Best Places to Eat and Drink in Northern Michigan for Viewing Fall Leaves | Eater Detroit

"Perched to catch sunset views over Lake Superior, I found the Fitz to be a favorite for barbecue and a solid whiskey program; the unassuming 1950s-era motor lodge was remodeled during the pandemic into six gorgeous one-bedroom king suites, each with patios or balconies overlooking the water, so I recommend booking not only for dinner but for the night." - Stacey Brugeman

Nice restaurant inside of the beautiful and ornate, art deco Ambassador Inn. I've only tried their food at the bar of Gin Rickey, but will one day sit in their dining room and order more than just appetizers. This is usually the go to before a concert at The Rave/Eagle's Ballroom. The bar is rectangular and when busy, can take a minute for service. The staff have always been very polite despite getting slammed before shows. There's a nice outside seating area as well. Sometimes you'll run across one of the performers after the show in their patio during the summer.

Great place to grab a bite before a show. We had the coconut shrimp, Cubano, and Caesar chicken wrap.

We really enjoyed our experience here last night. It’s located in the Ambassador hotel. My girlfriend had purchased a Valentine Day special, which essentially gave us each an appetizer, salad/soup, entree and desert for a very reasonable price. We ordered our drinks first. I decided on the BA Manhattan and she ordered the Valentine’s Kiss. Both were very enjoyable. As for food, she ordered the shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, filet, and chocolate cake. I ordered the ahi tuna, the strawberry champagne salad, the filet, and the churro desert. Food was excellent and we enjoyed everything that we ordered. Particular standouts were the filets and the deserts. Our filets were prepared and cooked perfectly to our preference, and we both ordered it with the portobello bleu topping (which was outstanding.). We both enjoyed the chocolate cake, but the churro desert was out of this world! They were so fresh and served with marshmallow cream and caramel drizzle. One of the best desserts I have had in a long time. We were told they do brunch there. We will definitely be back to try that. Our server was Cristal and she was great. Very attentive and kind. The whole staff was great last night.

Always love going to the Ambassador Hotel and Gin Rickey’s! Erin was our bartender and server yesterday. A true professional like her makes this place a must do when in the area. Kudos to the entire staff for the warm welcome by all. 😊

Google
The server dumped my husband's food down my back before a concert. That's not the bad part because I understand it was an accident. The bartender bought us a a beer for that. My new shirt was completely ruined from ketchup which a free beer did not make up for. Both bartenders totally ignored us after that and we couldn't even get another drink. Had to wait and wait for the bill. I had to eat while my food was warm and my husband had none, then I finished and then my husband finally got his food. Also was a bit creeped out by the bartender trying to clean me up.

Google
Total disaster. No staff! No host, no bussers, one inexperienced server. Mass confusion. People wandering around waiting to be seated. Some sat themselves but no one ever came to their tables, got up and left. We managed to get a cocktail after about 35 minutes, ordered food from the only server, had to cancel all but the appetizer after waiting forever. Was a celebration and needless to say was hugely disapointing. Close the doors and figure it out.

Google
We had a delicious lunch at The Fitz. The special was the Monte Cristo. It was amazing. And the fries were super thin and crispy. I had the potato soup as an appetizer. The sandwich was so big, I had enough for lunch the next day. Our server was super, and we were too full to try the 95th Anniversary chocolate cake. Something for our next visit.

Google
This was our first visit to the Ambassador Hotel home of The Fitz and Gin Rickey. This restaurant and partner bar was a wonderful experience and a beautiful venue. Dedicated to F. Scott Fitzgerald. The night started with a couple cocktails in the pre-prohibition themed bar Gin Rickey. A great selection of wines and signature cocktails. I had a Sazerac and their signature Manhattan both were outstanding. We also had a flatbread since it was happy hour, very food and the bar staff is both very knowledgable and excellent at their craft. Next, we went into the restaurant to have dinner. My wife had the Scallops and I had the Short Rib entree. Both were excellent and again our server was first class. They treated us with some champagne for our celebration. The entire staff also gave us some history of this wonderful hotel. We look forward to going back.

