I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Sacramento due to ongoing medical needs, and this one has truly stood out as the best so far. It was by far the cleanest—immaculately maintained from top to bottom. Everything in the room worked perfectly, which isn’t always the case elsewhere. The staff were genuinely warm, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to get much-needed rest. I also appreciated the convenience of the on-site dining option—definitely a bonus. I’ll absolutely be returning in the future!

Google
Business stay. Clean and modern hotel. Food was excellent and the service friendly. Gym was great — I loved the addition of a Peloton bike. My only gripe is that I’m not a fan of Keurig coffee machines; I’d much prefer to see Nespresso. Otherwise, an excellent stay — I’ll definitely be back!

I had a very lovely experience at the Fort Sutter Hotel! The staff was able to accommodate us and we appreciated their very pleasant and helpful attitude. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. This hotel is ideal if you want to be close to the excitement of the city. There are plenty of hotels and bars as well as tourist attractions within a short commute. When returning to my hotel room, I appreciated the chill atmosphere, I was able to get a full night sleep without any noise disturbance. Fort Sutter Hotel is definitely a premier spot to stay at when visiting our state’s capitol!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Fort Sutter Hotel! As frequent Hilton guests, we were pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful upgrade, which made our visit feel extra special. Outstanding customer service! The lobby is modern, stylish, and sets the tone right away—it’s clear this hotel has a trendy, welcoming vibe. The location couldn’t be better - quiet but still had a lot of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. We also loved having a fantastic breakfast spot (Cafe Bernardo) attached to the hotel, which made mornings super easy and delicious. My one small wish would be that they would offer valet parking-it would had made the experience even more seamless! Overall, the service, atmosphere, and convenience exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip!

We had a great stay at the Fort Sutter Hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet, nicely air-conditioned, and the beds were comfortable. The only minor downside would be the bath products- they had some pretty unusual and strong scents that may be off-putting (for example, rum-scented soap, and cilantro shampoo, if I recall?). So maybe bring your own products if this is something that matters to you. Otherwise, the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and did a wonderful job of honoring my request for connecting rooms on a specific floor. Breakfast was great with a variety of options, and the late-night bar snacks were very good too. The location is very walkable. Of note, we did not park at the hotel so we can't comment on the options available.

I travel all over Northern California for business. This is, hands down, my favorite place to stay!! The rooms are good size, clean, and very comfortable! The staff is absolutely amazing!! The manager, Sosa and reception, Nailah are so warm and friendly and recognize me every visit. The restaurant and bar are really fun with great food, atmosphere, and service. It’s so convenient to have it all right there! |I won’t stay anywhere else when I’m in Sac.

Google
Absolutely amazing experience. I’ve stayed there a few times for a charity golf tournament and the service, rooms and staff have been amazing every time. The front desk associates are exceptional and the manager I met was amazing as well. Beds are comfortable, hotel always clean as well. Will always stay there anytime I’m in Sacramento

Google
The staff and service at this hotel were some of the best we've ever experienced. And that would include experiences we've had abroad. Every staff member we encountered was gracious, accommodating, responsive, and professional.|We look forward to returning to the Fort Sutter Hotel the next time we're in Sacramento!

Yelp
I have stayed at the Fort Sutter regularly over the last year and this is by far my favorite hotel. The staff is incredible, from Nailah, Sosa and Allison to the bar and Cafe Bernardo staff. The rooms are always comfortable and clean. I have trouble sleeping in hotels but love these rooms and the comfortable beds. There is ample storage for clothes (drawers, pull-outs and of course the standard bar with hangers). The bathrooms are gorgeous with space to put my toiletries. The decor and vibe in the lobby and bar is so cute - trendy but welcoming with a great cocktail menu. I love the fact that you can order food from Cafe Bernardo at the Four Palms to enjoy with your drinks. And the service is always top-notch. Location is also great, close to yummy restaurants (Paragary's, Hidden Dumpling House) and tons of coffee shops (Temple is worth the 15-min. or so walk). The fitness center is cute and has the essentials. While I love this hotel, the staff is truly what makes this place special- they are kind, welcoming, incredibly helpful, and make you feel SEEN. It is so clear that customer experience is centered here at the hotel. They always go out of their way to help me with anything I need and are quick to trouble shoot. They're also fun to chat with and have such a welcoming presence. This is a great hotel for someone traveling for business or for a fun getaway. This will continue to be my resting place whenever I'm in Sacramento.

