My boyfriend and I were visiting from Pittsburgh PA and stopped in. Zach the bartender is the absolute best, he is so kind and amazing at his job. The beers themselves were also delicious and the brewery was clean with a great environment.

🍺🎉💕The name 'The Friendly Fermentor' is an understatement! Sean, the owner, is extremely passionate about what he does as a brew master and shares that energy with anyone who visits his establishment. Great place to hangout, play games, drink delicious craft beer and have tasty food 🥨🍻🧩

Happened upon this place while exploring Harrisonburg. At first parking kind of confused us, but it looks like right now you can park across the street and there’s also a lot maybe a block away that’s easy to get to. Initially we thought we would grab a flight, a snack, then head to dinner. Then we tried the Italian pretzel and had to try even more. I cannot stress how amazing this pretzel was and everyone needs to try it. I’m also kicking myself for not leaving with some “Cream of the Crop” to take home. Everyone was so friendly, Shawn was a great host and even though he was alone made sure everyone had what they needed, prices were great for both beer and food, good selection of beers, small and intimate without feeling cramped. Will definitely be back our next time through.

We stopped by recently while driving through and were really glad we stopped! This is a VERY small brewery with a great selection of high quality craft brews. I tried their Carmel Butterscotch Brut Ale, which sounds very weird, but was actually amazing. Everything we tried was really good. The owner is incredibly welcoming and helpful in selecting beers. Don’t miss this place! They are dog friendly and have treats for the dogs.

Just passing through Harrisonburg, but have been following TFF on Facebook for a couple of months now. Walked in feeling a stranger, left feeling a valued guest. Relaxed atmosphere, great conversation, super friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Great beers for (almost) every palate. Definite recommendation. P.S.: Pub grub available. Try the Giant Pretzel!

From Pennsylvania, We were staying at Massanutten Resort for the weekend. I decided to try this place because I'm a sucker for breweries, lol. It did not disappoint, very neat place, very friendly staff, customers/locals. Small town feel. They even had a beer my wife enjoyed. She doesn't like beer in general. She had the C.B.N.S. "POG." I'm more into ipa, so the "it's a chillin" was my favorite.

Between having the best beer in town, and an atmosphere that will keep you coming back, Friendly Fermenter is definitely the place to be. Staff is exceptionally friendly (HA, get it?) And you'll have no problem finding something you like with their diverse and ever-changing menu.

Nanno brewery that is stupendous with its ale offerings. Pub style snacks (no frills) for sale with your beer of choice. Friendly service, nice attention to detail. Will be back again. Entrance way is NOT handicapped accessible.