Yelp
Stopped in before a show at The Rave. Five of us. TLDR: I think the only positive thing about our experience was that we could walk across the street to the show. Upon entering it wasn't too clear where we needed to go. We figured it out eventually but the empty host stand was in no way a clue. Four, five, six staff walked past as we waited. For ten minutes. When seated, service was super slow -- think 45 minutes for our first round of drinks after sitting down. Truthfully I felt bad for the servers. It was clear they had no idea how any of this is supposed to work and/or it was first day on the job for everyone. The menu was ... interesting. Did not expect a full on Mexican selection, which in itself would not have been bad. However the "food person" and the "drink person" need to figure out who they want to be - collaboratively. None of the drinks (gin mostly) went with the food in ANY kind of way. Nothing 'New American' about anything. The bar must have run out of appropriate glassware since all our drinks came in a brandy snifter. The drinks arrived after our food and we were never offered a second round. Food - eh. Unmemorable, but not offensive or disgusting. Again, would have liked a steak with my gin drink -- or maybe a margarita to go with the chippy salsie. One dish was unavailable, but not communicated at the order. We ended up needing to refill our own waters. You get the idea. As far as the space itself - cute. But small. Can't say it was cozy? Always liked the Ambassador, and the bathrooms were a fun distraction from the service. Minus the part where they ran out of (cloth) hand towels. So much potential - with a lot of revisions. Nothing I would want to do again - just like The Rave. We shall call it "The Fritz"

Yelp
Santa brunch was great-employees were all super friendly and kind. Coloring sheets that were so adorable and Santa/hotel themed were great for my daughter. I had green eggs and ham (the eggs were with pesto mixed it) and phenomenal!

Yelp
This was new restaurant of the week and I got rock star parking in front of the side doors. The place is in the Ambassador hotel which has the restaurant, bar/Gin Rickey and Starbucks. The restaurant is really nice and upscale with white table cloths, cloth napkins and large art pieces on the walls. Service was great and I was promptly seated and watered. Of course I'm having a Gin Rickey from the bar of the same name with lunch. I wasn't crazy about the menu or the soup of the day, carrot ginger soup but the Milwaukee cheese steak sounded good with frys. It's shaved prime rib, melted provolone, sautéed mushrooms on French bread with an onion au jus. The Gin Rickey was awesome with aged Rehorst barrel Gin and a big cube of ice infused with lime zest. The restaurant had 3 tables in service so my lunch came quick and it looked good. The frys were cooked to order hot with a crispy shell, soft center and seasoned nicely. The au jus was ok but it lacked seasoning and any rich flavor, it looked better than it tasted. The Milwaukee cheese steak was good in fresh toasted bread dipped in the au jus. Overall this was a great place for an adult cocktail with lunch in a fancy restaurant in a nice hotel.

Yelp
Always eat here when in town. Food is great, portions are large enough to split, and prices are very reasonable. This trip our waiter Corey was great! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the fare. Don't know why this place isn't packed all the time.

Yelp
Went here for a dinner on a Friday night (after 7) and it was dead!! No idea why because my Lordy... we got the fish fry (beer battered) and the artichoke spinach dip for an appetizer.. I'm in love in general but that dip... wow!! The service was great as well as you would hope with no one else being there. Our waitress knew we had a time table for an event across the street. She was mindful the whole time but when i reminded her that our time was coming up, she promptly brought the bills and walked us through paying and the questions asked on the kiosk at the end. I will definitely be going back!!

Yelp
Amazing service. We went on New Year's eve and booked it very last minute! Greeted by the kindest server who was very passionate and knowledgeable about each dish. Enjoyed the New Years special with a great cut of prime rib. Was surprised to see only 2 other tables. I would definitely come here again.

Yelp
Was surprised at how elegant and formal in an art-deco way, the dining room was. Elegant, but maybe a bit sterile. Service was not good. Despite the fact that we got a relatively early start, and the fact that the dining room was slightly over half full, it took quite a while for us to get greeted by server. Ordered a glass of wine for my mom and it took a really, really long time to arrive. Waiter made us feel like we were interrupting his otherwise delightful evening. (He did warm up a bit, after repeated attempts by me to break the ice - mom thought it was only because he knew we'd be calculating the tip shortly). That said, mom did end up with a wine she really liked (thanks to waiter recommendation) and the food was outstanding. Caesar salad was excellent - more than enough for two. They don't have actual anchovy fillets, but plenty of anchovy paste in dressing - I liked it a lot. Eventually we got bread and olive oil. I didn't try it, mom said the bread wasn't uninteresting. We were surprised that the menu was fairly limited and that there were more sandwiches than any other category on the menu. Given the formality of dining room, so sandwiches surprised us. My scallops were fantastic, accompanied by some chunks of pork belly that were tender, crispy and juicy. Mom's filet was also excellent, "could cut it with my fork." I tried a piece and it was very, very good. Didn't consider dessert, as mom was anxious to get out of there - took a pretty long time considering we didn't dawdle once we were served. The score 3 is the average of (4 for the food) and (2 for service).

