Google
EXCELLENT!! The layout and friendliness at these stores are a step above. I love going here to pick things up.

Dr. Rosie Ann Riley

Google
Very friendly staff and the store is very neat and clean. I stopped to see if they carried a specific baking powder. An employee and I looked but couldn’t find any baking powder on shelves. Not sure if they carried any or was just out. I highly recommend visiting this location!

John Dolan

Google
Great customer service throughout the store, especially by the manager, Grant, and a terrific floor clerk, Tee. Produce, groceries, baked goods, dairy, and meat are always fresh and plentiful. Parking is safe, access is easy, store is convenient, 10/10.

Google
I really love the fresh market items, and the turkey 🥓 at the meat counter is the best. I love the various breads and scones they have. I just wish they were not so expensive. I will be returning, also the workers are very friendly and helpful.

Google
Fresh Market is expensive. You can get anything cheaper at Kroger down the street off of Union. Overall great spot for some healthy food. They have a lot of cheeses and the bakery is cool. The staff is nice enough. They have a security guard who keeps an eye around the parking lot.

Jared Dorminey

Google
Premium prices, limited selection, and bad deli service. Asked lady behind counter to cut a pound of smoked turkey she said “ I just cut some and put it down there, sir.” When I looked, there were three packets of a~ 1/4 lb, one with an expiration date in 2 days, the other 2 with an expiration date next day. Obviously, she didn’t cut it right then, just didn’t wanna be bothered with a customer. not worth paying extra for bad service.

Google
Whole foods is a bit far, so I have started visiting this grocery store. Upscale, hip grocery store, an expensive too. I love the quality of fresh produce. I stop by to buy meat or fresh seafood. The bakery section is mind blowing, so as the cheese and wine. I love roaming around the spices aisle. They have so much different options in gourmet spices from around the world. The deli and the meal section is good as well. They have many varieties of meal. I stop by to grab some dinner or salad for next day lunch. Check out their apps for sale. I am in love with this grocery store.

Google
This Fresh Market is so CLEAN and ORGANIZED!! I love it! Felicia was checking us out, and she was very kind 😊 Even complimented my pants! Sweet lady. She was ready to take a customer, standing at the end of her register. Incredible! We got sushi and a Ceaser salad!

Yelp
I love the location and service is top tier. They are always clean and I managed a major retailer for years so I know off of scent alone, they are on point. They have prices that are a steal compared to most grocers especially in their fresh service areas. They always have plenty of registers open as well. The parking is a crapshoot, but it's the ppl driving who are at fault. IYKYK. Employees are always willing to help and not begrudgingly so. The only complaint is the inconsistency on the availability of certain products, but I'm not sure that is the store's fault and I know the business. Much preferred shopping destination for grocery and niche items. as well.

Mark D.

Yelp
Their sushi is trash, even worse than Kroger's. My fault I guess. It might look alright but don't get it..... The service is alright tho, friendly and outgoing employees. Just horrible, horrible sushi. I didn't think it'd be restaurant quality, but I expected at least to be able to stomach it. Nope; threw the tray away after two pieces. Truly terrible stuff; wouldn't feed it to a dog

Caroline A.

Yelp
Overall, I really enjoy the food at Fresh Market, plus the customer service is pleasant. The cold smoked salmon is the Best... Tonight, I purchased smoked salmon salad from the Union Ave. store, and it is absolutely Awful. The only thing you can taste is Salt. Smoked salmon has enough salt in it, but, according to the ingredients on the package, additional salt is added... there is no other flavor, just briny salt.... I am hoping that someone reads this review, and changes the recipe on this dish...

