Ось переклад англійською: ⸻ It was our first time visiting New York, and the very first thing we did was come to this restaurant — and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was excellent. Every dish and breakfast we had was outstanding. Thanks to this restaurant, our first impression of New York was amazing. Thank you!

This is a beautiful place to go on a date with your partner. The hostess are really sweet and cooperative and hold knowledge of the menu. I was suggested to buy the in house lemonades, tried the watermenlon lemonade with mint. Its a super refreshing drink with in house watermelon extract lemonade and Mint leaves. Also had fries which are homemade style with no preservatives/frozen contents.

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is beautiful and the service is fantastic! Definitely a 10/10 I would highly recommend. I’ve ate here several times and the food has never disappointed.

Came here for birthday brunch. Everything was mid to meh. Donuts were good but chicken nugget from kids menu was gross like Macdonalds. You child tell it was frozen. And fries were nasty too. Hueavo ranchero had no sauce. Literally fired tortillas with eggs over and two three slice of avocado. Home fries were tasteful but oily as hell. Wanted to try local. Not coming back anytime soon. Staff were ok

Google
I am not sure about the good reviews on this place. First of all asked for lactose free milk and they only had almond available (this is quite poor variety as there are so many allergies these days, there should be more choices). This meant I couldn't order a coffee... Anyway I went ahead and ordered banana and chocolate pancakes. The waiter brought me strawberry and berries pancakes which I obviously hadn't ordered, he stated no bananas available, shouldn't have you told me prior to see if I wanted strawberries? (I hate strawberries but didn't wanna be rude and still took and tried the plate leaving strawberries on a side). The pancakes were just awful, tasted as if you had put them in a microwave, thick and oily, so ate 1 and tried the others to see if any good on the corners. Left 2/3 of it and told the waiter I was not happy as they were not good. His response was "OK"... And he still added a tip on top of the bill (not even had the option to choose). It's jokes. Avoid this place, pancakes not fresh at all, precooked and warmed up, disgusting. The passivity of the waiter was the worst bit... Couldn't be any more careless. You really need a client service course to do this job... $13.28 thrown to the bin.

This place is nice and cozy. The food is prepared well. But it is crazy expensive in my opinion. The waiter is attentive. You get to bring your own wine. It was not crowded at all for a Sunday night.

We came on a weekday for breakfast. We got the braised rib breakfast burrito and the chilaquiles verdes. The chilaquiles alone were enough to make us go a second time during our trip. The only downside was the service. The first time we went, we were the only people there and the server was sitting down on his phone the whole time. He never really came to check up on us. The second time we went it was on a Saturday so it was a lot busier.

Google
I've been here twice this week and I can not say enough good words about it. I had the chicken and waffles and the donuts with Nutella. They were empty most of the time when they should be full all day every day. It's really a gem of a restaurant. Give it a try. ASAP.

Yelp
Hungry Vegetarian Approves! I came here for brunch with friends on a Saturday afternoon. Findings: I got huevos rancheros and my friends got the chilaquiles - all of our dishes were very good Good coffee Service is cordial and attentive It is a neighborhood restaurant and lots of couples and families Place is spacious and nicely spaced

Yelp
TLDR: cute little brunch spot that is BYOB. Great atmosphere, great service and AMAZING carnitas. Their carnitas panini is a MUST get. Came here with friends for brunch on a Saturday and it was very busy. They have a brunch specific menu and a more generic lunch menu, all I can say is that I ordered the carnitas panini from the brunch menu and it was AMAZING. It has been a while since I have been "wowed" by a sandwich and their carnitas panini did just that. Carnitas were nice and juicy, a bit of the oiliness was soaked up by the crispy sourdough. I cherished every bite and I woke up the next morning craving more.

Yelp
Wonderful BYOB Italian spot off the beaten path in the heights of Jersey City. The restaurant itself is smaller with only about 15 tables, but that made for a cozy more intimate feel. As a larger group, we ordered a few appetizers before our mains. The Calamari was a standout, with good spice. Across the board everyone was also happy and complementary about their entrees. The only dark spot was the half chicken being a little dry/overcooked. Worth the trek out of downtown for this spot.

