Absolutely adore this venue! So aesthetic, so convenient for guests. The lighting inside and outside is beautiful, with industrial and organic touches - truly a photography dream. My daughter recently got married here. The experience was awesome. The owner was pleasant, very accommodating and a sweet lady. The staff was great as well. The host-a litttle Pinoy young lady- I can't remember her name, was the best. Also another young lady Erika, I don't know her role- was great too.

The Foundry is hands down one of our favorite local venues to photograph at. We photographed a wedding here earlier this year and everything from the variety and uniqueness of the space to the entire staff was perfect! There are so many creative spots on site between the rooftop gardens, indoor greenhouse, skyline views, and ivy exterior that we were able to keep the day nice and relaxed, photographing everything on site. Definitely cannot go wrong with this venue! Can't wait to to photograph here again next year!

Great event venue with very attentive staff that are welcoming and warm. I was particularly impressed with their staff service, a step above most fancy restaurants in NYC. A good configuration of rooms allow dining, cocktails and dancing.

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing, and the versatility of the space made it perfect for their celebration. Gorgeous wedding venue with very versatile spaces! Great in any season and excellent suites for getting ready for the bridal party

If you have visited the Foundry, you know how amazing and beautiful it is, but what you don't know before you work with them is how responsive and helpful they are once you have committed to them. We had about 130 guests and used the main room for the ceremony, the greenhouse room and space outside for the cocktail hour, the courtyard for the reception dinner, the main room again for the dancing, and the greenhouse room again for the after party (11 to midnight). We also rented the Du Val suite for getting ready, and it was a superb space for the groom's party and extended family to get ready and hang out and also has the most beautiful garden with city views. Our wedding was absolutely amazing and vindicated our immediate love for the Foundry that we developed the first time we toured it, and the Foundry staff are extremely helpful and kind.

Was there 7/9 for an event. This place is beautiful, meticulously capped and very trendy in a great way. While not what I am accustomed to, the place was awesome. Staff was attentive, friendly very professional and never missed an opportunity to deliver great service and great food/beverages. All the food, from appetizers through main course through drinks through dessert was 5-star in every way. Apologies for no pics, this was a private event. If I were doing a very upscale event in greater NYC, this would certainly be top of my list

It was a pleasure to be invited to SSUNDAZE, a Secret Summer festival, here in Long Island City / New York City on a Sunday afternoon and evening a few days ago. It was good to go and feel great about the environment. We knew what to do. Located at The Foundry on 42-38 9th Street under the 59th Street / Koch bridge, this was an excellent place to be July 26th. The weather was nice. The team was warm. The greetings were friendly. The visitors were enjoying themselves. And yes, the alcohol was flowing. It was the place to be for the feeling of an event you might have attended or created on another day. We went to the four different bars to choose from. Each one with different versions of old standards. SSUNDAZE Tequila. SSUNDAZE Vodka and Gin. SSUNDAZE Cocktails. Or a SSUNDAZE soft drink. All was available as you made your choice. We had to start a Tequila Sunrise with fresh cinnamon and ginger leaves. We also had a Vodka Lemonade, also made with ginger and a little bit of honey. The drinks were light and tasty, with a touch of summer in them at this time. It was not heavy for the day. We also saw an offering of white or red wine that was slightly cooled for the day. There were even other choices of traditional vodka tonics, gin and tonic, and other choices to have at your convenience. It really depended on what you wanted and when. There was even an away of water and soft drinks as you walked around. This was from Topo Chico to take and have at any time. You would find Ginger Ale, Sodas, Iced team, Lemonade, and more. You would even find plain bottles of water, or try for water that was a bit different and fresh with a little taste. All was yours today. As we enjoyed the visit we did talk around to the team who could fill us in on the place. Whether you wanted to hold an event for 1,000 guests or a wedding with only 125 people, you could do that here. The Foundry and the events could change for the event you wanted to hold at the time. There was a list of 5 or more convenient chefs and restaurants to select from. There were also local bars, winners and cocktails to choose from. There was a group to select and bring in when you were going to be there for your event. Better still, the location was able to be redesigned based on the purpose of the event and how it would manage best for what you wanted to do. Is it worth it? Yes, if this is what you would like. There is talent. Ideas. Talking. Food and beverages. Thus, as a guest, you can enjoy and talk. What you take is for you to have. Some of the talent there was strong. People try. We all enjoy the people who are there. In fact, we should move forward with the events and see it. Or show it. Do we have a show. A wedding. An event. Can we then think. Drink. Eat and have fun.

