"A favorite all-day-breakfast destination has closed its only two DFW locations in Richardson and Downtown Dallas after opening those in 2017 and 2018, respectively. No specific reason was cited for the closures, according to CultureMap. When The Flying Biscuit debuted its omelets, pancakes, and Coca-Cola-infused barbecue chicken in Richardson, it was part of a larger plan to open three area outposts. The third never happened, presumably those plans are also scrapped for good." - Alaena Hostetter

Only been here a few times and it’s been awhile. Decent vegan options with a separate section on the menu. Biscuits are the best, so fluffy and light. The lattes are made with powered milk so they could not make with oat milk. My wife and friend have had the collards in the past and actually returned them due to the saltiness. I wanted to test for my own opinion, so I ordered one to go. 2 issues, no liquid which is the best in collards snd the salt is about double what is should be. Beautiful atmosphere and the staff are all pleasant.

My family and I visited The flying Biscuit. Immediately super warm energy when you walk in. The menu had many great options in my opinion versus a traditional breakfast menu you usually see. The chicken and waffles was absolutely amazing, and my son truly enjoyed the French toast breakfast. The service was great, very prompt and welcoming.

Food - Stopped in for brunch (11:00 AM-ish) and the place was absolutely packed. I had the Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit Sandwich and she had the One Fluffy Flying Biscuit and the award winning Grits. The sandwich was what you would expect for that kind of sandwich. My only turn off was the cheese, it was wrapper cheese instead of a nice cheddar or something similar. The biscuits were soft and crumbly. The cranberry apple butter that came with her biscuit had a nice sweetness for the biscuit. The grits were award winning as the menu stated. Service - The restaurant was unfortunately severely understaffed when we visited. Server was very kind, but took awhile for order to be placed, along with recieving our order. About an hour and a half. Servers were running their tails off so I don't want to hold that against them. Restaurant - Lots of really neat murals on the walls and ceiling. The floors were clean, tables were not sitting dirty and where we sat at the bar was not filthy or sticky. As mentioned there is a small bar area, no bartender, and some seating outdoors. Overall - Other than the understaffing and delay in getting food after the order was placed, the overall visit was fine. I would suggest a better quality cheese to be used, but that is my own personal opinion. Would probably visit again if others wanted to try it out with us.

Just had an amazing breakfast here. The staff was amazing so friendly and attentive. The food was very good and good portions! The price was very reasonable! Definitely will be back.

Google
Very friendly and nice staff. Grits were great. I didn't like my breakfast main - potatoes were flavourless and the chorizo was crumbled sausage. I left most of it.

Oh my, how to describe this amazing place in downtown Greenville. It wad my first time here in town, and my dear friend highly recommended this first thing when I landed. Service by the whole team was amazing, from the hostess, to our service from Mary-Ann who did a great job in balancing service and explaining the food, while also presenting things to do around the city this weekend. Her modest charm made us feel at home, and the food was delicious. I ordered the flying biscuit which the grits was delicious. I wad disappointed the biscuits did not fly, but was nonetheless amazing, i was also disappointed that the moon dust fries did not in fact have moon dust, but was still amazing. Highly recommended. Salamat Maryann, and thank you.

Went with my family for Easter. Everything was wonderful! Will definitely visit again next time I'm in town.

The steak and eggs were amazinggggggg. The shrimp didn’t come with the meal I added it and was glad I did. I had zero issues with my visit here. The entire family enjoyed their meals.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast spot! my personal favorites are the veggie scramble, shrimp & grits, and the oh my grits bowl! I have tried almost everything but those are some personal favorites.

Yelp
Customer service was terrible...but only for me. I ordered online while I was close by and saw they had a chai latte; so I decided to go inside instead of wait in the car. I asked the hostess (who was very dry) if I could sit at the bar and order a drink while I waited for my food. She said let me ask the person at the bar. She said yes, half cleaned an area (took used plates but left smeared condiments on counter) and allowed me to sit. I sat for 12 minutes while three different waitresses checked on others at the bar; all seemed to ignore me, not even making eye contact. I didn't even get a greeting. When the fourth employee came over, she made an excuse about no bartender when I informed her I'd been sitting and not acknowledged. I said I wanted a chai latte. Then they attempted to make it seem I was upset my order was late. I informed, "I do not have an issue with the wait." Another patron sat himself and was immediately helped. Other patrons noticed and even offered their champagne because it was so obvious. It takes nothing to greet paying customers and ask if they need any assistance. And even listen to understand instead of becoming defensive and creating a false issue; especially when the customer is patient, not irate and giving grace.

