This business got the best vintage clothing store award for Palm Springs. While it's a nice enough store I'm not really sure why it received that award. The service seemed friendly enough and there was a variety of items to look at. Nothing really seemed particularly outstanding. The prices while slightly elevated since it's a curated collection seemed reasonable enough

One of the best curated and coolest vintage stores I've ever been in. The owners know the story behind the pieces they are selling, there's a lot of love and history here! I wanted every single item. Conditions were excellent, nothing smelled or looked worn out, and most of all PS style is thriving in here! Don't miss this gem!

Ok so this isn’t a cheap vintage store but the selection is amazing. Really exceptionally beautiful clothing from the 50s up. I have never been to any store like it. And the woman working was lovely.

This was one of the most fun shopping experiences. The shop is absolutely packed with treasures and the owner is very friendly. I will never be taking off the muumuu I bought made from vintage fabric.

What a beautifully-curated shop! Prices are great for the quality of vintage. I left with a gorgeous caftan I can't wait to rock.

Not at all friendly to anyone from “out of town”- very cliquey seeming & judgemental staff kind of looking you up & down. Didn’t feel comfortable browsing here at all. Boo! Sorry they lost my $$$.

Freaking AMAZING mix & variety of young, hip, bright, colorful, patterned vintage clothing for men and women from the last 20 - 25 years! Service is exceptional. They will help you select something for your body type etc IF you ask. Beautiful store layout. Great dressing rooms to try things on. Get a really cool rockin hip outfit for your very chic private event that only the coolest people in town know about for Modernism Week. ;-)

What a fun place to hang and browse for a while! They have some really quality furniture for better prices than I've seen in Tulsa. There is everything for the home and loads of clothing. The store is clean and well organized.

I'm honestly not sure how to start this review. The taste level was interesting. Certain pieces in the racks of "too much print and color" were quite pretty, but having so much stuffed into the shop was a mistake. It made reviewing the pieces difficult, and gave an overall sense of gauche to the room. Service was non-existent during my time in the store, and the price was laughable. One piece in particular, a super cute wooden bracelet, reminded me of something my grandmother owned in the 80's and had purchased at a garage sale. Nothing I would ever pay $38 for, ever. I wouldn't return to Frippery.

I Love Shopping at THE FRIPPERY! It is my favorite store! I have lived in Palm Springs for years! So I have shopped used, consignment, resale and VINTAGE clothing and handbag stores all up and down the Coachella Valley. From Indio, La Quinta and Palm Desert all the way over to Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, Cathedral City and Rancho Mirage all in my passionate search for authentic vintage fashion and style. So I can say with much confidence that my favorite fashion boutique to find clothes, garments, costume jewelry and other accessories is The Frippery! Let's start with the midcentury designer dresses! I am so hot for a vintage caftan right now and this boutique has more beautiful CAFTANS and TIKI style muumuus than any of the other dress shops around. They have them in all sizes including extra large so men like me can wear them too! I have a beautiful patio garden for my modernist sculpture and macrame' collection and I love to light my big Moroccan brass candlesticks and waft around in a long silk tunic or caftan under the stars and palm trees. It's Pure Romance. The Women's Clothing here is different from other vintage resale stores. This vintage shop has mostly colorful resort wear with lots of amazing prints. Think Mod Space Age Psychedelic sixties and California Mid-Century Craft Seventies. When clothing was also considered modern ART! HELLO! NEXT STEP! I'm now completely turned on to the 80s! It's in just part of one of my closets right now. However I may have to give over the entire thing after seeing this clothing boutique 's stylish ensemble of authentic postmodern eighties design apparel and fine vintage costume jewelry. 1980s dress designers definitely had their own point of view and I have to say I think I like it! I'm excited to see the men's vintage clothing collection growing in this shop. There aren't many good men's clothing shops in the Coachella valley beyond some meek secondhand designer wear and vintage handbags in a few of the high-end vintage shops. But those are mostly brand oriented and not style oriented. The Frippery gets me. They have passion and that is what collecting vintage fashion is all about.