Four words: Book This Venue Now. Don't hesitate!!! I've been dying to write this well-deserved review (and also to find an excuse to post more of my incredible wedding photos). We searched for wedding venues on Yelp, and The Foundry was the second site visit we did. My husband and I immediately fell in love - both with the gorgeous space, but also the amazing people who work there (hi Lindsay and Angela!) - we knew right away this was our place. It's truly a secret garden oasis in NYC. I love that when you're driving there it almost feels like you're going to the wrong place, but then when you walk in, it's insanely stunning. Important things to note: - You have to be prepared to bring in all of your own vendors, this is just a raw (gorgeous) space. - The staff at the Foundry will give you amazing contacts and recommendations for who to work with - they make the process easy and fun - There are so many options for how to set up your event, which we loved. We used the main space for the ceremony & dancing, the greenhouse for cocktail hour, and the outdoor area for dinner which was literally one of the most beautiful places I've ever been (amazing views of the Queensboro bridge). We also were able to use the DuVall rooftop next door for photos - insane. Our friends have VERY good taste and have been to tons of weddings and NYC events - the number of people who told us this was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to is a big one. I could go on and on - but I'll leave it here. If you love NYC, want to work with amazing people, and want your venue to blow the minds of your guests, The Foundry is it!

I didn't know it when I first started looking but The Foundry was my DREAM venue! It is the perfect mix of a rustic garden blended with NYC and the 59th street bridge in the background. It is simply beautiful. All of our guests were impressed and we were lucky to eat outside as planned. Our guests were amazed that a venue like this exists so close to NYC and had fun exploring the spaces, and even bathrooms which have relics of when The Foundry operated as a factory!

Went for a wedding. The place itself is pretty. The servers were mostly good. The food was really bad. The cocktail hr consisted of 2 bowls of hummus, which they ran out of and never replaced, and a ranch dip with some veggies. In addition, they came around with maybe 5 Costco type apps that were mostly fried. Mushroom dumplings (meh), Mac n cheese balls (meh), some kind of imitation pork on a cracker thing (meh), mango mixed with something else on a cracker (meh), and small fried chicken balls with a small waffle (chicken was good). Overall, boring, fried, few choices and not very tasty. Dinner was not much better. It's a small plate menu where you are SUPPOSED to get everything on the menu. Apps were red snapper (decent but super tiny), barrata (ok), and sweet potatoes, which we, and many others around us never received, For the mains, there was fried chicken again (good) , a tiny single shrimp (ok) and gnocchi, which we never got. For dessert, there was the wedding cake and s'mores (which we never got)! Found out many people didn't get all of the dishes. This was the dumbest part...you had many servers constantly coming out with different food at the same time. They served the first dish to people around us then randomly brought out other dishes to other people or the same people. All piece meal and they didn't know who got what. How they don't bring out 1 dish at a time and serve everyone table by table all at once makes absolutely zero sense! When I asked THREE different servers for the food we never got, they either said "I'll look into it, then didn't get back to us, or said there's none left"?!?!Out of the 3 apps, 3 "big" plates, (which were tiny) and 2 desserts, we got 2 apps, 2 big pates and Only the wedding cake! My girlfriend, who is pescatarian, was starving and said we have to get dinner after we leave! I complained again and again and one server finally brought out a reasonable plate of the fish with pasta for her. They also brought out more of the fried chicken to everyone bc not only was it the cheapest, clearly everyone was starving from not being fed! Would not recommend having your big day here! Looks nice but big thumbs down for the food and some of the servers who were useless!

