This is like an atypical diner with all your usuals and more. We got their weekly special green omelette, chicken and waffles, beef bulgogi bowl, and the snap crackle cluck. Everything was good, well seasoned. The waffles had a sweetness to it with bits of bacon. The waffle fries are so good. The beef bowl was very unexpectedly delicious. I didn't think mayo with bulgogi would vibe, but it did! We went at an off time so there weren't a lot of folks dining with us to tell how the staff would be when it's busier, but they were great when we went.

Delicious food and excellent service!! We shared the French Toast sticks with hot jam, I definitely recommend them for a sweet start! I had the vegan scramble--excellent. The vegan sausage has great flavor. My daughter loves their grilles cheese. Their cocktails are excellent. I recommend the cocktail flights. I've tried them all-very fun way to have a drink!

Google
Super cute options! Basic and creative all day brunch options. There’s a lot of cocktails and this place is just right for a weekend relaxing comfortable breakfast. I’ll try the has quiche next

We are vegetarians and were glad to find this place to have brunch on a Sunday. We ordered Vegan Scrambled Tofu, Sam’s Garden Omelette, and Harsh Quiche with no bacon. The quantity was large and we were very full after finished all meals. Every lampshade is different in the store and decor is colorful.

Google
Trendy and colorful but a little pricey for some basic breakfast foods and basic coffee. The only thing I didn't really care for was the bacon and I wish they had more jelly/jam options but everything else was good.

Awesome atmosphere, loved the decor, our food was served quickly and it was delicious, I got the breakfast burrito and my son got one with meat in it . My daughter got the classic breakfast. Served was friendly and quick! Would definitely go back!

My cousin and I went to the Friendly Toast this morning for a late brunch and we had the BEST experience ever. Our server, Phoebe, was so, so lovely and kind and our food and drinks came out super quick. Breakfast burritos were awesome, per usual, but the shining star of our experience was the manager, Pete. He had overheard us talking about a really rough day at work and that we had come from a funeral the day before and he took the time to come over and chat with us, introduce himself, and really make our day. He went above and beyond, dropping off some churros for us to enjoy and made sure to say bye before we left. We are Team Friendly Toast and Team Pete for life, thank you guys so much!!

Yelp
Food, service, ambiance all good. In fact ambience is amazing and so are the wait staff and front desk staff

Yelp
Great brunch. Easy to park. Place had a good vibe, and was pretty full but without a wait.

Yelp
9/10! Really amazing and creative dishes I tried out! Snap, Crackle, Cluck was a really amazing chicken sandwich! The chicken was very tender and moist! The slaw, pickles, and the sesame bun was prepared well and a great compliment to the flavorful chicken. The waffle fries had a unique and amazing taste! The highway strawberry was great but in my opinion, it was too sweet for me. The toast was really soft and delightful. The strawberries were sweet in a good way. There was too much chocolate drizzled on the toast overpowering the balanced flavor of the strawberries and toast. I love the retro themed restaurant and the lively vibrant environment, especially on the weekends. The staff were nice and know their dishes really well! A perfect place to take your family to for brunch after a play date at the park, church, or a nice sports win!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I visited The Friendly Toast this past weekend after discovering it on TikTok. We made a reservation about 30 minutes before our arrival, checked in, waited about 5 minutes, and were promptly seated. First impressions: the place was lively, with every seat taken, so we were excited to try the food. Our waitress, Sarah, was fantastic--super friendly and attentive. Since it was our first time there, we asked for recommendations. I ordered everything she suggested: the Coconut Caramel Coffee (3/5), the Some Like It TOT (3/5), and the Brunch Burg (2/5). My boyfriend went with the Classic Burger (2/5). Let's break it down: **Some Like It TOT (Appetizer)** We were expecting crispy, jumbo tater tots with cheese inside, paired with a flavorful sauce, based on what we had seen in TikTok videos. However, when it arrived after about 10 minutes, we quickly realized it came out so fast because it had likely been sitting around for a while. The tots were cold, the outside was soggy, and the cheese seemed to have already solidified. This immediately raised concerns about the rest of the food quality. I would advise anyone going in to carefully consider what they order, as it seems like many items might just be pre-cooked and then reheated. **Brunch Burg (My Order)** Thankfully, our burgers came out hot and fresh, but unfortunately, they were a letdown. The patties lacked seasoning and didn't offer any exciting flavors. It felt like they just threw some meat on the grill and added basic toppings. No standout taste, just plain and underwhelming. **Classic Burger (My Boyfriend's Order)** His burger was similar--no seasoning and no real flavor to speak of. Both of us were disappointed, especially given the hype around the place. **Coconut Caramel Coffee (My Drink)** I've had coconut caramel coffees before (both regular and alcoholic), but this one was the least impressive. It tasted like they added just one pump of caramel to iced coffee. I could barely taste the Irish cream, and overall, it felt pretty bland. They could definitely have amped up the flavor. While I personally wouldn't return, the restaurant does have a very family-friendly vibe. It was just disappointing that the meals didn't live up to the menu descriptions or our expectations. For the price--around $80 for the two of us--I expected more.

