This is the best designer vintage store in Coachella Valley. Beautiful selection, wonderful layout. Some of the best window displays I have ever seen. There are some speedy items, but also some bargains to be found with the thrill of the hunt. Love!!!

Obsessed is an understatement. It’s an annual requirement to make a voyage here — and as a New Yorker, crossing the country and trekking through the desert makes the Fine Art truly my Mecca. Very rarely does one come across a vintage store that presents authentic, curated vintage — and not just that humbug that gets noise on TikTok. The store is carefully crafted and feels almost like walking into the closet of your chicest aunt that eternally lives in 1961. Did I mention that the prices aren’t crazy either?! Palm desert perfection.

Every time I visit Palm Desert, this is my go to destination! Beautifully curated vintage fashion and I always find something to take home! Prices are good and the sale rack always has a treasure or two. Highly recommended but hopefully you are not my size!

Imagine that you had a hot tub time machine that would transport you to any of your rich auntie's walk-in closets between the years of 1969 and 2001, and return with any items you can grab in 45 seconds. Like have you ever seen DoubleDare hosted by Marc Summers? Don't ask me why you only have 45 seconds, I didn't design the game or the hot tub time machines. So, TFAoD is kinda like that. Everything is trill.

Store Manager was absolutely delightful. She was intelligent, attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, attractive, & efficient. The store was clean, wonderfully appointed, with many consigned or sales beauties professionally showcased, items clearly separated by type, thus easy to find, with very fair pricing. Will I go back? Why wouldn't I!

Look no further! You have found the vintage clothing shop of your dreams. After checking out a few shops along Highway 111, we finally stepped inside this shop of wonders. It is heads and shoulders above the rest. The items here are all labeled with the period they are from which makes it so fun and are beautifully displayed, quality pieces that are in good repair. It's like playing dress up in your chic grandma's closet. The owner, Nicholas, is so nice and really knows his stuff. I could spend hours in here! I loved the sale rack where items are super reasonable. I bought a dress and my husband bought a wool shirt to wear to a 60's dinner party and they fit perfectly. I can't wait to return to find more classic treasures!

The best vintage store in the desert. I was able to score a vintage Gucci watch at 50% off. Had beautiful items that were high end designer accessories and clothing and a well organized store. Will definitely be back.

I've been selling Vintage items with Nicolas since 2020. I originally contacted him to meet with my Aunt. He knows his audience and selects items accordingly. He follows up promptly and offers an easier process than most shops. I highly recommend this place. Timeless, unique pieces. I just referred him to another friend of a friend who apparently has Vintage pieces going back to the 1800's. How exciting!

I don't normally have time for the amount of dedicated hunting vintage shopping requires but I did on a recent Saturday morning, arriving here just after the shop opened. I managed to comb through every rack, and tried on at least 20 pieces. I left the shop very pleased with my treasures which included a Lily Pulitzer dress, Brooks Brothers tuxedo pants, and Erdem lace pencil skirt, and an Alberto Capraro jacket. I found the selection at The Fine Art of Design to be stellar, and the prices fair.

High quality vintage clothing. Bought a very stylish navy blue cashmere sweater, which fits perfectly. The owner, Nicholas, went out of his way to help me pick out some test items. Highly recommend this place.

My must-visit vintage spot every time I head South. Nickolas' impeccable taste makes for an eclectic, well curated, nicely organized collection. I always leave with unexpected treasures, most recently a classic camel Rykiel wool jacket and a beautiful broad brimmed Borsalino!

Hands down one of the absolute BEST vintage stores I've ever been to. Went on a recommendation from Palm Springs Magazine & I'm so thrilled I did. Yajaira was attending the store when I walked in around 1:30pm, and was so kind, totally patient, and honest when I spent the next 2.5 hours going through literally everything (their selection is that good). At the end I couldn't decide which pieces to keep, so she consulted me as I tried on everything, and even offered 15% off on two items I will 100% be returning not only for the beautiful selection, but the amazing customer service. No snootiness here!! (Thank god!)

