This takeout only serves cook to order bentos. We tried the NY steak plate and a chicken kotsu/mochico chicken bento. The steak was seasoned well and it was very close to the medium rare that I prefer. The chicken was on the dry and tough to chew side, but flavors were decent. The service was friendly and quick. Since there were no place to eat at this shopping center, so we took our lunch to Kailua Beach, which was about 7-8 minutes away.

Google
Cool place that I went to pick up lunch...they have bentos and breakfast foods as well as lunch. Food was yummy and tasty. Check em out if your in the area.

Google
Good luck trying to pick just one item of food. Such a good spot to grab a bento and head to Lanikai or any beach for that matter. There are desserts as well. So many healthy options.

Grandma Sagey

Google
Absolutely delicious! I'm completely hooked on their food. Having sampled various items like bentos, musubis, and salads, their breakfast is undeniably outstanding. Tried the steak and eggs – incredibly reasonable in price, and the steak was among the best I've ever had. Even my mom enjoyed her omelette. A definite go-to spot for a delightful and satisfying meal.

We originally came here while driving around the island to get a basic lunch. We ended up ordering so much food. And we finished it all. The sashimi was great and the bulls were great and so where the desert. I was shocked at how much take out people take from this place. The lady who works at the front is amazing to deal with. In the entire island of Oahu, this was one of my most favorite places. It is a place that locals love.

Google
This was one of my favorite plate lunch experiences in Hawaii! The lau lau + kalua pork combo (available on Fridays) was perfectly seasoned and cooked, tasting just like a home-cooked meal. Large portions and reasonable prices as well. The staff are very friendly too! Entrance is shared with a bar if you are coming from the front and it might look closed at first, but they are open!

Emily Ahn Levy

Google
Affordable, quick, fresh and delicious! Ordered hotyah chicken (mochiko fried chicken covered in mayo and sriracha-style sauce, furikake and green onions w/ white rice and mac salad. Also the sweet potato and haupia dessert - yum!

Omar Taheri

Google
The best food I had in Hawaii hands down. Really enjoyed the meal and kind service. Highly recommend everyone to try it, looks like quite a lot of locals go here too and prices are reasonable. Had the korean fried chicken loco mocco and it was to die for. Amazing sauce, fresh chicken and great noodles. Well done guys.

Yelp
Outstanding local business nestled in the Kailua Theater business complex with fresh made to order local and Asian fusion Kine delicious creations! They also have bentos to go and a display case of tempting deserts! Fresh sandwiches, wraps & salads are also on display for to go orders! Friendly staff put you at ease and bring that Aloha vibe that makes you know, everything is going to be STELLAR! ‼ Now a Kailua local favorite, dis is da place to get ONO FOOD to go!

Yelp
Update ...still the best poke around and that's saying something ...the bowls are perfectly sized. Everything they make is good, the grab and go section is always money. Long time Kailua business with heart ....tia and the girls and the kitchen staff always friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Always a local-foodie favorite. Stop by this shop for the freshest salads, bentos and musubi (and not just spam). Gotta go early! Deli-aroma-filled entrance...so, take it all in before buying everything. Next time, I have to stay in the car.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. If you're in the area, it's a must. If you're not in the area, then make the drive! After reading another reviewer's post, decided to stop in. Got the mochiko tofu as the reviewer suggested (crispy with extra sauce) and kalbi tofu. The mochiko tofu was bomb. I would have taken a picture, but it was gone before I could think to get my phone. The kalbi tofu was also excellent; smoky and well flavored, but next time, I'd also do extra sauce. No worries though because I had the extra mochiko sauce. Mac salad and rice were also on point. We'll be back guarantee.

Yelp
Yum! best place for a mix plate meal where you won't feel super heavy afterwards. everything was freshly made to order with generous portions. I split a miso butterfish bento with another person, it also came with teri chicken AND mochiko chicken (3 proteins!) over a bed of rice. They have a whole glass case display of different salads/noodles/grab and go foods too, I would recommend splitting a hot plate and a salad from the case for 2 people for a balanced meal. We also tried their sweet potato / haupia pie, it was SO good! Call ahead if you can, it can be a wait since they do lots of take out. No where to eat inside but there is a bench outside you can sit at to eat.