Yelp
First time eating breakfast here. The food was okay . However the sides were not good at all the grits had to much cheese in them. Plain grits with butter would have been better. The macaroni and cheese brownies ( looked like brownies they had no taste bland) the fruit side I got was okay the fruit tasted like the fruit wasn't ripe and a lot crunchy. The entrees themselves were pretty good. A lot of food for the price. Family friendly. Our waitress was pretty nice. Do i recommend? Hmm let's just say that I would just leave it up to other people to try it and see if they like it. Because sometimes other people's opinions and reviews don't really matter because your experience may be better or different. I don't think i will ever be back .

Susan L.

Yelp
Creamiest grits ever! I am a connoisseur of grits and these are the best I have ever had. I had the Freebird. The chicken was crispy, eggs perfectly cooked and the gravy flavorful. Overall great experience.

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Worst experience with a brunch spot. Server was nice and did fine but I have never waited so long for a biscuit entree. I watched a table come in after me and eat and leave before I even got my food. 3 tables that came in after me got their food and were halfway through eating before I got my food. All I got told was it will be out soon 3-4 diff times and never came until I had to ask someone to go check bc it was getting ridiculous. Waited over an hour and watched people that ordered after me get served and the food barely had flavor. Other customers were also not happy and were feeling the same way and even left.

Tiffany N.

Yelp
Damn, do I love the creamy, dreamy grits! I hadn't been to a Flying Biscuit Cafe in over 10 years so I was excited that it was an option that was walkable in downtown Greenville. We went on Saturday morning, we were sat right away by a hostess with a personality of a wet towel. Does that sound rude? Yes but I also tried to approach her able there being no toilet paper in the bathroom and she just looked at me so that's that. Anywho, once sat we waited awhile for our server. She was on point and peppy but the process seemed to take foreeeever. Stoked that the food was still delicious (plus they have a lot bigger if a menu now!) but hopefully will be a little quicker next time I visit when I'm in the area.

Jackson S.

Yelp
The food is good if you don't mind waiting a really long time for the food. I placed my order for biscuit, gravy and scrambled eggs. 15 mins later I asked them to check on it. She told me it's 20-25 mins wait. I clarified "on top of the 15 I've already waited?" She said yes that it takes a while to make the eggs.

Kimbo G.

Yelp
The best grits!!! Came here with my son, traveling from out of town, and decided to check this place out. At the time I saw it only had 3 stars but we still wanted to give it a try and the menu looked very good. I got the eggs, biscuit and gravy. It was so great. I have to say these are the best grits I have ever had. The day before we went to Biscuit Head, which wasn't as tasty. I recommend giving this place a try, especially if you love grits.

Raquel T.

Yelp
A cute and funky breakfast joint nestled in the heart of downtown Greenville! The place was packed on a Saturday morning however quick to get a table ready for us. The Piedmont omelete and breakfast scramble were so tasty and filling and paired with the fluffiest biscuits and cheesy grits I've ever tried! Food came out quick and hot. Definitely recommend if you're looking for some homey bfast food in the area.

Troy B.

Yelp
I'll give two stars because the food is great... if you can get it. The service, the staff... in one word on multiple occasions... RUDE. The first time went in Charlotte it was great. Awesome food great service. In Greenville the awesome food is present, but the service and staff here is slow and rude. The last time my wife went downtown, her service at the bar was ridiculously slow and we decided to give them a try one more time. I called Saturday morning around 10 to find out if there was a wait. She told me they were first come first serve. So I asked if they were busy right now and if there was a wait. She said she didn't know... you don't know? Aren't you a hostess? Open your eyes and look around, are you on a wait or not? She seemed very bothered by the call and said they were not supposed to take reservations or quote a time. "I don't know what to tell you" she says. Well I know what to tell them! There's plenty of nice restaurants downtown that actually want your business and care about their customers. I'm done here.