Yelp
Thank you so very for the samples of the sweet strawberry tart I like it but we went with sweet lemon and key lime tart there's so many yummy selections the ambiance so very inviting clean service was very nice the cashier and the baker lady in the back to the produce men stocking food with a warm and welcoming feeling for helping my mother-in-law in all of her needs and wants

Yelp
Fresh Market on Union Avenue is one of the best grocery stores in town under the watchful eye of store manager, David Nestler. I became a regular shopper during the pandemic and have continued shipping there ever since. Customer service at most local grocery stores is atrocious these days but not at Fresh Marker. F.M. has managed to avoid the self-checkout lines altogether and has employed plenty of friendly and professional cashiers that keep even long lines of customers moving quickly. David will jump in if extra cashiers are needed. He keeps things running very smoothly! I was especially impressed with the store during last month's winter storm. While most grocery stores parking lots were slippery and dangerous, F.M. was quick to scrape off the ice and salt the parking lot. The store was well stocked with a small but efficient staff who helped keep the store open through that week of bad weather. Anyone who has had problems with the midtown Kroger should drive east on Union and do your shopping at Fresh Market. I highly recommend them!

Zachary R.

Yelp
I have always enjoyed the East Memphis and Germantown Fresh Market. I must always hit this one at a bad time because there's always a line. Fresh Market is seemingly a premium grocery store, but the front end service is terrible. I hate to see a long line being funneled to one poor cashier while 2-3 other Fresh Market employees are standing around talking about their nails or weekend plans. I usually walk into Whole Foods to get a quick meal or something. I do not understand why I have such poor luck with this location. I cannot possibly believe they try to be so terrible. I just want to buy fresh food that does not look like a hospital cafeteria.

Yelp
I frequently shop at the Union location in Midtown, and whether early or late, I always have a good experience! Tonight, I went in to exchange some items that were purchased in error through a third party shopping service. While this could've been really complicated, it went very smoothly! Thanks to Hannah, I able to exchange for the correct items in no time! I'm always keeping this store as my top choice. From the fresh food selection, the Blueberry Syrup that I can ONLY FIND at FM, and the consistent helpful and friendly customer service, I'm definitely a secured shopper! Thanks again!

Yelp
I love going to the Fresh Market specifically for their Sushi. It is always prepared freshly and ready to order. I like browsing about the store to grab new items or other good healthy items. The store is always neat and clean. You can find what you need easily. The parking is great. I never have a problem there. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The prices are a little steep, but all in all it's a great store in the city!

Yelp
We try to buy everything organic and gluten-free. We also look for foods that have very few ingredients and that each ingredient is something I know and can pronounce. When traveling it's hard to find stores that can meet all those expectations. However, we found the fresh market while at the beach and it was great. They had great items that kept us going during our vacation. The place was bright and clean. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. This is way better than Whole Foods.
google avatar

Yelp
Produce and prepared foods are top notch quality. Prices are comparable to slightly more expensive than nearby competitors like Krogers but is more convenient than Whole Foods. Great selection of local beers and often times good sales on kombucha. Cute selection of flowers and other misc things for the home, household cleaners, etc. there is usually a line for checkout but this location is less chaotic than Krogers and service is always friendly and professional.

Yelp
I typically visit the White Station location however today I stopped here after picking up juices nearby. I love that the store opens earlier as it allows me to grab needed items before work. There is ample parking which is great. Due to early arrival staff were sticking but this didn't create any issues with navigating the store. I was able to choose from fresh produce and a turkey club prepared as I shopped. Prices are reasonable. Checkout was a breeze.

Yelp
Glad I didn't just let my experience "go". After calling corporate office I received a phone call from Elise the Regional Manager. She listened and made me feel heard and respected. It was an unfortunate incident but hopefully my speaking up will make the next encounter this asst manager has with a customer a lot less confrontational and confusing. Still a great place to shop and excellent leadership shown by Elise.