Yelp
Aloha! Just ordered the chicken curry mini plate with mac salad and it was great! I had been craving curry for some time and stumbled upon this place by chance. The phone order and service was so friendly and accommodating that I am definitely coming back to explore the rest of their menu. I walked right in, food was ready within 10 minutes and they handed it off with such a pleasurable customer service and smile. Highly recommend this restaurant! Mahalo!

Yelp
Excellent island fare -worth hunting for the somewhat hidden site in Kailua. Food : We chose entrees we liked the last time -like the Katsu chicken and teriyaki beef -they were still delicious. I really appreciate that they don't overwhelm their teriyaki with too much ginger. We also tried some new dishes like their hot chicken and sweet Mochica chicken--those choices were yummy, too. Everyone enjoyed the sides -mashed potatoes, rice, mixed vegetables ( heavy on the carrots) , and mac salad. Portions are substantial-but save room for the best blueberry cheesecake we have found. We gobbled the food up so fast that I forgot to take photos this time. They also offer bento boxes -maybe we will try those next time. Service : We did carry-out-the staff were pleasant and helpful. Facility --We have always done carry-out. Location -It seems a little funny to say that it's on a street behind the Safeway-but your gps will help you find it -it's not a showy place. It's definitely on our list of go-to places for an evening meal after a work day or a vacation day -just simple plate food when you want something to relax and enjoy while watching the sun setting behind Kailua's awesome, massive, beautiful mountains. We will definitely be back for more.

Yelp
Living in Kailua, I always try to support the local businesses. While the staff is friendly, the portion sizes and the quality of the food is subpar. Recently ordered the 8oz steak medium rare - my order was incorrect (gave white rice instead of brown rice) and the steak was cooked medium to medium well and was tough and hard to chew. And it's supposed to come with mushrooms and onions - came with 3 tiny slices of onion and 2 tiny slices of mushroom (not nearly enough for the amount of steak given). Other dishes I ordered (ahi belly, mahi mahi) were also overcooked and small for price. The hamburger steak I previously ordered was tough and had an old taste to it, ended up throwing away. Unfortunately will have to give up and find another place in Kailua.

Yelp
The Food Company Restaurant & Catering (TFCRC) was a place that I patronized almost weekly at it's original location where Boot's and Kimo currently reside. Their menu is local-centric and is Asian-fusion with Hawaiian influence. I was sad to learn that the TFCRC lost their lease at its original location across from Safeway, but happy that they share the kitchen and space with Boardriders Bar. Bay Shrimp & Avocado Salad - 4/5 The Bay Shrimp & Avocado Salad was good, not fantastic. I felt they could have increased the portion of shrimp on the salad. Overall, the salad was good. The avocados were buttery, and did not taste overripe. I had to ask for more dressing because you only get a small 2oz small cup of dressing of choice. The portion is too small for my liking. Ahi belly with brown rice -4/5 The ahi belly was breaded and fried. The breading had scant seasoning, and the ahi belly was a little fishy than usual but is expected with some portions of the ahi belly. But overall, the ahi belly was still good. Update: TFCRC has moved to its own place located in the Keolu Shopping Center. It is now take out only. Hopefully, they can find a place where you can sit down to enjoy their creations. The menu is a little different from their original place, but I assume is a transitional menu. Hopefully, TFCRC can reintroduce a lot of their menu selections from their original location. That probably will not happen until TFCRC finds a location to accommodate seating and a bigger kitchen.

Yelp
Ordered the fried mahimahi plate. It comes with 1 scoop white rice, mac salad which was warm and 5 pieces of panko crusted mahimahi. I understand that it gets busy but thinly sliced mahimahi doesn't take long to cook. Frying it until it is dark brown means overcooked so the flavor consists of crunchy bread coating and not fish. I believe in the deep fryer for 5 minutes or until golden brown would've been preferred.