Attended a wedding and reception at The Foundry. This was a great venue for both events as the staff easily transitioned between the two events. As expected, the food was the outstanding. The bride and groom had an unusual theme for the event and the staff accommodated their requests.

If you're paying for the ambiance yes this will be the place. If you're paying for food? Stay away tourist people. $20 for the smallest portion of a calamari thats not even a calamari. The poorest service for a five star restaurant. No one checked if we were doing ok, the server that was assigned to us either was overworked that night or he just doesn't care. I would yelp other bistro places if you want to do happy hour in the city.

My husband and I are wedding photographers and The Foundry is one of our absolute favorite venues. There is absolutely so much to photograph there within the property and the adjoining Ravel Hotel. As a customizable space, it is always a treat to see its appearance change for every event. It is a top notch venue and every wedding we have photographed there was incredible!

A definitely pleasant bonus (sanctuary) for your run-of-the-mill, overwhelmed, jet-lagged, outta towner staying at The Westin @Times Square.

I never dreamed of having a wedding but when it came to planning our own wedding we knew we didn't want to get married at a banquet hall. I love greenery but since my husband wanted hard liquor served at our wedding, Napa was out of the question. I was recommended by two of my coworkers to check out the Foundry. One of them even got married there even though he was a UK resident at the time. The Foundry was definitely a stunning unique space amidst a desolate area. What drew me in was the lush ever growing ivy wrapped around the exterior of the old restored building and inside the greenhouse. I never imagined finding a garden venue in the city. As everything in life, we decided to check out other alternatives before making a decision. I brought my husband to probably ten venues before going back to the first venue we checked out. Everything else paled in comparison. My husband and I had our concerns of the limited capacity the space could hold but it helped us narrow our guest count to our closest family and friends. Our point of contact - Angela and Lindsey were very responsive. I probably emailed them daily during the weeks leading up to the venue but they always responded promptly and usually within the hour. Since the Foundry was naturally beautiful in itself, I kept decorations simple with lots of greenery, candles and ivory flowers. It definitely looked like a secret garden on the day of our wedding and served as an amazing backdrop for photos. Thank you for restoring this 19th century building so that my husband and I could share our special day with our closest friends and family.

Wow what a place! From the exterior and the neighborhood that it's in, you would never expect this venue to be so lavish and beautiful. I attended a good friends wedding here on a Friday in September and it was a magical night. The staff here is excellent and attentive, I had a person from the valet opening my door as soon as I pulled up front. The layout of The Foundry is perfect. The cocktail room was spacious and perfectly lit for a night wedding. Outside for dinner, there was a tent setup, strung with bulb lights overhead. I liked how the dance floor was inside in a separate room instead of right in the middle of all of the dinner tables. I have to say, this is a perfect venue for a wedding if this type of place is your aesthetic. I would totally recommend having a wedding or event here and would gladly be a guest at another celebration here!

The Foundry was disappointingly among the worst event venues and customer service experiences we've ever experienced in nearly a half a century. Not just in a borough of New York City but in the US and globally. We have never experienced such an arrogant bar, employee and Management staff. To that extent, the manager was shockingly spite-full and nasty. Even worse, not even in a nice, trendy, area, rather, under the bridge in a borough. Is that why they were so obnoxious, pretentious and arrogant? If the service was competent, well paced and efficient we might at least say that was a mitigating factor. Sadly, it wasn't. In fact, the service was slow, aggressive, disinterested and equally arrogant. The staff was on a power trip that propelled them to have their customers have an unpleasant experience. Had we known the experience was going to be so unpleasant we would have politely declined. For those that are considering going, we would encourage you to think twice, as it is not likely worth your time and effort.