Yelp
Our cousin stays across the street from this restaurant and told us we should try their brunch, and I'm glad we did. They have a huge brunch menu. Very reasonable prices. $13-18 ish. Everything's made fresh and you can taste the freshness. Great portion size, great staff as well. The ambiance was very homey. We came here on a Saturday around 2pm and it was still packed. Great place for a weekend brunch!

Yelp
What could be done to improve this horrible spot would be being more refined in how you handle food. One of my guests got food poisoning from the mushroom salmon risotto. This is incredibly unacceptable and I would advise anyone to stay away from this place given that experience and being witness to that experience. That's all.

Yelp
Unfortunately I was a bit let down with this restaurant. It has a really cute vibe and the service was lovely. However, the food left something to be desired. My friend recommended this place since she lives in the neighborhood and we wanted some Italian food for dinner. My friend had the ravioli, but it had a very chewy / doughy texture. The filling was delicious though, so I am sure the braised shortrib on its own is good. I had the Franklin risotto. It had some diced veggies in it as well as chorizo. I liked the saltiness of the chorizo and the flavor of the risotto. Unfortunately my scallops were very overdone and chewy so not ideal. I know they are difficult to cook but I would think a nice spot like this would be able to handle it. I heard that this place is known for brunch, so maybe that would be better.

Yelp
Food was just ok. Hangar steak was covered in a salty sauce but the potatoes were very good. Companions enjoyed seafood dishes. Cozy ambiance and service was fine. BYOB which was not a huge issue in that there was a liquor store with wine nearby.

Yelp
We've been making effort to try the local restaurants in the neighborhood. This past Thursday seemed like a good time to try the Franklin for dinner. We ordered a Caesar salad, the truffle potato balls, hanger steak with mashed potatoes, chipotle shrimp pasta, and the chicken Parm. The truffle potato balls were exactly how they sound. Truffle mashed potato rolled into a ball and deep fried. They were served on top of a toast with a guacamole type spread and a salad. I found this dish to be a little bit odd. I wasn't sure why the potato balls were served on an avocado toast. The Caesar salad was just OK. I thought the chipotle shrimp pasta was really tasty. They had made it less spicy for my mom, but it was still delicious and the shrimp were plump. I actually really enjoyed my hanger steak. I thought the mashed potatoes were delicious, simple and seasoned well. I ate half and kept half for lunch the next day, it heated very well. The entrées were for sure better than the appetizers. It also looks like they're most known for their brunch menu, so we'll be coming back on a weekend.

Yelp
It's Monday night. Your folks are in town and your squeeze suggests Italian. Holy shit. Anthony, the one man chef holds down a 4 top with 11 different plates over the course of 2 hours. Octopus. Cacio de Pepe. Antipasto. Rigatoni. Roast chicken. Pretentious fuckers like myself usually are hesitant when non Italians make Italian food, but this dude knows exactly what he's doing. The server was warm and kind and wonderfully polite. Definitely doing back.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is good, it's my go to place when I don't want to cook or fancy something different. I have my favorite dishes there as well. Prices are fine and service is great, fast and cordial always.

Yelp
We went for Sunday brunch make note-Make reservations & BYOB! We made reservations for 2pm and shown up early. They could not seat us, bc they were busy and some tables hung around after finishing their meals. It's a small corner resturant (maybe 16 tables) with additional outside seating. It was too cold to sit outside so we waited for our inside table (also note: not a lot of standing room to wait inside -better to wait outside). Once we were seated service was quick and responsive. It's BYoB and they provided Champaign chiller & oj for our Prosecco. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Food portions are on the smaller side for Jersey City. Women were full & men wanted more but no complaints on taste or presentation. I would recommend coming to the Franklin but just be sure to make an rsvp & not be in a rush in case they are busy. We also had the donuts which are just ok, but the toppings(caramel and Nutella) were tasty.