Yelp
Rarely leave reviews but shame on management for opening a restaurant on a day where they are so short staffed, the few staff members that show up can't do their job properly for things out of their control. My server was nice but clearly overwhelmed as she had only one other person to help her on the floor with over ten tables. My boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs and she warned us it might be overcooked a tad while he ordered it, to nobody's surprise it was, but so much fat and completely raw in some pieces. I ordered an egg and cheese biscuit with a side of grits and potatoes. The first biscuit I got had bacon on it (I'm a vegetarian) and the top half of the biscuit was broken all the way in half down the middle so even if I wanted to pick the bacon off of my food, the sandwich would then crumble due to it being not in one piece. I ended up returning the potatoes because they were dry and powdery and stale tasting from freezer burn. As a server myself I respect our waitress because she truly tried her best and put effort into making it right, but management set her up for failure, and no matter what she was going to be stretched too thin and not able to give the service the tables deserved because of how poorly staffed they were at the front. Close the restaurant for the day if you know you aren't going to be able to provide your employees with enough support for them to do their job properly. No manager on site either to help them. At the front of the door there's a sign saying there's a labor shortage in the restaurant business due to "challenges beyond their control", I know first hand if you paid your employees more than crumbs they'd want to work for you and you'd find good staff with no problem. If you can't afford to pay your employees a wage that they'd want to work for, your entire business model is unstable to begin with. And that is completely in your control. I want to make it abundantly clear that I'm not mad at my server AT ALL and she did the best she can and that's all I can ask for, gave her more than a 20% tip and I hope they give her a raise for even showing up and having to be the one to face the management's screw ups. Peace

Ragan S.

Yelp
No toilet paper in the bathrooms, long wait time for absolutely no reason, the Mac and cheese was just a block of cheese. The ambiance was pretty cool I guess.

Nicole M.

Yelp
I definitely would say this place is over hyped. The service is good and our waitress was nice, but the food was really my problem our waitress warned us once we sat down the food would take about an hour to come out. Once our food did come out i found 2 hairs in it i'm not the type of person to really care about stuff like that stuff happens i worked in food before so i let it go. I took a bite out of my grits and they tasted disgustingly burnt. I ask everyone else at my table if theirs tasted the same and they said yes. super disappointed.

Kory M.

Yelp
First visit here today, and we got exactly what we hoped for. Food was delicious with juicy chicken. Reasonable prices. Kids LOVED it which can be hard to find downtown. Ambience is energetically welcoming. I've seen other reviews citing problems and that just wasn't our experience today. We dug it, recommend it especially for young families, and we will be back!

Yelp
Incredible breakfast we had with our friends (4 of us) in the charming Downtown area of Greenville. (Walking distance from Embassy Suites)...Flying Biscuit Cafe reminds me of a Mellow Mushroom of Brunch/Breakfast. Lots of groovy tunes and positive vibes from the staff and servers. Smiles and teamwork to provide your food hot and steamy. Cool artwork on the walls that add to the charm. We had the following: Stuffed French toast Breakfast- white cheddar cheese grits (creamy and heavenly), scrambled eggs (warm and soft), tall biscuit with apple butter (delish), chicken sausage patties (yummy) with the Gigantic stuffed French toast with crème cheese and strawberry glaze. All fantastic. Honey Butter Chicken Waffle- This was my favorite!!! The waffle was crunchy on the outside and super soft in the middle, dripping with honey butter. The fried chicken was HAND battered, fresh and cooked to crispness. This is not frozen chicken that is thrown in a fryer. I will order this every time! We ordered a side dish of Moon Dusted Potatoes that hit the spot with flavor. They are cubed and look ordinary but once you pop into your mouth, the flavor explodes! Soooo unexpectedly good. Had to RAVE over this simple side dish Great 5 star experience and feel Flying Biscuit is by far the best brunch restaurant in DT Greennville!

Kieva S.