Yelp
First time I've been to the Chestnut Hill location--had high expectations because I've always enjoyed the Back Bay location. Parking was easy since it was mall parking. Seating was quick. My hostess and waitress were friendly. The menu was both smaller and less creative than its Back Bay counterpart. It took my food forever to be ready, but when it was served it was somehow already at room temperature--and parts of it seemed like it had been prepared completely separately, so that half of my meal was starting to get cold already. The version at Back Bay was much more flavorful and the Chestnut Hill location was much less generous with sauce. Pretty disappointed, particularly because I've always enjoyed meals at other locations and this location would've been more convenient for me. All in all, I'd rather wait an extra thirty minutes to get seated at another location.

Yelp
" Wow ; the street taco breakfast is joyfully delicious " Can you say yummy ? The street taco breakfast has my stomach doing cartwheels it's that good . On the tortilla it has maple syrup and it's good . The service is really good especially for a chain restaurant. The food is super delicious especially for a chain restaurant. The vibe is upbeat and friendly . The name is right on for the vibration of the restaurant. Parking is in abundance as it is in a mall . The price is reasonable for the portion size and quality.

Chris M.

Yelp
This is a full blown restaurant with a hostess; they seat everybody. I was alone so I figured I would miss the line and sit as the bar. Yes a breakfast place with a bar. It is located in a mall so lots of parking and I am sure a hefty rent. That would account for the higher prices. There was a line to get in so that tells me something about the quality . Even though they had plenty of seating, the place filled right up. The serving size was average. I was stlll hungry afterwards. The omelet looked like two eggs. If it was three eggs, they must be from a small chicken. The home fries were diced potatoes, cooked but not dripping with oil. I could have had more. I could taste the pepper used for seasoning. I had a vegetable omelette with spinach, tomatoes, mushroom, broccoli and goat cheese. Yum. They must have pre-cooked the broccoli in order for the el dente texture. Overall the food is a notch above everyone but so are the prices. I would still return.

Yelp
Not a long wait for a table of 2 but VERY busy! Food was delicious. Tater tot appetizer i TOTALLY recommend! Lox bagel and bottomless iced coffee & i even added a flavor was great! Service was ok. Appetizer came out with all of the other food which was annoying but worked out fine!