Yelp
This is a great location and setting for a hotel bar. We sat and had drinks and really enjoyed being there. People coming and going, good service, lively atmosphere. The back patio is phenomenal. The only maybe is the drinks. I don't mind paying for a good cocktail, but these missed the mark for me.

Yelp
*This review is for Four Palms (the bar), not the hotel itself.* I came here once during the week just for some drinks. I sat at the bar, and even though no one else was sitting there, it took a while for the bartender to acknowledge me. It wasn't until 3 other people sat down that he said anything to me (yet he talked to them first). 2 out of the 3 drinks I received were filled with so much ice. The other 1 was much smaller. 1 drink had red things (seeds maybe) sitting at the bottom of it. When I asked him about it, he said it was because of the mint, but I didn't trust that. He should have just remade the drink for me. The drinks tasted fine-- not that flavorful. Nothing to rave about. I didn't try the food. There's a couple of TVs and seating around the bar if you want a table.

Yelp
The best mid range hotel in Sac. This place feels a little luxurious, but it's simple enough to not price people out. The staff is good. The place is clean. Entertainment is good. Located in midtown, so best if visiting relatives or friends, or seeing a show; however, it's serviceable as a business visit as well. Just not as close to the business and government district. Reachable, though, by public transportation, a car service, or there's garage parking nearby.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel! We were greeted by Soto at the front desk. He was friendly and provided great customer service as check in was a breeze. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the modern design of the room and hotel. We had access to Netflix, also. In the lobby near the restrooms is a station to fill your bottles with filtered water. When you stay there , be sure to check out Cafe Bernardo. Delicious breakfast! I had the pumpkin spices pancakes. My wife enjoyed eggs , potatoes and sourdough toast. Lunch menu looked good, too and everything was reasonably priced. When we are in Sacramento, we will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
My girlfriend won a free night's stay, with dinner, champagne and roses. As part of a Valentine's Day giveaway Fort Sutter partnered with. With our busy schedules we had to reschedule our stay once or twice, and ultimately booked our our stay a few weeks after Valentine's Day . The Sutter team was always extremely understanding, very cordial in communication. The night of our stay we checked in at the front desk where a young gentleman greeted us, and congratulated us after he learned of us being the giveaway winners. He gave us the keys to our room and told us if we needed anything at all to let him know, and to enjoy our stay. Once in our room, I realized we didn't just had a standard room, but we're upgraded to one of their suites with a full work area, living room, main bathroom and bedroom with bath an shower. Roses and champagne were waiting for us on the coffee table, and they programed on the main TV and bedroom TV a personalized greeting. And left us a hand written note. For dinner we dined at Cafe Bernardo that shares a lobby with the Fort Sutter Hotel, and had a night cap with drinks at the Four Palms bar that's located in the lobby area. We got the late check-out, and had breakfast at the Four Palms before leaving. Would definitely stay at the Fort Sutter again for a nice couples getaway that's still at home. It was nice to get away without having to get away, and Fort Sutter made it perfect!

Yelp
If I could give it zero stars I would. I'm so angry I can barely write this review. My husband was stuck in the elevator for 2 hours here. The emergency phone in the elevator either did not work or simply went unanswered. He had 1 bar of service and luckily was able to send a text message asking for help. The hotel was not apologetic in the slightest, showed ZERO urgency to get him out and when they did, they blamed him for causing the elevator to stop (??). They accused him (my THIRTY YEAR OLD HUSBAND) of jumping up and down. After 2 hours in there, he had to climb down about 4 feet to get out. Thank god our toddler wasn't with him.... And thank god he didn't have diabetes, epilepsy, asthma...etc. The situation was so incredibly poorly handled by this hotel that I felt we were being pranked. Oh! And in exchange for his troubles, he was offered a fifty dollar food voucher. I would absolutely NOT recommend this hotel but if for some reason you are forced to stay here-- take the stairs.

Yelp
The wonderful staff went above and beyond to help my sister and me during our stay in Sacramento. We are so grateful to Tanya, Nailah, , Julian, and Allison ! Also Sierra the restaurant mgr and her team Brandon , Shilah,Nick and Jasmin were there all so welcoming and kind . Thank you all ! We will return !

Yelp
We love the bar at the Fort Sutter Hotel. Especially, their server Paige! We go about every 6 weeks, and every time Paige remembers us and greets us with the best smile!! Just an awesome bar/restaurant!!

Yelp
Frequent traveler - one of the best, most clean and great amenities. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms and hotel are spotless.

