional choices available in this world to waste my time and money on mediocre food and beverage. Other places have said that they set the bar high but fail in the execution. The Filling Station however achieves exceptionalism with a simple idea of providing their customers with anything but a mediocre beer drinking experience. I walked in to see a wall of growlers on the left, chalkboard with the beer list sitting above the 24 taps, and the shelves of bottled beer to my right. For such a small space it was momentarily overwhelming. The selection of both draft and bottle beers was quite impeccable. Their selection is constantly rotating but the standards of excellence don't seem to waiver. There is a notebook on the counter where you can request beers for them to have on tap in the future. The staff knew the beers very well also and really seemed happy to be there. It was a great experience and I recommend others to try it out.
google avatar

Mary Kate E.

Yelp
I like their ever changing taps. I bring my growler for them to refill when I have a need to have some cider. They have a great selection of both microbrews and limited editions brews. You're also able to enjoy a pint or a tasting here. Prices are on point with the market.

Yelp
Now officially one of my favorite bars in Nashville. It's this super cute and cozy little hole in the wall off of 12th south that's a repurposed gas station. They have a good selection of beers and a really intimate and chill vibe. Great vibe for when you're looking to enjoy a beer in a more chill context and have a conversation without it being too noisy. I also love that they have a variety of board games you can play at no additional cost! The music they play is great, very good throwbacks and I've had a great experience every time I've gone. They don't have a ton of seating area because it's a tiny establishment so peak hours are probably less desirable for sit down (3-7). However, the Evenings here tend to be fairly quiet and I would highly recommend it!
google avatar

Eleana H.

Yelp
Great watering hole on 12th. On first glance it is very easy to miss, but if you turn the corner you won't be disappointed. I do wish they had a larger patio, but we were lucky enough to snag a table on a nice sunday afternoon (on a Open street Nash day/pre-halloween weekend too! to top that one off!) Was really wonderful to play some chess, and most importantly dog watch while enjoying a nice afternoon out.
google avatar

Isabel A.

Yelp
Nice selection of beer and tried some local brewed ones on the recommendation of the person working the counter.
google avatar

Yelp
The Filling Station is a great place to stop and grab a drink before dinner at the numerous nearby restaurants. We stopped here to grab a few drinks, relax and enjoy the lovely Saturday afternoon weather. They have a large selection of craft beer on tap as well as CIDER! I'm not a beer drinker, but I do love my cider. It was fairly cheap to get our drink on here. The Filling Station also has growlers so you can get your fill of some awesome beer to go.
google avatar

Zach R.

Yelp
Air conditioned. It was a very nice stop on 12 South Street. The beer tender knew a lot about all the beers on tap which made for a great experience.
google avatar

Anna J.

Yelp
We recently moved into the neighborhood and my husband loves this place. We typically walk our dog over here, grab a beer, and sit on their outside patio area to people watch. They have a really good selection of beers on tap and for sale. The folks working here are nice and knowledgeable. You can also get growlers to go (buy from them or bring your own growler to fill)! I only wish they carried Fruli which is one I cannot find too often here in the states. I guess it's just not a mans man beer, o well. Parking can be tricky here as the lot by them is for edleys and the street parking adjacent needs residential permits now. Luckily we can just walk here! Yay!
google avatar

Luke I.

Yelp
An absolutely superb place to grab a bevvy with the lads. They've got dem taps rotatin' round like a helicopta' you feel me bruv. It's an absolute mad ting aye

J B.

Yelp
Small shop where you can purchase to go or consume the on tap varieties, lots of choices for either, including niche varieties. Limited seating, a few outdoor seats, they had cards to play with as well.
google avatar

Ryder T.

Yelp
AWESOME little bar. Huge huge selection of beers to drink there, fill a growler, or buy by the bottle. It's just beer, so you might not plan your whole evening around it, but you have to check this out. It is a really small shop, so maybe don't bring the whole crew, but like I said, you can fill up a growler and quench a lot of thirsty friends with that.
google avatar

Dani P.

Yelp
This quaint place is next door to Edley's bbq. We stopped by after dinner to pick up something different to have while chatting up our Saturday night. The employee was really helpful, and gave good recommendations based on our described tastes rather than what might be super expensive or something. I don't drink a lot, but wanted to bring something unique home to my husband in DC that perhaps wouldn't be available back home. The employee again was really helpful when I told him what things my husband was interested in. My husband enjoyed his milk chocolate stout a lot once I returned home.

Caroline J.