Yelp
Classy upscale breakfast or brunch place in a beautiful early 1920s Art Deco hotel with very reasonable pricing considering the beautiful digs. Biscuits and gravy, blueberry pancakes, steak and eggs (maybe the best steak and eggs in the area), and eggs Benedict are all very good. I've always had excellent service here, I like that the waitstaff doesn't talk in that pretentious and annoying sing song voice and doesn't interrupt conversation. Service is a big improvement over the Envoy (after remodeling this is the replacement) where they would upcharge for certain glasses and if I ordered ice or no ice in my drinks. This is my new go-to if I want to treat someone to breakfast and show them I've got good taste and also my new first choice for breakfast by myself when I want to daydream about Daisy Buchanan and Jordan Baker.

Yelp
Have enjoyed several evenings here for dinner over the past year. The food is very tasty and the ambiance is simply unique. It was especially nice to take my father who years ago could recall a less stellar hotel. But now was over joyed with the renovation. The bar is great for a gin Ricky Our waitress was very bubbly. Service a tad slow but overall nothing too disruptive A blast of the past

Yelp
This Art Deco restaurant has a great brunch! Service was prompt and friendly. Great drinks and fantastic coffee. Bacon was crisp and well done. Pumpkin pancakes were moist with a great flavor. As an added bonus, we were given a huge cinnamon roll to share while our meals were being prepared. If you're a fan of Art Deco design, you'll love the beautifully restored hotel which houses this hidden gem of a restaurant. If, like my friend and I, you tried the two trendy breakfast places in the area only to be told there's over an hour wait, go a couple miles east and enjoy great food and drink in an elegant, quiet setting.

Yelp
So we'd been here when it was the Envoy and the Ambassador bar...now it's Gin Rickey and The Fitz. Sounds like a trendy band from Riverwest or something....but anyway, the long and short of it is you should check this spot out. They redid the space. I think in Gin Rickey they updated the paint and sconces; looks nice. Same layout. The Fitz was more updated... slightly different room layout. It looks nice! So I guess Wednesday is half off wine bottles day...score!! Every bottle on their list is half off. Great deals to be had! We started with a salad, baked brie, and scallops. All were good. For dinner, a couple of us had the trout, another had the spatchcocked chicken, and finally one had the duck. The trout was deboned, but served whole otherwise. I hadn't seen it served this way before, and it was great to eat without having to go around the bones! The potatoes and kale that came with the fish were cooked perfectly and the lemon/caper/butter sauce was just right. Delicious. The chicken is big--a whole chicken and it's designed for two. Everything about that dish was great except our friend thought the turnips could have been cooked slightly longer for her liking. The duck was great; I personally would have preferred it a little less cooked, as it came out a bit medium-medium well, but there were no complaints. Finally, we finished off by sharing the crunchy coffee cake. It was lighter, as in not dense, but very delicious. The crunch seemed to be some kind of broken-up meringue. Overall it was a really great experience! There seemed to be only one server that we waiting, serving, and bussing. That caused a bottleneck here and there but we were in no rush and he did a great job otherwise. We'll be back...especially on a Wednesday!

Yelp
I don't know if there were having an off day or what. I'd like to give 2.5 stars. Felt like diner food trying to be fancy. Only 4 tiny half slices of French toast, tasted good tho. Sandwich was v greasy but ok. Oatmeal pretty good. Service ok. Kinda rough neighborhood. Wasn't feeling this restaurant.

Yelp
Staying in the Ambassador hotel, trying the new restaurant the Fitz The service was perfect, we tried the baked brie for appetizer, try it, it's wonderful, the entrees were amazing, little bites were served complimentary, so good and the desert the chocolate mousse was amazing All in a roaring twenties atmosphere, Definitely recommended

Yelp
The weekend breakfast is delicious. I had the pesto flat bread with its perfectly cooked, runny egg. Good coffee. Fast service. And, man, you have to love Midwest restaurant prices...

