Super awesome little restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for a quick bite. We visited on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately. Our waitress was great!! We ordered the lobster deviled eggs, chicken strips and wedge salad. The lobster deviled eggs were fantastic!! The sauce was perfect!! The chicken tenders were delicious and the salad was awesome!! It’s such a shame they’re closing in a few days. We were looking forward to returning!

Another hit brought to you by the folks who own and operate Ketzler's Schnitzel Haus And Biergarten in Granbury. Food and service were excellent. If you enjoy fried fish and fries then this place is a must. Thick crunchy beer batter around clean flaky large portions of fish. Great tatar sauce to match. We also had a po boy while we were here that was just as good.

Stopped in for lunch. The calamari was incredible and served within minutes. The fish tacos were amazing! I’m not sure what the other bad reviews are about…. No negativity during this visit. The atmosphere is great. The service was good and the food was all very hot and fresh.

Sweet little place for a Sat date night. We are outside and the band started soon after we arrived. Sunny was a marvelously attentive server, food was great and really fresh! We’ll be back!

Dinner: Mahi Mahi and Filet Salmon with rice and veggies Drinks: Blue Lagoon and House Margarita (x2) Price: $87 We had the best experience at this restaurant! Not only was the service out of this world, the team who made the Drinks and food were so good, it would be a crime to take it home. I havent eaten a whole meal in ages but this one was well worth it! They have live music some nights which parts amazingly with the atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend this joint. Thanks to the best service team a customer could ask for!

This was a good first experience I love the atmosphere it’s cozy and a cute little corner restaurant I had the steak tacos (taco Tuesday) they were so yummy. Husband got the Mahi Mahi tacos and I’ve never had them but they were worth trying for sure my grandfather had the catfish and let me tell you the catfish is really worth it the filets were huge and super yummy.. cod was decent along with blackened shrimp my grandmother got a little pricey but overall great experience and great food. Worth trying the service was excellent!!

Everything was wonderful, the staff was extra friendly, the setting was nice and cozy and the food was absolutely delicious! Our server Emily was marvelous. I'll definitely visit again if we come to Grandbury.

We came on opening night. It was a soft opening with staggered seating. The food is very good and the restaurant is a perfect addition to the Granbury square. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service was fabulous.

Food was OK. Thuy's fried oysters came with a remoulade (?) sauce. Not to her liking she asked for cocktail sauce, and they charged us for it ($1). Crazy. Server seemed apologetic, like "I know it's crazy, but that's policy." Well then give us a choice. My fish and chips were good, but pricey. We didn't feel like the value was there. Glad we tried it.

Lobster rolls were no where near $28.00's worth. The veggies were great! The coconut shrimp were great. Hamburger was very dry. Cajun fettuccine was too much butter. The live music was great but too loud. You couldn't have any kind of conversation. I'd go back just for the coconut shrimp.

This restaurant has the best Cajun Alfredo with shrimp &lobster roll we have had ! Definitely a stop you need to go to when in Granbury!

Small but great service. The Downtown square is very busy on weekends and most nights after 6Pm. Parking is sometimes an issue. If you have health issues be ready to walk. The food and service is excellent and worth it. The atmosphere of a classic pub. Live music on Wednesday - Saturday on most weeks. Friendly staff and bartenders. Try to get here by 5pm or earlier if you want a quiet meal. The regular customers get there after and you may have a smaller table. Check out the beer garden and say hi to the mermaid. This is my favorite place to eat in Granbury. The fish is excellent as is everything on the menu.

Great food and all-around service every time we've been there. The food is always fresh and always tasty and we've never had a bad experience with the wait staff - which is saying something these days! Angelique and her staff do a tremendous job

We went here on our way to see a play at the Grandbury Theatre. The service was excellent and the food was delicious!!

Great food recommend the pretzel the fish and chips!!!!! we ate in the back which was really a nice change. I understand on the weekends they have a band which would be fun.

We stumbled upon this gem last summer while strolling the Square. Now, it's a must for us when in Granbury. This place has friendly service, the atmosphere is fun, and there is music on the weekends. We always start with the Shrimp Cocktail. Fresh and delish. The Calamari Dinner is fantastic and we share as an appetizer. We always get the Proper Fish and Chips. Hands down -- some of the best! The Shrimp, Scallops, and Grits are phenomenal, too. When finished, we head out to the back patio and enjoy local music.

