The Finnish Sauna Society

I was fortunate to be invited as a guest to this 5 star treasure. Truly magical experience. Many sauna rooms, different styles including several smoke saunas. Also one very hot sauna. The etiquette was charming - each time you enter or leave a sauna you ask if anyone would like more "löyly" (sauna steam). The well kept gardens were like Eden today, although it was 23C and the sun was shining constantly. Sea temperature was 19C and several members commented that they prefer the winter season. If you have the chance to go, do so!

I'm a frequent visitor to Helsinki and Finland, and the guest of a member of this sauna club in January 201. I can highly recommend paying a visit. You could not be better served by this place - roasted alive in a variety of different saunas, and then frozen the next minute in the icy waters of the Gulf of Finland! Facilities excellent, and lounging around in the comfy fireside area, eating the pancakes made me feel 100%!

Probably the best sauna place in Helsinki. There are over 10 sauna's with different temperatures and sizes. There's a small restaurant inside where you can buy some drinks and tapas'. Only negative thing is, you need to be a member of the sauna association and the waiting line and time is quite long.. access only as an invitee, or through a membership.

Best place to relax in Helsinki! Very cozy, friendly, savusaunat and swimming in all year open sea is uncomparable! Very cozy cafeteria with fireplace and tasty special finish herkkut.

IMO The coolest "private club" in Finland.. So enjoyable, so relaxing and refreshing at the same time. The perfect original and real "sauna experience"... which you can only have in Finland.

The best place to enjoy sauna in Helsinki. Only for members and their guests though. From sauna number 5 there is the most beautiful view in Helsinki.

Founded in 1937 to study the beneficial health effects of sauna, today strives to make sauna known also internationally. This building with 7 saunas, each with different character, was erected in olympic year 1952, and is in active use among the members of the society.

Pure perfection. Maximum relaxation. If you're only visiting Finland, do try to get here (requires that you know someone who's a member).