Yelp
Tried 2 dishes from The Food Company 1) NY steak with mashed potatoes and green salad 2) Chinese chicken salad. Evidently the cooks aren't familiar with the most basic of spices because there was no salt or pepper used, much less any kind of seasoning. It was the most bland food I've ever eaten! The exception was that the green salad (which turned out to be sliced cabbage) had a dollop of awful tasting ranch dressing on it (tasted like generic bottled ranch). I wasn't given the choice to have that ranch dressing on the side, as one would expect. The only thing that made the chicken salad "Chinese" was the inedible overly sweet "asian"dressing (thankfully on the side). To make this food somewhat edible, I added salt and pepper to the steak & potatoes, butter and a little truffle oil to the potatoes, removed the ranch dressing from the coleslaw and added my own lemon vinaigrette and then mixed my own rice vinegar/sesame oil dressing for the Chinese chicken salad. But for steak, the flavorings really should be added before cooking such as in a marinade, not when the meat has already cooled down. Lastly, I was handed these 2 entrees in separate takeout containers rubber-banded together which I placed on the passenger seat for the drive home -- but then discovered that all the juices from my medium rare steak had leaked onto the car seat. I imagine this wasn't the first time this happened so it would have been nice to get a heads up. A very disappointing culinary and personal experience. To The Food Company: You Can Do Better.

Yelp
Happened to be in the area and found this place on Yelp. They just recently moved to this new location in Enchanted Lakes (near Kailua Cinemas), so don't go looking for them inside Boarders in Kailua! They don't have a big sign hanging outside yet, but they're located in between a physical therapy place and Edward Jones. Plenty of parking is available in the shared strip shopping plaza parking lot. The eatery is very small with only a few tables inside. I think it's intended to be more of a take-out place. Despite their new location, it seemed like many of their regular customers already knew about the move, as the staff greeted almost everyone who walked in by name! I had read that they have a good loco moco, so I ordered that for $11.99. Loco moco is always a barometer for me when I try a new eatery. If they make a good one, then they pass the test for future visits. Their loco moco was good, but a bit salty. I like my gravy dark and rich. Their's was pretty close to that. I probably wouldn't order it again only because I want to try a few of their other menu items. In addition to their plate lunches, they also have a variety of bentos and delicious looking desserts! Service was super friendly and my order came out fast. Definitely check them out and support this small business!

Yelp
It's been a while since I've eaten at the food company... years aka 5+ years. Got the mochiko chicken and it's just what I remembered, great marinate and taste. Literally put me back in time. Great to know there are still local business like this.

Buddy K.

Yelp
Tried it for the first time . Got the soba and a small bento. Fired rice, spam, chicken, katsu. Both were good. Price was a little high. But everyplace is high these days. I would go back again.

Yelp
this is my FAVORITE go-to lunch spot. my favorite is the mochiko tofu, I get it well done with extra sauce and they slay it every time I love it! I could eat this multiple times a week and never get tired of it. the service is so friendly and nice and the establishment is clean.

Olivia L.

Yelp
I loved this place until today, I placed a pickup order and everything seemed fine until I was halfway done eating my plate. A whole piece of chicken was raw, covered in the sauce. Took it back to the store to let them know and was blown away with how the responded. The girl at the front asked why I would return after I almost finished the food. The chicken was at the bottom and completely raw and I wouldn't have kept eating if I had seen it in the beginning.

Yelp
Food was hot and quick! This is a affordable consistent, quick service food place where if I was local--I'd come back consistently for lunch ! We got the poke, hotyah chicken (which was fatty flavorful and crunchy deliciousness!!) and the banana bread. It was moist and so soft and sweet of natural flavoring. The location is within a bunch of stores near the cinema in a plaza--not a sit down but a great place to grab a bite and go somewhere else to eat!

Yelp
Of all the plate lunch places I've had, this one was among the best Friday 11:30, only a couple people in line but a lot phone orders. Ordered the Lau Lau Kalua Pork combo (Friday Special) and the Hot Yah chicken. The Friday special comes with Lau Lau, kalua port, chicken long rice, rice , Mac salad, lomi salmon, and haupia. Lau Lau and kalua pork were moist and seasoned well. All items on the plate were individually delicious. Hot yah chicken is mochiko chicken with a sriracha Mayo. Crispy chicken and spicy sauce what's not to like. Definitely a spot to hit up after the beach.

