The Fish House Fistral

A small but very cozy restaurant on the shore of an amazing beach. We came unexpectedly and did not book a table (although we should have). We asked to be placed on the street overlooking the beach, a table was prepared for us, blankets were given and our order was taken. As soon as the food was ready and served to the table, it started to rain. We were very lucky that at that moment a table inside became available, and we were quickly moved, for which I sincerely thank you. The food was, very beautifully presented, and also incredibly tasty. The service and taste of the food are simply unforgettable, we were very impressed, and as happy as possible that we came.

Hands down our favourite meal in Cornwall. The food was truly incredible. Fresh and so flavourful. We were only able to get a random 3:30pm booking on a Wednesday (well worth a late lunch) but definitely book ahead. Also worth noting, the service was exceptional. Thank you, Paige!

Just the best evening out every time. Haven’t been for a while as we’ve been just so busy but we’ve both said we need to book in again soon. Crab and lobster 🦞 specials were amazing. Always such friendly, welcoming staff. Fabulous food and the view is just out of this world. We absolutely love it here. Can’t fault it. Thank you as always for having us. Our family enjoyed a delicious meal this evening at the Fish House. Staff were so kind and friendly and offered a great service even to our moody teenagers who were disappointed with the wet weather. All our meals were delicious and so well presented. We would highly recommend the sea bass and the Hake and also the fries are an absolute must! Definitely our best meal in Newquay. Thanks

This is an excellent place for seafood!!! I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Restaurant was fully booked online for days, so we walked in yesterday after watching the sunset to inquire for a table and we were lucky to get a table for a late seating. So here we are today - We had the new quay bay lobster special, the crab and king prawn linguine - both were absolutely fabulous. If we visit Cornwall again, we will surely be back. Highly recommended.

This seafood restaurant was lovely! All the fish dishes we ordered were cooked beautifully and tasted great. The mussels in particular were the best mussels I’ve ever had! The staff were friendly and welcoming and even gave us a little congrats for just getting married. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would definitely recommend!

My wife and I had scallops to start I had the hake and my wife had the sea bass we ate here 10 years ago and we where looking forward to it and we were not disappointed everything was lovely and the bill was just over £100 with a few drinks so price wise not too bad either. We will definitely be back.

Really good vibe in the place, very friendly staff and I liked the open kitchen. I loved the starters, outstanding seafood chowder. The seafood platter wasn’t great in my opinion, the mussels were a bit chewy and didn’t taste fresh and it was a bit overpriced for what you get. Overall I had a nice evening