Yelp
Dined 07/10/2023 MO @ 5:15pm): The restaurant could've easily been named "The New York" instead of "The Franklin" based upon its intersection location! I had The Franklin on my bookmark list ever since my friend moved into the neighborhood a couple of years ago, so today just happened to be that perfect time to give them a try! We've passed by this place numerous times while we walked the lil' black beast, and it always looked so charming, like a café on a narrow French street while people sat at the surrounding tables. Now that we've made it here, how frank would we be on whether or not it was worth the wait!? PURCHASE Truffle Fries ($7.00): This was a plentiful portion of crispy spud sticks with a ton of truffle taste and a side of ketchup - nice start! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=68-hWdf6baEY3BZQzm7zUQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($12.00): Another plentiful portion of bite-size somewhat tangy sprouts that seriously could've been a meal on its own! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=GUReS2tbb8JWM8IDssGpTA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Mediterranean Salad ($15.00): A refreshing mix of greens and veggies with a light citrus vinaigrette, all it needed was some kalamata olives! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=dnh6hdcQeZAYPEmeJzKRQw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Grilled Hanger Steak ($28.00): Juicy, succulent, and tender sliced meat along with potatoes and broccoli, I'd hang around this place or another serving! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=NHD07p42gAAn-JiEedky9g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Braised Short Ribs ($30.00): Flavorful fingers of tender rib meat along slim asparagus and buttery mashed potatoes, I wanted to savor this dish as long as possible! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=iH8DSkWN-iEhIRBcA-gR-g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Homemade Lemonade ($5.00): This truly quenched the thirst with a slight tart to it! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=iF3yXY5vTncQ1f45l0DO8g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Bread Pudding ($8.00): A hefty yet satisfying dessert drizzled with a caramel maple sauce! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=7TgrwytTlPVPpLevJmlBDw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Olive Oil Cake ($9.00): A spongy surprise with fluffy whipped cream that left a smile on my face! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=lWuKUAS84zpsbfWcrPIuLw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE Immediately greeted by a friendly young hostess, we opted for an outdoor table since we had our furry family member, and it was such a beautiful day. She immediately gave us menus, brought out water https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=VXQZ_rZ6swkgQ1LlUakIiA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw and gave us time as we settled in. She also advised that they were a BYOB no corkage fee establishment, so we went to a nearby wine shop and brought a bottle https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=tJmrls1LLcKVBpZ9acgyEA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw for our meal. Once we ordered, each dish came out perfectly timed so we were overcrowded. She periodically checked on us and cleared away any empties. She was amazing the entire time - thank you! PARKING (Street Only; N/A this instance) We walked from my friend's relatively nearby place. Otherwise, as was the case for much of The Jersey Heights neighborhood, there were limited spots along the main drag of New York Ave. and all surrounding streets unless you were lucky enough to find an empty spot, or you took public transportation which stopped nearby - nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE An inviting corner location with vivid blue paint, we never made it past the sidewalk into the restaurant, so frankly I had no idea how it was there. Otherwise, there were plenty of covered tables outside as you watched the world go by. As you'd imagine, there was plenty of natural lighting since we were outdoors while minimal electric and street lights filled in the rest. I had no idea whether or not they had TVs or any background music, but we had clamoring street noise. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=G66Xk75NKoGgt-s9KJ8obA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I loved The Franklin and couldn't wait to visit my friend so we could eat here again. Their breakfast menu looked amazing, and everything we had was top-notch. Thankfully, they allowed our furry family member outside (he loved to be with his hoomans!). The menus (especially the breakfast) looked wonderful and were extensive enough. I felt the prices were reasonable, the portions large, and the service impeccable. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $125.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Yelp
Holy moly this breakfast wrap was huge. Each half was literally enough for a whole meal, and was overstuffed with eggs, cheese, potato and sauteed onions and peppers. They have a ton of standing lunch and brunch options, plus lots of daily specials. The brunch fair is pretty classic, but the lunch and dinner fare has an Italian twist and you can find lots of pastas on the menu. The interior is super cute and cozy. You can tell this is a neighborhood staple for those who live nearby. They are also BYOB which is always a win. Service was speedy and friendly. At lunch time on a weekday it was pretty quiet and most tables were empty. I'd definitely return for a quality meal in the JC Heights!
google avatar

Elena R.

