"Named for Bobby Orr, the Fours is the quintessential Bruins bar. The Boston location closed in 2020 after over 40 years in business, so Bruins fans can’t hop right over before or after a game at the Garden anymore, but Quincy and Norwell locations remain in business. The Fours Quincy has been open since 1994, packed with sports memorabilia and serving an extensive New England-y comfort food menu, from steak tips to baked scrod." - Erika Adams, Eater Staff

Been coming here for over 15 years and I always brag about the fours. But today I was really disappointed and I can tell inflation is real here. Kudos to the waitress but the food was not good at all, Asian wings were very salty and big. It was not crispy, and the fries were huge too. Not sure if I will be coming back.

Google
Great place for dinner! Drinks were great! Had the hibiscus mai tai…delicious!! Steak tips were great! Love the outside seating. Had Julie H for server, she was friendly and inviting!

Google
The food was good and reasonably priced, we went at lunch time and there was no wait, but we finished our food and had to leave but couldn’t find our waitress for 10 mins. The clam chowder was really good with large pieces of clam and potatoes, the soup was the right consistency and flavor so that was worth it. They have a variety of options from burgers to salads to choose from so it’s good for a group with different tastes. There’s parking out front but it was full so it’s a little difficult to find parking here. The interior was full of Boston sports team items and definitely picturesque.

Google
This spot is a good go to sports bar. The food is bar food and it's pretty good. The there's is a pasta salad and a sides option, which I appreciate. The food also came with baked beans that were a nice sweet side. I got the John Kelley and my friend got the Yaz. Both were good. The John Kelley could've used a bit more sauce, but really no other complaints. The service is good. I recommend it for a chill place to grab grub.

Google
Recently had catering order for 15 plus person family party - steak tips, rice and salad. Friendly on phone. Helpful pickup- assisted in bringing out to car. Delicious steak tips, rice and fresh salad. Easy, delicious and reasonable prices. Will definitely order again.

Google
Really fun atmosphere. I am glad that they have sweet potato fries, and lots of salad and burger options. My burger was cooked nicely but outlier than I like. Some places grill and some fry and i imagine this was fried so I like it less, but they do have a good selection of cheeses (bri, Gorgonzola, cheddar, etc), and other toppings, including Portabella mushrooms, which I love! It was pricy. $19 for my burger and fries. It’s more than the website says by far ($13 on the website). I got sweet potato fries, but that should only have added a dollar, so the prices have gone up. Fully accessible but there are three big doors to enter.

Google
I just had lunch from the Fours and it was fantastic. It was conveniently delivered to my office today and there was no sacrifice in time or quality. I got a California Cobb Salad which was fresh and tasty.

Google
Like the sports bar atmosphere here but it is nothing like the one that used to be near the Garden. We waited 15 min before a server came over and food service was then painfully slow. Large menu and fine prices, but quality was rough. Coupled with the terrible service, we won’t be returning anytime soon. I want to hope the hostess was new, but she couldn’t find the table she was supposed to seat us at, despite the manager telling her exactly where it was and how to get there.

Yelp
The food was great ! But today our server wasn't that friendly . I understand the holidays but I do think any customer deserves a nice and polite server. I definitely will be back. We love your food the restaurant in 99.99% the customer service and the people working there Thank you very much. Keep the great job up.

Christine D.

Yelp
I enjoy their sports memorabilia. Food is great and the bartenders are awesome. They don't use QR codes. 5 stars.

J R.

Yelp
First time dining here and was very impressed how wonderful spot is to eat, drink, and chat with guest! Table service was great and attentive and food came out and looked very appetizing. Was not to busy yet it was a perfect time to sit eat relax and enjoy some wine or beer of your choice. It was easy to have a conversation and chill. Was a good enjoyable time to sit talk and eat!