I looked at this space as a potential wedding venue. Let's be upfront and put out there right away that the surrounding area is not that great. It's very industrial and desolate. I felt safe, but I couldn't imagine my friends' and families' reactions pulling up to the space. I couldn't really get around that. Which is a shame, because the interior is really stunning and unique. There are huge skylights and natural vegetation. There are multiple spaces to play with. The Foundry essentially provides the space and three staff members on the day. But the party is left to have a coordinator of sorts and to find the caterers, tent, decorations, music, etc. That's either a blessing or a drag. Liz, who showed us around, was kind but talked way too quickly. She flipped through a binder of photos so fast that we had to ask afterward to flip through it again ourselves.

We attended a wedding ceremony last evening at the Foundry and we just want to say THANK YOU for the OUTSTANDING job you did on the entire event. We especially want to thank the STAFF. We have never experienced a staff who provided such wonderful service. They were efficient, polite and caring and it showed in everything they did. The food was wonderful as were the snacks and beverages. We would highly recommend your facility for any event. THANK YOU

It's hard to believe a dream venue like the Foundry exists in NYC (or anywhere) They've got it ALL! Each design detail has been perfectly thought out. They've somehow managed to preserve the original historical elements and details while making it feel fresh and impeccable. Even the sunlight there filters beautifully and the vibes are always so magical. Theres always something new and interesting to look at and they're constantly thinking of ways to make sure their guests' experiences are top notch. Not only is the venue itself incredible, The team there is GOLD. They'll make sure your process is flawless and are total professionals all while also being super easy to work with.

This is a very delayed review for our wonderful wedding September 29, 2018 at The Foundry! Angela and Lindsey were so helpful during the many emails and site visits to make my dream wedding come to life! The history of this space is palpable, and the loving care and maintenance does not go unnoticed. There are countless options for configuration depending on which spaces you use for ceremony, reception, etc. Our guests were truly wowed by the venue and our wedding felt like a fairytale! It is no wonder it can be challenging to find Saturday availability, but the calendar on their website is extremely accurate. I kept checking dates and magically a Saturday in September became available through another party changing their date. We were lucky enough to have already done a tour of the space, so we were able to secure the date. If you are interested in the venue make sure you do a site visit, let the girls know, and keep checking the calendar!

Couldn't picture our wedding taking place ANYWHERE else besides the Foundry. My wife heard about this venue via word-of-mouth, and feel in love with it before we even got engaged. It was the first place we looked at, but had a feeling our guest count was going to be too high, and that we wouldn't be able to have it there ... After viewing numerous other venues, and emailing back and fourth with the amazing team @ The Foundry (special thanks to Julie, Angela, Allison, Lindsey, and of course Gina who we miss), we pulled the trigger and locked in The Foundry as our venue for our 9.25.15 wedding date, which was also our 10th Anniversary as a couple. The team @ The Foundry answered ALL of our questions, and trust me, we had plenty ... They worked perfectly with our vendors, kept us at ease, never rushed us, and always made us feel welcomed. We utilized the courtyard, main room and green room, and we ended up with around 190 guests ... Did not feel packed AT ALL! THE FOUNDRY ROCKS!!!

WOW - I'm so glad we chose The Foundry for our wedding! First off, the space is stunningly beautiful, and even though it's technically a raw space you don't need to do much to it to make it wedding ready. I'm obsessed with the courtyard, which has ivy covered everything and a great view of bridge, and the roof terrace which has insane views of the skyline and overlooks the gorgeous courtyard. We fell in love with it on our first walk through, and though it's certainly not cheap my husband and I agreed to "splash out" on the venue and cut costs elsewhere. So SO glad we did. We rented the main space (reception), terrace (cocktail hour) and greenhouse (ceremony) for our October 2015 wedding, and it was just perfect for 116 guests. The staff is so accommodating and helpful. Angela was our main contact, and she was so professional and knowledgeable from our very first walk through. Everyone else I spoke to over the year of wedding planning helped confirm that the place is run incredibly well, and they most definitely know what they're doing. We had originally rented the courtyard instead of the greenhouse and had to do a last minute change due to an unexpected tropical storm on our wedding weekend, and the staff was great at making the change on the Friday before our wedding on Sunday.We knew we were in good hands with the staff, so a huge thank you to everyone who works there! The location (which I was initially worried about) was actually quite convenient for our guests to get to. We had the out of towners stay at The Paper Factory Hotel nearby and hired a bus to get everyone to the venue (15 min drive), and the locals either took the subway or Ubers. No one reported having any trouble getting there, and I think it took most guests staying in Manhattan or BK like 20 minutes to get there. All in all, we were thrilled with The Foundry. Thanks again for making our big day magical!

