The Fillmore Pub

So nice we tried it twice. Visited the Filmore after getting into the area for a business trip. Did not knock anything about Plano or where to go but pictures online gave off a nice vibe. Enjoyed the large bar with plenty of seating and liked the spacious interior. It was pretty slow on a Monday evening but I can tell the spot would be fun for trivia live music and sports which it looked like all were scheduled. I loved that there were folks playing board games in the booths. Overall it gives a lived-in vibe inside and a nice pub feel from the outside. Service from the bartenders was fine, strikes me as a place where being a regular probably makes a difference. I enjoyed a local red ale and a sour both nicely temped from the tap. I also got the curry. Good price for the amount of food I had plenty left for breakfast. It smells amazing coming out to. Just beware it is pretty spicy even if you pick of the fresh jalapenos. The area it's in is very walkable with convenient street parking and several lots nearby. Definitely a good spot to stop in if you are doing a little bar hopping. A few days later I came back in and enjoyed a beer on the very nice patio with excellent table service. Overall I really liked the Fillmore and if I lived in the area I feel like I'd find myself here weekly. As it is, next trip in I'll be stopping by.

One of the great pubs in Plano. Amazing beer selection, great food, very friendly staff, and amazing atmosphere. Seating inside and out. This is one of my favorite true pubs in the area. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was outstanding. Friends had the burgers and loved them. Chips and Queso were very good! Never disappoints. We really enjoyed our visit again. Highly recommend!

Great little pub. Small but nice draft selection. Way better than necessary mixology. Brunch was great— thin crispy hash browns, the sausage gravy was wonderful too. Breakfast burger really hit the spot!

Such a great find in Downtown Plano! The Fillmore Pub has a cozy, welcoming vibe with a good mix of classic pub energy and modern comfort. They’ve got a great selection of drinks, and the food menu is solid. I tried one of their house specials and was not disappointed — great flavors and portion size. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Perfect place to hang out with friends, grab a pint, and enjoy the downtown scene. Excited to see how this new spot grows!

The, Bonitos Reposado Tequila, tasted great. The chips and salsa tasted delicious. Tonight was a slow night, so it was quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this place!

The food is delicious! My plate was sparking empty cuz I made sure I had them all. The waiter was friendly and attentive! The price is readable and portion of food is appropriate. It was quite empty during lunch time so it was a great place for a group and great conversation.

Great little pub in downtown Plano! Dark and cozy, plenty of seating. Huge variety of drinks, good menu. I had the fish and chips, it was delicious however the serving was extremely small for the $16 price. My partner enjoyed their regular burger, fries are extra. Service was very sparse, server rarely came to our table, waterless/drink less for the majority of the time. Menu prices have changed.

RJ was phenomenal, even gave us waters with lids to go after a long night! Very cute place, great drinks, would recommend!

came an hour before close, was well taken care of by a very nice bartender named RJ. he really was the best and made sure my friends and I had a good time and even gave us togo waters at the end of the night.

Great place to hang out. Great cocktails and a large selection of beers on tap. My friend and I shared the Steak bites and the Hummus plate, both were delicious. Service was good for a pub and in the heart of Downtown Plano. We'll definitely go back.

Great selection of drinks and a perfect place to gather a huge amount of friends! Service is also good although you may have to flag down a waiter or waitress to get your order in.

Unfortunately this place was not a hit for me. My party of 4 just ordered drinks and everybody sent theirs back or just didn't drink it (I ordered a vodka water... how it came out sweet is beyond me smh). Food didn't look good so we didn't order.

We stopped by the Fillmore Pub for a late dinner and a drink and I'm glad we did. I've often walked past the Fillmore but never stopped. My husband got the Deli Rueben and I tried the Pepper Jack Chicken Sandwich. We split an order of the Pommes Frites. The Rueben meat was good quality; well trimmed (no overly fatty pieces), full of flavor and not your average store bought lunch meat. The pepper Jack chicken sandwich was impressive. The jalapeño cheddar bun was fresh and so soft. The chicken breast was cooked well and the avocado was delightful. Everything was well seasoned and tasted great. The waitress was sweet and offered opinions on the food and beer. She was well prepared and took backup drink orders in case our first selections were out. The food presentation was limited (sandwiches do not come with a side and sides are $3) but the beers were beautiful. Since it's a pub, this makes sense. Don't let the Fillmore's dark bar setting deter you from coming in for a bite and a beer. While the setting may not be great for conversation, the food is worthy of your time and they do have a nice patio area looking out at downtown Plano.