Yelp
Our server was kind but the food was Nasty. The cheesy grits were yucky , the "biscuit" had no flavor and fell apart. My store bought biscuits taste better. The pancakes were to doughy, the potatoes came from a bag for sure. When we visit Greenville again this place will NOT be on our plans. Over $35 for 2 people. Very disappointed

Yelp
We had a super solid experience at Flying Biscuit Cafe. Located in the West End district in Greenville I saw plenty of cute shops and major retail giants all without eye shot. Food was seasoned excellent and our waitress must have woken up on the right side of bed cause she was a bright shining star throughout our experience. I ordered a Freebird Benedict and it came out more like biscuits and gravy. Fancy name, yet basic breakfast. Still it offered to stick to my stomach and gave me energy throughout the day. Other than fast casual meals and so-called hotel breakfast offerings, this is a solid place to dine. Would recommend reservations and a can-do attitude. You'll have a blast!

Erin M.

Yelp
We came in with a party of 8. We waited over an hour after being quoted 30 minutes. Not really anyone's fault EXCEPT they refused to pull tables together to accommodate us and made us wait for their bigger tables. We tried to order drinks while we waited and they refused to let us stand and have drinks. The food was okay. The service was horrible - our server was rude and inattentive. We ordered 4 carafes of mimosas. I don't like a lot of juice in mine so I asked for the juice on the side and was met with the rude remark of "you're not getting more champagne just because you're getting the juice on the side." I told her I know and didn't expect more than what a carafe is suppose to have in it. They bring out the carafe filled 1/3 of the way full. A carafe by the way is suppose to be a whole bottle of champagne. Especially for the steep price of $25. It only filled our 6oz flutes once each. Meaning we paid $25 for 12 oz of champagne and that everyone else's carafes were over 50% juice.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE the location in Columbia. When I saw this spot right down the road from our hotel I begged my husband to let us eat here instead of just doing the free breakfast at our hotel. We have a toddler and an infant. Right when I walked into the almost empty restaurant Marianne set the tone. I almost turned around then and said never mind, but it was pouring down rain and we drug our kids out in it. She very rudely let us know that nothing could be added to the end of a table and acted as if it was a major inconvenience that we needed a sling for a carrier and a high chair. We never did get the sling. We sat down and asked about mimosas, she had not given us the drink menu so she left to get it. When she came back we ordered and she asked to see ID. Ok, cool. I do realize it's the law, however my husband had his. I am almost 35 years old at breakfast with my 36 year old husband. I said don't worry about it, I just wouldn't drink and but if he had not gone to get my license in the POURING down rain from our car around the corner, we wouldn't have be served. RIDICULOUS. To add insult to injury, if there was even any champagne in our mimosa, it was flat. I've never had a mimosa I just didn't care for but this was awful. The food was good. I don't even remembered what I ordered. The grits always get 5 stars. Terrible service ruined our experience and I absolutely will NEVER be back to this location again. Again- I don't expect rules to be broken but a decent attitude or a friendly disposition can make a big difference.

Lisa F.

Yelp
I went on a Sunday morning, and the wait to get a table was about 30 minutes. Not a bad wait. The coffee was weak, and the waitress was nice. We ordered, and it took 50 minutes to get our food. My table mate literally had bits with smoke salmon, and I had a tofu wrap (basically cold tofu, which I'm sure was already prepared). We literally saw people come in after us receive their food. We were seared right in front of the kitchen window. I saw other wait staff asking for their orders, and it seemed the take out orders were coming out faster. My wrap was average, devoid of much flavor. Yes, tofu can be flavorful. This was not. My table mate did enjoy her shrimp bowl. I would probably return and try a different dish. This visit was not a win for me.

Cameron L.

Yelp
I hate leaving 1 star reviews. But I also hate getting food poisoning. Usually love FBC that I go too. This one started out great. Got my food fast. The new chicken, biscuit and honey with eggs and an unsweetened tea. Tasted fine. Good service. But the problems started about later this afternoon. I have spent the past five hours on the floor of my bathroom. I can't stop evacuating from both ends. This is the only thing I ate today. I've had food poisoning once before and this is definitely it.