Yelp
Back here after a while and still super solid! Staff was friendly and fast, quick seat at the bar even on a Saturday with a wait. Always delicious French toast, homemade breads are the best

Yelp
Friendly Toast restaurants exude a large amount of "breakfast gravity" on me; it's hard to turn down a chance to eat at one when I'm near one. With this visit, I experienced a couple of firsts. First 1 - it was quiet and only maybe one-quarter occupied. That was probably because it was lunchtime on a weekday at a restaurant in a strip mall. I suspect it's much busier during breakfast and brunch hours on weekends. First 2 - Instead of breakfast, I ordered from the lunch choices for the first time ever. There were lots of interesting hand-held, salad, and sandwich options, but I chose their fried chicken sandwich, because that's sort-of my test sandwich someplace. I'm not aware of anyplace else that claims a Rice Krispies influenced batter. Coffee (they use Peet's) came out quickly, though ever so lightly lukewarm instead of hot, though the refill, which came at the right time, was warmer. The sandwich comes with a reasonable amount of waffle-cut fries and one of the most delicious garlic dill pickles I've had in a long time - if they sell jars of these, I'm so buying some. The sandwich was perhaps more minimally garnished than similar sandwiches at other restaurants - pickled red onion, slices of dill pickle, a sauce. But minimal isn't bad, and in fact this relatively simple construction was quite satisfying. I received very good service. Besides my waitress, I was checked on at regular times by other staff as they passed by. Decor is, as always, eclectic and one of the things that makes dining at a Friendly Toast enjoyable. This particular one is more out of the way for me than the others, but I certainly don't mind going a bit out of my way to eat here.

Yelp
For a local brunch chain, they've got some pretty good bites, friendly staff, and a good ol' somewhat retro atmosphere. As this location is located within the Chestnut Hill Mall, there's plenty of places to park and a handful of places to shop at before and after filling your belly up When it comes to the food, their apps were pretty savory and not terribly heavy, especially for their breakfast eggrolls and their jumbo tots. As for their chicken and waffles, their portion seems pretty generous with how large everything seems. Though their burgers are tasty, I probably wouldn't get it again since it wasn't as filling as I'd prefer (as I'm more of a big eater, but that's just my personal problem). As for drinks, they do have a pretty cute cocktail menu, but unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try them today... so that'll definitely be a goal for next time. Anyway, would recommend

Yelp
Fist time trying this location at Chestnut hill.Cane here for breakfast around 11am. The place was clean and welcoming. The host was friendly and inviting i got a cup coffee fresh brewed and ordered the monster breakfast plate French toast 2 sausage patties home fries and 2 eggs over easy and I love that they give you REAL VERMONT MAPLE SYRUP! Wow so Awesome! The French toast was delicious had a nice golden tone to them well made. Every thing was hot and fresh tasting! The sausage patties were cooked well and tasted good. The eggs coked to how I ordered them. The home fries seasoned well and had a nice char to them and not too salty or greasy. Excellent breakfast I was very happy either way my meal and coffee. The server was great very friendly and checked with me to ask if the meal was good and if any issues with my order. Will be back again for something different on the menu next time!

Yelp
Crazy place with super inventive menu. Would definitely come back. Warning: prepare for a food coma. We had App Breakfast egg rolls (good) Some like it tot (really good) Pancake with banana (really good very big) Meal: Snap, crackle, cluck (great)

Yelp
Actually really enjoyed brunch here! Came for a casual anniversary brunch with my husband. We ordered a blueberry brew special they had a few weeks ago, chicken and waffles, pancakes (half blueberry half chocolate), and chorizo eggs Benedict. I changed out the home fries for their tots special, which was sooo worth it. The waffles was AMAZINGLY -- slightly crunchy on the outside and soft and flavorful inside -- the chicken was alright though. I loveeee the chorizo and the eggs Benedict overall. Everything was complementary. Pancakes were a great "dessert" for us to have too. Would definitely come back for all of these. Great service as well!

Perri V.

Yelp
I've been here several times and all have been good experiences. I typically get the pancake special, which this most recent time was cinnamon roll pancakes. They were delicious and not so sweet that they overwhelmed everything else. They also have good coffee specials. I had the pumpkin oat milk cold brew and it was so good. My kids love it here because they have several good kids options available. They particularly like the mini monster, which has pancakes or French toast, eggs, and sausage or bacon. There is often a wait here, but they move things long relatively quickly. You can also add yourself to the waitlist before you arrive.