Yelp
So nice, I just had to stay twice! Found myself back in town and needed a place to work remotely while visiting family, so naturally I chose to stay here again since I had such a great experience last time. On this trip I was able to use the fitness center which is perfectly stocked with the necessary essentials - weights, cardio equipment, mats & foam rollers. (I've added 2 photos for your reference.)

Yelp
$7 for an in-room water - don't price gouge your guests, please. Better yet, then make water refill stations much more readily available/seen. But now, the review... The bed was so comfortable. This hip midtown hotel is off of the beaten path of downtown Sac and I kind of liked being nestled in a more residential area with hip cafes nearby. The place is seemingly new with a great looking lobby, bar and in-house restaurant. I didn't imbibe so I can't speak to it. Staff at the front desk was super nice and they have counter market selling some sweet eat treats and other goods. The room was nice, modern and new, with Malin+Goetz bath products. As mentioned, that bed was nice, and I don't say that often about hotel beds. I could not figure out the shades for the life of me, so I sadly didn't get that blackout morning. Overall, a really great stay for the price if you don't mind not being downtown. (About a $8-$10/uber). If you weren't ruthless with that in room water gouging, I'd be giving you that 5 stars of glory. * :) * I stayed one night and used zero amenities and didn't park. Take this for what it is!

Yelp
Came back to Sacramento for a Celebration of Life service and lunch, so I decided to stay at this new property. I am so glad that I decided to stay at this Tapestry Collection by Hilton property! Convenience wise, the property is about as far east than one can go in Midtown. As a result, it's much calmer than being in all the activity in Midtown and downtown of course. As this property is part of the Paragary family, both Paragary's and Ink restaurants are a very short walk away. The Front Desk staff was very friendly and helpful upon check-in. I was recognized as a HHonors Lifetime Diamond Member, so that was very nice. The room I has was a larger/upgraded room on the 6th floor. The 2 nights I was here it was very quiet, so big kudos with this. As this is a new property, the condition of the room was brand new. All the modern-day conveniences were present. The lobby bar/restaurant area which is called Four Palms was very lively with both hotel guests and local patrons. The service at both the bar and restaurant area was excellent! The food options are well above what would be considered "bar food". The food is provided by Café Bernardo which is attached to the hotel lobby and is outstanding. Overall this property deserves 5-'s. I highly recommend if wanting to stay near the Midtown Sac area that this property be seriously considered.

Yelp
I placed an order at the bar for the Mary's chicken and a pizza to go. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. I asked where is my food. No response. I said.. can I at least get my pizza to go. They brought it out. No apologies. Just, here you go. Too much turnover of the staff and management. Poor service. Place has gone down hill. No reason to go back.

Yelp
Really nothing special here to report. Four Palms Bar is the hotel - lobby bar inside the Fort Sutter Hotel. It's actually pretty small, with seating at the bar tops, a few loungey couches, a few booths and some outdoor / patio seating. The menu is Cafe Bernardo like the one on 15th St. Like I said, nothing special to report. Maybe just a cute bar for influencers to take selfies? That's 'bout it.

Yelp
What can I say?! Everything is so perfect and everyone is super nice and friendly! My check in was so quick and the one who helped me in that was Tierra. She was super nice and very professional! Also Ju'vae was too! They were very friendly, helpful, and professional! The room was beautiful and everything was super clean! I had some work to do so I sat the bar and the bartenders were friendly and super sweet! I'm honestly in love with this place and I look forward to staying here again!

Yelp
This was an amazing find and experience. From the pleasant and helpful receptionists, to the beautiful scent throughout the property, and the spotless rooms were really well designed. I even found a new favorite dish at their restaurant, the Red Curry Thai with Chicken, so will have revisit just for that! Thanks so much for my delightfully perfect stay! While on my way to the hotel, I called ahead to them know that I was still on my way since it was so late, so they would know to hold my reservation open. Tanya, the receptionist, answered and made sure that when I arrived, that I would be well taken care of so all I needed to do was get my key and go straight to bed. Thank you for being such a value add to the establishment, Tanya!

Yelp
Have stayed here many, many times. Anytime I am in Sac. The hotel is very clean and quiet in the rooms. The bar downstairs is great and has some fun drinks and food. The service is always pleasant and quick.