Yelp
Cute little pit stop! They have a solid beer selection on tap, and the bartender was super helpful in describing the beers and went the extra mile to take care of guests. Dig it! I didn't buy to go beers, but there wasn't a shortage of variety!
google avatar

Danyel C.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this place. The ever revolving menu, the outdoor seating, the card games, it's all great. While you're waiting for your order at Edley's, pop over here and have a pint or two, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
Oh wow! What can I say?! We are beer lovers- my husband more of a beer master because he's a brewer. This place is FULL of fresh local and southern beers. The woman who was working was extremely helpful in answering questions and gave wonderful recommendations but was never pushy! Fresh beers on tap for growler fills at really great prices!
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
What a fantastic addition to the Nashville beer scene! Here's how it works - pick up a growler, hand it over to an employee & tell them what you want inside. Easy as that! I think I remember seeing a few options in bottles as well. My favorite part -- they have Goose Island! Be still, my heart.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
Frighteningly great selection of craft beers and one of the coolest looking shops ever, inside and out. One of the owners as there and I was looking for a specific style of beer. She rattled off a bunch of info off the top of her head that was impressive. She directed me to a great porter that was so good I logged it in my beer app. Really intimate shop with a nice little seating area, both inside and out. Too bad I'm from out of town, cause I would be hitting this place up ALL the time.
google avatar

Yelp
I agree with Justin R., how can anyone ever give The Filling Station a bad review. The Filling Station is a To-Go beer shop. Within the comfortable confines of the joint, one can get one's growler filled or buy single bottle craft beers or buy six packs of craft beers. There is a large variety from whence one can choose of on tap and bottles. Don't own a growler? Then I recommend that you purchase a growler from the fine gentlemen at The FIlling Station. Growlers are just $5, and then you can get it filled from one of roughly 20 taps of a variety of good wholesome craft beer. And, all of the craft beer is not just local (don't get me wrong, I love supporting local craft breweries like Jackalope, Yazoo, and Blackstone). You can find great choices like Goose Island as well. Not interested in a growler, but rather enjoy something about pouring a beer from a bottle in a tall cold glass at the house? Fantastically, the gents at The Filling Station can solve this too with their bottles and six packs of beer. Gluten-free? The guys have you covered as well. You can get something beside just cider (which they also have) and beside ginger beer (which they also have) and get some fine gluten-free beer. My favorite is Omission. Now a haiku about the The Filling Station: the first filled growler even the Taproom seems to want a gift from Edo
google avatar

Gai P.

Yelp
What can I say, I am a sucka for this place. I place blame on the Filling Station's excellent craft beer selections & and my two growlers for adding too my waistline. Maybe I just need to exercise a little more.....maybe. Fair warning, you don't get to sample any of the beer since The Filling Station does not have the proper credentials to offer samples to the public. See a beer you're not familiar with? You'll just have to be adventurous. The filling station has a good variety of beers on tap for you to fill your growlers or half growlers. Growlers are 64 ounces which is just over 5 beers. You can also trade your growler at no charge for a smaller growler & vice versa if you're wanting more or less beer. Be sure to keep your growler caps, they'll run ya 85 cents if you loose it. Beer is usually best consumed fromm growlers on the same day. If you don't open it, the freshness may last a couple more days. There are several local brews available. IPA's up in da house. The filling station also has a decent variety of your bottled craft beers. They also have cigars if you're into that. The filling station is a very small joint and the perfect place to pick up some beer for the day, evening, picnic, party, your boys and peeps. I love this joint!
google avatar

Veronica D.

Yelp
We've gone here often since it opened. If you love beer, GOOD beer, and variety then this is the place for you. You'll always find some thing you like, whether it's in a growler or bottles (you can also build your own six pack) no one leaves unhappy! You can bring your own growler or buy one there (full growler or half) and they now have growler koozies! They take suggestion for future beers so make sure you write something down! You can find a list of beers on their site, or tweet them or call ahead because sometimes not all beers are added quickly to the list after hooking up new kegs. Go there. NOW! Enjoy!
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
Why would anyone ever give this place a bad review? It's a to-go draught brew shop....what a genius idea. So genius, I wish I would have thought about it. Beer (I'm talking about good beer, not crappy light beer) tastes great out of a bottle, but it tastes even better from a tap. The joy of The Filling Station is that you can walk in with you growler, or purchase one there, and get it filled with a brew of your choice. When I was in there they had about 15 different taps, which they change out regularly. The staff is extremely knowledgable and is there to help inform your decision. And if you are looking for a specific beer, even something they don't carry, that will help you find it. The prices were a little high compared to other growler fills in town, but most other places you go to normally only have local brews. The Filling Station has beer from all over the country! So if you you love beer and are looking for a cool new local business, check them out.