Once you walk in. It's like walking into a closet. Things here are super expensive so don't expect nothing less OK! Because the quality of the vintage pieces are superb. Although they do have a couple of sale racks. Sadly there is no plus sizes here. People back then were thinner take no offense but that's the truth though. Lots of vintage jewelry and vintage handbags. The store is well laid out organized to. Bring you're credit cards because you need to.

Nicholas Delgado your going to have one angry husband over here.... But no seriously.... I love that in Los Angeles there is an abundance of vintage resale stores but let's be honest here, there isn't anything like this place in Palm Springs. They have a great selection of high end products that anyone would die for. Everything from unknown designers to the Escada, Christain Dior, and Chanel. They have a huge selection of fur coats (yes please) that are in pristine condition to lightly warn shoes.. Manolo Blahnik anyone?! As well as some great unique designer vintage hat's, jewelry, and everything in-between. I recently bought a 1970's wedding dress ( yes you read that correctly) that will be getting the royal treatment and will be short, sassy and fitted for a very reasonable price as well as a long sparkly number I already can't wait to wear! Check this place out pronto..... huge great selection and sales staff are friendly but not pushy whatsoever!

Vintage books and Vintage fashion. The all white paint job and mannequins drew me in; the amazing content kept me. Amazing Burberry men's shirts from the 60's and 70's in great condition. I bought a 1965 golf book from owner Katherine Martinez. Lots of 80's and 90's stuff from the snowbird gay set; like colorful ties. On the same block as Pete Carson Golf & Tennis

Nicolas has the best vintage clothing store in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. His prices are fair, and the clothes are carefully chosen and in excellent condition. I've been shopping here for years and always make it a point to visit his beautiful store when I'm in the desert. If the store is closed when I come to town (a lot of businesses in the desert are seasonal), I just shoot him an email and am promptly responded to and set up an appointment. Nicolas himself is super nice, and I completely trust his opinion.

This store is on the pricier end of vintage stores but we had a lovely shopping experience there so we'll definitely be coming back! The shop attendant was very sweet and friendly and the vibe was very unpretentious and not stuffy at all. Definitely worth paying a visit! Plus, they had a robust selection of sale items so if you aren't looking to spend an arm and a leg, you can still pick up some goodies for a reasonable price!

I have to give the owners credit for making a vintage boutique out in the desert. I do a lot of thrifting, flea markets and vintage shopping and like many vintage boutiques this one exuded the same vibe. Now, I found a pair of Betsey Johnson shades that were "vintage-esq" but certainly not vintage for $20. So they have a mixed selection of both vintage and modern and when I say modern I mean more recent. Otherwise the stuff here was good. Because I do a lot of shopping (vintage) I am familiar with prices. I felt that some of the stuff in here were way overpriced. But, certainly a good selection. The little alcove that they have here set aside for books was good. If you dig vintage then I would suggest swinging by and perusing the shop. It's cute and the staff are nice. I like what they are trying to do and it's great that there is a vintage boutique now in the area aside of all the great vintage mod shops which boast more housewares and furniture and not so much in the clothing area. I do think that some of the prices are a tad bit much and this is not coming from a cheap person. I don't mind spending money on stuff but when I know that I can get something similar at a much better price by doing a little hunting and being patient then I don't see the point in spending $100+.

This is one of the most amazing vintage shops I've ever been to -- and I pride myself on my love of thrift. If you are a fan of vintage, it's a must see, if only to look. It's pricey. However, there are a couple small sale racks - one for $30 and one for $15, I think. He's got everything in there: books, art, shoes, handbags, hats (killer hats!), coats, slips, and most any clothing item you can imagine. And the man has exquisite taste. Again, it's pricey for my personal budget, but it's a store I'll come back to again and again just to see what's there and appreciate The Fine Art of Design. While perusing, I couldn't help but hope this store is appreciated for the level of quality and diversity in the merchandise. A must visit for the fashion aficionado.

I was pumped to see a new Vintage shop off the 111, as sometimes there can be slim, slim pickings for stylish goods in Palm Desert. It delivers! They have beautiful hand-picked vintage pieces that really fit well into any wardrobe. And the prices are amazing; 1,000,000 times cheaper than any vintage shops I used to frequent in San Francisco and LA. I've already been twice and found an adorable Ralph Lauren vintage skirt and a red stretchy vintage bathing suit. Everyone who works at the shop has great taste and are so welcoming. I will push the limits of their patience by coming back often! A must-visit for EVERYONE.