Leilani B.

Yelp
We had the Egg-Stravaganza and Classic Benedict. The grits were the best part of the meal! Really wanted to like the french toast but tasted like It was on wheat bread which we didn't love. Customer service was good.

Mary W.

Yelp
Delicious food! Amazing service! Just make sure you make reservations or get there early ! Over all very nice place to meet up with family & friends

T M.

Yelp
Awesome biscuits and grits and breakfast tacos and service! Also, the sweet tea is great. A lot of people were loving their apple butter but it wasn't really my jam (see what I did there?). It was a tad too cinnamony for me but that is just me who doesn't really care for that flavor profile. Honestly though, though, fabulous breakfast place that you don't want to miss out on.

Jv V.

Yelp
The bar is NOT first come first serve. And through that isn't obvious, the servers will ignore you for 7+ minutes or until you decide to ask them for service, poor service overall. The food is great, I got the shrimp and grits entree, but the service is always lacking. If it isn't a person coughing and hacking as she pours drinks and serves food, it's someone with a sad face and poor attitude. it's only 10am, feel better soon ladies.

John T.

Yelp
I'm 53, and I've never seen service as egregiously bad as that provided by Marianne today. Was clearly angry at the world today and did not check on us a single time. Only got a coffee refill by stopping her in the aisle. She dropped off a new cup and seemed offended when my wife handed her the empty. Never checked on us after dropping off the food so she never was able to get us a new pepper shaker because ours was empty. Never got a second refill on my "bottomless" cup of coffee. To top it off, the food was so-so, and definitely not worth the premium mark up. Finally, the check was brought to us in a dilapidated folder - at $15-20 a person for breakfast, you'd think the place could buy a new folder. Oh, and the bathroom looks like there was a dog fighting ring being run out of it. Only giving one star because 0 stars isn't allowed. Forgot to mention the food took more than 30 minutes and half the tables were empty. Edit: when I asked to talk to the manager, I was told that our horrible server was the manager...

Arlene D.

Yelp
10/10 do not recommend! Service is literally a spit in your face- called in to place a to-go order, was quoted 20- 30 minutes. I arrived @ 10:15, was told my order had not been started because they were working on their catering order, expo then advised they needed an additional 20-30 minutes. I informed her that I was taking my daughter's lunch to school and I couldn't wait that long asked could they do something better than that because when I called no one said anything about a delay because of a big catering order and my order was taken by a person not placed on-line. She spoke to the manager and informed me her manager said that "you can wait the 20-30 min or get a refund". No apologies were given, no care at all... just disregard & dismissal for my inconvenience. When the manager came around, I had hoped that she would attempt to do something but if not at the very least acknowledge they dropped the ball and the dismissal of my to-go order was an error on their part- nope nothing, cut me off as I was trying to have a conversation with her as to how what they had done was not right- it's very tacky to tell a customer your single order is not important to us because we have a big catering order (as of that catering order didn't generate from someone having a single order to become acquainted with your food to want it for catering)! Those were not her exact words, but she did let me know she didn't have time to discuss she just came out to handle my refund.... Big businesses become big based on not only the quality of their product but how they treat their CUSTOMERS! If I'm spending $20 vs them spending $200 if you take my order you should deliver the same equal quality of service to both parties! Voided

Dwayne M.

Yelp
Good morning, I came into your restaurant yesterday for breakfast and sat at the bar. I was ignored by every single employee that was working that day! They all just looked at me and no one said hello can I help you! It's common courtesy to speak to customers! Then the waitress stated the host normally seats customers. Well this was not my first time at this location and I've never known a hostess to seat someone at the bar! I could not believe it as they should have recognize me from coming in before! I finally had to ask was someone going to help me! Then as I sat there I observed how other customers were treated who came and sat at the bar. They were greeted and treated extremely nice! I plan on sending this correspondence to your corporate office. Training is obviously needed! Common courtesy is badly needed! Not sure if I will ever be back to this location! What a big disappointment! Dwayne D'Mac McMillan The Guitartist that plays music downtown which brings people together!

Cristina M.