Yelp
I forgot how much I love Food Company. It has moved around quite a bit in the past few years, but I am glad it is currently in the Keolu Theater area. I have just enough time to get lunch here. My friend is vegetarian and loves the mochiko tofu from here. I realized recently they don't even have it on the menu, so its super sweet that they will make it special for customers who request it. On the other hand, I love the mochiko chicken. It is sweet and crispy and there is so much chicken in a plate that I can eat half for lunch and save half for lunch the next day. I also really love the furikake salmon. It's perfectly cooked and tastes so fresh. It's not as large as the chicken plates, so I get this when I don't need lunch the next day :) All the plates come with a scoop of rice and a choice of salad. At some other places, I am on the fence about getting tossed salad because I am a little picky about the type of greens (I don't like the mixed greens from costco and a lot of places use that) and sometimes I don't like the dressing. At the Food Company, they use a romaine mix that I like and the dressing is delicious! They have one small table inside their new space. It's not a problem for me, but I think it might be somewhat inconvenient for some people. There is always plenty of parking. The people working here are very nice and they also sell a few baked goods and musubi. Definitely check Food Company out if you're in the area. I'm excited to come more often now that they are within my lunch take out radius!

Nick S.

Yelp
The Food Company has held a special place in my heart ever since it was just a small corner spot. Their Korean Fried Chicken and Mochiko Chicken are so incredible that I make it a point to return to Hawaii just for them. I've shared this love with many, and it's become a tradition. One day, I hope to earn the trust of the family to learn their sauce recipe--because being able to enjoy this meal anytime, anywhere, would truly be a dream come true. Compliments to the Chef and the family for sharing such an unforgettable gift with the world!

Yelp
It's really weak to mention this... the only "bad" thing I can say about this place is the name... but that's being really picky. This is the real deal and the Windward side version of Kahai Street Kitchen where you can expect really high quality food for slightly more than plate lunch prices. Note: they operate out of a bar and could be somewhat difficult to find. The website so really easy to order and allows you to customize your choices and payment is a snap. Some notable dishes: Loco Moco - this is an excellent take on the classic Hawaii favorite and made it better. Love that you could customize, you don't have to pick hamburger steak as your protein for example. Gone is the over salty and oily gravy, try this and you will wonder why this is not the standard. Grilled blackened ahi - like that the portion was just right, cooked perfectly, not dry at all which is easy to mess up with a meaty fish like ahi. Korean chicken - deep fried to perfection, liked the batter to meat ratio. Another good choice.
google avatar

Marissa K.

Yelp
Went here the other day. I love how extensive their menu is! We ordered the Teri beef and Mahi Mahi combo plate and Hamburger steak plates to go. I love their desserts too! This is local comfort food plate lunches! Best to call ahead to order because they do get busy and there may be a wait.

Yelp
We were visiting Kailua town on the East side and found this place on Yelp with high ratings. What a gem, great tasting local food at local's prices. Located in secluded area next to a peaceful creek. Mochiko chicken lunch plate with macaroni potato salad and rice - This was wonderful and cheap; fried chicken coated with mochi flour. Saimin - too salty, not good, just noodle and bits of meat Combo Lau Lau, Kalua pig, clear noodles, lomi lomi salmon, rice, mac salad, and haupia dessert - Great tasting assortment of food at reasonable price. Pumpkin crunch pie - like pumpkin pie but with crunchy pecans on top and bottom is also crunchy, I don't think I can go back to \normal pumpkin pie after experiencing this. Butter Mochi - it was good but not amazing.

Yelp
Located inside of Boardriders in Kailua, the food here is pretty good! I've driven past it when it was located in Enchanted Lake but I have never been before. I went for the first time at their newer location yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I had the special, furikake ahi and my sis had the blackened ahi. Although I think the fish was slightly over cooked, the flavors were on point. The cook on the fish is preference anyways. I would come back and get some take out. The server that helped us was really nice too, sorry I didn't catch his name.

Yelp
This was the first time I've tried this place but have wanted to for a while and I've heard great things. So today was the THE DAY! I was really torn between a combo plate but ultimately went with the hibachi grilled New York steak. I immediately dived into the mac salad, which was AMAZING. But the star of the show should have been the steak with onions and mushrooms. Sadly, there were maybe four mushroom pieces and probably ten small pieces of onion. Not the wondrous piece of meat slathered in mushrooms and onions that I was expecting. But whatever, I can live with that if the steak is good. Unfortunately, the steak itself was almost rare, poorly seasoned and riddled with fat and gristle, I could barely get through it. My dogs were happy though :) Not a great first impression but I may try again and order something different,

Yelp
Love the mixed menu board. Little bit of love for everyone. Sandwiches to vegan to local plate lunches etc. Meatloaf and guava chicken was the choice for us today. Meatloaf was a good chunk flavorful. Took that with toss and mashed. Love places that offer rice or mash options especially sometimes with gravy. Love gravy rice but sometimes that mash hits the spot too. Anyways back to the meatloaf. Only thing one of us didn't care for much was the bell peppers inside. Other than that it was gone lol Guava chicken, on the sweeter side. Would like to have it skinless as the skin was little on the thicker side and chewy as it wasn't boiled or baked etc. Shouldve ask em for char em. Like the burnt sugars on grilled stuff like this...ho don't get me started on the dark black pieces on Char Siu lmao. Overall great portions friendly staff lots of selections for local and tourist.

