Excellent living history museum with authentic restored buildings from the region, 1800's to early 1900's. Folk artists demonstrate crafts, music, etc. Classes available.
The walking trail for the museum is only a half mile, well groomed, but it is quite hilly. We were glad we brought our walking sticks. Picnic tables, rest rooms available by the visitors center (Mercantile). There are also picnic tables and a picnic pavilion on the grounds.Friendly helpful staff.
Allow at least 1-2 hours for visit. Last entry is at 3 pm. We got there 11 am and didn't leave until 3 pm. It's not too far from Clayton, Georgia.
