The Fish House Fistral

Charming little place. This restaurant is small but amazing with fantastic views of the ocean. Walked in and was greeted and shown to our table, the waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and specials. Had the open scallops to start, they were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing with the crisp ham giving it a nice crunch texture. Had the roast hotshell for the main, with a side of fries, only ordered the small bit it was plenty big enough. Everything was fresh and well cooked. To finish I had the pavlova, strawberries had a lovely crunch to them, the meringue and a nice chew and the clotted cream give it a nice touch of dairy, perfect.

What an amazing experience. The view, the food and the staff were all top notch! They made my partners birthday so memorable! When I come back to Newquay I’ll have to pay you guys a visit.

Found this place after a hard day surfing. Fantastic seafood and a fantastic sunset view to eat it with. Nice wine list. The fish is perfect, they make absolutely lovely chips. How many times do you get a disappointing chip - not here, they understand the science of frying!! Seafood platter will not disappoint. It’s small and always full so that’s tells its own story. Knocks Rick stein for six, we were robbed there! Their mussels are the best I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of mussels. Look at that surf

Could not recommend The Fish House more! Everything from start to finish was fantastic, such friendly welcoming staff and absolutely amazing food. We will definitely be making the near 4 hour journey back to be trying more dishes!! Thank you for making our first wedding anniversary one to remember! ❤️

Wow wow wow. What else can I say! Me and three friends were completely blown away. What an experience. From a very warm welcome, to ordering drinks, to being sat right near the kitchen peering in and seeing the masters of their craft at work. Incredible seafood, definitely met my expectations and much more. The staff were wonderful and so professional yet the whole experience was very relaxed. The food was stunning and delicious. I can’t say enough favourable things about this restaurant and already booked up to come back again.

Loved it. Not overpriced and great atmosphere of folk enjoying a meal and an evening. Extra marks for sunset.

Fantastic restaurant. The food is exceptional and a big shout out to Sam who looked after us on our visit and made our anniversary celebrations top class.
