The Friendly Toast

Gluten-free options are available, but limited. I ordered a pancake, which was just okay—not bad, but nothing special. That said, the service and atmosphere were fantastic! I really appreciated that they welcomed our dog and let him dine with us. I just wish the food had lived up to the rest of the experience.

Got the Oreo Cookie Monster pancakes and a fruit bowl. Great atmosphere with outdoor seating!

First time at the Friendly Toast Service was good ... seated promptly at the bar as there were no tables available I ordered the chicken and waffles The waffles were really good... nice flavor and fluffy but lacked a crunch on the outside Chicken was dry and there was very little syrup on the plate Extra syrup was a charge Pickled onions were an odd touch but they actually added a nice contract to the sweetness I also ordered mocktail which was spectacular I believe it was the Herbal Spritz Overall it was a nice experience but next time I'd try a different dish

I was there two days ago, it was hot, the music was blaring, I could not hear anyone in my party. The waitperson asked one of the persons in our party if they were gluten free as a preference or if it was an allergy. So in front of a group of people this individual had to say yes it was an allergy, their stomach bleeds, kinda put someone on the spot there Friendly Toast, not cool. That said the food was super expensive as well as palatable.

We came here for the first time. I tried the vegan burger, and it wasn’t very good. It came with just a few waffle fries. I feel like there were only four of them 😄 We also tried the special cookies and cream cold brew, but that wasn’t great either.

Definitely has gone way downhill with opening more locations. Food is mediocre at best, home fries consistently served soft and luke warm, and last time we were there, my wife’s yogurt parfait was served frozen completely solid and inedible. Definitely won’t be going back

Super friendly staff food was so yummy!!! The white chocolate raspberry martini was to die for so Yum! Fries were so good and that aïoli sauce don’t get me started!! 10/10!!

Awesome breakfast/brunch spot!! Outdoor turf with games for the little ones and great atmosphere inside. I have never seen a place with Bloody Mary and various flights. My wife was in heaven with the Bloody Mary flight she got. Lastly, our server Kelly H. Was awesome Z she was super knowledgeable about the menu and recommended me a fried rice bowl that was amazing!! Definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone! You won’t be disappointed here!!

Great breakfast selections packed with flavor. Eggs Benny and Huevos Rancheros are delicious. Good cocktail selections. Friendly service in a colorful diner atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We will return.

This place definitely has a good vibe about it. I met a client there a few weeks ago fro late breakfast Half hour wait to get in midweek Food and bloody Mary's were excellent They got a good thing going here Check it out for sure

Place has gone down hill since the opening. The "waitlist" is fake. Got there at the estimated time and was still a hour hour waiting around. If you do go see the hostess they willl ignore you for quite a while until you get in thier face- they are busy playing on thier iPads for a decent hello. Food was so bland. Got the breakfast burrito. Tasted like a bland powered eggs with onions. Even better the non-meat burrito cracked my tooth! Waitress didn't really care. Lastly you need walkie talkies to speak to your friends and family. The blare music in a metal beholding with no sound absolving fabric. Whomever designed this place surely will have a great future in interior design.

This restaurant was a total disappointment! The customer service was beyond unprofessional and downright careless. My friend and I went in for breakfast, asked about coffee, placed our order, and then waited... and waited. No one bothered to check on us until our food miraculously appeared. And let's not even talk about the food - it was far from good. The hot coffee was anything but warm, adding to the list of letdowns. A complete letdown from start to finish!

We came last month in October on a Saturday morning and were seated right away. We've been to other Friendly Toast locations, but this was our first time here. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and pointed out the specials that were unique to their location. I ordered one of them, it was breakfast tacos that combined sweet maple and savoriness and it was an absolute delight. My espresso martini was also delicious. My husband has a gluten allergy and was able to find something he enjoyed as well. We had a great visit, and would love to visit this particular location again. Highly recommend!

We were going through the area and was looking for a good place for breakfast. Fun, nostalgic vibes coming in the door, we sat at the counter. Lots of menu choices for drinks and food, including seasonal specials. We landed on mimosas, the chorizo eggs benedict, and the classic breakfast. Service was prompt, friendly, and everything came out as ordered. The chorizo on the Benedict was delicious. Sour dough toast was tasty as well. My only item was the cost for menu items. For instance, one pancake is $9 and two is $14. Our bill for breakfast was $51. The location and space within the strip mall probably the reason for the increased cost. Would we come back? Yes, much more on the menu to try!

Our server was excellent, she recommended the special at the time (this was in October) which was Pumpkin Pancakes and they were SO GOOD

Overall very diverse breakfast place. The ambiance feels like a hipster diner so the patrons are also quite variegated. Very casual and cute. Service was kind, but sort of awkward. We had to request to order after drinks were delivered. If 3.5 stars were available, that's what I would give. The bowl me over was exciting but slightly missed the mark. The rice was undercooked and consequently hard. The Bulgogi tasted more like brisket. The waffle and and omelet were exactly as expected. Well prepared, not too oily.