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, I'm a man of many fine words, but I can't sugarcoat this people. There's nothing poetic about this place. The Fours is yucky folks. I'm sorry but I said what I said. I'm convinced this place is called "The Fours" because there's a maximum of four people in here at all times. That, or it stands for the four horsemen of the apocalypse. These of course being conquest, war, famine and death. Or in this case, Doug Flutie, Larry Bird, Bobby Orr and David Ortiz. Now perhaps I'm being overzealous in my opinions for this place, but look people I'm old. When I get bad food, I send it back. When I have a bad experience, I yelp about it. I'm doing you people a service, you know. Im tired of hearing that yelp is just a platform for pretentious know-it-alls, because it's not. Yelping I'm my opinion is a public service and an honor, and should be recognized as such. People are so ungrateful. They don't understand what value these sort of reviews add to the world. Where would anyone be if they didn't hear contrary opinions of everything? Or worse, knowing where all the bad food was in their local area? I digress. The Fours fails to deliver on the culinary front. It's too pricy. I shouldn't have to put a down payment on my appetizer people. And for a mediocre slider at that. I mean come on folks, what's going on here? There is one thing The Fours is good for however. I'm no stranger to getting drunk. Patron, PBR or Picklebacks! You name it, I've drank it. The Fours bar is a fun place to be. If I'm going to watch the Red Sox get demolished by the Orioles, I'd like to be demolished too, if you catch my drift.

Yelp
We went to the Fours Alford a Going Away Party for our Band pastor and his family. The food was good and I'm a server at church and I'm raising my granddaughter. She was sick on the night of the party, so she couldn't attend. I asked if i could make her a small plate so she could have something to eat when I got home. They said No we don't give anything to go on event dinners. I was put off by this because I just wanted a little something to bring her home to eat. I'm wondering what they will do with all the food that was left over. Probably take some their self.

Charlie S.

Yelp
I had a rehearsal dinner at The Fours for my son and daughter-in-law. From my first experience with the event manager to the bartender and wait staff, I was very impressed Everyone was attentive and professional. The food was delicious and the room was comfortable. The price was very affordable and I would highly recommend this location.

Jen S.

Yelp
Clean, courteous, tasty. This spot opens for early lunch at 11am - wooo! Tried the chicken with wild rice soup and sliders. Soup was tasty and the burgers didn't last long with their toasted brioche buns and pickled garnish. Bar looks like a fun spot to catch the Sox. Definitely will return.

Yelp
Great visit at The Fours. We went at 7pm on a Monday so it was not busy at all. Immediately seated and staff were very friendly. Seating was nice and vibes were great. Food came out relatively fast. Boston Scrod was delicious: flaky and flavorful. The ritz cracker topping was interesting but went well regardless. Fries were nicely cooked. Onion rings were also nice. Honestly, no complaints. Prices were reasonable (expect to pay $15-20 for a dish, $10-15 for an appetizer). It was a wonderful dinner and a great place to hang out with a big group of people. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Parking in area is terrible but they do have a parking garage across the way that's pretty cheap. $2 Sat nite at 7pm , 30 min wait. Good thing bar is soo big. We found some seats at window to have a drink while waiting. Apps were the sampler. Potato skins / steak and cheese eggrolls and buff chicken tenders. The buff chic tenders were ok but not enough heat. The steak and cheese were terrible. Chunks of fat and egg roll covering tough and rubbery. The potato skins were good. Entrees were the Bobby Orr steak and cheese, Shrimp and scallop Dianne and Chic Caesar wrap. I'm told the wrap was very good. The Bobby Orr on the small side and tips were chewy. My shrimp and Scallop plate was surprisingly good . Nice pasta dish with a tasty white sauce loaded with mushrooms and cheese. Scallops delish but shrimp were just ok. Overall it's pub food and it's not bad but also not noteworthy enough to rush back. I will say our waiter was fabulous. A tall guy that was very attentive . I also love all the sports memorabilia all over the place.

John H.