Yelp
Great spot for brunch! It is a little small so I'd recommend making a reservation if it's busy but they were very accommodating for a party of 5. Reasonable prices and lots of coffee options too!
google avatar

Katarina L.

Yelp
Take out, brunch, dinner, birthday celebrations... I've had it all and they've never ever disappointed. I love love love this little neighborhood gem. The inside is cute and perfect for everything from a special dinner date to a casual lunch with friends. They are BYOB so remember your champagne or wine! Some favorites that I've tried were the burger and the burrata pesto chicken sandwich. Both incredible, both had burrata... I wonder if there is a pattern there? Some appetizers that stood out were the octopus, grilled to perfection and the calamari. Couldn't get enough of either. The staff are always kind and friendly and even when its a packed house, never rush you. I definitely recommend making reservations if it's a weekend (brunch, lunch or dinner) because they can fill up. Can't wait to come back and try more and more and more.

Yelp
Visit The Franklin for brunch with my family while in town. It was very easy to find but street parking we had to drive around a bit to find a spot. No big deal. We went on a Friday around 11am and it wasn't busy at all. It is a small restaurant so I can imagine it would have a wait on a Saturday or Sunday. I ordered a caramel latte which was really good and presentation was everything. I tried the French toast and it was good but I wasn't a fan of the crust. I also had an order of the brunch potatoes which was my favorite part of the meal. Definitely recommend. The waitress was nice but she did forget a few things that we ordered. She was more than helpful with getting those items to us quickly. I would definitely recommend this place for a cute brunch but not for a large party as the place is very small.

Susan S.

Yelp
First time there today for brunch. The ambiance is good and appearance clean, although I did not visit the restroom. The server was very sweet, but obviously had no experience waiting tables. She spent too much time with her back to the guests talking to the person in the kitchen - had to ask for more coffee (which is good) - wasn't offered water until she served the check. It was just the two of us but she mixed up the dishes we ordered. The restaurant offers five versions of eggs benedict - which is what drew me in the first place, but the poached eggs were undercooked (runny whites), the English muffins barely toasted and the smoked salmon was cold. Eggs cool quickly enough without being put on top of cold smoked salmon. I was overall quite underwhelmed, but I believe it deserves a second chance and will go back, hoping for a better experience next time.
google avatar

Yelp
This hidden gem is great for brunch with your friends! It's BYOB and the price is perfect for what you get. They always accommodate my friends with large party. Not to mention the burrata burger is so good.

Yelp
Stopped in for a birthday meal here during restaurant week! I've had the Franklin on my list to check out and it didn't disappoint. For the appetizer, the meatballs & calamari were super good and I thought the portion on it too was impressive. For the entree I got the gnocchi & my partner got the steak with broccoli rabe & potatoes. Both of our entrees tasted really really good too. And the deserts were awesome! Service was great too; super attentive. We also loved the semi-open kitchen! Only thing is we wish we brought something to drink since it's BYOB! Other than that, such a solid spot and so glad I finally checked it out!

Yelp
3.5*s We stopped into The Franklin for dinner the other night. The restaurant was homey and casual, but much smaller than I had expected, though we were able to get a last minute table on a Saturday evening. Our service was fine - friendly and fast, but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant was BYO, but we had already come from a bar, so we were fine sticking with water. I ordered the Seafood Fra Diablo, while my companion opted for the Braised Short Ribs. My pasta was in a robust, well-seasoned marinara sauce and included fresh scallops, shrimp, and salmon. The dish was very enjoyable, but certainly not spicy, like it should have been. The short ribs had received a similarly positive review, however, we also both found our portions way too small for their $30 costs. In fact, we finished our meals in less than 10 minutes...Because of the lack of value, we would probably be hesitant to return, even though we enjoyed the food.

Yelp
Good neighborhood spot. Nothing fancy and BYOB. Service is good, food is good, prices are reasonable. Nothing to brag about but certainly nothing to shy away from.