Yelp
Both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat at the bar which was enjoyable. Friendly and fast service. Amazing menu selections. I ordered the stuffed French toast meal which was basically two meals . I could have totally split it! It was amazing though !

Franklin Y.

Yelp
We were visiting in town and looking for breakfast downtown. The food was really good! Great portions and value for the prices. We will definitely be back again

Erin W.

Yelp
Nice service, immediate, friendly. Portions large, food hot and good. Ambiance is colorful, interesting and clean.

Alex Marsh ..

Yelp
Great location, casual atmosphere. Good food while we there on a 1 night stay to the city

Seyla T.

Yelp
First time trying this place and we got it to go for lunch. The food was done pretty quickly and was still warm when I got back to the office. I got some simple stuff - biscuit and gravy, sausage biscuit, and the moon dusted potatoes. I enjoyed the sausage biscuit and added grape jelly because that's my move. It's been a long time since I had a biscuit and gravy and this brought me back to being in elementary school. The gravy had a good amount of sausage which was nice. I did like the potatoes but found them to be a little too salty. Maybe if I had some ketchup to cut the saltiness, I might have liked it better. Overall, it was a good meal and filled me up for only $10!

Terry D.

Yelp
We sat at the bar. The server was great and the food was awesome. I love bread pudding and thought I give it a try. This was by far the worst bread pudding I've ever had. Maybe the worst dessert I've ever had. It was hard as a brick and burnt on the bottom. Will come back for the food but not the dessert

Adam F.

Yelp
The food here is really good, but the shorter female manager is one of the meanest people in Greenville. There are so many places to choose from in GVL and I feel like the one thing that a place can do to separate themselves is by providing excellent service which is something this manager greatly lacks. It's the only place I will go to that I actively choose for a different server. Overall, this manager is rude to guests, co workers, and even doordash drivers just trying to do their job. If you go here, ask for the server who isn't constantly frowning and making you feel like you're an inconvenience.

Francis N.

Yelp
Ok so it's not busy Monday morning at 9:30 and getting seated but no one coming after 5minutes to even bring water ,talk or say they will be there shortly. So I left and told host it's not good. who said it was busy. But not so.

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Stuffed French toast and breakfast tacos are to die for! But I will say, if you enjoy being pushed around and bullied by the manager, then this your place! I wish I could say the whole experience was great but service was awful and they forced us to give a certain tip. Probably won't go back just because of the way we were treated.

Hannah B.

Yelp
Talk about YUM! These pancake tacos are what breakfast dreams are made of! I sat at the bar and the service was good considering how busy it was. The ambiance is very lively, but I recommend going in early to make sure you get a seat!

Jalen B.

Yelp
MacKenzie was the best server ever!!! & The food was delicious! I also loved the vibe in the restaurant

Tina H.

Yelp
Can't say enough goods things about this place or Mary Ann the manager!!! She is always inviting, personable, and loves her customers! There no better breakfast to us!

Meena P.

Yelp
Sunday brunch at this busy spot was a great experience. Waited maybe 10 mins for an outdoor spot, while waiting there is a constant wave of people waiting to get in this place. Dining outside on the sidewalk only allows you non alcoholic beverages or mimosas. Because it looks like OJ?! Anyway mimosas it was then! We got the large carafe and it was plenty for at least 3 glasses each for the 2 of us. Not bad for $15. Huge menu, choices upon choices, hard to figure out what to order, so many great options. Our server had told us beverages may take awhile to come out, but it seemed quicker than she said. I opted for the Hollywood omelette, veggie omelette, with biscuit and moon dusted potatoes which I substituted for the creamy grits. The omelette was good size with a tomato sauce drizzled on top, lots of veggies, the potatoes had a little seasoning to them, and were really good. The biscuit, nice and flaky but not too crumbly, good size too, , pretty good plate of food for around $10. My friend got the bacon, egg and biscuit plate, nice crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, she also got the creamy grits which she said southerners would appreciate! Good service even though they were slammed on a beautiful sunny Sunday. Only thing is the mimosas were more OJ , would have loved more bubbly in there, didn't really taste like there was any. Sidewalk mimosas for a reason! Good brunch food though, something for everyone!