Yelp
For a group of 17, I thought the service was great though that could be because it was a slow Tuesday night. The menu is quite extensive which makes it a good choice for large groups with different tastes. I got the steak tips but they were cooked well-done so a bit dry and tough. I can't remember if I was asked how I liked my steak but make sure you tell them if they don't ask. The veggies and mash that came as sides were okay. I did like their buffalo chicken dip and pretzels. The portions are big for the price you pay. Also lots of outdoor seating and a huge garage next door that makes parking easy. Lots of TVs so a good spot to catch a game.

Sasha K.

Yelp
Buffalo chicken mac and cheese was fantastic. Really creamy sauce. I wish it had a little more buffalo in it, bit still was incredible delicious. I've been here twice while traveling on business, and the bar has always been welcoming and a fun atmosphere.

Joanne C.

Yelp
Went late afternoon 10/28/23 and had Nicole as our waitress. She was not very attentive or friendly. The food was good (Bobby Orr with fries and Bobby Riggs on gluten free roll with salad). They do not have many gluten free options or a dedicated fryer...no big deal. Sports memorabilia on the walls. Nice atmosphere. Gave it a 3 for the service.

Caroline M.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner a few nights ago. I don't remember the server's name, but he was friendly enough. My only criticism is when he was cut, he didn't bother to tell us that we were being handed off to someone new. Not a huge deal, but communication is appreciated. We didn't see him for a bit and had a question, so we had to wait until the new server came by to ask. Other than that, the food was good... standard pub fare type selections. The decor is a sports lover's dream, so if that's what you're into, you'll like this place.

Emma T.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and attentive staff. It's definitely a sports bar with TVs and memorabilia covering the walls. The food is alright. It's exactly what I was expecting, which isn't a bad thing. Good portion sizes. We'll definitely come back sometime!

Theresa A.

Yelp
This place is always solid. We have been here in small groups and in large groups and have always had good luck. Food is consistently good, and they have sandwiches, entrees, fish, pasta and buffalo chicken nachos. We went here during covid, with a baby and wanted to sit outside. It started raining and even though they were super full inside, they managed to accommodate us inside without much fuss. I usually get turkey sandwich but recently got the pasta primavera and it was yummy. Definitely recommend.

Jimmy H.

Yelp
I've been to the Fours a few times and have ultimately been a little underwhelmed each time. It's not bad for what it is but for the price you could definitely get much better in the immediate vicinity! The food was a little bland and took a very long time to come out. The service was slow as well and it took a good 20 minutes to get our check after we asked for it. Overall not good but not terrible either. Go to Idle Hour instead!

Charles W.

Yelp
The host was rude, service was slow, but the food was good. I got the Doug Flutie and they put the tomato on the bottom which made the fresh bread bottom soggy and put the sauce on the top which soaked into the fresh bread and made the top soggy as well. We had Buffalo chicken Rangoons which were bomb. We also had pretzel bites which was supposed to come with a Dijon cheese sauce but it was cold and tasted more like honey mustard. I think they made a mistake, but the pretzels were amazing.

James P.

Yelp
So back in South Weymouth for the holidays and back at the Fours. Had to have the same dish it was simply amazing Seafood Sauté Mussels,Scallops, Shrimp and Lobster over fettuccine. Also shared a dessert Apple Pie Eggrolls with Vanilla Ice Cream with my wife and brother in-law to top of the meal. The fours in Quincy is a great place to relax and have some great food try it if your in the area.

Frank T.

Yelp
Went here on a busy Saturday night. The food was quite good, I would highly recommend the teriyaki steak tips.Good atmosphere, but a bit too loud for my taste (I know that's the point of a restaurant like this). The service was not very good. We got drinks, ordered, then had to flag our waitress down 30 minutes after our food arrived to ask for refills. The service may have been due to them being very busy, so I can give them the benefit of the doubt.

Roy R.

Yelp
Good looking interior. Pleasant hostess. Great server. The Bobby Orr sandwich was INCREDIBLE! If I was local, this place would be a regular haunt! Great spot.

Mark T.