Yelp
Hotel was amazing the first week! Staff at front desk is amazing! I ordered a steak and it was cooked perfect! Now we get to the second week here ....a night of non stop buses coming in across the street super loud til wee hours of morning . Thought maybe just a fluke but then the noise really picked up! The following night non stop guys yelling back and forth . Now tonight , third night of almost zero sleep , it's blasting music literally all night and still going strong and lots of backup warning beeping over and over and over! This has really got to stop as we are at the hospital all day from 6am til between 10pm and midnight then can't get a wink of sleep for basically more than 30 minutes or so at a time ! Then all of the sudden we have issues with housekeeping this morning . It really seemed like someone was playing a practical joke on us. Literally walked in to the beds being halfway made with the covers hanging off the side, a pillow stuck right in the middle of the bed under the covers and then the top pillows put in place but messed up. The second bed was basically the same without the pillow right in the middle Strangest thing I've ever seen. The counters were obviously not cleaned at all, and the bathroom towels were thrown in the middle of the sink. My first thought was maybe something happened in someone had to run out in a hurry, but that wouldn't explain the beds being made and then sticking pillows in the middle of them. I'd love to fix this review but I'll speak to management first as I haven't had time and I'd love to give an opportunity to make this a perfect stay as I know it could be. Again staff was great and restaurant was great . Walking distance to all parts of hospital . Beds comfy and only 1 day of idk what housekeeping.

Yelp
Absolutely was very impressed with this hotel. First off, the hotel was stunning and very clean. There is a parking garage right next door where you self park. The front desks folks were wonderful. Sadly, didn't get either of their names. However, one is a pretty blond lady and the other is an African American man. I had spoke to both of them on the phone before arriving and they were very kind and accommodating. 5 star service all around. We also ate at the brunch place connected to the hotel, and felt that it was delicious. One of the best brunches we've ever had. Will definitely be returning to this Hilton!

Yelp
I'm all about this place!!! My favorite hotel when I stay in Sac The service is great The rooms are super clean And the location is key:) They have a bar in the hotel with great drinks and amazing food. Gotta try the espresso martini They also have a coffee shop and breakfast restaurant attached , just walk through the lobby. Amazing egg Benedict

Yelp
Beautiful hotel within walking distance to the hospital. Very clean rooms and super comfy beds!!

Yelp
Definitely upscale in design and the photographs you see online definitely are on point with what you'd expect to find once you arrive. The lobby is immaculate, modern and chic. One of the most luxurious stays we've experienced so far with the Hilton properties. On the downside, if you're here with family you might look elsewhere. Fort Sutter, due to it's convenient midtown location and proximity to most restaurants- it better suits those visiting for business rather than leisure. No pool for the kids, no microwave in the standard rooms or a fridge. And yes, I did do the research before I booked our stay since we were bringing along our 1 year old but, being the resourceful Mom that I am, we made it work. The location really is ideal! Tons of great restaurants in the area and the hotel does have a full bar and cafe within steps of the lobby. This is a beautiful property. If it were just my husband and I the next time I would definitely stay here.

Yelp
Great hotel with a fabulous staff! My husband and I had a weekend getaway and wanted to stay at an upscale, boutique hotel that was close to some of our planned activities. This hotel ended up being perfect. From check in until check out, everyone was extremely friendly. The room was clean and quiet, and I he bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was fine but it did take me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to work the shower. I love that the amenities include Malin + Goetz products as their shampoo is amazing. I also appreciate that the hair dryer was full sized! We would definitely stay here again!
google avatar

Terri R.

Yelp
Perfect location in Midtown. The rooms are nice and great service; helpful Front Desk associates. A Cafe Bernardo location (a local favorite) is in the hotel with a great menu. Four Palms, their bar has a varied speciality drinks menu and you can also order food which has items from Cafe Bernardo. There are also restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. We found a great Farmers Market the Saturday we were there. We enjoyed our weekend stay. The hotel is easily accessible to Sacramento sights- the State Capitol, Old Sacramento, Sutter's Fort Historic State Park snd lots more.
google avatar

Kayla J.

Yelp
My review is regarding the Four Palms bar inside the hotel. I went here with my friend last week for some drinks and the vibes were immaculate! The gal helping us was so nice, and I had the best espresso martini I have ever had in my life... I can't stop thinking about it! It is also decorated so cute and the bathroom in the lobby is beautiful and really clean. Additionally, it was pretty lively which we were pleasantly surprised by. My friend and I are talking about taking a staycation here since we loved our experience at the bar so much!