We had our wedding here several ago and were still obsessed. The vendors they work with are literally all amazing. We chose to work with Jose Rolon as our wedding planner and words can't describe how amazing our experience was. The people at the Foundry really make you feel like family.

Happy hour at the foundry turned into 4+ hours! Dimitri was our server and couldn't have been more personable or attentive! He deserves a five star rating!

We had our wedding at the Foundry in May 2012, and it was just wonderful. The space is truly unique and makes for a non traditional but more updated wedding. It is a little pricey, but we decided to have our wedding during the week which saved us a lot of money in addition to having our choice of dates. (We planned the wedding in 2 months, and the weekends at the Foundry booked way in advance) The staff, Jose and Julie were fabulous and accommodating, and they recommend so many wonderful vendors. The guests were in awe of the place and I am sure the pictures are going to come out wonderful. Seriously consider using the Foundry for your party, you will not regret it.

The most incredible venue. Absolutely magical. Words cannot express the feeling you get when you walk in. Everything about the place is stunning. Knew the second I walked in that I had to get married there. Planning was super easy (thanks to Lindsey and Angela) and the vendors that they work with/recommend are incredible.

As seen on Gossip Girl... When I received an invitation to a wedding that was to take place here, I immediately looked it up online. After a few minutes of looking at the pictures I realized I had seen this place before (During the "Kiss on the Lips Party" episode of Gossip Girl... What? Yes. Quit giving me those looks.). One of the miracles of television is how large they make this place look. It looked massive on screen, but much smaller, yet still airy (due to the high ceiling), in real life. This is one of those fantastic re-purposed spaces that springs up in the more industrial areas of NYC. Formerly a foundry (obviously), it's all brick and girders, with intimate alcoves for small tables and a mezzanine for a few longer tables, which line and overlook, respectively, the hall for ceremonies and dancing. They've done wonders with the lighting making what could be a sterile place, warm and even sexy. Even though it was lovely out, we didn't get to enjoy the patio. The only reason it doesn't get a full five-stars is because it really is hard to get to by foot/subway and cabs don't come down there so to leave you must get a livery car. All in all, four and a half stars!!!

What a beautiful venue space. I attended a 35th birthday event here and although it was rainy and the patio wasn't available to us the decor was stunning. The space was small yet cozy and inviting. The FOOOOOD is so delicious and the cocktails were even better. Such a great place

The Foundry is a gorgeous space. It used to be a working foundry, and the design is airy and sculptural -- the walls are brick, the celing is metal and glass, there are huge skylights that go all the way up to the high roof, and the space has beautiful details like urns and tubs. They share their courtyard with a landscaper, so on weekends the courtyard is filled with greenery and flowers. Their terrace is gorgeous with a fountain and really simply designed, lovely furniture, and has a view of the water, the Manhattan skyline, and the nearby bridge. The design, look, and feel of this place sets it apart from other venues and was the single biggest reason we booked it. We had a 70-person wedding, and only used the first floor inside the building for the ceremony and reception, with the cocktail hour on the terrace (so we did not use the courtyard). They can set tents outside and acccomodate a much larger wedding than ours. The terrace and courtyard are extra costs. Cons: The space is on the more expensive side. You have to be in and out on the same day, no exceptions, so you can also incur costs for late-night rental returns. There wasn't a ton of space to get ready -- just one smallish dressing room for the bride -- so the groom and the wedding party did the majority of their getting ready offsite. None of this affected us enough to demote them a star, though. The timing is similar to other event spaces in the city, and they actually give you 12 hours instead of the usual 8, and the pros far outweighed these cons in our minds. Pros: Obviously, the space itself. So amazing. The people who run the space (Allison, Julie, and our hostess Liz) are great, very professional and responsive. The space has a big, full commercial kitchen for caterers. They also has some furniture already -- we used their cocktail tables and chairs upstairs, their benches for tables in the alcoves, and their large black table for gifts and escort cards, so we did save some money with rentals. You also save on decorations, because the space itself is so gorgeous that you don't need to embellish much. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous this space was.