Yelp
Apparently, their food has been named "stuff of champions", based on my experience, this is more in the names than the quality, which was alright, at best. Ordered a Bobby Orr, only with salad instead of fries ("surprise me" for the dressing). For something that is supposed to be the house special and "The greatest ever!", this meal left me feeling rather disappointed. The sandwich was on the dry side with only meat and cheese, and no onions or veggies (other than the pickle). While there was a fair quantity of meat, it was cooked to more of a medium-well, and I wouldn't call it tough, but neither would I call it tender. It was also little under-seasoned for my taste. A little BBQ sauce would have gone a very long way. The side salad (instead of fries) was lackluster. The veggies felt like they have had better days. They weren't wilted, but they lacked that freshness and crispness you find in fresh produce. Baked beans were good, I only wish there was a little more of them. The location is was larger than I expected and filled with sports memorabilia. The service was solid, no complaints there.

Regina T.

Yelp
Had a 30 minute wait on a Friday night, which isn't too bad for this area. Service was great and they had some seasonal drafts ans drinks. Got mussels for an app that was good enough to be an entrée. Ordered the steak medium rare and was really happy with how it turned out--cooked perfectly medium rare. Was pretty normal food for a chain, with good service! Would go again for a casual dinner out

Melissa H.

Yelp
We were looking for just this sort of atmosphere. A lovely wood bar. Charming tile floors. Wood all around. Nice sports memorabilia (not tacky). Super friendly and funny bartenders. And then the food!!! Salads bigger than our heads, topped with tender and delicious steak tips. What a great end to the day!

Evan I.

Yelp
Clam chowder was ABSOLUTELY delicious as a starter. Chicken pot pie special after blew me away. Recommend 110%

marcia g.

Yelp
I really enjoyed lunch here. Great selection. Fresh food. The best waitresses. It's a friend,y local spot where there are clear,y regulars. It's a step up from pub food but the overall experience was so enjoyable and satisfying, I am sure I will return.

Victoria W.

Yelp
Great cheers like ambiance. Fast service, attentive servers, flavorful food (BBQ Burger & Chocolate Cake). A great place to unwind after work or for a weekend getaway.

Theresa L.

Yelp
The food is fantastic I got ribs with tips my daughter and son-in-law got delicious meal. The kids got chicken fingers and fries everything was fresh . We got it to go. You know think I will be getting food again this weekend. Go there it's my new best place to eat.

Jade W.

Yelp
Order for pick up, chicken parm.... Was super yummy and very large for one. Defiantly shareable

Christian T.

Yelp
Great place to watch sport games or patio beer sessions with the boys. Burgers were great! Fish tacos were fresh and delicious! Service was quick too! I'll be here a lot during the summers.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Pre covid review: I got a flight of beer (which came in a weird carrying trolly and took up a lot of space) and a mushroom pizza which was full to the brim of mushrooms and good -- cheese was a bit weird. My friends enjoyed their sandwiches and fries and we were all a part of the clean plate club.

Yelp
Fun night at The Fours with the fam! The Fours is THE sports bar; we love the authentic sports memorabilia. Try to sit in a different section each time you visit to immerse yourself in Boston sports history. Our server was excellent! (I don't remember her name, but know she has worked there for many years.) She graciously and patiently waited on our table of six adults and four children, brought our food out piping hot, and checked back several times. The cheesy, creamy, and spicy Buffalo chicken dip was served with crunchy tortilla chips and veggies, and the crispy Nachos with chili, tomatoes, and jalapenos, were smothered in cheese, guac, and sour cream. Potato skins were more like half potatoes covered in cheese and bacon. The Bavarian pretzels were served with a tangy cheese dipping sauce, and the Buffalo chicken rangoon was a big hit at our table. The clam chowder, a Fours favorite, was thick and creamy, and the salads and sandwiches were excellent. It is always difficult to choose between my favorites, the Ted Williams, fried scrod, and the Robert Parish, grilled vegetable sandwich. The portobello mushrooms, zucchini, etc. were grilled to perfection with just a touch of char and did not leave the grilled roll soggy, which happens at many restaurants; and the melted cheese was nice and gooey. All sandwiches are served with sweet Boston baked beans and another side. Everyone said their meals were delicious!