Yelp
I spent nearly $400.00 on my last Fresh Market trip as I was getting prepared for a diet/lifestyle change and needed to make some purchases to make the transition a bit easier. It is very expensive to shop here and it would be worth it if they lived up to their name. I keep having the same experiences with this store but continue to shop there purely out of convenience. I will be shopping there no longer. In the .5 pound bag of Swiss cheese I got freshly sliced from the deli was a hair smooshed between two pieces of cheese. A hair that definitely did not belong to me. Also, I keep finding black dirt/spots on sliced deli items. On top of that, I almost choked on a small, clear, rubbery/plastic tube found in one of my $20.00 ribeye steaks. The internet says it could be a remnants of a tool used to pump nearly expired steaks full of carbon monoxide so that the meat appears to be a fresh red color. Seems unpalatably plausible. And every week, without fail, I manage to accidentally purchase expired items that are STILL on the shelves because no one is taking the time to remove them. Shame on me, I guess. Anyway, needless to say - the hair and the plastic tube completely ruined my appetite and all of my "fresh" deli, butcher, and produce groceries went to waste. Couldn't bring myself to eat it. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. Especially since discovering your score from the health department. Whew Kroger does better than this for half the price. And Whole Foods is king. Sprouts is pretty good, too. In conclusion - Fresh Market could be so great, but you guys keep missing the mark. I can't keep throwing my money away like this just because I don't want to drive the extra 10 mins to Whole Foods or battle the chaos at Kroger.

Yelp
A little expensive, especially the fresh mushroom, even compared to Whole Foods. Employees are super friendly and extremely helpful, and I can always count on something pre-prepared that I can take home and simply though in the oven or a pan to cook up when I'm in a big hurry.
google avatar

Yelp
do instacarts around that city, just delivering groceries. I've shopped at every store. But for some reason here they make you bag your own items. And the young lady refused to help and got smart with me.Customer service clearly not up to par with her employer. Not to mention there was no one in line behind me. Had ample amount of time to simply assist. Then had to nerve to tell me I was lying when I told her, I never bagged my own items at their location before. Just disappointed. *didn't get her name, but she wears the black Air Force ones.

Yelp
I love that there is a Fresh Market in midtown so I don't have to go all the way out to the Whole Foods on Poplar. Although prices may be a bit higher, the entire store is arranged in a much more logical way than Whole Foods is. I also like that this Fresh Market has a body care section (soaps, toothpaste, etc.) unlike the one out on S White Station. There may be a limited selection of items, but the quality is great. The produce is always fresh. They stock all the dairy brands I typically buy. Oh, and they have decent sales on random items every so often. Especially Jeni's ice cream!!!! Also, their chocolate/candy section is huge. I really like that they have local and unique items, whether pasta, jam, tea, cookies/crackers, everything. It makes grocery shopping here so fun. I haven't eaten from their prepared foods section yet, but I've gotten a few things from their salad bar. Not amazing, but it works for quick on-the-go needs. Fresh Market is now my go-to grocery here in Memphis, and I don't have any good complaints about doing my shopping here.

Yelp
The managers of this store, Mr. David and Mr. Emanuel are as nice and friendly as you could ever ask for. They hosted our Daisy/Brownie Girl Scout Troop for a tour of the store. We stopped at all the major departments such as fresh produce, prepared foods, the bakery and the dairy aisle. Mr David explained that all of their Dairy is on display. Nothing is held back in inventory. Fresh fruit and vegetables arrive daily. Since their emphasis is on freshness they only offer a limited amount of canned and frozen goods. Wow! I was a fan of Easy Way before those stores closed, but I never realized that The Fresh Market could be my new source of fresh fruit and vegetables. I have had the wrong idea about Fresh Market. They are not just another grocery store, they are an exciting and excellent source for the freshest of ingredients and prepared food products. At the end of our Girl Scout trip to The Fresh Market each girl and leader received a special gift of a healthy snack, huge beautiful apple and a bottle of water as a suggestion for additions to our upcoming picnic adventure.

A A.

Yelp
Fresh Market? Not so sure about that. Hot dogs were 7 days past the sell by date. Cottage cheese was 4 days past the sell by date. Make sure to check the dates. You have to do that at all grocery stores. But, it would seem that the "Fresh Market" would be a given that it would be .... well.... FRESH. Nice people work there though.

