"The Fish House is the only place in Miami where pirates and jazz collide (please email us if we’re wrong). The dining room decor of this Sunset seafood spot includes a buccaneer corralling a shark and a giant gold seahorse. But The Fish House has a secret: an area called BackRoom, where they host live music Wednesday through Saturday (Wednesday is jazz night). BackRoom is separated from the rest of Fish House, and it feels like stepping into a nautical Mardi Gras afterparty, with purple and green beads strung on a lamppost, glass chandeliers, and giant bubbles hanging from the ceiling. There’s a $7 cover charge, and it’s better to call and reserve a table than take your chances at the door. It’s a great spot to eat some shrimp and enjoy sea bass while jamming to jazz bass. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

"The Fish House is the only place in Miami where pirates and jazz collide. The dining room decor of this Sunset seafood spot includes a buccaneer corralling a shark, a giant gold seahorse, and more trophy fish than your Uncle Troy’s man cave. But The Fish House has a secret: an area called BackRoom, where they host live music Wednesday through Saturday. Wednesday is jazz night—our favorite. Thursday is all about the blues, and Fridays and Saturdays are a mix of local artists and DJs. BackRoom is separated from the rest of Fish House, and it feels like stepping into a nautical Mardi Gras afterparty, with purple and green beads strung on a lamppost, glass chandeliers, and dozens of giant bubbles hanging from the ceiling. There’s a $5-$7 cover charge, and it’s better to call and reserve a table than take your chances at the door. It’s a great spot to eat some shrimp and enjoy sea bass while jamming to jazz bass. If you're curious, you can see a schedule of their upcoming live music schedule ." - Virginia Otazo

"Fish House is a South Miami seafood restaurant with a huge menu, a lovely raw bar selection, and some of the most consistent live music programming in the city. They’ve thankfully adapted through the pandemic and are still putting on shows - they’ve moved it from the their indoor stage to the parking lot where they have some covered outdoor seating. You can see a schedule of their upcoming performances online." - ryan pfeffer

I loved it! If you’re looking for delicious fish or seafood, this is the place to go. The restaurant featured live music and was beautifully decorated. Both the food and drinks were fantastic. We only had to wait a few minutes for a table, and the food arrived quickly afterward. 🤩🤩

We were a party of 6. The place is cozy and near our house so we took family that came from out of town. The place was a little warm, not sure if AC was working. The food was delicious and fresh. Adam our server was very professional and gave us good service although the food took a little while to come out. Thank you and we will return.

Wonderful, fresh and delicious seafood. I have been going to this family owned restaurant for decades, and have never once been disappointed. From the smoked fish dip to the new addition of a sushi and sashimi menu, everything is flavorful and absolutely impeccably prepared. The service is always friendly and anticipating all your needs. I highly recommend The Fish House, it is our go to restaurant for the best and freshest seafood in Miami.

I have been here a couple times now. The service is great, by the server and the gentleman who helps bus the tables. I always enjoy the fresh food here such as the Mussels fra Diablo or any other fresh fish options, rather than deep fried. The flavors are superb. The cocktails are another reason to come here as they are reasonably priced for a Miami area restaurant. The prices for food have gone up a couple dollars on items since I have last come here, but the portions are still plenty. I will return again

I live in west palm beach and when I’m in the area, this is my go-to spot to curve my seafood cravings. 10/10. Definitely a hidden gem! Seafood is so fresh it reminds me of being back home in The Bahamas 🇧🇸. The prices cannot be beat for the quality and flavor of the food. Service can improve, some of my items were missing and I ended up getting them close to the end of my meal.
