The Fox Harlem

I've been here atleast five times. The staff here has always made me feel welcome. I have to call out James! He is the best, and actually every staff member I've met here are so nice and friendly. Thank you James, what a great place and bartenders. I will be back. This is a great place in West Harlem!!!!

Got the nachos with chicken and all the flavors of wings (mango chili was so fire). Food and service were pretty solid, ambiance was pretty classic for a sports bar

Tonight heading out to the iconic Apollo Theater we stopped for a bite to eat. The Fox Harlem has good solid bar food. The butterfly shrimp and the angus burger were both cooked well and delicious. Unfortunately that was the best of the night. The coffee after dinner was old and burnt. I am a coffee lover and will forgive a lot but not that. As for dessert, you’re better off flagging a Mr. Softee truck because they only have one dessert and they were out of it. You could do better than The Fox - but you could do worse

I was referred to this restaurant by a sister restaurant lido, lido is so exceptional so I knew the fox would be amazing. But unfortunately it wasn’t very good at all. I felt the service was very slow in general, but my biggest craving was steak and eggs. The potato’s … perfect. Eggs good. But the steak. I asked for medium rare. I wanted that bad boy bleeding. But I was served a well done steak that was definitely cooked in an air fryer and not a grill. So disappointed. That’s all I can say,

Food here isn't good at all. Not a place you come and eat. Now come here to get some drinks? Yea. That makes more sense. I got the salmon burger and it WASN'T a salmon filet. It was like a salmon croquette. It had some breading mixed with salmon bits. Super oily and greasy. Horrible sandwich. Sent that back and got nachos. They were pedestrian at best. The value proposition wasnt good at $25 for chorizo nachos that skomped on chorizo and guac. Now the service? The bartender there, he was AMAZING. Great service and super gracious. I felt like royalty. He's literally the only reason I'd come back and ONLY come back for drinks. No food whatsoever.

3pm Happy Hour! It's early, and that's cool, but nothing to write home about. 'Hot' wings had no heat. Mozzarella sticks were standard freezer-to-fryer fare, but came out hot and crunchy. Went at 3pm and found staff friendly, but inattentive. $25 for 4 wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, and a beer. Content Hour, at best.

Casual, sport bar at this intersection in Harlem. Many photos of sport personal on the wall of this bar with black and white stripes. Not pricey, I went during happy hour. The staff are friendly and service was excellent. Plenty of seating including patio. Stop by if you are walking by, highly recommend

Went here randomly after work on a Saturday evening. Clean with a nice vibe. Food was fresh and tasty. Prices on the drinks are a little above average, but they are amazing and certainly worth the extra bucks. Plenty of TVs broadcasting live sports and the bartenders are all extremely accommodating and attentive. Will be back!

Such a huge fan of The Fox! The service is impeccable, the food is delicious, the drinks are amazing and well priced. Brunch is really great, especially with bottomless brunch punch, and Happy Hour is super fun. They are so kind and considerate with my toddler, and are always happy to see us. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a review for a Friday afterwork. I decided to try this place because I hadn't tried it yet and they had happy hour. I arrived first and sat at the bar. James, the bartender was nice and knowledgeable. I ordered a happy hour mule, but something seemed off with the drink. I asked him what type of ginger beer was in the mule? It was fever tree, which is one that I drink regularly. I asked to see the well vodka and was informed it was new, and i was like I never saw that brand before. I tried a rum and coke next, and that didn't taste much better. I decided to leave the happy hour mixed drinks alone and get a glass of wine. You can't go wrong with wine. I ordered the Montepulciano, and it was delicious. My friends and I moved to one of the high-top tables towards the back of the restaurant. We decided to try some of the happy hour bites. The beef sliders were good, I didn't really enjoy the loaded tater tots or the truffle fries. I would go back to the venue and try some other food options. It is a great venue to watch sports.

Cool interior (and exterior - love the mural!) friendly staff, and overall welcoming neighborhood vibe. Our fries tasted like the oil was a little old, but that didn't spoil a great afternoon.