Great food and appetizers I had the fish and chips. But changed the chips to Mac n cheese Fish and dude was fabulous

Very pleased with the food, service and ambiance of this local seafood restaurant! Our party of four enjoyed a variety of seafood entrees and enjoyed the overall experience prior to a performance at the Granbury Theater.

Outrageously overpriced food and unacceptable service... dusty nasty and cockroaches everywhere along with bird poop all over the back porch I wish zero stars was an option....

Great food & friendly staff! We had the lobster deviled eggs which were so tasty! For the main course we got the lobster rolls! Very tasty, the lobster was cooked perfectly, and the portion size was very good. My only complaint is the rolls were so soggy that as soon as we picked up our lobster roll, it completely fell apart! Other than that, everything was perfect!

I am definitely a seafood and salad guy and all I can say is delicious! I had the wonderful buffalo shrimp appetizer with a salad and added blackened mahi. Yummy and wonderful service!

Such a great addition to downtown Granbury. Right on the corner with both a front and back patio plus seating inside. We chose to sit at the bar and have a few drinks before ordering food to take home. Bartenders were friendly and took great care of us. There is beer, wine, mixed drinks including a blender option for frozen and had seltzers (think white claw) so plenty of choices. We snacked on some hush puppies while enjoying some live music. Ordered fish tacos and chicken strips to go - both were excellent and the portions were huge. Really excited to add this new spot to our dinner rotation!

Had dinner here over the weekend. It was pretty good overall. The highlight was a maple cider old fashion! Super tasty and hot the spot on a cool damp night. My wife had a hot tottie which was OK. For dinner I had the fish tacos which were good. Two grilled Mahi-mahi tacos smothered in toppings. Messy but tasty. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp which were just OK, lacking a little in spices/flavor. This place is a casual place, right on the square in Granbury which is nice to walk around with plenty of places to pop into for food or cocktails. Overall a pretty good experience.

In my search for the best catfish in town I would say this place has inched into the lead. Right amount of batter on the filet and a firm fresh piece of fish make a winner to me. The service was good and atmosphere appropriate. All good I'll be a regular.

Don't think it is a full 4-star restaurant but that's my option and it is definitely higher than a 3. Food was good, service was okay. We were in there just after they opened for the day and they had "just run out" of a couple of basic items. I hope it lasts, it's a nice addition to the square.

Very disappointing. The bread of the po boy sandwich was mushy, romaine was pale and wilted. Only 2 nasty breaded oysters on the entire sandwich. The fried catfish tasted like it had been in the freezer too long. The only thing that was remotely good was the seasoned fries.

Proper fish n chips was delicious. Light and flaky beer batter cod. English style chips are hot, crunchy outside, soft inside. Fast, friendly service too. I went to the "best fish n chips in Ireland" and this was better. No offense to Ireland. Only "hmmm" moment was I couldn't bring my bottle of water in. I had to drink it or toss it before entering. But I understand it must be a legal thing, maybe?

A no go. The coconut shimp appetizer was good then it all slid downhill Took forever to get our meal Proper fish and chips needs to be renamed proper RIP OFF. One piece of fish and absolutely horrible french fries. We complained and no one cared to listen to what we had to say. Will not be back.

Stopped in with my son on a Friday around 6 pm. We were seated immediately and the bartender also served as our waiter. Even though this kept him extremely busy he still managed to be speedy and courteous. The food also came out pretty fast and was very good!

Mediocre at best. The gal who took my order forgot everything I ordered. The fries weren't that great. The beer was good. The salad was welted.