The beer variety is decent, pricing ok, just as other places! The fish and chips is the biggest rip off in Plano. 2 tiny pieces of fish, handful of fries, all for $16 plus tax... The portion and the value are not coherent, you are taking advantage! Just based on that, is not a place to eat.. maybe a beer thats about it

This is the best pub ive ever been too. Not even a pub person, i guess i am now? RJ is amazing as always. The food, drinks and service all hit. The only downside is they have no decks of cards with all the cards present. Love the vibe and that they have a bunch of games to choose from. By the time i left it was a full house. Love this spot and will keep coming back. So glad I discovered it!

This was our first visit to the Fillmore Pub. We wanted a place to get an idea of the local vibe and it didn't disappoint. We sat at the bar and enjoyed both food and beverages. The bartenders were attentive and helpful in both our meal selections and learning more about the area. My husband had the Guinness Burger. It had great flavor, meat was cooked perfectly and it was a good portion. I went with the hummus plater. The hummus had great flavor and I appreciated the warmed pita bread along with the feta, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, and onion. The ambiance resembles what you are expecting when you think of a British pub. While on the darker lit side, it was warm and welcoming.

Always enjoy my time here, I come here prior to Mavs games. Easy to catch train. Acceptable beers, good staff, fair to good menu.

First time going to a pub for me so it was kinda awkward. I had their fish and chips. Overall it was ok but i expected the fish to be firm and thoroughly cooked and it was just coming apart when I poked it with my fork. I like the fries. They were pretty huge. Service was great though. I might come back again and try other stuff.

We tried this place because I was really wanting fish and chips. It was hopping for happy hour on a Friday evening. Server was there right away... but not overly welcoming. The beer menu is huge and has a really great variety. I ordered a Karbach Citrus draft and Hubby got a cider. Both good. I did notice some wine servings going by but the pours were very small. For dinner I did get the fish and chips and hubby got their Rueben. The food came out pretty quick. Ketchup, salt, pepper, malt vinegar and hot sauce were available at the table. My choice needed all of the above. Are restaurants afraid of seasoning?!! The fish was crispy and HOT but was just eh... hubby's sandwich was big and juicy and pretty tasty. The place is a pub for sure. Noisy at happy hour but you expect that. Still craving good fish and chips.

Good food. Great service. Vey English style feel that makes me forget I live in the concrete city of Dallas. The music selection today was super great. Pink Floyd and wine. Yes, please! The side salad is surprisingly one of the best salads I have had in a long time.

Staff has 0 clue how to take care of guests. Please do yourself a favor and never go here. The bartender with the mustache was by far the worst service-person I have had. He has severe anger issues and was utterly disrespectful to people all night for no good reason. He clearly needs to look inward and see a therapist.

Just stopped by quickly to grab a beer before dinner at another place, and ended up buying some food for my kiddo. Atmosphere - 4/5 - Very dark...almost like...a pub haha. Seriously, typical pub joint. Staff - 4/5 - Friendly. I did have to flag my waitress a couple of times. Food - 4/5 - What I ordered - 1. Pub Style Fish and Chips - 4/5 - I read the reviews from others, but mine was just fine. Both the fish and chips were crispy, and I would order this again as my kiddo really enjoyed both. 2. I ordered a beer. Yay, a beer. Overall, I enjoyed my brief time here. Would I come back? I would consider it with a group of friends. However, there are a few other places in downtown Plano that I still need to check out.

This was the worst bar I have ever been to in my life. I went up to order a drink and the bartender went absolutely ape shit. He cut everyone off. Threw on his jacket and left. everyone was standing at the bar speechless just wanting a drink. Do yourself a favor and never go here. Unless you want to get yelled at, cussed at, and talked down to for no reason. They truly need to cull their staff and start over. Disgusting establishment, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

We wanted to sit at the bar but it closed due to Covid which is understandable. I actually do not work to far from this restaurant and have been there to the happy hour a few times. However, the services was a little off I almost felt like me and my friend was being rushed to order. We came to watch the game Sunday night. Outside of that the food was good we just shared the fish and chips to eat. I tried the Whiskey Sour and one of the IPA's Juice Pack which is locally brewed in Plano. I'm not sure if I will visited a again but maybe after Covid.