We had a good time at the Fox restaurant. It's a male host and staff unil later. I like that the bare very attentive to your needs while sitting in their establishment. Music good, service great and food needs a little seasoning but good. We will definitely be back. The atmosphere is good. Happy Hour is ok... needs more flavors for the margarita's. Happy hour wings are fresh, fries a little greasy but that's what you need when you drink.....Overall, The Foxwill have me foxtrottin again and again.

My friend was visiting out of the country and only had one day left before she went back - a freaking rainy Sunday. She really wanted to do brunch with me, and hash browns, which I learned are a super American thing. The Fox had been on my list, and I could have SWORN one of their online menus had hash browns, so we trudged over there and opted to sit outside, covered by the awnings in a strategic spot where the rain couldn't touch us no matter what. THEN discovered the brunch menu did not have hash browns. That's fine. They DID have home fries. I always forget that she's a vegetarian, but they had a vegetarian omelet for her, and I got the shrimp and chorizo omelet. At $16-$18, these are some expensive omelets. While good, was it $18 good? 1 star gets knocked for the exorbitant pricing. We also opted for the $20 bottomless brunch mimosa thing, though we each had to get it separately (you can't share; and while it's a GOOD price for bottomless, we wanted to recoup those damn omelet prices lol). The drinks were tasty though! Since it was a rainy, gloomy Saturday, there was no wait and plenty of seating, which we wanted, and staff was down to earth and attentive, especially with the bottomless drinks. It was a very cool vibe and since this place is in my neighborhood, I'll have to come back, especially to try the pigs n a blanket!

I often find myself looking for nice after work Harlem spots. One of my good friends suggested this sports bar so I decided to check it. I was pleasantly surprised.The Fox has a pleasant vibe and is very spacious with 8 large screen TV's broadcasting different sports networks.The young ladies who assisted me were very friendly and the music was on point.They just played one of my favorite Kanye West songs(I wonder) I came on a Friday about 6pm(happy hour 4-7)and really enjoyed the ambiance. I definitely will be returning and recommend Fox for a nice date, friends night out, or alone to just chill as I did.

The Fox is such a great place. Amazing bartenders, great food, and always a vibrant atmosphere. They also happen to have the best Vegan Chicken Wings ever. The owners are great people and they also own some other great neighborhood spots.

UberEats order: The food was terrible. Ordered the fried shrimp with fries, the fries were cooked to the point that they were hard and the shrimp almost burnt. The tartar sauce tasted fishy. Also ordered the mac n cheese that tasted like pork. Entire order inedible. I wouldn't recommend anyone order out from here.

Nice spot in Harlem for good food, friendly staff and good drinks. Food is very good and prices are fair for what you get. Good crowd and nice atmosphere.

I came here for happy hour which lasts until 7pm. On a Wednesday, it was pretty empty when we first arrived but there were a half dozen or so parties by the time we left. For happy hour, they have $10 cocktails and $8 well drinks, as well as beer, wine, and food specials. I got a moscow mule. It wasn't served in the typical copper mug. It wasn't too sweet which I appreciated but could've used a bit more ginger beer. To eat I had the mozzarella sticks which arrived piping hot. They were nice and crispy with very stringy cheese. My friend got the vegetarian chili. It was a large portion size and she enjoyed it. Our server was kind enough to ask if we wanted to put in another order before happy hour ended. Overall, a nice neighborhood spot for a casual meal.

This is my favorite sports bar in Harlem! Multiple TVs showing multiple games so everyone is happy! I've come multiple times but this time I remembered to take pictures! All the employees are friendly and very helpful with offering food/drink recommendations...and if you get a chance to meet Mark (the owner) tell him I said hello! I love the ambiance and decor as a compliment to the black/white striped walls are pictures of recognizable athletes of all sports so make sure to walk around and check them out! Came with a friend this time to watch the Cowboys vs Giants game tonight (#TeamCowboys) and we started with mozzarella sticks and the fried shrimp with fries that we shared. Nicely fried hard like I like and different dipping sauces for everything. My friend ordered the steak tacos and since her plate was empty I will go with she enjoyed. I tried the shrimp tacos (no guacamole) for the first time and I absolutely would order again. Tacos come with a spicy verde sauce that pairs really well with the tacos; however, if spicy is not your thing make sure to ask for a side of pico de gallo that is a great addition as well.