Yelp
I thought I'd made a reservation through Yelp, but it ended up being the wrong day so we showed up with a party of 10 and the manager was fantastic. He went out of his way to get us tables right near each other and in the end we were eight adults and one baby, so we squeezed into a round table. Our server was great and everyone loved the food. Highly recommended.

Natalie H.

Yelp
Delish! Many good options to choose from, consistent with taste, and quick service. Depending on the location there can be a long wait but they have an online waitlist!

Ayatt A.

Yelp
I think the Friendly Toast is a great addition to the chestnut hill mall. They have a great menu you with so many different options. We visited around 2 pm on a saturday and sat right down in a corner of the restaurant. The music was really loud where we were sitting but not a big deal. Our server was really nice and efficient. I loved the bottomless Peet's iced coffee! We ordered: Chicken & Waffles, Hash Quiche cups, Eggs Benedict, and Avocado Toast. The food tasty and well enjoyed by all.

Maria S.

Yelp
We have always appreciated friendly toast for their gluten free offerings, interesting menu, and nostalgic decor but today's experience at the chestnut hill was lackluster. My daughter said her omelette and fresh fruit were "sensational" so to be fair we had differing perspectives. I had the hash quiche and although it was good, it was not the egg custard I expected. More like scrambled eggs served inside a potato crust. The fresh dill was a nice touch. The coffee had a disappointingly burnt taste and service was slow. I have a feeling we arrived in the lull between the breakfast and lunch rush and got the in-between treatment.

Carolyn M.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambience were all spectacular. I plan on going back for brunch on my birthday. Cannot wait!

Leslie L.

Yelp
Solid brunch options for the family. Kids menu ranges from $9-12, brunch entrees from $14-$18... But I'm mainly here to post this picture of the 'Hash Quiche' - which is a delightfully weird breakfast concoction that I've never had before - scrambled eggs in a crispy potato hash 'cup'. (Parties of 6 or more, gratuity of 20% is automatically added.)

Yelp
Okay- I walked by this place the last time I was at Chestnut Hill and they were about to close--so I made a note to come back. After a recent trip to Brooks Brothers to buy a few suits my companions and I stopped here on my recommendation for a late afternoon breakfast. The hostess was quick to seat us, she was professional and the table was clean. Our waitress, Ruby, was very attentive and quick to anything we asked for. In fact she was very nice which was probably why I didn't complain when the food came. Two of us ordered Eggs over Easy, dry toast, bacon and home fries, the third ordered Breakfast Egg Rolls. The egg rolls looked creative but were very heavily battered so I passed on trying them. Our eggs? Completely overcooked-- beyond over hard-- they were essentially flat hard boiled eggs. The reason for dry toast is to soak up the egg yolks-- well no egg yolks when the eggs have been beaten to death. The bacon was almost all black and greasy-- and the home fries had shrunk so small it was clear that they had sat on the grill all day. The toast was fine. The iced coffee was a little rough but I've since read they use Peets which is a Tea place that tries to make coffee. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might have been the worst breakfast I've ever had. I've been at those lousy continental breakfasts at hotels all over the world that were better than this. I've had a seven year old make me breakfast on father's day on camping trip where breakfast was better than this. It was so bad when my wife asked if I wanted to go out for breakfast at a local spot we go to I declined, this put me off breakfast out for the time being. If Ruby, our waitress, hadn't been so attentive and sweet I would have sent the whole mess back. But I chalked it up to a place that focuses on hipster design and doesn't put the effort to who's on the grille. I wish I had read the 3.6 reviews here because while I think that rating is extremely generous, it would have made me go to Frank Pepa's instead.

Victoria C.