Julio A.

Yelp
The fours in Quincy is an amazing bar/restaurant if you love Boston Sports. On every TV you will be able to find a sports game all across the country, heck, the world. Now, on to the food. If your a kind of person in need of an appetizer, I would recommend to order the Buffalo Chicken Nachos. They are perfectly cooked, taste how I would imagine heaven tasting like, with the nicely melted cheese, the crispy red, black, and white chips, topped off with the nicely tossed, and diced, Buffalo chicken. If you're looking for a small meal, I sometimes like to do the Steak and Cheese egg rolls. For the egg rolls, they are served sliced nearly perfect in half, with their special sauce which is good, even with French fries, which you can order as a side to any appetizer! If you are looking for a bigger - sized meal, you should go with the Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese. The creamy cheese melts in your mouth throughout, and it fills you up pretty quickly, so be ready to bring a box home! The service at the fours is good. Walking through a staff member will likely greet you with a smile or a "how are you doing", though at times, the service can be slow, but the food will make up for it. The atmosphere, in my opinion, is a perfect 10/10, from the baseball bats as door handles when walking in from the garage side, the goalie masks hanging on the walls, and all the artwork hanging on the walls. Overall the Fours in Quincy, Ma, is a solid 9.5/10.

Yelp
Amazing service Great burger Delicious drinks Very attentive staff from all aspects

Victoria B.

Yelp
tl;dr: Meh. Sometimes you end up at The Fours. I'm not sure why people come to The Fours a second time. Okay, I have some ideas -- like maybe they've been to the other places in the neighborhood (two of which I've rated very low). Maybe Fours is the only option? Maybe it's convenient by public transportation (a 7-minute walk to the Quincy Center stop on the Red Line). Or it's easy parking (there's a lot somewhere nearby). The decor is cool. Photos of old sports legends, a full-size crew shell from the University of Pennsylvania, stuff like that. It's large enough, with a big two-sided oval bar that runs the length of the restaurant, separated from the largest part of the dining area by a half-wall. I've never been downstairs, but it appears they also have a function room on a lower level. The TVs, while smallish and very high up, seem to offer a view of whatever game is on, at least from the seats in the middle of the large dining room. (I can't speak to the view from the bar or booths.) If I was going out to watch a game, though, I'd find a bar with larger televisions. As it was, I was there for something else so being able to surreptitiously watch the game while apparently engaged in conversation was a benny. Go, Bruins! The food is just okay. Just "American" grub, although everything seems to have a twist. An awkward twist. I've heard that people like the sandwiches but everything I've had seems to be weird: oversized and overpriced and a little bit off. My wedge salad had (old mushy) diced tomatoes on it. The only reason you'd use diced tomatoes on a salad is if you use the same tomatoes for everything else. Anything that calls for tomatoes gets the diced tomatoes. Diced onions, too? It's like no one at Fours has ever had a wedge salad. It was also twice the size of any restaurant wedge salad I've ever seen. There was no "wedge;" it was half a head of lettuce. It's fine, I suppose, but in order to offer such gargantuan portions, they up the price. I've never paid $14 for a wedge salad before, even at high-end restaurants. (For example, the last restaurant wedge I had was at Del Frisco's steak house: $12.) Fours also inexplicably plates it with balsamic drizzle. Huh? I love balsamic but it doesn't go on a wedge. The servers are always good and hardworking -- no complaints at all with the servers in the dining room or the bartenders. They've always been attentive to re-fills and bussing the table and friendly. If I could, I'd bump it a star for them, but ... The older blond lady at the hostess stand is another story. The idea of hostessing is to welcome people and seat them. To pretend like you're overwhelmingly busy (when there are three of you and I can see that the dining room is 2/3rds empty), or that there are corporate rules about who can sit where that would prevent you from seating me while I'm waiting for the rest of my party when I've sat with the same party in the same place many weeks in a row, well, it's ridiculous. Just welcome me and offer me a seat. If you accomplish that, I'll be happy. Instead....