Yelp
We ordered delivery from here. The menu has several options for brunch and lunch. I had high hopes for the avocado toast, but was a bit disappointed. The egg was supposed to be poached but it was overcooked and practically boiled. They give you an option of wheat or sourdough toast. I should've gone with the sourdough because the wheat had ground nuts in it and the texture and flavor didn't work well with the dish. The mashed avocado was good, but overall, the toast was dry and bland. Definitely would've been better with a sauce of some kind. My boyfriend ordered the short rib sandwich and enjoyed it. The fries that came with both entrees were amazing and really hit the spot. We also got the ricotta pancakes and they were pretty good, but we were too full to finish them. For dessert, we had the dulche de leche doughnuts. These are probably better fresh. After a long delivery wait, they were no longer crispy. The inside of the doughnuts was very cakey when I was expecting it to be fried. The caramel sauce was very thick, but not overly sweet. Overall, I'd recommend this place. It's reasonably priced compared to other brunch spots in the area.

David N.

Yelp
I ordered on Uber eats and they canceled my order. No problem if you're busy cause it is lunchtime, but then don't accept orders during this time on Uber Eats.

M T.

Yelp
Food was delicious. We had an interesting group... came in with two toddlers and two babies and they were very gracious with our chaos. Our kids devoured their fries (the adults were big fans too). Avocado toast was delicious. So glad we stumbled upon this place. Will definitely return if we're in the neighborhood again.

Yelp
Good food and ambience, met with the family over the holidays for brunch it was a party of eight .

Yelp
Third time I have been here - first time to review. Great place in Jersey City heights. Excellent location, great staff, outstanding food. Also byob a plus. Will be back again soon.

Danny L.

Yelp
The place is nice I like it also really amazing for first dates I haven't been one yet but still amazing place and the staff is nice and the design is nice the food tho is good the burgers are awesome and the chicken sandwiches are great but the best thing about this place about there chicken vodka sandwich it's amazing try it anyway they have a another restaurant called LA milpa try it it's good.

Marco S.

Yelp
Excellent. Everything was superb. Apps. Pasta. Chicken parm. Desserts. Loved the menu and everything was excellent. Great service. We will definitely be back. Recommended.

Yelp
Phenomenal restaurant! I went for a birthday dinner with friends and was very impressed with the food. Also, the restaurant is BYOB and the food is very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the meat & cheese board for an appetizer. I got the rack of lamb dinner special which I enjoyed, and a bunch of my friends got the steaks. Definitely plan to come back!

Yelp
Dinner for Day 2 of our weekend getaway led us to The Franklin. This cute eatery served up really good food with friendly service and a warm atmosphere. For starters, we shared the burrata with cherries which was tasty but a balsamic glaze would've kicked it up a notch. A red-based sauce would've married the truffle potato balls much more than the starchy avocado toast it was paired with. However, my short ribs and hubby's salmon were both hits and cooked perfectly. His was paired with a cauliflower puree which IMO should replace the mashed potatoes that accompanied my ribs. We ended with a decadent bread pudding and cappuccino. Overall, we had a great experience and this family run establishment deserves all of our support. The next time we're in JC, I'll be sure to visit and try one of the many pasta offerings. Go, you won't be disappointed. Btw, they're BYOB!
google avatar

Yelp
We went to The Franklin for brunch everything was delicious! We all ordered a bunch of food and shared which is a good idea so everyone can try out different foods from the menu! Service was up to par! Ambiance was a great setting! Dessert was my favorite! Good company and overall great place to make memories!

Yelp
Great Breakfast restaurant. Stopped in with family of 5 while staying in the neighborhood. Great food - we ordered the French toast, the chicken and waffles and the ranchos huevos, all were very good, and servings were plenty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Perfect for a family looking for an upscale breakfast in lieu of a diner or lunch counter breakfast. Upscale, but won't break the bank. We spent $20/pp + tip.

Yelp
Usually ordering steaks and short ribs for take out is a bad idea but I was really craving steak and didn't want to go to a restaurant. I was super impressed with the quality of the food and how warm and delicious it still was when it arrived. The meats were tender and well seasoned and sauced. The potatoes and veggies were also really good. I also wanted to try their homemade donuts which look like little chicken nuggets. The donuts were good, not the best donuts. The dulce de leche was amazing but the donut itself was too crunchy for my liking. Overall great place, I want to come back and dine and try other menu items.