We went in for lunch and ordered chicken tenderloin sandwich, a shrimp po boy and a catfish basket. I also ordered the shrimp basket but the waitress offered the dinner portion which came with 12 shrimp instead of 5 for a few dollars more so my little one and I decided to share. Besides the food taking awhile the po boy came out in a hamburger bun with a a few shrimp layered on the bun... definitely not a poboy. The catfish basket for $15 came out with 1 filet which my daughter would not even eat as it tasted like fish smells(good catfish is not like this). When the food came out we had 7 shrimp so I politely asked about the other shrimp since we had decided to share. The manager came out and said the dinner portion only should have 8 shrimp but she will give me more and they do not serve dinner portions at lunch very rudely. At this point I let her know the waitress is the one that asked if we wanted the lunch or dinner portion not me requesting it originally. I was not going to say anything about the quality of the food but decided I would since she was being so snappy. I told her that was not a poboy and that the fish was nasty and she explains they are redoing their menu soon and that's why they did not have a hoagie roll(still not the same as a poboy) and maybe I could try them once their new menu came out. She brought me the check and let me know she had discounted the meals since they were not good or as advertised... she took off $4 out of $85 I don't mind paying for good food but 4 out of 6 barely touched the food which sometimes is just a bad choice but the attitude was what was bad... then she reminded me again she had given me a discount and to come back and let them try again. Nope NEVER again! 2 out of 3 times were crap. Much better options around the square so do NOT waste your time or money.

To say that, upon entering, my expectations were set a bit low - is an understatement. I'm so happy we stayed! We sat at the bar, just because it was chilly outside. Though the service was pretty slow, the bartender and waitstaff were very friendly. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer, and it was good. Maybe a minute overdone, but it was what one would expect from fried calamari. I will say that I enjoyed the lighter-than-expected batter! We ordered the Mahi-Mahi Tacos, and the special: Skirt Steak Tacos. The skirt steak was chewy and generally uninteresting, BUT! Those fish tacos are the stuff foodie dreams are made of! Lightly grilled, and delightfully seasoned, the fish could easily stand on its own, and probably deserves to! The tacos were served with a grilled pineapple salsa that was unexpectedly stellar! And the fries! I don't even eat fries but these "proper chips" as they're referred to, are crunchy on the outside and like mashed potatoes on the inside. So good! The whole plate paired beautifully with the Deep Ellum's Dallas Blonde draft. I can't wait to go back for another order of the Mahi-Mahi Fish Tacos.... one order for there and one order to-go!

They charged each person $2 extra dollars to "split" a plate. Even on entrees that didn't require extra plates. So if two ppl split a plate it was $4 extra for the same amount of food as of one person was eating it. They do not disclose this prior to ordering. They also charged a gratuity of 25% for groups over 6 without disclosing this prior. They charged me a credit card surcharge when I used my debit card and when asked they said that my card must be able to be ran as a credit card and that was that. I ordered a plate at lunch time and was charged for the dinner portion and when I asked they stated that on weekends they charge dinner prices. I wish they would have communicated all these extra charges ahead of time instead of adding a ton of fees to our receipt after eating. When we brought it up to the manager she stated it was a business and passive aggressively said "well I'm glad y'all ate all yalls food". We had no issues with the food. We were explaining they should have disclosed this information bc it was very deceptive.

Glorified fast food. To quote chef Robert Irvine, there is nothing special here, nothing that sets them apart from other restaurants. The "shrimp cocktail" was six jumbo shrimp in a margarita glass, with a bit of lettuce under a plastic cup with bottled cocktail sauce. Hey Fishersman's Corner, here's a free tip, go to Pinterest and look up shrimp cocktail recipes. Here's another free tip, instead of frozen "chips" ie fat frozen fries, get potatoes, use a slicer, slice thin, fry, boom - chips. Your welcome.

My first review moaned we couldn't assign 6 stars. Now make that 7 for quality consistency across the menu. I had the fish tacos just recently, and was blown away by the intense and savory flavor. The chipotle sauce had just a hint of heat, and I'm not much for hot hot hot foods!! The mahi-mahi had an agreeably dense texture, and just what the tacos needed. Cod just wouldn't have carried the day! Our server, Dawn, was amazing, efficient, super pleasant, and prompt. Couldn't hope for more! We go to a monthly play at the Theater just down the street, so not only is this super convenient, but such a superb place to come. I believe we are now officially "regulars".

We love the food and atmosphere at The Fisherman Corner!! The portions of Cod in the fish and chips is amazing! They're huge!! Great drinks and attitude from the team! Will keep recommending all our friends to FC!!

This place looked cute on the outside, I walked in and it smelled fishy. I ordered a margarita that was 100% the worst margarita I have ever had. I asked my server to change it and he was very kind and switched out my drink to something basic I requested that couldn't be messed up. Then my chicken tenders arrived. I ordered chicken tenders because I was under the impression chicken tenders were hard to mess up. They came and were the worst chicken tenders I have ever had in my life; the breading has no classic fried texture and fish seasoning on it?? Fries tasted like the fryer needed an oil change months ago.