Deborah A.

Yelp
We have always had a great meal there for both lunch and dinner !! They were very accommodating to children when we brought them too.

Henry S.

Yelp
I have been coming here for a long time now and it has great food good veiws and it is like you are in the city it is super pretty in Christmas time . The waiters are super nice and don't go during sports games . 5/5

Specter E.

Yelp
FOOD SERVICE ATMOSPHERE need I say more , well seasoned workers and last decades , unfortunate closing of Garden 4s but real estate greed...

Kathy T.

Yelp
I usually love the food and service here but sitting at the bar and over hearing a waitress say its "black history month I should wear black face to celebrate" is beyond unacceptable. I've lost my appetite

Chan K.

Yelp
Great food and service. The outdoor seating is great for kids. The Bobby Orr sandwich was phenomenal

Bashar A.

Yelp
Waited for 15 minutes for a service after being seated in a table and no one even acknowledged us . Finally I left and no one noticed . This place used to offer better service and experience . Now it a different case . Not going there again

Tori L.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good night out this is the place. Bar staff is super attentive and friendly. Wade, Laurie and Bill are awesome! Food is great no matter what you order. If you're reading this review trying to choose somewhere to go for a bite and some drinks, stop scrolling. This is the place.

Robert S.

Yelp
If you like paying $15 for 3 buffalo wings (3 drums -3wings) they taste great just too much???

Lisa M.

Yelp
Second time having dinner at The Fours. The buffalo wings were excellent with just enough heat. The cheeseburger with Fries and Baked Beans were very good. Great service!

Toni-ann M.

Yelp
I have been frequenting all 3 Fours restaurants (North Station, Norwell, and Quincy) for years. I love the food, and the prices are great. Recently my sister and I went to the Quincy restaurant for lunch. While sitting there my sister noticed a mouse running across the restaurant floor. We told the waitress who told the manager. He came out to where my sister pointed to, and he looked around. He said that he saw nothing, but about 15 minutes after he came out the mouse came out again. What bothered me most was the nonchalant attitude of the manager and staff about the situation. It leads me to believe that this was not the first sighting of mice. I will not be going there again.

Patrick J.

Yelp
I was a little disappointed in this place. I ordered my meal to go, but the inside of the restaurant was pretty great. It was basically a tribute to the history of sports in Boston. It would have been great to eat inside to spend more time looking at all the cool sporty items they had on the walls. Staff was also nice and gave us some history on the restaurant as well as the area. The food is where much of my dismay fell. The burger I had was a little too rare on the inside and just lacked flavor in my opinion. The bottom of the burger was really soggy making the meal less enjoyable. I also ordered the fried calamari and it seemed like we received more fried peppers than we did actual fried calamari. This would be a good place to grab a quick bite with friends, but I think there is probably better bar food one can get from another place nearby.

Jessy F.

Yelp
My favor local spot in Quincy! Buffalo chicken tenders are my favorite! Highly recommended

Angela L.

Yelp
The ambience and vibe is really nice. I give that a 5/5. The food on the other hand, was not. My bf ordered the steak tips with cheese on a sandwich roll and it did not have any flavor. It tasted like a slice of American cheese microwaved with cold beef. The burger I ordered was dry. Everything about the from the bun to the patty. The only saving grace we're the Buffalo chicken nachos. That was probably the only decent part of the meal. The drinks were pretty good too. And our server was really nice. Come for drinks, apps, and vibes only.

Irina V.

Yelp
The waiter was seemed irritated and rushed us with orders all the time. Tacos had old bad tomatoes that had a really bad smell. She took it off the bill, so thank you for that because we asked her to take it back right the way. The only nice thing about this place are the fire heats.

Tripa S.

Yelp
Awsome burgers and the chili is also great never fail! Service is good the staff is friendly omar is a great guy