Yelp
Everything is always delicious here, you can't go wrong with whatever you decide out of numerous options.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! It was our first time to Hawaii and we stumbled across this place while trying different places to eat everyday and this was by far the BEST meal we had on the island! Packed with flavor and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and we're from San Diego and have never tasted such flavor served in this way! We tried to go back but they were closed on sun/mon lol highly recommend whether you live on the island or are visiting from out of town! Love this place!

Yelp
Don't miss the melt-in-your-mouth butter mochi! Best to buy 2 because 1 package won't make it home. Seriously, probably the best I've ever had.

Yelp
I discovered the Food Company had re-opened during the COVID-19 shelter in place order, so I thought I'd support this local business by ordering lunch from them one day. We tried the hamburger steak and korean style fried chicken - both were EXCELLENT! Call ahead for quicker service. Don't forget to grab one of their desserts while you're there. So good!

Yelp
Still getting used to all the the changes during this pandemic. The staff of one was really friendly and helpful. You can do a walk in order, but the signage ask you to wait outside after you order. I did a call in and pickup. My order was ready when I got there. Ordered the Shrimp avocado salad and the roast Turkey plate. The salad consists of mix greens topped with bay shrimp and thin slices of avocado. It was the dressing whih made this salad to shine ( similar to thousand island but better). Roast turkey was tender and juicy. Served with mashed potatoes, stuffing and your choice of tossed greens or steamed vegetables. The mashed potatoes was silky and delicious. The turkey gravy was excellent. Looking forward to trying their other offerings.

Yelp
Hawaiian cuisine for Aloha Friday in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii... My neighbor told me about the Hawaiian plate specials on Fridays at The Food Company and I was all in! I had first heard about this restaurant from Donna O., my trusted Yelp friend. The Food Company used to be in Enchanted Lakes, by Safeway. It has moved near Target and Kaiser Permanente by the Kawainui Marshlands. There's a free parking lot behind the building - where you can see the wild ducks next to and in the water! In the daytime, the restaurant is The Food Company which serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. At night, the place transforms into Boardriders Bar and Grill - with live music! Right now, during this lockdown period, the restaurant only allows 3 customers in at a time. Please observe the 6 feet apart rule...and Only one customer at the counter at a time please. When I ordered the Laulau and Kalua Pig Combo plate, I was disappointed that they had run out of lomi salmon. This was about 11:30am. Oh, well... The two scoops of white rice went really well with the kalua pig which gave flavor to the chicken long rice. (My mom uses ginger in her chicken long rice, so, I'm biased.) I appreciated the "natural" tastes of the laulau - some people would add salt. (No salt is better for those with high blood pressure.) The pork and luau leaves were moist and tender. I usually don't eat Mac salad because my Auntie Lily (RIP) makes the best. However, I was hungry and this mac salad was comforting. The haupia had a thick, creamy, satisfying coconut consistency which nicely completed the meal. Yeah - I wen wak dat buggah! Now that I know where The Food Company is, I wouldn't mind returning! I'd like to get everything on the menu!

Yelp
Haven't gotten food catering services here, but I have gone in to grab some of their baked desserts and they have a great, little selection to choose from. You can also order a plate lunch with a variety of options to choose from for your protein. If I'm ever in the area again I would revisit.

Yelp
If you haven't tried The Food Company Restaurant, now it's the time before they close on Saturday 12/21/19. Saturday they close after lunch and Friday early after dinner. They are known for their local plates such as the nori wrapped stuffed ahi and even some healthier entree like Kalbi tofu. They have Hawaiian plates on Fridays and extensive menu for breakfast! If you're in the rush, they have some mochiko chicken w/ musubi bentos and grab and go delicious desserts and spam & mochiko musubi on their counter. The brownies are rich & full with chocolates! They have a cafe next door which you can dine in and be served. It's a different from from the casual sit in/take out side. The cafe will serve their last supper on 12/24/19. They are only open for dinner. They have several possible prospect places in Kailua to reopen their restaurant again so if you haven't had a chance to go this week, you may have an opportunity later. I just heard their lease was not renewed so they have to leave their current location after 23 years (1996). Thanks for reading my review!=)

Yelp
The food was very tasty and they were generous in their portion size. The service was good for take out, the food was ready when we got there with all the utensils.