Stopped in here for a quick drink after dinner with a friend. It's pretty dimly lit, which you expect from a pub, but created an almost unwelcoming environment when you combined it with the staff taking 10 minutes to even greet us at the table we had sat at. Once greeted, the service was fair. However, after 20 minutes of waiting on us, the waitress needed to tab us out since she was leaving. I realize this happens at a restaurant but it just didn't settle well after the beginning introduction to the pub. The drinks were fairly affordable, especially for Dallas area. I'd stop in again if I was in the area but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way.

We had cheese board and a couple of beers before a wedding. Service was good and the vibe is definitely Pub, which is exactly what the Dr. ordered.

Had lunch today with some friends at the Fillmore Pub. First time ever at this pub. We sat outside on their patio. Our waitress was great and very attentive. She was quick with our drinks and our food. I ordered the nachos with chicken. This item is under appetizers but it's enough for two people. It was really good and I was completely stuffed! Overall, I liked dining here and the laid back atmosphere was a plus.

Food was absolutely atrocious. I ordered Steak Frites for $25, medium rare. Received an offensively tiny piece of dry, overcooked, unseasoned, chewy "steak" with the saddest dry, stale french fries that tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Absolutely inedible. My husband got the roast beef sandwich which the menu described as "loaded with roast beef" - when it came out it barely had any roast beef, there was more mayo lathered on than meat. My brother in law ordered a vegetable soup that he described as tasting like canned soup with a bunch of tabasco added, to the point where he was coughing and making sour faces whenever he tried to take a bite. I felt like we were being punked with the absolute worst rendition of basic dishes you could offer someone. How is this place in business?

There must've been a change of ownership or kitchen staff. Food quality has fallen quite a bit. We used to get burgers here often but every ingredient is worse. Beef patty is more processed, texture seems like it's cooked from frozen. Reminded me of a frozen Costco patty. Bun seemed drier and old. Cheese is totally different on the guiness burger. Red onions cut too thick and it was all I tasted. Fries were cooked for less time, floppy and not super crispy like they used to be. Kind of a strange experience. Not really worth the money anymore.

Old school local bar feel. Great atmosphere good crowd not rowdy fun time! Food is good typical bar food. Have live music sometimes and will play outside in court yard area every now and then.

It was Christmas, so not many restaurants were open. We rolled by and saw that this place was. It was a real dark atmosphere. I must say, we had an overall pleasant experience. Me, and one of my friends ordered a cup of chili and a salad. The chili came out with the meal, and the salad never came out at all. Obviously, I said the chili back. I had the Fillmore cheeseburger with homemade potato chips and it was very very good. It is one of the best restaurant burgers I've had in a long time, I give it 3 1/2 stars, but top notch for a dive bar.

A beautiful old building! Nice atmosphere with good space. The bar is huge! Earlier I read a review that commented on "apparent racism" because his friend of color was the only black person in the place . . . I was so tempted to take pictures of the folkS I saw as well as the employees. My experience was NOT the same. That is a serious judgment to make. It's not good for anyone and slams shut communication for ANYone wanting to have a cold beer and conversation. Just sayin. They make their own incredible chips. I could order only this and be happy. I had a French dip and my husband had sliders. It went great with his IPA as did my whiskey sour. Try it yourself - you can even sit outside. One more thing - there is much more parking behind the bar so don't drive around the block multiple times hoping to catch someone leaving!

Fillmore is great pub in downtown Plano. Good selection of food and pub food. The nachos and chicken were loaded high like you would expect. Fish and chips are kids favorite. Good bar area but one dartboard is sorta crowded in corner. Patio is terrific and rare in the area. Other good bar is right across street - if you don't like one, you will like the other.

Great service! Delicious pizza! Four stars only because the server recommended the mushrooms and actually we had to send them back. Would definitely go back again!

I've been here twice so far and neither time made a great impression on me. While the staff were friendly, the place itself wasn't. The food was okay and the drinks no different from anywhere else nearby. I've found other places better for both good and drink in the area.