Yelp
This location was great to be next door to starbucks and wallking distance to great retaurants. Our check in experience was just ok and we were given too smelly rooms on the third floor with windows that did not open. It was so hard to be switched to a room with a window that opens. One room had to endure the smell and no fridge and windowns that do not open. We tried to eat at the restaurant and the avocado toast was on bread that tasted old. The waitress told us the buttermilk pancakes were vegan because there was a v but I told her to check and they ARE NOT VEGAN. The front desk answers the phone sometimes and it seemed to be a shortage staff. There was a big fight with a guy who was parked in the loading zone because he said it's not fair the manager parks in the loading zone so he should be able to park there. The load argument went on for a long time in front of the hotel. Besides the smelly hallway and the smelly room, it's in a great location. I would never stay again. Staff seems untrained. Do not ask for anything extra. So much attitude from the front desk. On the good side, location. Water stations. Ice on every other floor. Photo our view of the freeway. The first room we got faced a cement wall.
google avatar

Yelp
The Fort Sutter is in a great location! The staff member who checked us in was very friendly. The lobby and connecting bar are beautiful. The hotel is connected to Cafe Bernardo and you can order room service directly from them. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and decorated nicely but not over the top. The curtains had nice detail on the pulls. The room was very quiet. I would certainly stay again.

Yelp
This could not have been a more perfect date night! Whether you want it to be romantic or social, I highly recommend trying a night here! We didn't book a room, we solely came here for dinner and we were not disappointed at all. Alex was our server, she was sweet and bubbly and very knowledgeable about the items. When I asked about a sandwich she went into detail about how all of their sauces are made in house and the bread is freshly baked... FROM THEIR OWN BAKERY. The food was beyond expectations. There was a huge Macrame separation and the decor and aesthetic was so pleasing to the eye. They had an outdoor patio with a HUGE tv screen and we were able to catch some of the football game. The patio seating is comfortable and they have portable warm heaters. I loved the ambiance. The drinks from the bar were so good! I had the El Nacional and I loved it, it wasn't too strong that I couldn't enjoy it but it was well worth my money. The flavors were so delicious. We started off with the nacho appetizer, oh my gosh. There was so many more flavors than it appeared to have and it tasted so fresh! I ordered the Grass-Fed Habanero Burger (Sierra Nevada habanero jack cheese, bacon, iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayonnaise). I 86'd the bacon, and it was still the best burger I had in a LONG time. Meat cooked to a perfect Medium (I included pictures). My fiance had the Salmon Burger  (Avocado, tomato, pickled red onion, butter leaf, roasted chile mayonnaise) he was very pleased and I had a bite as well, it was great for a salmon option. Our server Alex also included that if you love Salmon you'll really love the Grilled Salmon B.L.T. too! It was really nice that she always had tips for us to add when ordering, it was really worth our money! We really felt like it was a steal to be honest! Their house made dressing on their mixed greens was probably the best vinegarette I ever had. I am usually a blue cheese person but I was really satisfied with it. Alex knew that it was our first time and she said suggested that we sit outside when we were ready and experience that too, so of course we did. It was so fun! I had another drink out there and the people out there chatting during the game were very social and made our night to be honest. The feel at this restaurant is very easy going and feel-good. It is classy and upbeat all at the same time. If you go I recommend asking for Alex just because she was an amazing server and I could tell everyone loved her. People would come and go and call her by name so I can vouch that she knows what she's doing!

Yelp
To be clear this is not a review of the hotel but the RESTAURANT within the hotel. My brother and I thought we go and have a bite to eat and support a local establishment. I ordered the ham and Gruyère cheese my order arrived at the table with a sliced pickle I took one bite and immediately noticed something was missing. I opened the sandwich and saw (1) one thinly sliced piece of ham, (1) small square cut piece of Gruyère cheese and (2) slivers of onions. What was missing was the rest of the ham and cheese. For $13.00, I could have gone to the supermarket Deil and received more ham and cheese. I pointed this out to the waitress and her response," I will let the kitchen know."Absolutely unbelievable.