Yelp
Went to the Greenville festival a few weeks ago while attending a conference. Walked by this booth and was intrigued by the sound of stuffed French toast. I love French toast. The owner was amazing! I ordered. Normally you can walk and eat but I really wanted to give this French toast my full attention. I happened to sit next to a couple who had just finished devouring their order and after my first bite I understood why. VERY GOOD! Sweet and savory. Just the right amount. I was full after. I also got mine lightly stuffed in case you don't want it very sweet.

Greg F.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service, but very understaffed. I would suggest going early or late to enjoy your food and the experience.

Yelp
I went for breakfast with my family on yesterday morning. There was a wait which wasn't the problem but after waiting 15 mins a waitress came up to us and notified us very Rudely and notified us that we could not stand there and that we could stand outside or in the back by the bathrooms. We was not waiting outside because it was windy and we had the baby. After walking to the back by the the bathrooms we looked around and decide to leave because it look like we was left waiting in the storage area. No one ever apologized even after we told them was leaving. Worst customer service ever.

Yelp
I've been to the Flying Biscuit Cafe in Atlanta and I remember the line being out the door because the food was so good. So glad Flying Biscuit came to Greenville! The line on the weekends can still be pretty long but the times I've come here on a random weekday, there's no wait. Their menu has more than just your typical brunch menu items. There's sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, you name it. They even have an extensive cocktail menu with mimosa flights, a variety of bloody marys, brunch cocktails and there's a whole section of coffee with liqueur mixed in. Everything I've had so far has been delicious! My personal favorites are their pancakes, grits and their grilled mac and cheese (which is essentially blocks of mac and cheese that's crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside).

Yelp
There were 4 of us and we were seated immediately. We went on the opening day . They were busy, but not as busy as I thought would be! Biscuits and gravy are one of my fav foods so I ordered that. It was a bit short on gravy but they brought more when I asked. Best gravy I've had down here in 5 years! The other three had kind of basic breakfasts including eggs, dusted potatoes, sausage and bacon, and a biscuit. All of it was good. We'll definitely come back. Service was very slow. Our server was a trainee, but we'll on her way to being good.

Yelp
Dear People of Greenville, I would not waste your morning eating here. Although the staff is nice. The food takes well over an hour, and comes out cold. It really has gone down hill and it is very disappointing. I would look at probably any other restaurant downtown before considering going here.

Yelp
Okay, so, the first thing you need to know is that this is now hubby's favorite breakfast place. Favorite, people. The picture below is his breakfast, The Flying Biscuit Breakfast. I had pretty much the same meal, but with bacon, and, because I am gluten intolerant, I asked for the biscuit in a takeout, so I could give it to a family member. At the time of this post, they do not have gluten-free bread. As a party of two, we were seated quickly at about 11am on a Sunday, but you should be aware that larger parties were already waiting at that time. The coffee was good; the bacon and sausage were good; the grits, although cooked with milk, were good. Our waitress was a five star young lady; she kept our coffees full, and moved things along at an appropriate pace. My only negative was the biscuit. Remember the biscuit? I ordered my eggs over medium, and the biscuit was sitting right on my plate. Now, everybody knows that when you pick up a nice, flaky biscuit, it WILL leave crumbs on the plate - crumbs that my over medium eggs will run all over. So, hubby took the biscuit, and I wiped the plate. Hopefully, I didn't eat any crumbs. I know this sounds ridiculous, but if one has a gluten Sensitivity (not celiac), the effects may not present for days. So, if you have a gluten intolerance of any kind, you should be Very specific. I would order with No Biscuit. If you have no problems with gluten, Please -- for me -- order that breakfast that includes French toast. I think you will enjoy it all.

Yelp
We know the chain. We know the standard. This was subpar at 11:30am on a Monday morning. Our server was too busy to check back in the order was right. I ordered two eggs over easy. I got two over medium well. My wife ordered a breakfast sandwich with Bacon. I had to walk to the counter and ask. The server was occupied with other guests. If you want a good experience and food your ordered, skip this place.