Cool low key hangout spot in Harlem with a fair amount of outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating and TV's if you're into watching sports. They have lots of sports pictures on the wall and a food all table in the back. I love the energy here! I came on a Sunday evening it was a good vibrant crowd and 2000's hip hop playing. Music was kind of loud, but I could still hear my friend speak. The service here was quick and friendly. I ordered the Vegetarian Chili which came with Mushroom, Eggplant, Onions, Cannellini and Garbanzo Beans, Tomato, Ancho Chili Pepper, Cumin, and Cinnamon. It was a large portion and tasty especially for a carnivore. The dish came with nacho chips a decoration. All and all a solid experience and I'd come back again.

Nice clean space but horrible service and tasteless food! Kept waving for the host! While 5 sat n chatted!

Our server Hawa was amazing. She was attentive and made sure we had what we needed before we asked. I highly recommend Fox for dinner. And ask for Hawa. She made our dining experience number one! Five stars for The Fox.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at The Fox. We sat outside in the sunshine in a cool weekday morning. Our server Meghan was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We ordered off the regular menu rather than the bfast special menu. We had the chicken mushroom burger with cheese but add lettuce and tomato. The side of mixed greens comes already dressed which typically ruins them but at The Fox they were dressed perfectly. The Turkey chili is delicious (though kidney beans in place of the cannelloni beans mentioned in the menu and there was a bit of sour cream added which is not listed in the menu). All in all a fabulous meal!!

Another wonderful addition to Harlem's restaurant row aka Frederick Douglas Blvd Each of Serena Bass' restaurants are wonderful in the menu (food and drinks) as well as ambience and atmosphere which is carefully cultivated and The Fox is no different- this type the wonderful food and drinks create a nice chill sports bar feel - but one you could bring the whole family to! * Highly recommend the vegetarian chili w tumeric rice + Cavatappi and Cauliflower Gratin - YUM!! + blissful cocktails made w care (and fresh mint!)

We love taking our 3 yo grandchildren out for lunch and finding "kid friendly" menus and venues isn't always easy. Grandpa was thrilled that this place is not only kid friendly, but also sports addict friendly ‍ I liked that the food was quite good, the menu diverse and the service was warm, attentive and not at all "judgmental" as some places are... We quickly made it one of our favs ...

Cool sports bar with more then 4 tvs and they play football games every Sunday ... the food was ok and kinda pricey but atmosphere was amazing

Killer burger that hit the spot after a long day walking through Central Park and Columbia University. The staff and patrons were all friendly! Very low key and welcoming atmosphere. Will go back for sure!

Great local sports bar & restaurant. Same owners as Lido & Bixi. They & all the staff @ the Fox are *very* nice. Also accommodating for families with young children. Good bar food. Able to handle large crowds (like World Cup) & keep everyone's drink filled.Easy to cash out -- no wait. Bathrooms clean at all times, a miracle in New York.

Love The Fox!! Super stylish sports bar. Staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. The food is delish, esp the mozzarella sticks!! There are some great vegetarian options too. I recommend going here to catch a game or just to hang out and meet up with friends!

I was staying in Harlem for work and The Fox was up the block. I watched several baseball playoff games there rooting for my out of town team (Phillies). The bartenders were welcoming and friendly, and the food and beer were outstanding! Over the course of 3 visits, I had the wings and the burger. Delicious!

Absolutely amazing. Burger was cooked to perfection. Drinks came out quick and very flavorful. Servers were very friendly and overall fun time.

Great brunch and a good kids menu, coffee was okay, but I didn't come for the coffee. Service was great and friendly and just a general good place.

Ambiance wasn't the best if you sit outside the music is low. The service is a bit slow. The food is tasty for a quick sit and eat. Overall a decent place. And if you order bottomless mimosas they do take a while.

Service was not good. We sat for a while before someone took our drink orders - and it was not crowded. We were about to get up and leave until someone finally came over. For food we ordered the chicken nachos which were tasty. Very pricey for the area and vibe.

My fiancé and I came for happy hour and stayed for hours! The pigs in a blanket and chicken mushroom burger were out of this world- only to be topped by the service of our waitress Sadie (if her manager sees this she deserves a promotion!)- who was the most positive, friendly, welcoming server (and we eat out a lot). We will definitely come back for Sadie (and the food!). Thank you The Fox!

