This place is so good, I forgot it was vegan!
You heard me right - the cakes, cookies, and ice creams look so good, you would think it's any regular bakery. But it's not!
Me and my wife are not vegan but were looking for a cafe to sit and munch on stuff for a minute. We had a lemon blueberry cupcake as well as an oatmeal cookie sandwich, which ran us ~$9. It wasn't until we were halfway through both things that I saw a sign stating everything in here was vegan! That fact made things extra impressive for me.
I have a nut allergy so for me, my instinct is vegan = cashews. This bakery takes that into consideration in all that they do and makes sure to keep most things nut free. Despite that, you wouldn't miss the eggs or milk in anything. The cupcake was moist, lemony, and full of blueberries, and the oatmeal cookie sandwich -- ohhhh man, I don't know how they did it but it had such good chew and texture.
The baker in-house was named Donna, and she was great with explaining how they went about being careful with their ingredients, and even gave us a sample of their upside-down pineapple cake ice "cream" - texture was on point, and I was shocked that they could get those flavors using lentils (yes, lentils) and coconut milk. I could taste the pineapples and cherries, and it even had some kind of cookies mixed in! Just fantastic service all around.
If you're thinking of visiting a bakery, definitely consider it. It's objectively delicious and I think it's worth the try for their innovation alone!