Yelp
Finally making it to the new Fresh Market. It's perfect for women on the run and bachelors who want good, pre-prepared meals. I love the layout! Wide aisles, good atmosphere, fresh-looking produce, meats and poultry. I got lobster stuffed salmon my first trip. The deli section is awesome too! In addition to sandwich fixings, they have everything from twice baked stuffed potatoes to macaroni and cheese. They also have a solid healthy foods presence throughout the store. I highly recommend Fresh Market midtown. #Yelp901

Yelp
I'm really glad they are here. They are a welcome addition to the area. It's been hard to find somewhere to get some really good food/grocery/ingredients in Midtown for forever. With that being said, it is a good bit more expensive for just about everything. I enjoy the experience and the selection so I just suck it up and deal. You get what you pay for I suppose... The people are friendly and all of the fresh, well, everything is very nice. Great lighting by the way!

Yelp
I love the fresh market and the specials that they run but I must complain about the customer service from the meat department. The lack of care in wrapping the meat and the process in slamming your order on top of the meat case. Though the words are there such as "can I help the next customer and is there anything else you need?" The attitude is poor. I have seen this and experienced it multiple times and that is why I feel the need to post a review.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
I an currently waiting in a line that stretches to the back of the store. As high as the prices are at Fresh Market, the manager should pitch in if there aren't enough workers. Store is dirty, and many items on the shelf are past date. I won't be back.
google avatar

L. N. D.

Yelp
When a person thinks about Fresh Market, you associate quality, superior customer service and high prices but high prices are okay if you get superb customer service, right? ‍ Well after today's experience I'd rather shop at Kroger. At least with the bad customer service you get cheaper prices. It's funny how when a customer ask the staff/workers a question they look at you like their not at work. My cashier didn't even hand me my receipt, I had to grab it myself...I just paid dang near $4.00 for lettuce that I could have gotten cheaper at Kroger and you can't even properly had me my receipt. This was the reminder I needed why I DON'T shop here. Good Luck spending your hard earned money for crappy customer service.

Yelp
This location is small and prices can be steep, but I still find myself popping in here for random items I don't need: - Belvoir elderflower and rose lemonade - Side dishes from their deli bars and speciality cheeses for picnics - French vanilla cake from their bakery for rough days - Jeni's ice cream to accompany the cake - Greek pizzas to toss on the grill - Veggie sushi for lunch None of these are necessities, so I suppose I can't complain about the prices too much. I just know I wouldn't make this my one stop shop. Besides the prices, my one gripe is that the grab and go section is very hit or miss. I've visited more than a few times to find both the sides bar and the olive bar nearly empty. Also, the bars tend to be messy and I've only been lucky enough to have the convenience of lids actually being available once. Yes, that is correct. Every other time, I had to ask someone for a lid or grab one from the soup bar. Clearly none of this has stopped me from visiting... that cake is magical.

Yelp
I received an amazing text from my wife about this place opening today. Immediately we made it a date. This place is amazing. The floors were spotless, pet peeve of mine- The food was fresh, there were amazing items on the shelves and can we just have a moment of Silence for the Candy isle??' Cashiers were nice and as I left with a plethora of items in my bags?! I decided - I'm Hooked!!! Run Don't Walk!!!
google avatar

Charis R.

Yelp
We stopped here for a handful of items to snack on, in preparation for our drive the following morning. They had the basic items we needed like bread, yogurt, fruit, water, etc. For everyday shopping I would probably say the store has some limitations if you like variety to that of Whole Foods or larger health food stores, regardless it's nice having a store like this for basic organic and health food items and I appreciated being able to utilize them for a quick stop.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
Riddle: what does a broccoli salad, a bowl of mushroom soup, and a pizza have in common. Answer: they all taste the same when made by resh market. The mushroom soup was edible. After I added red wine, cumin, and .... I think you get the point. Its nothing short of a pretentious wal mart. There are a few excellent markets in midtown. No not krogers or the save a lot or whatever the pig became or even fresh market. But please by all rights enjoy premade tasteless food. I gave it a shot. It does not work for me.
google avatar

Tubby S.

Yelp
I really like going to this fresh market. However, some things at this location need to be changed. I went there and got a meal deal which is a great value. I also got 4 apples. The meal deal- a whole rotisserie chicken, 2 1 lb. sides and corn muffins was $14.99. The 4 apples were $12.96. I asked the girl if that was a mistake and she said no, they were big apples. I had her take them off my bill. Then I went to Sprouts and got 4 apples of the same variety, same size, and they were $1.95.