Yelp
Not only are the rooms amazing, but the staff is amazing as well. Every time that I've stayed here the staff has been very welcoming. You can tell that when you stay here, everyone takes pride in working for this hotel. They really do a good job of going above and beyond whether they are the person at the host desk or the people cleaning the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
What is up with the perfume scent permeating the place? Walking into the lobby is like walking into a grandma's apartment where all the windows are painted shut. A cloying, acrid scent is way, way overdone. It was an eye-watering mix of gardenia and urinal cake. Why anyone would choose that for a place serving food is a head-scratcher. There were plenty of open seats at 5 pm, but fewer choices if you happened to have an issue with most of the upholstered chairs having milky, mystery stains on them. (We did.) Having stained furniture in the lobby kind of screams laziness, to me. Service was fine. Drink prices are 40 percent higher on the menu than the ones listed on their website, which is either super not cool or very lazy. Both, really. We were told the "internet was down" and we'd have to pay in cash. In 2023. And, we were told this happens pretty often. Also in 2023. If you're running a hotel in the middle of a major city and you don't have reliable internet service to process card payments, well... maybe you shouldn't be. Café Bernardo's food was good, as expected from them. But I don't think I'll hurry back to this stained chair/overpowering perfume/can't be bothered to update the website/no internet/hope-you-have-cash place.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a night while attending a nearby wedding. The hotel staff were very friendly. A lot of the decor featured paintings from artists. I enjoyed the modern simple look in the furniture pieces. The bar was definitely the place to be. Lots of opportunity to be social. The espresso martini I got from the bar was fantastic. The water pressure in the room was a little week but appreciated how clean the room was. Also, parking is shared with the nearby hospital so it's a short walk to the hotel. There's also some great restaurants nearby within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Robby T.

Yelp
I just wanted to say I stayed hear for almost 2 months while my mom was sick in the hospital. The staff was amazing but most important the restaurant/bar staff was the best , my mom was dying and everyday no matter how tired or upset I was this staff just kept me smiling. There was one imparticular member her name was lindsey she literally kept me going. Some people don't realize how important a joke or a smile or just an acknowledgement can be. Thank you lindsey for taking time out of your day and thank you to the staff for always being understanding and helping get through this trying time.

Yelp
They have a dumb no show policy. We booked a weekend stay from Friday night to Sunday and we arrived Saturday morning coming to find out our reservation had been cancelled. They never reached out to let us know as a reminder and there isn't any info about this on their site. Pretty buns place overall. No hotel parking and rude hostess. The blonde one.

Yelp
This is one of the most beautiful hotels under this brand. I love the clean bright white walls and trendy furnishings. My pics do not do this hotel justice bec it was so packed with people everywhere that I couldn't get good shots. The 2 person reception desk made me look 2x bec the employees get to wear their own clothing of choice and checking in the 2 ladies were decked out nicely and super friendly. The younger one was wearing a shiny blue suit. This morning I didn't even realize one of the girls was a worker bec she looked like the rest of us. Maybe name tags should be worn, but I still like that they aren't in uniforms. The mix of materials here is really exciting to me. The rope wall, which I've only seen in one other hotel. The linear fireplace with mix material wall surround and furnishings. The bar is beautiful and an eye catcher. The restaurant is clean, simple, but trendy furniture. They have lots of options. My hubbies over medium eggs were so perfect that I wished I had gotten the 2 egg combo. The bread he got was sourdough. I ordered pumpkin pancakes and only ate half of them. The store really lacked options, but everything else was a 5 star. The room felt and looked clean and bright. There's a full length mirror in closet. The coffee machine is similar to a Keurig. We definitely will stay here when in Sac and we highly recommend it!

Yelp
I'll start off by saying this hotel is very pretty and clean. Quiet and rooms are nice. But what got the 5 stars was the staff. Everyone was SO sweet. Every single employee I came in contact with had such a happy and sweet demeanor. When I came in, the first person to greet me was Kalece F. This lovely lady went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. An absolute ANGEL. She also recommended the cutest place to get some food and drinks close by. I'm not in Sac often but when I visit I'll be staying here.

Yelp
Excellent front desk customer service, they are helpful and willing to go the extra mile for requests and making your stay comfortable. The hotel rooms are modern, good quality and clean. The restaurant and bar downstairs are so convenient and have good food and drinks. Parking garage is available right next door, I think it's $10-12 a day depending on the day. Overall, very well worth the price and highly recommend!