Been wanting to try this place out and today we did just that! Place is very nostalgic and inviting! Was seated right away and waitress greeted us and was very nice! Looked over the huge menu options! And made our picks! I had the appapertize me captain plate! Delish it had scrambled eggs in an egg roll , then there were churros and huge tatar tots! More food than i could eat! Husband had classic breakfast. Will deff go back!

This is far the worst place I visited there was no wait which was great, the waitress never said her name when greeted us, ordered was placed between 15 to 20 mins. mild traffic with others customers, breakfast came to our tables and yet our plate tasted as it look horribly made and it was cold immediately my plate looked as if it sat there for hours, it's was cold, soggy, reheated food. so I crushed Everything together thinking maybe it might taste better , it's was very tasteless and the fact it was cold . And we all know how cold food taste like !!!!!!!!! if it's below warm temperatures. cold food had an awful taste, like the black beans was dry due with very very minimal , the egg was cold mushy, its was literally one very thin Piece of the Butt of an onion, the potatoes tasted reheated but it still cold soggy and tasteless I had to add salt and pepper all over my meal . i took a couple bites and this what i found out the hard way. Some how this is all within 20 mins And the temperature to the food was so how Cold ?????? as waitress comes back Ask if Everything ok, I Said No, infact please let me get a pancake instead. my pancake came within 10 mins tasted as expected is was freshly hot, Fluffy, Tasteful - I wished my breakfast was that hot ready like my pancake And tasteful not once did the waitress asked if anything was wrong with the food That was provided by the friendly toast which clearly she noticed and went to her manager which I was clearly watching. The manager never approached us to find out what happened but grab the remaining plates off the table. which he clearly decided not to do anything about the bad service, bad quality food, because him himself looked at both the plates that came back To the kitchen as I'm watching him nor once he came up to us And apologized for the poor service poor food quality that was provided today. As when I asked for my bill am seeing the waitress going up to her manager and seem to question him about the plates that came back, he took a good looked at me through the kitchen doors at me and chanced it, Knowing that food was not right, clearly the waitress notice if she didn't she wouldn't bring it up to you for the 2nd time, You are a selfish individual who provides Bad services to customers, but this customer has a voice and the sad part of all this you knew I was watching you, and yet you never came to our table not even once to asked us if the food was ok ? You seen we barely eat anything off those both plates Because you was well aware of what was going on, you get what you deserve We also left a 12.00 tip on top of total . for the cold food and poorest service that was provide, I hope there's camera if the owner wants proof, That manager needs to go, Wonder why Everbody Going to Tuckers. #Tuckers

Always great food and service. The coffee flight is awesome and their mimosa flight is fun on a summer day.

I don't give 5 stars but this place gets it for tasty food, amazing service, quirky interior, good prices and, strange for a review, ample parking.

This place is always great no matter which location we go to. I just wish they would bring back the breakfast ramen

If you choose to dine here, you will need a reservation. It's constantly busy (for good reason)! We've dined here a handful of times and have had a myriad of dishes; everything has been delicious! The portions are big and filling, especially if you get one of their delicious pancakes! Highly recommend dining here for breakfast!

Gluten free and good often don't go together but these guys are great. They're always friendly and always knowledgeable of what's safe on the menu. This is a place to come. It's usually pretty crowded but isn't too cramped.

Food was average. Small portions for the price. Will stick to other places in the area with better food and prices.

I love this place! The decor is fun and quirky, the wait staff is super nice and helpful, but most of all - the food is amazing! I've been only a few times, but anything that anyone ordered was "omg you have to try this" good. I don't have photos because we dove into eating like starving wolves seeing a steak for the first time.

We absolutely love the Friendly Toast. The food is fantastic, the servers and service are excellent. We have never had a bad experience at the Friendly Toast. That service, food, and entire experience also replicates itself, no matter which Friendly Toast you go to. Make sure to try the cheesie tots. They are out of this world.

Love the online waitlist. Def helps cause this place is always bombed. Food is really good. Lots of fun creative stuff. Got the juevos rancheros and it was delicious. Always go here when we are in Bedford.

The avacado toast was cold. The restaurant name is "toast". Do they not know how to make toast? Topping just thrown on top. Too much of every ingredient. $9 for a piece of toast should be better presentation at least. The toast should be toasted. I also ordered Acai bowl which had good ingredients The carry out container could have been smaller to give it a parfait look. $13.00 and just plopped into a salad take out container. Too sad first time I went. Ouch. I loved the atmosphere and the place was spotless. The waitress was not to blame so I left a tip. I wish it was better food.

Been to The Friendly Toast a couple times. Usually always a good experience. This time was honestly horrible. The bartender was great and doing her job. Our food order was put in at 12:22. A couple came in about 30 minutes after us, and the guy ordered the same thing we did. It was the Buffalo chicken sandwich on cheddar jalapeño bread, which 30 minutes after we ordered we were informed they were out of that bread. The couples food came out before ours. My burrito clearly had been under a heat lamp for a while and my potato's were cold. The chicken sandwich was cold and the bread seemed stale. They brought out another burrito from me, still clearly under a heat lamp and the potatoes just seemed microwaved. The manager seemed to lack any concern to apologize or see if anything could be rectified and left all responsibilities on the bartender. Again the bartender was great and on top of her work, she apologized a couple times. But our food took an hour and wasn't satisfactory, my gf didn't even want a box for her food..... Sometimes sorry isn't enough.