It was our first venue that we looked at and we pretty much knew it was the place for our wedding. As you know, it beautiful, but the people that work there are so nice, professional, and helpful. When our day-of planner wasn't able to work for us, they recommended someone who was INCREDIBLE. If you do go with The Foundry, I strongly suggest you use their recommended vendors (they have a whole list for everything from caterers to lighting), because they all so clearly work together all the time and gel with each other, and it showed given how smoothly everything went the day of.

A BIG thank you to Angela and the Foundry for helping us create our dream wedding! The Foundry is a one of a kind space and a true gem. It is a raw space rental, so we were able to customize our wedding to make it very "us." We rented the main space and the terrace for our September 2014 wedding. With approximately 115 guests the main space was very comfortable for dinner and dancing (even Greek dancing!). We used the terrace for cocktail hour - which the guests loved, they took photos of the skyline and all the lush plantings. If my budget permitted, I would have loved to rent the greenhouse too - it is a really cool indoor space adjacent to the main room. Working with Angela was great. She was extremely kind, calm, and professional. She worked with us along the way to make our vision a reality. When the big day came, we barely knew she was there, but she was coordinating with our DOC and making sure everything ran smoothly. At the end of the day my husband and I were extremely happy - we actually got to enjoy our own wedding! The location of the Foundry is actually quite convenient. There are several hotels nearby - we had guests stay at the Hotel Z (two blocks away). It's about a 10 minute walk from Queensboro Plaza so our local guests had access to public transit. For guests that drove, there was plenty of onstreet parking available. Western Queens is known for its food options especially Astoria, so we were able to find a local caterer that did Greek food - which was phenomenal. Our guests also enjoyed their weekend in the Astoria/LIC area - lots of great and unique restaurants and cool neighborhoods - also convenient to get to Manhattan. I highly recommend the Foundry - best wedding venue in the NYC area! Thank you!!!

In a fit of nostalgia, I wanted to post a rave about my November 2006 wedding at the Foundry. Mind you, we got a great deal on the rate by getting married off season, on a Thursday before the venue was featured in gossip girl but, as wedding venues go, it remains the only spot I've ever been able to picture a wedding that felt "like us." The worked with us on a tight schedule (we booked the space less than 3 months before the date of the wedding) and gave us all the access we needed to view the space to plan with our caterer. We used the inside only, and set tables back in the recesses on the first floor and along the railing of the second floor. It was stunning. We kept the decor simple and chose colors to compliment the striking brick and metal that make up the space. Friends are still telling me how unique, funky and intimate our wedding and reception was. The staff were excellent and reassuring, and the day-of security and coordinator were invaluable. I saw another reviewer express concern about the curb appeal, given the neighborhood. I actually kind of love that the area is so desolate but then you walk into this gorgeous, modern and unexpectedly warm space. Our guests loved it and I loved watch their faces as they walked in. Absolutely worth every penny and the work of self-catering, if you can swing it.

Went to a wedding here! Love the venue, and food was excellent. Only downside is from the outside you wouldn't know this gem existed. I have no idea if the catering was done in house or not, but that mushroom spread was to die for, and the charcuterie and cheese on the table was pretty good as well. Uber ride from midtown was about 18 bucks

I attended a wedding reception here and was very impressed. It's a beautiful brick building that has been completely renovated inside. High ceilings, a landing overlooking the open dance floor area, and an outdoor area for dinner (although for us, it was tented with plastic, as it was pouring out with ripping winds). The staff was friendly and accommodating. One draw back is that, because of the huge open space, it was kinda chilly and it didn't seem that there was any way they could heat it well. I felt a bit like a rock star hanging out here, as Kanye West recently had a party here...