Yelp
"...Viking has a deal with the Plaza Hotel, they got a two bedroom suite there, for out-of-town clients... So guess what I did?" - Elaine Benes, Seinfeld Da Scene: Fri. just up for the night to attend a family event Sat. Well, we didn't get a two bedroom suite, as the Fort Sutter doesn't have that size room... opt'd for 2 queens, as a king with a pullout is not a viable option for us, teenager deserves a real bed. Not as conspicuous an entrance as most hotels, I did locate it. Checked in online, but stopped @ desk to pick up a physical key... our experience with the Hilton App digital key has been hit or miss - seems fine most times, but can be troublesome at the most inconvenient times. Da Stay: Pretty new spot, modern feel, public spaces crisp & clean, no caffeine! As "pre-covid" for guests, most staff were following protocols, but I never felt judged acting "free". Room was smartly appointed with updated furnishings, plenty of storage, modern amenities, layout, just missing a few points: no luggage valet, had to lay a towel on the bed to unpack. 3 paper cups for in-room coffee/tea, but 6 servings - also, cups did not fit properly, must balance and watch! Da Service: Pretty good overall... Just some attention to detail to make this a true 5 Star Hilton experience. I'll SAY it... we're spoiled, even in these times as Diamond Tier members, we have high expectations on the service side. The valued greeting, welcome package, instructions on hotel services & amenities, etc. did not happen. When asked about what was onsite, when things closed down, where to park and get sundries, etc. staff were very responsive, but info like that should be delivered up front at check-in (found out before check Out that we had a breakfast credit in the cafe, timing issue and couldn't use!). Didn't bother mentioning/asking about Daimond welcome package... I guess I AM to proud to beg. I know it sounds a bit pretentious, but we do a lot to maintain that status and are accustomed to a higher level of attention/benefit. More GOOD stuff, the front desk staff and lobby bar/ cafe is great! Barkeeps make a great cocktail, and keep you feeling tended to. Even have a few eyedroppers for craft cocktails! Couldn't get the Grasshopper for my wife though... darn! We'll be back! Turn it up a notch on the service & Hilton experience and this will be a 5 Star review next time.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed with the hotel staff, the staff at the restaurant, and parking garage next door. The room I was given was facing the parking lot and the hospital next door. I could hear the noise coming from outside which began at 3 am. When I left, I requested a charge to be corrected on my account and it has not happened. The staff at the restaurant was rude not jut to me but other customers. A nice lady waiting in the bar area waited several minutes for someone to approach her and help her, but no one came to her. When she saw a server walking by her she approached him, but he told her she had to talk to the bartender. I could not believe it. The bartender, who was a young man, wasn't being nice to anyone sitting at the bar, except a young woman sitting by herself. Very unprofessional. The garage next door is not operated by the hotel and they don't validate it. When I was leaving the garage in the morning, the machine wouldn't take my payment, it gave me a message saying "payment can't be processed". I called for help but it took almost half hour for help to come. A nice gentleman ahead of me couldn't get out of the garage either and he told me it has happened to him before. We both were late to our meetings because of this. Be ready to be disappointed if you stay here. My advice is that you stay somewhere else.

Yelp
"Where the hell is the Front Lobby?!!" "Babe, it's right there..". Geezus. Coming up on the Loading Dock lol, we noticed people and a nicely lit lounge/bar from the Jeep. We get out and into the lobby and was greeted by the man at the counter, Chad. Chad was great in checking us in and giving us detailed info to what and where. Awesome people skills for sure!!! After getting settled in our room, we head downstairs to the bar and outside is a nicely open patio with a fire pit and out there, Edward Scissorhands was showing from a projector on a big ass screen against the next building over. Right above us are the rope lights making the night just perfect. We order drinks and we sit first at the lounge near a fireplace and 30 mins later move to the patio. In the morning, we get breakfast with the packaged deal we selected and Zackery from the restaurant took our order for the 2 Egg Breakfast and I must say, the food was... OFF THE HOOK!!! The entire experience was awesome and couldn't ask for anything more =D

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for Valentine's Day and were a bit underwhelmed. We had a nice room with a view of down town and even the capital. This was really nice. The bed was also quite nice and comfortable. Now the bad, the tv didn't work and once the guy came up and plugged it in, the channel Guide wasn't working. With so many channels it's pretty important. Also no microwave, no refrigerator, and no creamer of any kind for the coffee pods. There was a blinking light right over the bed on the ceiling at it was bothersome for my wife who kept seeing it and waking up. The bar downstairs had horrendous Service. Inattentive servers and long waits for anything. Then when were finally able to get out bill, it had out three drinks and French toast listed. That took another 10 minutes to fix with a long explanation of how the manager needed to back it out yada, yada, yada. Great location and huge potential, but sadly badly lacking in basic service and attention to detail.