This is one amazing vintage resale store! Most items seem like they were priced correctly depending on style, condition and of course designer (from unknown designers, Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and plenty of others.) I personally have a budget, so I wouldn't have been able to do a shopping spree. But overall fair prices. The only thing I was bummed about they didn't have any vintage designer bags or purses. The day I was there, they were having a 50% of select styles. I purchased a coat for 15 bucks dated from the 1940's. Very cute and versatile! I would definitely go back during their Sale Season! :)

I always stared at this store when looking out the window from my dad's office and I finally decided to check it out and I am so glad I did. They have a nice selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories. It is a little bit on the higher end but it's worth it. I stopped by 2 weeks before my civil ceremony and bought a dress for the occasion despite already having one. It was just too cute to pass up! I'm fairly petite and thin so most of the clothes and shoes fit me. Just fyi, I'm a size 5-6 for shoes and 0 for clothes. Apparently sizes were smaller back then so it's perfect for me. Their hours are a bit limited however I read somewhere that the owner (I think he's the owner) takes appointments which is great. So I was able to make a shopping appointment with him (after sending an email) and bought a pair of shoes a few hours before my ceremony!! That's a 5 out of 5 for customer service in my book.

Walked in last year and found an I Magnin cocktail dress for an upcoming Hollywood-themed gala. It fit perfectly! My first visit! I'll be back for more this season!

I love, love, love this store! Nicholas is so knowledgeable about his vintage clothing. After years of holding on to my precious DVF wrap dresses, I decided it was time to give them up because they were 2 sizes too small. Hello turning 50! Nicholas was so sweet as I had just returned from my storage unit and didn't want to lug anymore clothes up the stairs into my closet. Nicholas went through my vintage clothing and knew the quality and value of my prized pieces. I will be returning there not only to bring more vintage items, but to shop at his store which offers one-of-a-kind vintage fashion I cannot find anywhere else in the Desert. At his store, I felt I had gone back in time to the original The Thomas Crown Affair! His eye for the best amazed me as I wondered through the store feeling all of the luxurious fabrics and designs which no longer exist. If you're a vintage clothing aficionado , then you HAVE to visit Nicholas at The Fine Art of Design. As the store's name implies, fashion, design and art lovers everywhere will appreciate Nicholas refined, eclectic taste in clothing and accessories, only his store provides. Thank you Nicholas for a great consignment experience!!

This isn't "vintage" as in "cheap," it's "vintage" as in "classic and of quality." I was quite impressed at the selection of designer clothing here, all in top condition. The focus is on women's apparel, but you will also find men's' clothing as well as a small selection of books, art and other curios. You won't be rag-picking when you shop here. Everything has the feel of being curated...of being selected to fit the vision of the shop. Worth a visit.

I love this tiny shop of good taste and treasures. The book section was amazing and I found an amazing vintage lamp there at a fraction of the cost you'd get on ebay or other places. I heart small stores so much!!

Definitely some gems here. The buyer/s know quality items - some come at a bigger price, but worth it to those who seek that kind of flavor. Great book selection, too. I had so much fun looking at every single item. Its hard not to leave with something, though you'd rather leave with many somethings!

There is no other place like this in Palm Springs. Hands down the highest quality and greatest prices for vintage. He carried every designer brand you can think of.

I love this place! One of the greatest Vintage stores I've ever been in. Nicolas is great. He knows his stuff. Also, he's funny and great to talk with. I've consigned here and made some money. he only takes the best of the best. don't just bring in anything... You will LOVE to shop there!

Expensive, but if you're looking for chic vintage - dressy or casual, it's pretty amazing. Among other things, they carry vintage (and beautiful) Louis Vuitton luggage. Sigh.

Great shop, although a little small. Many wonderful designers represented, in a wide variety of prices. Amazing sales person who was both enthusiastic, involved and helpful. Check out the two sales racks. I can't wait to return.