Myself and a group of framily went to the annual Halloween party at the foundry. I have been dying to check it out because it's my wedding venue in my head, lol.... anywho... it was a blast. The dj was rocking and there were some awesome costumes. It's an awesome space that you can turn into anything. I will be attending next year as well. :)

My best friend had her wedding at the Foundry this past Memorial Day weekend. It is one of a kind. The venue is beautiful. There is a greenhouse, courtyard, terrace and mezzanine. All these spaces could be used in different variations. The ceremony was held in the mezzanine, cocktail was held in the greenhouse, and reception in the courtyard, fully surrounded by greens! The venue has a very rustic and whimsical feel. Cozy space in all areas of the venue and each space felt like it came out of a secret garden scene. I highly recommend this venue to those looking to hold their big day.

The Foundry was the absolute perfect setting for my September 2016 Wedding! Angela and Lindsay and the Team at The Foundry were so pleasant to work with and made our day stress-free! The Foundry allowed us to host our entire Wedding, from ceremony to dinner to dance, in their multiple gorgeous spaces. We decided to host our dinner in the Courtyard, but honestly, would have been just as thrilled if weather turned bad and had to move it inside, as the inside main space and Greenhouse are just as gorgeous as out! This is a dream venue if you are looking for a completely customizable space. A big thank-you to The Foundry!

Words cannot begin to describe how incredible the Foundry is. My wife and I had our wedding there and it made the event a one of a kind experience. We held our ceremony in the Main Space with 120 guests and it was perfectly intimate and cozy without being cramped. The structure of the space allowed our guests to flow naturally into the Greenhouse for cocktail hour while we took photos on the Terrace, which was stunning. The greenery of the entire venue gave our wedding the natural feel we wanted and the bricks and views of the city and complemented this nicely with a rustic urban touch. We worked primarily with Angela and Lindsey throughout our planning process, which was an absolute pleasure. They are both informative, responsive, and always had great suggestions when we needed guidance. They ensured that everything came together smoothly and made the entire experience stress free. We highly recommend renting the space - it will transform your event into a memory that you will cherish forever.

We only visited one venue and immediately knew it was "the one" for us. I loved that it blends a raw industrial city vibe with outdoor garden party as climbing ivy covers nearly all the walls of the Foundry, both inside and out. We were so smitten with the entire venue that we ended up using three of their available spaces. We had our ceremony in the Greenhouse which has a spa-like feel with its delicate ivy on the light brick walls, beautiful sunlight through the skylight and window, and a quietly bubbling fountain decorated with candles. We had our cocktail hour on the Terrace and where everyone got to admire the view of NYC, which is what makes the Queens location so special. We had dinner and dancing inside the Foundry's main space which flowed perfectly and needs little decoration since it is already so beautiful. Our guests were all very excited because that was the space most of them recognized from the various TV shows on which The Foundry has been featured. The Foundry's staff has a great relationship with our wedding planners (Exquisite Affairs Productions) and our caterer (Marcey Brownstein's Leslie Russell) so our event ran really smoothly. Angela, our coordinator for the Foundry, was warm and bubbly and quickly fixed the only blooper that happened all day (I completely forgot to bring my iPod with the pre-ceremony playlist, she grabbed my iPhone, downloaded the playlist and got it running before anyone even realized that there was no music playing!). The Foundry was spotlessly clean before our wedding began and was kept clean throughout. For couples who are looking for an alternative to a more standard wedding venue, the Foundry is a perfect choice. Besides, any venue that has a cute dog named "Waffles" for a CEO has to be good.

I recently held my wedding here and would highly recommend this venue. The staff is great and extremely helpful. The place is GORGEOUS and really needs minimal decorations (a money saver!). The outside is great no matter what the weather because there is an option for a tent. All of my guests commented what a unique space the Foundry is and how much they enjoyed it.