Had the disgusting frozen Burger. First time served a burger made from frozen patties at a restaurant. Poor grade 'beef' with thick liquid that appears after frozen burger meat is thawed, which soaked the bun. Literally worst burger I ever had. Only thing good about the mean was the toasted top bun. Not sure if the bottom bun was toasted, since it was soaked in the mystery goo coming oozing from the burger.

Really good, and they let me have my dog in the outdoor seating! They even brought her water! We had the chicken and mushroom burger, nachos, and the pulled pork! Very professional and good vibes. I even ran into an old friend that I hadn't seen for 15 years!

Indoor and outdoor seating. Great food menu. And any game possibly on will be playing. This is a neighborhood gem!

We stopped in for a quick dinner on our way home from a long evening of errands. I'm not sure what (if anything) we were expecting. Atmosphere was casual and chill but we felt super welcomed and comfortable immediately. I kept my order simple - burger and fries. Should have been no big deal - but it was. One of the most delicious burgers I've ever had in my life. A quick dinner, no expectations and BAM. One of the best burgers OF MY LIFE. can't wait to go back.

Took 15 min to even have someone come up to us. Host told a waiter, he was too busy changing the channel (dude that looks like Freddie Gibbs) but finally came up to us only to say "I'm gonna drop this drink off outside and be right back okay?". Of he stayed outside for about 10 min, a girl waiter came up to us (probably the youngest one here) and took our order. Took another 15 min to get our drinks. Freddie Gibbs came back to ask us to ask what we'd like to order but it was too late. I was really excited about this place but service like this for a place that isn't that big at all to have delays like this just for ONE DRINK! (edited my review from 1 to 2 stars because our waitress was nice.)

The sports bar to rival all sports bars!! This place is awesome. Great food, drinks, vibes! Bring the kids and play with the games outside.

Cute place to pop in for drinks and snacks. Friendly service , their pulled pork sandwich, and pigs in a blanket very fresh and delicious . The bathrooms are super clean , which we appreciated.

Came here with the wife to share some drinks and have some alone time ;). Best time of our day, well, second best if you know what I mean... Love it here, food is great and would never forget the night I shared here with my love. Highly suggest to bring the ladies here, you'll have so much fun.

Food is decent, bar is good looking with a nice vibe, but the service is dire. It doesn't matter if you are the only customer in there or the place is full, the staff are ridiculously inattentive. You will wait forever to have your order taken and to pay. The staff are very nice but just don't pay attention to their customers!! I still visit all the time because it's local, but I hope the owner sees this and steps up the service as it's really pulling the place down IMO.

This place is really cute and easily deserves a 3.5 for it's atmosphere, friendly staff, and the care put into the establishment. The drinks are strong, moderately priced, and decently made. I'm not sure that their music is in line with the aforementioned , but i hope they will get a feel for the neighborhood and their regulars' and adjust accordingly. Sitting at the bar with my mister gave us a really great experience to look around and feel out the spot. I want to say more good things about the Fox, but, unfortunately the food for munching while drinking is forgettable, and, and wasn't enough of a selection to really comment about. Seasoning could help? The sliders were juicy and filling, but out of 4 different menu items, this was the only one that stood out enough to mention. The others were all what they said they were, and represented their title well, but you get what you get , and you don't get upset.

its a nice place to sit out and have drinks. but I will not count on the food. we ordered the sliders, terrible pieces of frozen meat, for all what we know almost felt microwaved.... the vegetarian chili looked interesting and was such a colorful dish, but alas tasteless, it should be removed from the menu. finall, I thought we can get a good fish and chips from a British chef, don't count on it, it's oily and soggy. so go for drinks, but again don't count on the food until they get better at it.

Great to have a sports bar in the neighborhood that doesn't just have bar food. Great atmosphere. Plenty of screens for your favorite sports. Friendly staff. I found the food over salted and too much added sugar in things that don't need it but there are things on the menu that are very tasty. It also is reasonably priced. The music is hit or miss. Overall, I like this bar and look forward to it growing and evolving