I've been here a few times. Always delicious. Meet a friend for Friday lunch. Well and let's face it a couple of lunch beers. Called ahead checking on COVID...all good. Masks required. Staff has masks and gloves. Maintained distance in all conversation. Tables are socially distanced. Service is all walk up at the bar- no lingering. Seat yo self and relax. Great selection of drinks and always fantastic pours. Settled on a blood orange rattler. Ordered fish and chips. Fulfilled all my unknown needs that day. The beer was cold refreshing. The fish and chips were freaking fantastic. Fresh hot crispy yet tender. Good lunch portion. Second round of beers and finished up back to the office. As before, will be back again.

Really great staff! Everyone was super friendly. Especially when I left the hand picked flower arrangement I made for my date, I called the next day and the manager Nick was determined to help me find them and eventually did! Ummm above and beyond. My teenage heart is satisfied It was a night of great drinks on the patio with awesome live music playing. Satisfaction!

I can't say enough nice things about this place. Myself and my partner had our first real "date night" after having our son and we had such a great time here. Morgan, Kyle, Rusty, and the rest of the team were amazing and the music choices and aesthetic were just what we were looking for. Thank you for such a great time! -Katy and Kyle

I didn't try the food when I checked this place out, but I love the drinks and the vibe! It kind of reminds me of a Sherlock's bar, but on a smaller scale, and without pool tables or darts (board games are available though for playing). They have a couple of beers on tap, along with a selection of bottled beers. Their choices of liquors though are plentiful. Signature cocktails are offered, and I was happy with their house old fashioned. I do enjoy the fact that they offer a wide assortment of whiskey, with some as cheap as $6 for a shot! Service was excellent and the bartender was friendly and attentive. I would come back again to this awesome watering hole!!!

Great place in downtown Plano! Attentive staff and great atmosphere.. Food is really good . They make their pork rinds fresh ! Prices are average for bars in the area .

Service was terrible tonight. Our three meals were brought out at different times; mine was missing the chicken. Waitress gave very little attention to us and we had to wait at least 20 minutes for our check.

First time in downtown Plano, and RJ made it the best experience! Lots of different beers on draft to choose from for a great deal on Mondays. I hope RJ is bartending next time I am visiting for San Diego!

Good food, great environment...but the CoVid fear has killed it. To be fair, we have been here MULTIPLE times and had a great experience. Normally, I'd give them 4 stars...but this time there is no way to do that. You order from the bar (never seen that..anywhere) and even then, they don't circulate and refill drinks at all. They require you to open a tab because they don't circulate or service. They only pick up trash and they tried to pick up our appetizers too early, then when I walked up to the bar to order they tabbed me out without asking if I wanted anything (and we wanted food). We go out twice a week and only go to locally owned places and I've not seen another place that has such complacent service. There were people sitting/standing at the bar without masks and the staff was more engaged with one group in particular than ANYONE in the restaurant. No one in that group was wearing masks and they were not eating and two didn't have drinks. This is laziness hiding behind CoVid. We will wait to come back.

Fantastic service even on a very busy Friday night! The food was perfect! The Roast Beast sandwich just melts in your mouth! The jalapeño cream cheese burger was delicious (we requested our jalapeños grilled). The chicken and pepper jack cheese sandwich was so flavorful! I can never get enough of their fries so we had fries with all 3!

I LOVE their pork rinds. LOVE!!! My BIL always brings them to Thanksgiving, a must snack for all. They also comfortable outdoor seatings. Food is good too.

Wow, I have never had as great an experience as I had at the Fillmore Pub tonight. First of all, the music is excellent- where else can you hear Joy Division and Dr Dog while you have a top-shelf scotch? The service was incredible- everyone I interacted with, from Lance and April at the bar, Liz and Tyus, helping others- man, so friendly and real. Even though I am an old, boring dude, they made me feel right at home. Lance really knows his stuff, too- he guided me to exactly what I wanted to drink. I had been out here from California for 4 days, and this place was exactly what I needed. Worth the drive- and the rest of the area looks great, too. I wish I hadn't wasted my previous nights at more corporate places. Next time I come back, I am starting here.