Yelp
A great location for Friendly Toast in Chestnut Hill. I came here on a weekend for brunch and didn't have to wait too long. The decor inside takes you back to a retro-style diner with wall art, booths, and lighting. We ordered the cookie monster pancakes, chorizo benedict, and made our own omelet. The service was great and our food came out pretty quickly. The eggs were poached nicely and the hollandaise sauce was the perfect consistency. The home fries and omelet were pretty standard diner food. The pancakes were fluffy and had plenty of sugary sweetness to go around. The cookies added texture and weren't too soggy. Overall, a great brunch spot to go to that is also family-friendly.

Aria B.

Yelp
Incredibly rude manager who refused to sit my party of 8 at a table together, despite us making a reservation a week in advance and there being plenty of empty tables that would have allowed us to sit together. Neither the manager nor any of the staff apologized once. Very disappointed that The Friendly Toast was the least friendly experience and staff I have ever had at a restaurant. This experience ruined my sister's birthday (yes, we made the reservation telling them it was her birthday, and they didn't even say happy birthday). If you are a large party, don't even consider coming here. And to the manager, learn to apologize and treat others with kindness instead of apathy (or find a job that doesn't involve customer service).

Zoolbia T.

Yelp
We ordered omelet and scrambled eggs. The food quality was not so good, kind of tasteless. but nice ambiance and good service. Tasty coffee as well.

Jillian B.

Yelp
What a fun little gem of a brunch spot!! After a tough workout nearby, my friend suggested the friendly toast to refuel, and I'm so glad she did. While you can't make reservations here, you can join the waitlist via yelp. On a Sunday around 1pm it was about 45 minutes. The service was really friendly and the restaurant itself was spacious. The decor was fun and retro with neon lights, glittery booths, etc. Food and drink were delicious! We got a mimosa flight which included all 4 of their mimosas. My personal favorite was Simply the Zest while my friend really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake. We both really enjoyed our meals too. I chose the french-toasted donut breakfast sandwich because I dont see it as often on menus. It had a great balance of salty and sweet and the eggs were cooked well. While it can definitely be a wait, I'd recommend to anyone looking for a tasty brunch!

Yelp
Bummer! I like the Friendly Toast, but I was disappointed on how the waitress and manager handled my receiving a dirty mug recently. I ordered chamomile tea and to my surprise after sipping on the mug, I discovered old coffee stains on the mug. Yucky! When I tried to wipe them off, they were embedded in the glass mug. I brought this to the attention of the waitress, and strangely, she was passive and didn't seem very troubled as if it was the norm. It was raised to the manager's attention, and his reaction was worse, as if it was the norm. He was like "aahhh--yeeeees--wow." When I asked him about my eggs not being done, his reply was "Would you like us to put them back on the grill?" Of course, I thought he was playing, but he was not, and I wondered why would he take eggs that were sitting on a plate that I was eating off of and put them back on the grill where other customers food would be prepared. I'm sorry to say that affected my experience as they did not offer a discount of any sort for this huge oversight! What are the hygienic practices at this Friendly Toast? I am apprehensive about returning to this location and justifiably so. Serving food with dirty dishes is a bad practice for many reasons. First, it can make customers sick because unclean dishes might have harmful bacteria or residue that can contaminate the food and cause illnesses. Why was this taken so light Second, it gives the impression that the restaurant doesn't care about cleanliness, and the passive responses I received, I'm leaning in that direction too. Customers expect a clean and hygienic place to eat, so seeing dirty dishes can be gross and make the restaurant look bad. Also, eating off dirty dishes ruins the dining experience. Part of enjoying eating out is having "a nice meal presented on clean and well-maintained dishes." I was so disappointed. Eating off dirty dishes takes away from the enjoyment and makes the meal seem less valuable. Keeping everything clean in a restaurant is important for its reputation, making customers happy, and following health rules. Restaurants must focus on washing dishes properly to keep their customers healthy and satisfied.

Yelp
When you get past the rude hostess, who yelled at us for putting our tables together instead of politely letting us know that we cannot put them together outside...for some reason... we had six people and my service dog... , our service was Great! The waiter was attentive and kind. He noted any food allergies my son had. My family enjoyed their meals. If it were not for the gratuity already on there we would have given a larger tip. The patio outside where we sat was nice on a sunny day.