Bobby B.

Yelp
Midtown location used to be quite good. Sadly has deteriorated lately. Last two times there service was discourteous, and even rude. I'm not going to pay premium prices for substandard service. Contrary to Yelps' listing for me I live in Memphis, not San Francisco. Oh, well.
google avatar

Jenna C.

Yelp
The woman who works at the prepared foods counter is extremely rude! On more than one occasion she has acted as if she's doing me a favor by waiting on me. She is often cleaning and clearly doesn't like to wait on customers while doing so. On another note the cashiers are always friendly.

Yelp
The Fresh Market Whitestation is a great location. The staff there are friendly and courteous the food is great

Yelp
I admit it , I am not a Memphian and I am an organic and health food person who avoids "conventional" markets whenever possible. However , WFM is just not convenient from downtown /midtown for a small shopping list. The "fresh" market , on the outside at least , *seems* an alternative , however I find the items it does NOT carry make this place less convenient than most conventional markets. Alternative items such as tempeh, tofu and vegetarian items are woefully thin. I find that this store seems to claim and pretends to act like a healthy Alternative , but when almost 1/3 of the store is bulk candy And bulk flavored coffees you have to wonder. Deeper inspection of the shelves yield very limited options outside of basic standard fare. Selections are strange I wonder if their buyer has done any homework at all. Frozen , prepared and dairy )and non dairy) selections woefully thin and lack any variety I am not sure what this store wants to be when it grows up , but it has a long way to go to establish its own identity Right now it's just an overpriced shinier version of Kroger's but with the Kroger store down the block about to be rebuilt and get a corkys and Starbucks within it , this store better grow up and decide quickly or it will surely be in trouble

Luca D.

Yelp
I've tried Fresh market several times. Knowing it is over priced grocery store, I now only get emergency stuff and really in last case. I have had bad experiences there. Charged for product i did not purchased, buying moldy fruit and veggies and only noticing when getting home. Recently i got blueberry that was on sale for $3.99 and other items . When i got home I noticed i was charged $5.99. Didn't even bother going back as they are not friendly to anyone complaining about anything. I've giving up. The same items and brand product you get there. You can find at Krogers for much less. Example? Strawberry at fresh market was $6.99 and Krogers $3.99.
google avatar

Tod S.

Yelp
Like most fresh markets it's very expensive and the selection is mostly organic. Good place for certain items but not for your everyday shopping. Parking lot is a nightmare.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
I went to The Fresh Market for the first time last week. I decided to go there instead of Kroger, since the traffic is a mess due to construction. I went to only get a few items, and I was quite impressed with most of the things. It's such a different atmosphere than Kroger, Superlo, and Cash Saver. It feels earthy. The foods are fresh and in excellent quality, way better all of the grocery stores in Memphis. I love their deli and bakery and the cupcakes are bigger than average. The downside is that the items are expensive. If you think that you'll find better prices at The Fresh Market than Kroger, Superlo, or Cash Saver, you'll be sadly disappointed. For the most part, it's a good store. I will come back to The Fresh Market, but it will be once or twice a month.
google avatar

Frank C.

Yelp
I admit it. I'm not an organic food, healthy food type eater. This is Memphis, and like most Memphians I like barbecue, ribs, Aldo's pizza, Pirtle's fried chicken, and hot wings. BUT, when I want to look at healthy, beautiful foods... I come to this place and to Whole Foods on Poplar. I'm sure it's all in my head, but I feel healthier just being around and in places like this. The sushi is great. Deli foods look good, but I wish they had a larger place to sit down and eat the foods. There are two small tables near the entrance to the grocery store, but that's all. Prices and quality seem comparable to Whole Foods, but since it's a lot smaller in size the selections aren't as large. If I lived downtown or Midtown, and wanted organic foods, I would definitely come here. If I lived more in East Memphis, I would go to Whole Foods.
google avatar

Joelle P.