Yelp
From the minute you walk in the building, you know you're in for a special treat. With the culinary talent of Chef Jason Gorman, you can order anything on the menu with complete confidence it will be amazing. If you like scallops you must try them at the fitz! I already know I will be craving this dish in the near future. Give yourself time to enjoy all the complex flavors of the duck breast dish. It is fun to identify all the many things in this dish that works so perfectly together. You must save room for dessert with pastry chef and wife Jennifer Gormans magic. The chocolate silk pie is light and not too sweet. We left not one crumb on the plate! The service we had from John was attentive and perfectly paced. John was full of knowledge and made us feel pampered and relaxed. This was simply a wonderful evening!

Yelp
Visiting from Miami. Loved the whole experience, as a matter of fact just walked in by coincidence and was lucky to find this gem. I hope you are lucky enough to have the chef include the chili in his specials when you visit. The chicken and waffles also was super tasty, moist, crunchy, delicious. Waiter was very enthusiastic about the offerings and wine parings. Do yourself a favor and stop by!

Yelp
I wish there were more vegetarian entrees on the menu: I'm usually annoyed when the only option I have is a grilled cheese (and salads, of course). For that reason alone, I knocked off a star. That said, this was a damn good grilled cheese: Gouda with a tomato sweet jelly. I also put some of the leftover guac from the appetizer on it, making perfect. As a Bloody Mary connoisseur, I was extremely pleased with their spicy bloody. I also sampled my girlfriend's Manhattan--half rye, half bourbon--that was delicious too! She was also pleased with her jumbo salad sandwich (on special). Great service, nice ambience. If there had been more veggie options, I'd give them 5 stars.

Yelp
Like stepping back in time- food was great and our service was exceptional. Drinks were strong (in a good way)- we will definitely be back. Atmosphere was wonderful all around.

Yelp
Update: I recently returned for brunch and Jason unfortunately is no longer the chef. Coincidence that my meal wasn't so great? My mother enjoyed her burger but I was disappointed by the generic fast-food fries that came with. You can do better, Fitz. I ordered the s'mores waffle and could hardly eat it. I love s'mores and I love waffles but the chocolate waffle was dry and the marshmallow was scant and hardened. The nuts didn't pair well with the dish and I would have left hungry if it wasn't for the amazing complimentary (surprise) cinnamon roll. Ooey, gooey warm and wonderful! **************** Jason Gorman has outdone himself! I was reminded of his fabulous meals when he was at Dream Dance and this menu didn't disappoint. Creative spins on classic dishes from the era of Fitzgerald. A tasty and thoughtful amuse bouche, inventive and seriously delicious Chinese "pigs in a blanket," sophisticated blackberry venison meatballs, the most buttery tender and flavorful hangar steak with pleasing sides of creamed spinach and crisped potatoes (can I get a pound of these please???), creamy tomato risotto with amazing burrata...so many wonderful dishes and I can't wait to return to try more. Jennifer Gorman's take on the strawberry pretzel bar was out-of-this-world and truly put the cherry on top of the evening's meal. Not to ignore the other details that made our impromptu date night a standout event: refreshing and perfectly crafted gin rickeys, an ambiance that was exactly right, LOVED the music selection and the service was spot on. (You know the kind of service that's perfectly choreographed? This was that.) We savored every bite!

Yelp
A group of us were hoping to try out the restaurant (party of 8). We have a few people in our group that have dietary restrictions. We called ahead to see if they would accommodate our needs. The gentleman that answered the phone recommended that our friends that have dietary restrictions eat somewhere else before they come and watch the rest in the group eat. We canceled our reservation and made one at a different restaurant.

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner before a concert down the street at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center. The decor was exactly what you might think a restaurant would have resembled back in the 20's. Very Art Deco. The menu was brief but offered good choices. We each chose the filet and we weren't disappointed. Our waiter was a little stuffy, but courteous and prompt. Given the convenient location to where we were going and the quality of food (although a bit over priced) we would stop again when in the area.
google avatar

Holly L.

