The Frances Gelato and Bakery

Highly recommend!! My husband brought us over for Gelato but as soon as I saw their croissants, I had to get one. So delicious and flaky, I loved it!! I think my only downside was how hot it was inside, we sat down to enjoy our treats but we got sweaty very quickly. I know they make everything right there, my suggestion is to put fans for the customers who want to sit and enjoy.

The Frances Gelato and Bakery is amazing! They make their own ice cream, and you can really taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The flavors are delicious and unique, and the desserts look just as good as they taste. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting perfect for enjoying a treat with friends or family. Definitely a place worth visiting!

So I’ve seen this place driving by and I live super close so I had mentioned to my dad and boyfriend that I wanted to try it. My dad went before me 😭 and he came back and said it was amazing, that the croquettas were amazing so naturely, I had to go the next day. I loveeeee the food and omg the avocado toast and the croissants ! 10/10 recommend. If you come here, try the pistachio croissant.

This gelato shop is a must-visit! The flavors are rich, creamy, and authentic — you can really taste the quality ingredients. The pistachio and coconut were standouts, but every flavor we tried was excellent. The staff is friendly and happy to offer samples, A perfect spot to enjoy a sweet treat after a walk. The most important part this is a family own business with people from the neighborhood. The perfect spot on 8th street. Highly recommend!

This has been the best anything I've had in a while, the food and service are unmatched. You can tell the passion this business has for their food and customers. The croquetas had a nice crust and a very smooth and creamy filling. The gelato had no hint of any artificial flavoring, only high quality ingredients as did the rest of the food. The French buñuelos (or buñuelos Frances) were amazing, not overly sweet but enough to kill a sweet tooth. A great bonus is that the employees speak both English and Spanish so you're less likely to run into a language barrier. I love trying new places and this is definitely one I would recommend. If I could give 10 stars I would, I can't wait to come back!

Finally got to stop by and check it out. We got the coconut, pistachio, passion fruit and cherry gelato. AMAZING! Definitely going back to try the croissants and pastries!

A highly comfortable spot, incredibly calming. Parking may be a tad limited, but it's definitely worth it.

Much needed gelato and upscale bakery in the neighborhood. Went tonight had Dubai chocolate gelato and husband had regular chocolate, both very good. Can’t wait to go for breakfast, which they also serve. Many Spanish dishes. 😋 Very clean, lady was extremely nice and place is beautiful!!

Delicious, properly crusty croissants, yummy European style sandwiches and a friendly staff. We've been in twice in the past month and expect to add it to our "rotation".

We were recommended by a friend to try their croissants! I went with my hubby and daughter. First of all the owner is a fabulous person! Very kind and knowledgeable explaining about how she started her business. She is also the cook and her husband makes the gelato. We had lunch and our sandwiches were so fresh and delicious. I had the tuna salad on a baguette and my hubby had the turkey. My daughter had the ham and cheese croissant and all three were a hit!!! I had a guava juice which was very good also. We took home some croissants... 1 Dulce leche & 1 the other a rocher chocolate that was excellent! Didn't get to try their gelato but we will definitely be back to try it. The place is so cute and decorated very tasteful! They also do catering. Loved this place!!!

If I could give this wonderful cafe 10 stars, I WOULD!! I was referred here by the gas station attendant. I came, I saw, I ate and definitely will be coming again. As soon as you walk onto the pavement you already feel welcomed. The building is a bright white, the friendly staff welcome you with a smile and the place smells just as you would expect a cafe to smell like, DELICIOUSNESS IN THE AIR. I had the bistec sandwich and it totally surpassed my expectations. If you're a bistec conosiouer, look no further because a bit of heaven just dropped off at our footsteps. Next I had these tiny little donut balls filled with delicious cream and boy oh boy they hit the spot and are sold 4 per order and one order was the perfect amount. Lastly, I finished it all off with a cortadito with a Biscotti cookie, the perfect finishing touch to eat with my cortadito... Oh and I almost forgot the sandwich is enough for two people, cut in half and the prices are unbelievably reasonable especially in this economy that we're in! Thank you Frances for a great experience.

A little gem we tried today . All ice creams are made in house from scratch. Great selection and taste. Cakes on display looked very nice but we did t try them. Good family owned and ran business. Will definitely come back.

I ordered from them now. My order was all messed up. My sandwiches were drenched in mustard and made the bread all soggy. Out of 11 things I ordered I only received 8 and 2 of them was not even on my order. Usually I get calls from the business to ask if I would like a replacement. I was so excited but not one thing tasted good. Even the cortadito was awful. How can you mess that up? Lol Definitely upset with how much I spent and how awful everything was.

I asked for a custom cake and they exceeded my expectations! My son was so happy with his Roblox cake and cupcakes! This is the spot for the best ice cream! My go to flavor is a mix of strawberry cheesecake and Ferrer Rocher ice cream, on a 12 oz cup which comes with 3 scoops of whatever flavor you like. If you don't want a cup they also have waffle cones and waffle cups. Not only do they have ice cream they also have a bakery with pastries, churros, crepes, hot sandwiches, breakfast, and more. They also do extravagant cakes! The servers are always so welcoming and helpful with anything you need. And when it comes to prices, nobody can beat their prices!

This place is a gem in Hialeah. Let me be the first to welcome you. I walked in here and was greeted with such pleasant customer service. It's a family- owned and operated business and all members of the family were welcoming and friendly. The decor is super nice and pleasing to the eyes - especially to one coming into a bakery/gelato store. So let's get to the important stuff, the desserts. I tried 3 flavors of gelato - the coconut, the lemon, and the strawberry cheesecake. My mouth is watering just writing about it. All three flavors were delicious and made my taste buds leap for joy. My favorite, I would say was between the coconut and lemon. I also tried the flan. Yummy, yum yum! I am definitely coming back here again and it's so close to me. How can I not? I truly hope this business takes off for their excellent customer service and exquisite food. Can't wait to try their other items.

Best gelato I have tried ever, the place looks really nice, and a really good costumer service from the staff. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very friendly workers. They had no problem making our special request. They serve great traditional Cuban breakfast. Will come back again! I'd take a picture of my food but I already ate it! So good!

The absolute nicest staff!!! Have the best flavors and everything is always so yummy! Totally recommend.