My favorite brunch place. Menu changes so it's hard to pick a favorite dish. I've tried all of the Eggs Benedict dishes and they are all delicious. The Bloody Mary could use more vodka, but don't they all. The only negative is that they close early, but I would recommend this place if you can catch them when they're open.

We have enjoyed other Friendly Toast locations. This one located in the parking lot of a strip mall did not measure up. It was very crowded. The staff were not as cheerful and friendly as we have come to expect. Our breakfasts were both cold and overcooked. The yolks in the signature Eggs Benedict were hard rather than runny. The home fries were dry nuggets. Not the deliciousness we have come to expect from this brand.

Such an amazing, fun place. Both times the waitstaff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable (we had a guest with a food food allergy). I would definitely recommend this place 100%

The toast has really gone downhill over the years. The food used to be out of this world and now it's pretty generic and just okay. The Bedford location is tiny and is always jam packed so it feels like eating breakfast in a sardine can. The portsmouth location has completely lost its charm. The food is bland and the home made breads are lackluster these days. This is what happens when the current ownership focuses on expansion and making everything cookie cutter. It's great for making money but not for making great food. It feels a bit like losing a friend, I have great memories of the portsmouth location before the ownership change.

The wait is ridiculous. Used the online waitlist and showed up and the time it said, called from the parking lot because it looked busy. Was told there would be another hour wait ontop of the 45 we had already waited on the app. I don't care how good the food is, the wait and lack of communication from the staff isn't worth it.

The food here was really good and they had a large menu. It's was mostly brunch food but with some twists. I had gotten the breakfast tacos with home fries. It was exactly what I need for a rough Sunday morning. Four stars because their online waitlist was kind of confusing. My friend put us in the waitlist at 9:30am and we didn't get seated till a little past 11am. It just said wait for the host to text you, but we never received a text. We had to check in with the host stand and still had to wait to be seated. I just wish it was a little more clear in what you have to do. The vibe of this place was very good and it looked like they had a fun drink menu. I would definitely recommend getting on the waitlist early on the weekend.

Flies all over the place. Landing on our food and drinks. Cold home fries and pepper galore. The quality of the ingredients is excellent but the hygiene issues are of concern.

They have several locations... my favorite is in Burlington. Such a good fun vibe with cool staff and decor. Food and drinks are always good!

I was not overall happy with the food, I was very excited to go because I had gone before. I got the NH scrambler, nothing special. Hot chocolate was not hot either. Our waitress was very nice! I did order breakfast egg rolls and they were good.

Love that we can sit outside and bring the pup! The food is always delicious and is able to accommodate all dietary restrictions. The music can be a little loud inside. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's a go to for us! It's a go to for a lot of people though, so you need to be strategic when you go if you don't want to wait forever

Not impressed! When I walked in the hostess was draped across her stool, seemingly uninterested and less than gracious. I ordered a grilled cheese, it came with waffle fries. The waffle fries were cold, tasteless and without flavor. The grilled cheese was too bulky, served on stale white bread/toast, the Grillo pickle was ok. The bartender took 50% off my bill which was appreciated, I did leave a tip, no one seemed to care, it was also loud.

This place rocks! Fun atmosphere, a modern take on a 50s diner. Kid friendly. Delicious food. Great breakfast cocktails. Had to leave a positive review to dissuade the crazies. Should be 4.7 overall! Cheers!

It's always a great time here. Dining with a gluten free spouse can be nerve wracking at times. But the Friendly Toast is one place we know is a safe place. Her food is always served by the manager with a gluten free skewer. The food is always delicious, and the drinks are amazing. It's always packed but it's worth the wait; there's so many fun decorations up on the walls. The staff is always very friendly.

Why in the hell would you remove the ramen noodle bowls from your menu!?!? Other than that the staff is great and the drinks are awesome.

Flavorless run of the mill food. Would not recommend. Service average at best. Food was served cold. Very disappointing because I wanted to like this place! Margarita flight was bland and over priced at $17. Coffee was $3.50 for below average drip coffee. French toast is dry and flavorless. $75 for a below average breakfast for 2.

Delicious. Had chicken cordon bleu bennie which was great and we shared the special biscuit stuffed with sausage gravy. That. Was. Amazing. So good I ordered another to bring home! Such an unusual presentation the rosemary honey on top... very inventive and wicked good! I take pride in my biscuits and gravy and haven't found one at a restaurant that I thought was better. This one is way better. Please add it permanently to the menu!

i was hungry and driving by this place so i stoped and tried it. Sat down and ordered my breakfast, about ten minutes l got my meal. after one bite l realized I got the wrong meal. but it was good so l just decided to eat it. Thirty seconds after I decided this the manager came over to me, said we realize you got the wrong breakfast. Here is the one you otdered, and both are free. That people is how to make customers happy and coming back. Good food, great service, what more could you ask for.
