The 15 Best Bread Bakeries in Paris | Eater

"With six locations across Paris and a name that’s fun to say, the French Bastards’ bakeries could get by on novelty alone. Thankfully that’s not the case. Breads incorporate ingredients like honey with figs, hazelnuts, plentiful seeds, rye flour, and more. Take a hearty loaf to go, and eat a caramel eclair on the way home." - Dayna Evans

A very nice and fresh bakery with a wide variety of baked goods. I really loved the vibes, the cozy atmosphere, and the overall welcoming feel of the place. My only suggestion would be to enhance the quality of the coffee they serve, which would make the experience even more perfect

I had breakfast here every day for a week. Everything is amazing, from bagels to croissants, sandwiches, pastries… really top notch. It’s a great “to go” place since they have one or two tables only. Highly recommend the focaccia sandwich! Also, coffee is good but not amazing (if you’re from the US, it’s amazing then).

I had such a great experience at The French Bastards! The service was fantastic--everyone was super friendly and even helped me decide what to get. I went with the Pain Suisse, and wow... it was incredible. The chocolate and crème filling was rich and delicious, and the bread itself was perfectly soft and fresh. The bakery was busy, but there were plenty of spots to sit both inside and outside, making it a great place to enjoy your treat right away. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Paris.

Definitely worth the hype! I got the cookie roll which was very good, the burrata sandwich (which was definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had - the bread was top notch and ingredients were very high quality). The pain suisse was one well made pastry and the flan was creamy- made with vanilla beans. The service was great too- Alice was very lovely and attentive.

I really wanted to try this place and I’m happy I found it just after a nice lunch not far away. I tried the “Cookie Roll” which was a circular croissant stuffed with chocolate-chip cookie dough, chocolate chips and Nutella. It was sweet, delicious, and made for an excellent dessert/snack on my flight back home. Only downside would be the price, but I managed to have it over the course of two days.

Non traditional French bakery, offering an extensive selection of bagel sandwiches, sweet treats, baked treats. I tried the pistachio swirl, it was excellent and delicious, and the coffee was excellent. Will return to try the other pastries. Very limited seating area.

Very well known & famous French bakery for good reason! Located in the most beautiful industrial space flooded with natural light & neon signs, a large display case awaits of the most delicious baked goods await. The line was long but moved along quick! Their oat milk latte was great & my friend got a chocolate croissant which she claimed after an enter week in Paris - this was the BEST she had.

Tried many croissants in Paris, this was my favorite! Utterly buttery and soft inside but crunchy outside. Even received a free chocolate swirl, super friendly staff!