Yelp
The service was wonderful. The food was also great (the pork belly was amazing). However the risotto was too al dente for my taste. The chef also came out to say hello and I thought that was nice. Although we didn't get dessert, our server provided us a plate with small mini desserts. The Art Deco decor was also nice and it was overall a great dinner and time. I'm from the Bay Area and a meal like this would've cost a ton and the prices here tend to be on the affordable side especially for the vegetarian options. Note that there are not a lot of vegan options.

Yelp
Great find! I've been in no-carb hell for 2 weeks and the bibb lettuce wraps were so delicious they made me feel like a normal person again. Also the hubs said the grainy mustard (came with the burger) was the best he has ever had. Rounding out the tastiness was the epic chicken and black bean soup. Service was excellent--Barry took great care of us, made us laugh, and recommended the perfect local beer. Portions are very generous and ambience was cute. There were quite a few people in professional attire so seems like a good business lunch spot.

Suzy S.

Yelp
What a diamond of a place I had never heard about. Fun bar and fabulous restaurant. Hoping to be able to go back again in the future. The food was perfectly prepared. The staff was very professional. It would be worth your while to give it a try!

Yelp
My group of four thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Fitz. My Zuppa Toscana was deeeelicious! My companions really liked the Scallops Gruyere, salmon and classic pork chop. I recommend the Cucumber Rickey and Sazerac cocktails. Our server was attentive and pleasant without being too obsequious. The 1920's art deco decorating is stylish and pretty. Add the free parking in the Ambassador Hotel structure and you have a terrific experience -- but, wait! There's more! The hotel offers a free shuttle to anywhere downtown, so we used it to get to the Marcus Center for Performing Arts. It was quick and clean. The driver was a little gruff with two late arriving passengers, but that is the only thing negative I can think of to say about our whole evening. We will definitely be back to The Fitz.

K M.

Yelp
I arrived at the restaurant in jeans and a t-shirt (I was on vacation). The "air" of the hotess made it seam like I was beneath their standards. Be that as it may, I ordered a Filet Mignon. I requested it to be rare but, it was served medium, which ruins the steak (in my opinion). The steak was dry and chewy. A good rare steak should melt in one's mouth like butter. It should be seared to capture the juices. I was disappointed in the experience given the ambiance of the restaurant.

Kevin N.

Yelp
Service was very fine. I would recommend anyone to try the restaurant. Very pleasant atmosphere. Now for the Short Rib Poutine: EVERY poutine is different. The beef was good and enough there for the dish but very skimpy on the cheese curds. As for the gravy, again, very skimpy. What little gravy there was was soaked up in the fries. Maybe they saved my life by not adding more fat to my diet but I DID order poutine and expected more. Order it only with this knowledge and you may not be disappointed. The Steak Sandwich with fried onions, roasted mushrooms, garlic aioli, arugula: Had the chili for $2 more. Very good and tasty chili. The steak, medium, was a bit too chewy for my wife. I agreed but thought it was fine. Good taste, lots of onions, mushrooms and arugula. Could use a little more umph to the lite and airy hoggie roll but a chewier and more substantial roll may make the sandwich too difficult to eat. They also should have been more attentive when spreading the aioli so it reached all of the roll. We split the sandwich and I didn't see much of the ailoi. 2 tables near us seemed very happy with their hamburgers. Nice that they have quality sandwiches and a more extensive "fancier' dinner menu.

Carol W.

Yelp
I had Sunday brunch @ The Fitz in late fall. We were the only ones in the dining room. The food was creative and delicious. The service was excellent. I knew I wanted to return for dinner soon. Just had dinner @ The Fitz on Sat eve 12/9. The dining room was full. Our waiter was swamped. Took him 20 minutes to take our drink order. They were clearly understaffed for the crowd that was there. The waiter did the best job he could under the circumstances. He was attentive, helpful and professional. Cocktails were great, nice winelist and our dinners were DELICIOUS!

Yelp
We stopped for dinner at the Fitz on our return from a mini break in Door County. Big mistake! The food from the appetizers to the entrees were, in a word, bad! I mean really bad. Maybe the chef was off last night or something terrible happened in the kitchen. The waiter was good, and very accommodating. He clearly knew we were not enjoying the food. Not wanting to stress him more we pleaded we were tired and asked for doggie bags and the check. We found a garbage can as we exited the hotel and deposited our doggie bags. We like this hotel. The rework of the dining room is attractive, the drinks were fine and the single waiter working the nearly empty room was great, but none of that trumps bad food.