Yelp
Always delicious food, good price and friendly service! Make sure to get some desert too! Lemon crunch and blueberry cheesecake! Sooo yummy!

Yelp
One of my favorite mochiko and Korean fried chicken's on island! Five out of five shakas

Yelp
I went here to look for musubi's. Blossoms ran out, and I didn't know these guys opened a few doors down. Anyways, it was pretty early. The spam was super cold still, and my son didn't like it. I bought butter mochi, when I went to eat it there was mold growing underneath it. It was so late, but this happened a few months ago. The first time I went to the kailua location, we bought 5 plates of breakfast. My son's plates had Portuguese sausage and eggs, and the sausage was cooked, but it was spoiled, and all our rice was hard as if they didn't add enough water. I contacted them here on Yelp and called, and they advised that they would refund my plates. I gave them my card number, said thank you, and I appreciate it and guess what....... I got no refund!!! Both times I've tried to here I haven't had the best of luck on anything good .

Yelp
This was one of, if not my favorite meal we had in Hawaii. This place is hidden somewhere near Target if I remember correctly. Had to try a little bit of everything and we did not regret it one bit. Loco Moco, Curry Katsu, masubis, BROWNIES!!! You name it, we ate it. Such a great spot for down home food and I'm sure glad we stumbled across this place. The people working were so friendly as well. You gotta go give this place a try if you're anywhere on the island. Such a great place.

J K.

Yelp
This local owned food establishment has been around for years, always serving the best in quality food, and service in the Enchanted Lakes area. We highly recommend it

Yelp
Wow! I will be thinking about the Mochiko chicken with spicy mayo long after my flight has taken me back home. The rice: cooked perfectly. Teri beef: tender and delicious specially if they cut it into strips. Mac salad was *chef's kiss* we got another side of it. I also tried the mochi butter bread which was perfectly sticky and buttery. The lemon crunch pie was light but super decadent. Get a plate by yourself but definitely share the dessert! Good to know: there is no sitting area. My family and I were hungry so we sat by the car and ate our food. 10/10 will visit again if we're in town.

Yelp
Our favorite, TFC offer an excellent variety of quality local, Asian and American main dishes from breakfast through dinner at reasonable prices. Our favorites are Korean fried and Mochi chicken, TFC Bento, Hambuger Steak and the wide variety of special salads (try their Chop-Chop salad!). Their staff are always full of aloha! Best take out in Kailua/Enchanted Lakes/ Keolu Hills

Yelp
Our sailing tour guide highly recommended this place, and we LOVED it. There's a wide selection, which for me made it hard to choose from because I like to try everything, but I decided to get a classic, the loco mocco, and a special, the sear ahi tuna. The flavors were absolutely to die for and the tuna was so fresh, probably one of the best ahi I ever had! Check it out. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Mahalo to the ladies at the Food Company in Enchanted Lake Shopping Center. We loved our chicken katsu and mochiko chicken bentos. So ONO! And the desserts.....lemon bar and pumpkin crunch.....have to come back again for more!! You totally rock!! Appreciate the friendly and welcoming vibes. Easy to order on line.

Yelp
GOOD SOLID LOCAL PLATE LUNCH PLACE !!! The turkey plate is excellent. I especially liked the salad dressing but everything else was delicious. My preference is dark meat but this plate had a nice blend of both dark and white and the turkey was not dry. I could have used a little more cranberry sauce but I'm nitpicking now. The chicken bento was one of the best I've had primarily because of the musubi's. The chicken was a little sweet but it was still pretty good. The musubi's were excellent. Rice was cooked well and not packed too tight. Nori added a lot ... reminds me of "small kid time ... aka "Hanna Batta Days". The poke was probably one of the best I've had. Lots of seaweed which I like. Fish was fresh and not frozen. Just enough salt and shoyu. Kailua is lucky to have this place !!! I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN WHEN I'M IN THE AREA.