Ron M.

Yelp
Small place in local neighborhood. Great old style atmosphere. Food was really good. Huevos Rancheros was was really good. Service was lousy . Only two other people at another table in the whole place. Took forever to get our order. Server was too busy texting on his phone . Asked for water twice. Ordered coffee and didn't get it til I got my order. Asked for ketchup twice. Finally had to get up a ask again. Very poor service. Gave 20% tip. Which he did not deserve paid bill and left. Never will be back.

Yelp
Ok! So NOT to be confused with "Franklin Social" as this is an entirely different place (I was confused myself for a sec) - this place has AMAZING food! I just ordered the crab cake sandwich for lunch and it was BOMB! They even gave me their delicious asparagus on the side which I had asked for. During COVID I tried their scallop risotto, scallop dish, shrimp risotto - all SO SO amazing and worth the price! They seriously helped me get through COVID. Thank you!

Yelp
I have never written a review before. I typically don't like going out to eat because it's never as good as you think. this was the best brunch I've ever had and so well priced. everything was so fresh and delicious. I felt amazing after as it was so healthy. I so happy I found this place!

Kate M.

Yelp
I love the Franklin. It's a wonderful neighborhood spot with a rotating specials menu and pleasant staff. I've had stuff from the dinner menu and the brunch and I've never had a bad experience. It's also BYOB what's not to love. I see people here complaining about the weirdest things. CC' fees (which are mandatory by state and every restaurant has them) and servers who give you an answer to an issue and you just tell them they are wrong and proceed to leave? Sounds childish to me. Remember to be kind to your servers. They are just trying to make a living too. And remember that things are out of their control sometimes. If you go to any sit restaurant and don't pay in cash they are going to charge you a CC fee welcome to our economy! Don't always assume someone is out to get you and if that extra few dollars upsets you just stay home

Yelp
Went for bunch. We know this area has started coming up with these little cozy, jazzy, open kitchen area spots. We like supporting local businesses as much as possible and also they have pancakes for brunch. Seating area is nice, with a good layout and pretty decoration. Seats around 30-40 people. We ordered the ricotta pancakes and french toast, side of bacon and fries, plus a bottle of bubbly water. We did not wait long and the food were all well presented. The pancakes and french toast were underwhelming, a bit bland for our tastes, not memorable. The fries and bacon were made well. Service was good. They were attentive and accommodating. We will come back for dinner service hoping it would not be as underwhelming as brunch.

Yelp
I'd give this place two stars - solely because the food was definitely edible (way too much seasoning) and we got a free order of Nutella zeppolis for spending a certain amount. My biggest gripe is with their portions.. especially for the price! I don't mind spending a pretty penny when it comes to food, but it damn better be worth it. My dish was $24 (pre tax) and literally gave less food than precooked meal server (think Freshly) at $9.99 a meal. I thought maybe it's pricey because it's the papardelle and lamb, but there were maybe 3, 4 chunks of lamb in the dish? I've added a picture of my partners (who got the same thing) container next to their iPhone 12 as a reference for the size. And yes, of course they ate entire thing.. it'll only took 'em three forkfuls! I wanted to like this place, especially since it's one of the few Italian places on UberEats in my area, but I'd rather forego my Italian craving than spend an arm and leg on a glorified TV dinner.

Yelp
Wow why it take us so long to find this local restaurant. Ordered Uber Eats and my take away is quality over quantity. Definitely expected a larger order but the flavor was exceptional. We ordered braised short ribs ravioli and OMG the glaze it is sitting over flavor and the rib was so good and so soft melted in my mouth..flavor and texture. Small order but had my own homemade sides of zucchini and eggplants which i mixed in with extra glaze. And had some bread at home to literally scraped in the leftover sauce glaze. Also ordered Hanger steak did come with a side of broccoli and Tuscan potatoes which flavors of all was amazing as well!! Definitely ordering again with an understanding to order sides for more filling sized meal. So understanding that portion size is small for the price you paying for $20+ meal.