Yelp
My favorite brunch spot. You can always count on 5 star food and service at the Fitz.

Yelp
i travel all over the world and i have to say i love this restaurant! amazing food lovely staff and did i mention amazing food!!! the rumaki is fantastic, but then again so is everything on the menu! and do yoursel a favor.... have a sidecar!

Yelp
This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences ever! The attention to detail was amazing! Chef Jason and Pastry Chef Jennifer set the standard for fine dining! I highly recommend The Fitz!

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Large portions too. Shout out to John who was so accommodating to a large and needy group. You rock and are so kind! Way to be an amazing server!

Yelp
Delicious dinner! Had the Bone in Pork Chop with peaches and sage. Wow. I don't remember ever having a pork chop this moist and flavorful! We ordered the cheese curds appetizer - YUM!!! Not sure what the sauce was - it was delicious. We had a small plate - the Sweet Potato Banh Mi. Also very good. The rest of our table loved their entrees. Drinks were served small. Martini's were only half filled in vintage martini glasses. Should have brought the shaker to top off. Don't bother with dessert, at this point. I'm a pastry chef - so I'm a dessert snob. But the two desserts were ordered were not really even edible. Chocolate cake tasted like the refrigerator and was dry. Most was left by the 8 people sharing. We also ordered the deconstructed banana cream pie. Yuk. Not sure if banana pudding was used or they used banana liquor - but both are kind of nasty. Not worth a second bite. Always disappoints me when dinners are awesome and the chefs seem to walk away from the desserts. Come on - end on a better note. Chef Greene - I know you have it in you!!! Hire a part-time pastry chef to set up monthly dessert specials that anyone can plate. Otherwise - very nice dinner. Took the shuttle from the hotel to the theater and they picked us up afterwards. Nice evening.

Yelp
I have dined here for breakfast, lunch and dinner several times over the last week and I can say with great certainty, there is not a bad dish on the menu. Everything that I have ordered was well cooked, excellently presented and truly delicious. The chef is imaginative and talented. I recommend that you try this restaurant soon. You will not be disappointed. My favorites: Hanger steak and creamed spinach, rumaki, patty melt and spatchcock chicken.

Tracey S.

Yelp
When it was the Envoy Room, this was my go-to lunch spot . However, the recent changes make it unlikely I will go there much anymore. I have had salads the two most recent times I have been there and they were mediocre and overpriced. The large curved booths are awkward. I'm sorry to say that I am really disappointed.

Yelp
I really wanted to like it, but alas...no. We have been coming to stay at The Ambassador Hotel for 12 years now, so we were quite familiar with The Envoy, and Envoy lounge. The new menu just misses the mark in my opinion. While the actual face lift to both locations is welcomed, the menu is trying way too hard. We had brunch. High points: The Cinnamon roll, I thought it was delicious and loved the citrus/cream component. The other half of the table (there were 6 of us) were on the fence. Patty melt was great, per my Aunt, as well as the eggs Benedict. The coffee was also spot on. The low points: Three of us ordered the biscuit and gravy...some loved the biscuit but the garlic was overpowering and chicken sausage just didn't work. I had to send my scrambled eggs back (my sister is a foodie and my aunt a culinary instructor, both agreed that they were too under deeming them inedible). My replacement eggs, however were lovely. The corn pancakes were good, but resembled buttermilk more than corn. Aside from the kernels, there was no corn flavor. The thyme butter was divine as was the compote. I know this is a review of The Fitz, but the Gin Rickey bar utilizes some of their dishes on the bar menu. Serious misses there. I understand they are trying for upscale bar food but it does not work. Will be going back to the hotel, but not to eat.

Rita G.

Yelp
I went here work colleagues and shared several items. The brie and chip beef were fantastic. The pork belly was good too. I had the duck entree and loved it. Only four stars because the dessert was just OK. I tried the chocolate cake and the banana pudding. Service was excellent.

Carol K.

Yelp
We had a great meal here with friends! Everyone ordered something different and all enjoyed what they chose. Service was great, drinks were well done also. The only thing I did not enjoy was the chill from the door. Every time the entrance door opened a chilly draft came up and over the partial wall, perhaps something could be placed on top of the wall prevent that. I think the timing of the doors could be corrected as the outer door and inside door would be open at the same time. Other than that I'd recommend this restaurant.