We had our wedding here and it was PERFECT!!! Everyone loved it, and really there is no other venue in New York like The Foundry. We rented the Main room and the Green Room. No courtyard as it was still cold. The space was perfect for our 113 guests -- not too crowded and not too empty. We had our ceremony & reception in the main room. Cocktail & hors d'oeuvres were in the green room. I cannot describe how beautiful the light in as it streams through the glass windows of both rooms. The vines along the brick wall are to die for. The coordinators we worked with were all such a delight, and very responsive. We had vendors (caterer, florist, etc) who have all worked at the Foundry before, so coordinating between everyone was a breeze. Stringing cafe lights across the main room create such a beautiful ambiance, too. I will share photos when I get them in a few weeks. For brides & grooms planning their wedding --- do not hesitate to book The Foundry if you love it. It is worth every single penny. PS. If you book the Foundry (or any other venue that needs catering), I would HIGHLY recommend Real Food Catering. They are phenomenal and have worked at the Foundry many times.

My wife and I recently got married here. The space is obviously amazing, with its industrial chic vibe. I also must say that working with the staff at The Foundry was a pleasure. Julie and Allison are amazingly responsive, and they accommodated all of our requests. We used the indoor space for both the ceremony (with theater seating) and dinner. Cocktail hour was on the rooftop balcony which has breathtaking views of the Queensboro Bridge and Manhattan Skyline. The Foundry is a unique venue, but one that both you and your guests will never forget.

My attendance at The Foundry was for the Queens Eats event. I had no idea what type of venue it was but having a doorman open big doors for you made quite an impression. The interior was spacious and the design was minimal but classy. With the brick walls and candles it felt Medieval-ish. There's also staircases on either side to go up the second level where there's some seating and overlooks to see the crowd downstairs. There's huge skylights about with fans overhead to cool the crowd. Only downside is the location because it is in a fairly industrial neighborhood.

I went there for an event. The event itself was blah but the space is def beautiful. With multiple rooms and different out door spaces with nice views.

The Foundry is an amazing place to have your wedding. It is a very unique space and caters to one event at a time. We rented the entire space and tented the courtyard. As the evening progressed, the space became more and more beautiful. It was truly a night to remember. The staff is very easy to work with and extremely accommodating!

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law had their wedding here in September, and it was really nice. The facilities are beautiful; the area used to set-up the bar was very cool. I enjoyed the outdoor space and was pleased to have the option of smoking a cigar in the non-tented area. I hope to be able to go to another event there soon because it was a lot of fun.

Came here for an Edible Queens event. What a venue! Beautiful bare brick walls, 2 floors with loft, bathroom upstairs is strangely co-ed, sharing the same door to the sink, but separate doors for bathroom stalls. Evidently there is a garden area, but I didn't get to see it as it was not accessible during the event. Various alcoves in the main room make for intimate seating for an event and then there is a separate, more airy (read sterile, white, no bare brick walls) if you want more of a summer feel to your event. Awful location in LIC though, not easily accessible from transportation, very industrial neighborhood, and from what I understand, there is some sketchy "element" to be found around these parts as well, so be mindful. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Beautiful reception hall with amazing brick and ironwork. Went to my girlfriend's company holiday party here back in December and fell in love. Candles give the main hall a gorgeous glow, and the staff is top-notch. The second room was opened for a dance space, and everyone had a blast cutting a rug. This was the best holiday party I've ever been to, and the nicest venue I've been to in/around the city.

I recently got married at the Foundry and could not be happier with my decision to do so! We worked with Lindsey Hamma, who was absolutely fabulous. The space itself is GORGEOUS. With our other vendors, we were able to create a totally intimate and unique atmosphere for our special day. The staff the day of the wedding were absolutely phenomenal! I know that they were there, but everything was handled so seamlessly I barely saw them. We had our ceremony in the greenhouse, cocktails/dancing in the main space, and dinner outside under a clear tent. Despite the rainy cold weather, even the clear tent was an amazing and beautiful part of the experience! I could not recommend this venue or the staff more highly!