Yelp
The ambiance here is very chill. It's BYOB. We tried the cacio é pepe, the parpadelle, the truffle potato balls and the brownie & ice cream. Every dish was full of flavor and made with love. I can't wait to come back to and try other items on the menu. Service was good too!

Yelp
Overall: Moderate prices with great value (pastas loaded with meat/seafood) and BYOB - worth a try! Generally no need for a reservation on a weekend night. Location: Inside is a bit dark and stuffy, so we opt to sit outside. The street is moderately busy, so you'll have the soothing sound of running engines in the background. All tables have some sort of covering (umbrella or gazebo), so you'll be fine regardless of weather. Lamb sugo pappardelle - Ton of lamb added to the point that I wished there was a little more pasta. The pappardelle was very thin (slightly more than pappardelle normally is). The Brussels sprouts were chopped up so small that they are almost lost. If you are super hungry, you'll need a starter with this one. Cavatelli carbonara - Impressed with the amount of crab added. Was able to get some with every bite. A bit heavier, but that's expected with a carbonara. I'd recommend splitting this with another pasta when ordering. The Franklin Risotto - Much lighter than a typical risotto. Nice amount of scallops and chorizo. Avocado isn't super necessary, but doesn't ruin the dish. Would definitely order again.

Yelp
The food here is great, but don't bother ordering in through grubhub. The idiot delivery guy picked up the wrong bag and we didn't realize it until he was gone. We called the restaurant to ask them to resend and were told "no problem, we'll tell the kitchen to rush it and redeliver." Great! I called twenty minutes later and the guy said our food was about to leave the restaurant. We received nothing so I called back and was told that they had been waiting for the delivery guy to return. Are you missing me??? What happened to what I'd been told before? Jersey City is up and coming, but with service like this, it will always be second-rate.

Yelp
They charged a surcharge of extra cents on my items ordered and said it's because the company they use charges a fee for card use. The restaurant is legally supposed to cover that fee and if it doesn't state it transparently on the menu or before purchase you're not supposed to be charged that fee. You pay for 15$ if you see 15$ on the menu, not 15.60$. They then said if you pay in cash they give you more money back and charge you the non-surcharge amount, which makes no sense, expecting a restaurant to give you the correct amount bc you paid with cash and not card. Especially since I paid debit and federally you can't be surcharged on things that aren't credit. It's only an extra 5$ on the total bill but it totals out for everyone's bill that eats there.

Yelp
We went to the Franklin for dinner and they knocked it out of the park. The ambiance is great, the food even better, and the service out of this world. Jimmy, our waiter, was super attentive and so kind. My boyfriend and I split the crispy Brussels sprouts, spicy chicken parmigiana, and the warm goat cheese salad. Everything was delicious, but the chicken parmigiana was the star of the show. We kept saying to each other how that was one of the best chicken parms we've had. The side of homemade bucatini was so flavorful and the perfect amount of spicy. We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to trying out the brunch in the very near future.

Yelp
Very disappointed by portions I'm delivery. I have had this dish in the restaurant and portion was large enough for me to bring left overs home. My delivery came in a small dish 4x6 container not filled to the top but just covering the bottom. $22 bucks later and knowing pasta is cheap. I won't order from here again.

Yelp
Yummy brunch! Would like to go back soon. Loved the mushroom omelet so much. The goat cheese complimented the flavors of the fresh tomatoes so well. I'm so excited to try the ricotta pancakes next! Our waiter was very knowledgeable, attentive & professional. Nice little seating area outside, dogs were welcomed to sit with us which is always great! Food also came out pretty quickly & you can tell how fresh the ingredients are, so glad we found this gem!

Yelp
The Franklin is so discretely located you wouldn't find it if you weren't looking. Luckily I found it and it was awesome. The smoked salmon eggs benedict was a unique take on the classic. They have different egg benedicts here and all looked good. The truffle fries are so delicious. They make the fries fresh and are addicting to eat. Love the vibe in here. It is laid back and food hits the mark. 4 stars.