Yelp
I'm pretty loyal to Whole Foods but I was in midtown and didn't feel like driving all the way out East...which ultimately I ended up doing because this Fresh Market has absolutely HORRIBLE sides in their pre-made section. You see, I don't cook. And I was having friends over for dinner so naturally I had to swing by somewhere to pick up some stuff. I will say, Fresh Market had delicious $16 filets (they melted in my mouth....sooooooooooo good, and ok, they had to be grilled...I can do that at least), but walking over to their pre-made island I was so unimpressed. One of my guests eats paleo, which is fairly easy to shop for, but there was literally NO veggie dish without some sort of cheese in it. But even then none of the sides looked appetizing to me...all of it was just...bleh. Another thing that annoys me about this place is that is SO expensive. I know Whole Foods is expensive but I think this place is marked even higher. And I'm still mad I bought flowers here because I didn't know I was going to have to drive all the way to Whole Foods anyway (the selection is better there). I just think the store is too cramped with a small selection of pre-made food and really overpriced.
google avatar

S B.

Yelp
This place is so frustrating. Like many midtowners, I was so excited to have a healthier and more interesting place nearby to shop. I love Whole Foods, but it's far away and tough to get to after work. I have no complaints about the actual store, ie the quality or selection of the food. But the customer service here is maddening. You have to follow and chase employees down to get help finding something. Far too many times I've had to interrupt employees standing around having conversations to ask a question. Tonight I went looking for creme fraiche. Granted, that's not the most commonplace of items but then again, doesn't Fresh Market specialize in this kind of stuff? At least they market themselves that way. Two employees I asked behind the cheese counter appeared to not speak English (they never spoke to me), so they gestured at someone else to come help me. That person ignored them and went back to what he was doing, which meant I was standing there for a good five minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence before I finally gave up. One other employee I found had never heard of creme fraiche and had no idea what I was saying. Another customer intervened to help me try to explain it to her. Finally tracked down the manager, who was helpful, but told me they were out of stock. Oh well. The person at the register straight up plunked my meats and vegetables into the bag (I could care less about tossing cans/boxes around, but with expensive cuts of meat it's annoying.) I rarely write negative reviews after my first, or even second bad experience. But after the third time I tend to speak up. This store is way, WAY too expensive to employ folks who don't know their own products and have better things to do than help their customers.

Yelp
yeah, yeah it's a luxury grocery store. I want to share a good deal - $14.99 rotisserie chicken dinner with 2 large sides and half dozen corn muffins. When you need a quick pick-up lunch or dinner for your fam, this is the way to go. Oh, make sure you pick up some pillow cookies too - brownie one is my favorite but the almond is excellent too!

Yelp
Closest Fresh / Organic / Local 'whole foods' type of place near west memphis/midtown! i'm so glad this finally opened! yes, some of the prices are a big higher than usual, but you're paying for a. the convenience, and b. the quality of the product. they have an AMAZING ICE CREAM SELECTION!!!! they sell Jeni's and tons of other "hipster" ice creams that are DERICIOUS. so definitely go check out their ice cream selection! Things I Come for: ICE CREAM, quick organic produce, the breads, coffee, and those specialty items you may not be able to find elsewhere (like pom juice flavors). They do have specials every week so dont forget to check those out to save some monies! So glad this place opened up on Union. Definitely give it a visit!

Yelp
I just got a roasted chicken wrap that was full of gristle and chopped bone. Eyew! Not on my favorites list any longer. Called and was told they'd let someone know, then hung up. Maybe a refresher course on food prep and customer service is needed.

Yelp
If I had to sum up this place as a whole: "a gimmick." Let's be honest with ourselves. These places try and sell you as being a better quality product. Yes, Whole Foods I am looking at you too. When, I believe, they would *NOT* stand up to the Pepsi challenge. Your average person probably could not tell the difference between the meat, produce, nuts and sauces you can find at Kroger. Here is simple truth. The "$2.99" Tuesday is still a rip off in my opinion. Kroger and other supermarkets regularly carry chicken for $1.99 a pound every day the of week. You are paying an extra buck for something you really can't tell the difference on. The products are largely overpriced. The selection isn't something to brag about as well. If you really break it down, there isn't really a lot to choose from and the store is mostly produce and meat. I have tried both several times and I constantly find myself going back to other supermarkets, because there is no real difference. In fact, I would be willing to bet a lot of the same farmers and producers distribute to both places, but the price is just different. However, I am not going to totally rag on the store. I would give it a 4/5 when it comes to supermarket sushi. It is regularly fresh and the selection is nice. They also have really good frozen pizza you can not find at other stores. I haven't tried their sandwiches, but they look good too. Overall, you are paying for the store, not for the quality. If you really want a "fresh market" then try a farmer's market in town. You will enjoy it much more, pay the same or less and overall have a better product in your hands and kitchen.