We've been wanting to try this spot and finally got a chance... it didn't disappoint! I went with classic fish & chips, they were perfectly classic with a touch of malt vinegar! My wife tried the fish tacos, and according to her they were the best she's ever had! Great spot... Definitely head'n back soon!

What a great hidden gem. My wife and I were looking for a place to celebrate her birthday and decided to try this place out. She chose the grilled shrimp and cheese grits, and I had the coconut breaded swordfish. We shared the food as we often do and we're both amazed at how good it was. Definitely will be taking our friends there soon..

Tacos were great... Beer was cold, service was good. Apparently this review isn't long enough for yelp, so this is a filler sentence. Blah blah.

We had a party of 3. Two of us ordered the Proper Fish-N-Chips $14 which was absolutely delicious. It was not overly battered, quite thick and served with tarter sauce with an offer of malt vinegar. Our entire party really liked the fries which had a nice outer crisp. The 10 hush puppies $4 came with a choice of 1 sauce. The remoulade sauce we chose was a perfect compliment. My hubby ordered the catfish po' boy with fries $14. He also enjoyed his meal. It was well filled with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, tasty sauce and a nicely breaded catfish. I only wish my dish came with coleslaw or served with 2 sides for the price point. 1 soda $3.50, 2 teas at $3.00 each which I thought should've been $2 for tea since it wasn't soda also since we didn't get refills. Our lunch bill for 3 people $56.85 plus tip was about $68. Pretty expensive for lunch so next time water all around and no extra orders. Still craving the dish days later. LOL!

There were two of us in our party that came in at 1 o'clock on a Wednesday. So, the restaurant was not busy. We ordered two catfish baskets which consist of catfish and french fries. When our order came out, it was just catfish and our waiter who also the bartender told us that they had just dropped some french fries. I'm not sure why did they didn't drop the french fries when the order was received. After we finished our catfish, the french fries arrived. We never had any ice in our unsweetened iced tea. The owner's son and several employees were seated at the bar which took our waiter's attention as he was busy serving them. Not impressed.

We ate here back in December and left thinking it was the best food and drinks we had experienced in a long time!! The service great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was fun! We went back today with such high hopes and looking forward to a great meal. Sadly, it was not the same at all. First, they had no knowledge of our reservation that we had made 24 hours in advance, but seated us anyway because they weren't full. Our drinks took so long to come out and once they did, one was wrong and misdescribed. The margaritas that were excellent the last time, were so bad that we didn't even finish them. The cheese grits that we raved about the last time, were completely different! They were jalapeño flavored. We double checked the menu and it just says "grits with tons of cheese". The mozzarella sticks that had tasted homemade in December were definitely not the same quality. In the end, we were just sad that we paid almost a $100 for less than mediocre food. I hope tonight was just an off night for them, but honesty I don't know that we will go back to try again.

The food was over cooked fried food. We ordered calamari and it was almost unrecognizable, it was probably frozen to begin with then over fried. I had fish tacos and the fish was dark meat and did not taste good. I will not go back.

This place has a really wonderful back patio and you have to check out their live music on Friday nights really amazing local artists! Definitely try out their fish and chips!

Food was very tasty and prices were reasonable, cute ambiance with it being on the square and in a historic building. The fish tacos had great flavor, highly recommend those. Great little seafood restaurant, definitely worth a recommendation!

First time here . Cute cozy wharf feel. I felt we were in Boston . Service is prompt even with all the staffing shortages everywhere . Music quietly playing and good playlist . Food , was delicious . Fish and chips great filets . Mahi mahi tacos were awesome . Calamari appetiser was the best we have had anywhere in Granbury . We will add this to our favourite list for granbury .

Super happy to have another "different type food" restaurant on the square. Been once and will definitely go again. I am also looking forward to trying out the back patio there.

Everything we got was delicious. My kids are picky eaters and they are the Calamari up super fast. They both liked the kids shrimp baskets. I ordered the Mahi-Mahi plate and OH MY was it good! My wife ordered the fish tacos and those were good too. We will definitely be back! Anyone with a review saying something tasted bad doesn't deserve to leave reviews. This place deserves a 10/5 for flavor.