Alyanna T.

Yelp
My partner and I ordered the chorizo benny and chicken cordon bleu benny - TASTE: 5/5 - honestly wasn't expecting both benedicts to be so good lol. My chorizo benny was so flavorful w the corn, avocado, and chorizo, while the chicken cordon bleu benny had a sweet balance from the Rice Krispies-coating and sriracha glaze. The home fries were well seasoned too! TEXTURE: 4/5 - enjoyed our thick cut English muffins and poached eggs. Only comment is that we wished the home fries were a little crispier! PRICE: 4/5 - rather expensive benny dishes, but embraced the brunch splurge SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - we considered ordering a sweet side of waffles or pancakes, but weren't sure how hearty the entrees would be. Both bennys were just the right size and kept us full for the day SERVICE: 5/5 - we walked in at 1:15pm on a Friday, without needing to join the online waitlist, and were quickly seated. Our waiter was fantastic --attentive, friendly, and energetic-- and our food came out in less than 15min ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - love the retro, colorful vibes and diner decor of Friendly Toast. Always a solid and fun brunch spot! PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of spots in the The Shops of Chestnut Hill parking lot

Yelp
I got the tacos with the spicy Bloody Mary cocktail. The tacos were good. The service was a bit slow due to the large crowd. I liked the dining space and the decorations. They asked us to leave after a little while because they needed to seat the next customers as soon as we finished our food which was bit rude.

Taina R.

Yelp
I like this location the best. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and the food was good. The bathrooms are clean, nice and stocked! The egg rolls are yummy!

Ti W.

Yelp
Big big portion and very delicious! Service is very efficient and servers are friendly. No wonder there is usually a line.

Tasty S.

Yelp
Lots of options on the menu...slightly mediocre Very detailed interior Funny sign in the bathroom lol

Yelp
The food is always great, but I felt uncomfortable when being seated on 8/25/2024 we first asked to sit outside and we're told there were no open seats, and no waiters but there clearly were. I was in a party of 3 and was sat at a table with six chairs. When we asked about moving the hostess said there were no waiter, but we then saw another party of three seated at a booth.

Shoel P.

Yelp
The food was good, but we ended up waiting 40 minutes for our food while people who sat down after us and order the same thing got their food and even finished eating while our kids sat and waited for theirs. I would not suggest coming here if you have kids who are hungry.

Joy S.

Yelp
Great spot for fun, casual, yummy breakfast brunch food, with a few cool lunch items thrown in. Ambience is joyful and all wait staff I have encountered there has been super friendly. Is it part of the job requirement? I've always had a great experience at this chestnut hill location. from big birthday meals to a quick lady's lunch. I have also been to the one in Portsmouth. NH many times. Both places are exactly what they say they are. Friendly good eats!!

Dan W.

Yelp
We used to be fans of this place but they recently changed the menu and seemingly their food distributed...many of the items we used to like either went away or don't taste the same anymore. Even the cranberry juice and hot chocolate are now different and disappointing. Environment and staff are still welcoming but the food is a bummer

Edward W.

Yelp
Three months ago, my friend and I dropped by this place for dinner on a Friday night. We had to wait for about 20 minutes before getting seated. We ordered the churro bites for an appetizer. They were fried doughnut pieces tossed in cinnamon and sugar and drizzled with creamy cheese glaze. There was also a side of strawberry jam and chocolate ganache. They were good although I think this would be better as a dessert. For entree, I got the cordon bleu benny which consisted of a thick English muffin, smoked ham, crispy chicken breast, poached eggs, sriracha sauce, drizzled with cheddar cheese sauce. It also came with a side of home fries. It was definitely way spicier than I expected. The smoked ham was burnt and overcooked. The entree was a bit of a disappointment... I might give other things on the menu another shot...