Yelp
Thank goodness they're finally in Midtown. Best days to shop there are on Tuesdays and Saturdays when they have plenty of sales! Don't forget to get your free samples of coffee while you shop! Want a cheap snack... get the rib snack pack... it sorta filled me up!

Yelp
This is a Fresh Market. So, whatever feelings you have about this business will probably be reinforced by your experiences here. Prices are higher here than at other local chain grocery stores, and they stock a lot of prepared, packaged produce (which really annoys me for some reason ... have we really reached the point where people will pay $2 more to avoid peeling and chopping a carrot?) ... I digress. This location feels smaller than the one at Eastgate, but the parking lot is deceptively ample. On opening night, there were staffers crawling the floor stocking sections, though the few I talked to weren't super knowledgeable about the products despite being friendly enough. It was packed tonight with Midtowners who might otherwise drive to Whole Foods, and it'll be interesting to see if this trend continues over time. I didn't see a growler station or a BBQ stand, but otherwise it seems to have many departments similar to (if smaller than) those at Whole Foods.

Yelp
The Fresh Market beats all for gourmet to go. Between the deli and the hot food area, as well as the prepacked sushi, wrap sandwiches, soups, and salads all ready to eat, they cover all the bases. I like the salads and wraps as an alternative to fast food on those nights I've chauffeured the children from one activity to the next, and didn't plan for dinner. The grocery portion of the store has improved over the past few years, to include a good deal more organic produce (THANK YOU), dairy, and eggs. The frozen foods leave a lot to be desired, because the section is small, but then again, it is The Fresh market, not Frozen market. Prices on staple foods are competitive, but then you throw in a $5 loaf of fresh bread and $20 of kebabs to cook later in the week, plus those precious purple heirloom tomatoes, and you're $40 over budget in 5 minutes. Gourmet sodas, flavored waters, and an artisinal beer selection also help fill the cart. I am hooked on the cold-pressed juices and Hint waters. Don't forget the movies! Before you head to the movies, come check out the selection of snack foods, and grab as little or as much as you like of things like jelly beans, malted milk balls, smoked almonds, flash-fried veggie chips, and chocolate-covered espresso beans. The location is huge and parking is *just* enough when things get busy i.e. Christmastime. Also a reliably "pretty clean" public restroom!

Yelp
i've been a regular customer fresh market since I moved here six months ago, i'm very disappointed with the treatment and the responses that I got today from the employees there. When I arrived I saw three people put in baskets in the dumpster ,since I live on a limited income I have nothing to put my clothes in and I thought this would be perfect .so I tried to get them to let me have them and they said no go talk to the manager ,so that I did and I was told that they were garbage and cannot be given away. there was nothing wrong with them . they would rather trash good items away than let a disabled senior citizen have them. Very disappointed with Fresh Market.

Yelp
Bought some sushi from this Fresh Market and it was pretty good. I love coming to Fresh Market and just walking around and seeing what new things they have. I love trying out their coffee and getting a quick lunch.

Yelp
Fresh Market is a wonderful new addition to midtown. The store conveniently carries an array of items that are already prepared or already proportioned for easy prep at home. All items are incredibly fresh. They have good weekly sales on fish and meat that can help with budgeting. The layout of the store is wonderful. It is easy to navigate and the design is beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful at all times. To me the only downside of the store is the lack of local products. While the prices may be higher than Kroger it's nice not to have to deal with long lines, crowded isles and crowded parking lots.