Yelp
If I could give 10 starts I would! This place is fabulous!!!!! Absolutely gorgeous! The staff is impeccable!!!! I came in on an emergency! I was truly at my maximum capacity of stress. Once I check in it was a mini vacation from there. I am hearing impaired and the staff did everything they could to make me comfortable. I do have a few shout outs: ALEXIS: She works in Cafe Bernardo inside the hotel, to the right of thee front desk. She is so pleasant and full of cheer. You can tell she loves her job and takes it very seriously please tell her Sherrie sent you and says hello . Angelo M. Bartender at the Cafe Bernardo. We were having so much fun with Alexis, he was jealous and just wanted in on the pictures! Fun staff, very well managed. Hat tip to the manager, who checked on us often. Great, great, great staf! Last but no least KALECE: Front desk staff! My entire visit she was my angel on earth. Such an ambassador for the Hilton brand. I've been with Hilton over 30 years. KALECE reminds me of the Hilton you can no longer get today! But shows the core values the Hilton used to be known for

Yelp
My favorite hotel in Sacramento and I've stayed here a number of times over the last year. Pros - - Great staff (Tierra, lady who runs the gravy yard shift - sorry forgot the name, manager, security, ...) - Great rooms - clean, good amenities, smart TV - Cafe Bernardo is right there! - Very good location - Great ambiance for have meetings and such - Accommodated late arrivals (past mid-night) and late check out graciously Suggestions for improvement - Create more room in the gym, ventilation - Better discounts for HH (especially Diamond) - but I know this is a Hilton issue and not the property - A couple times the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers were not filled/not operational

Yelp
First time walking into the Fort-Sutter Hotel. I had no idea that Paragary opened up a hotel. It's beautiful! It has a beautiful restaurant and bar area. Zach the restaurant manager at Cafe Bernardo's filled me in on the story of the hotel and restaurant. It's good to hear that all the Paragary businesses and now their hotel are doing well and thriving even during this ongoing inflation. Looking forward to trying out Fort-Sutter restaurant/bar in the near future.

Yelp
I spent a weekend at the Fort Sutter and was both impressed and unimpressed with the hotel. I think if I were younger, maybe traveling alone or with just a partner, I would've loved the place unreservedly. It was less ideal for a trip with a young kid, when we could've used more service than you get at, say, an AirBnB. We booked this place because the location seemed convenient, and we were definitely right on that count. The Fort Sutter is in midtown, walking distance from almost everywhere we wanted to go. If you're not in Sacramento to go to the Capitol and all the businessy stuff downtown, I get the sense that midtown is the right neighborhood for a hotel. Our flight got in before 11 on a Friday, and I called in advance to inquire about early check-in. I was told that they'd do their best and I kind of figured we'd get it--I'd made the request a week before our stay, and was also pregnant and traveling with a toddler. When I called after we landed, it was clear there was no record of my request. It was fine, we went to lunch, but we never even got a call that our room was ready. We ended up checking in at around the guaranteed 3:00 time, and housekeeping was still getting the crib into the room. It turns out that almost no one works at this hotel. There are two people in housekeeping and maybe two at the front desk, and usually only one at a time. Service wasn't bad, exactly--in fact, everyone was as friendly and accommodating as the circumstances allowed--but it was spread so thin that it was almost nonexistent. Not only was there no on-site parking, there was no indication whatsoever of where we were supposed to park (the public garage next door). No one helped us with our luggage. One of the overworked front desk employees (they were on the phone almost every time I saw them) made a half-hearted offer when we had already made our way through the doors with suitcases, stroller, and child. There were no coffee cups in the room (though there were a few lids?), no pen and paper, things we looked for but didn't find because management must have decided to limit the items that would have to be refilled during a visit. There was no complimentary drinking water anywhere on the premises. Housekeeping was waived by default, which I don't mind, but there was this pretense that it was for environmental reasons and not because the hotel has no employees. Anyway, the room was great, which was more important than any of the above. We decided to get a suite since we were traveling with the kid, and I thought it was quite attractive and not overpriced. Clean, spacious, pleasantly decorated, with lots of windows and a good view of the city. The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms pristine, and there were plenty of places to sit. The suite also had a mini-fridge (apparently the regular rooms don't), which we needed, and the hotel-provided crib was sturdier than the usual pack 'n play. I'd recommend the Fort Sutter if all you want out of a hotel is a nice place to sleep. This is probably what most people want, and it worked out for us, too, more or less. Just be warned that the place is laughably understaffed. I hope the few employees are well paid and not too overworked.

Yelp
Stayed here for 2 nights bc I got a good deal on a third party site. The rooms are clean, very basic. No fridge, no microwave. The front desk guy was great the night I checked in but the second night the lady working the front desk was super rude. After a certain time at night the front four requires a key to get in, elevator requires a key to make it go up to your floor. Parking garage next door is paid parking. If you are not an honors member then internet also costs money. Late check out costs money (up to 3 pm, $75). There is room service which was cool. Pets are welcomed. It is definitely not a hotel I will be staying in again.