Jaleesa E.

Yelp
I placed my order that I been ordering for a long time. In fact it's the only thing I order. It is the monster breakfast with french toast w/ caramelized bananas and bacon. I placed my order and shortly after the waitress who took my order comes back to me to say the kitchen told her they don't caramelize bananas anymore but that I can have fresh fruit on top. I understand that restaurants change their menu but this was a topping that they had the ingredients to make. It was super frustrating considering we left one Friendly Toast to go to another just to be told they " don't do the caramelized bananas". I like my regular order and certainly would not have come had I known I wouldn't have the opportunity to enjoy my meal as I normally order it.

Melissa P.

Yelp
This is such a fun place for brunch! If you don't mind the loud acoustics of people chatting, then this is a fun place to go for good food, good service, and wide menu options. The prices could be "friendlier" by being a bit less costly but as the chain grows, so does the hype. I always get the Friendly Toast benny which never disappoints. The portion of homefries is small so I tend to get an appetizer to ensure I am left satiated. The staff is always very kind and attentive, I've witnessed the manager come out to personally understand the specific requests of a customer that was sitting next to me.

Dean O.

Yelp
Charlie the server was great. So were the Mamosa flights. But I was very disappointed with my Sklarmageddon Omelet. The egg was practically white from all the milk used, and the ingredients were slim pickings.

Lala Lauren B.

Yelp
Food is always fantastic and the people are always very friendly. A slightly different vibe than the Cambridge location but still a cool place.

Melissa Y.

Yelp
The Friendly Toast is definitely a Friendly place to be! Why have I never been here before? This restaurant is quite delicious and also very funky inside closed doors. A fun place for adults to drink and eat breakfast all day long. The one in Chestnut Hill is a newer location (along with Legacy Place) in Dedham, which is actually closer to me. They have a ton of breakfast items that looked yummy. We ordered the Breakfast Sampler which was actually very filling. It seemed to have all their favorite items on here like their tater tots, churros, and breakfast egg roll. Oh, and they add a side of fruit so that you don't feel guilty for eating unhealthy, at least that is what I assumed:). I also ordered a Bloody Mary which was good, but I just wish they added a normal-size celery stick instead of a short one. I am one of those people who chomp on the celery stick before slurping down the Bloody Mary. I know will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items, but until then I highly recommend visiting The Friendly Toast for your #sundaybrunchgoal!

Yelp
Very sad to have made a reservation for 8 and then been forced to sit at separate tables (despite numerous empty tables). The manager seemed not to care at all and did not apologize once. Even worse, after separating us, they had the audacity to put all the costs on one bill and charge us the "large party fee." The manager at Friendly Toast is anything but friendly and more likely to burn bridges with customers than toast to a happy dining experience.

Yelp
We had the Monster breakfast. The ambiance of the restaurant was 50's style. The food was in decent portions and cooked very good. Our server Amilcar was awesome. He was friendly and attentive. He made sure our food was correct and if we needed more of anything. The best part of eating at Friendly Toast was Amilcar.

Yelp
The UN-Friendly Toast This review is for the service. Terrible place for a family with young kids that are hungry. I went in with my 4 and 1 year old while my husband was on his way with our seven-year-old from class. My two kids were very hungry and I asked for a table they said they could not seat us until we're all there. I said I would order for all of us and that my kids were very hungry. They would not seat us even though the restaurant was empty, and not very busy. The hosts seemed very disinterested and not accommodating and went back to looking on their phones as soon as we left. I went next-door to cheesecake factory whose staff was amazing. I understand if it was a very busy time but they literally had a lot of tables open and could have accommodated us.

Yelp
To the manager Sunday 10/20/2024, if you want single star reviews gaslight your patrons, and argue with them at their view of your service is invalid. The customer is always right...

Yelp
Food was delicious! Haven't gotten anything in the menu I haven't liked yet. Service was great. The atmosphere is whimsical and fun!