Perfect Palm Springs shopping destination for one-of-a-kind vintage kaftans and dresses. Service / COVID tips: The service is phenomenal. They have limited store hours because of COVID, so I dm'd the store on Instagram to set up an appointment for my friend and I to shop. They replied right away and scheduled me for 9am Sunday morning (the only time I was available, and they were able to fit me in on short notice). The store owner was there to greet us when we arrived at 9am. He was so helpful and knowledgeable about the inventory and made perfect suggestions without being "pushy." **If you are serious about shopping I highly recommend making an appointment - you will have a true VIP experience, and lots of room to shop, and no crowds or lines.** Products: The owners's 74 year old mother sews many of the kaftans using unique vintage fabrics so the dresses here are truly one of a kind. The other dresses are authentic vintage and all of the vintage pieces (shirts, coats, and some menswear) are in pristine condition. Some epic designer finds and accessories - I left a red Fendi belt behind that I am still dreaming about. Overall, amazing variety, tons of colors and patterns, etc. Price: Every dress or kaftan I looked at was between $140 and $260, but their prices vary depending on the item. Rare/vintage dresses are priced accordingly. There is no "minimum spend" for an appointment, but obviously it is common courtesy to only make an appointment if you intend to make a purchase. Skip the outlets. If you want a truly unique Palm Springs shopping experience, go to THE FRIPPERY.

Do you need a lovely dress or caftan? Then this is your spot... So much wonderful color. Fun. Bright. Very Palm Springs in all the right ways. Don't forget to tuck into the back -- I was here easily 3 times and didn't know they had 2 back rooms.

This place is magical. Bought four fabulous dresses and could have easily kept going. Shopkeepers are super friendly and helpful. Overall a delightful experience!

While traveling through Palm Springs i checked out A local vintage shop called Gypsyland and found amaaazing one of a kind pieces. At amazing prices!!l The wonderful owner suggested I check out the frippery, and I'm beyond disappointed, the selection is mediocre but the price points are okay for what you're getting but the bigger issues is the customer service. My mother and I walked into the store, where the women at the front counter ignored us both as she filed her nails and talked to another customer about how her hips couldn't fit into a green dress, she offered information to a gentleman about locations of other sites, still ignoring us... & After waking the entire store, picking up an item, she continued to ignore me waiting for a fitting room, until I put the item down... did she say " when did you ladies sneak in " as if she had seen my mother standing just inches from the counter she was standing. Or as if we weren't next to her the woman and the green dress, as well as the man she so kindly offered information too....I proceeded to respond letting her know we've been in the store or quite some time and she responded with, yeah Im filing my nails... it's just soooo rude. Picking and choosing which customers to acknowledge, service and speak to is unprofessional and establishes a bias, this employee most definitely made clear, my mother and I were not welcome. I wouldn't recommend this location or establishment at all. VINTAGE SHOPPERS STAY AWAY. This store is not all inclusive and everyone is NOT treated the same

Neat little vintage clothing store with unique items organized by color. The lady working there was helpful and friendly. I was shopping for my daughter who loves vintage clothing. A little pricey for me but not things you can easily find elsewhere so I just considered it more like a finder's fee. Items were high quality and in great shape - not a garage sale.

hallelujah!! hallelujah!!!!! This place is amazing. Vintage clothing at all levels/price points. Personally I'm a Lilly Putlizer girl. I especially love the old school Lilly and this a fantastic place for her and look a likes. I spent tons of time here trying on amazing pieces of vintage clothing and scored a few great finds. From everything from 50s-70s, you find amazing clothes here. They range from casual to couture and they have it ALL. The sweet Lilly-ish dress I got fit like a glove and I scored an amazing Pucci (ish) top as well. Both were in great condition and the fabulous man working gave me a sweet deal because I promised I'd Yelp about it. The staff was beyond helpful with helping to discuss alterations on pieces I tried on. And he also offered honest opinions as well, and didn't just try to score a sale. I tried on one dress that was in no way flattering to me and when I came out of the dressing room he immediately stated "absolutely not". I appreciate that!!! The service here was fantastic, the inventory has anything from women's dresses to mens fashions, accessories such as shoes, bags and jewelry. The prices were reasonable for the quality as well. I cannot WAIT for my next trip back to PS so I can score more cute vintage clothes!!

Interesting things but not interesting to us. Small Quaint store, couldn't figure out how it's organized and really didn't find anything to keep us in the store more than 10 minutes. To be fair others seemed to be having fun so might be it just wasn't our cup of tea.

Love, love, love this shop! I didn't see much in my [larger] size so I asked the owner if he had anything and pulled out from the back was a whole rack in my size. All recent St. John clothing! Very expensive line that he had at a great price. And since I got 4 pieces, he gave me an even better price. I can't wait to go back. The vintage selection was great too. The owner's little dog was adorable. Teeny little thing.

Very nice merchandise. The vintage items are immaculate . The shop attendants are very knowledgeable and courteous. They have vintage clothes from every period. Great jewelry and bags. The fittings rooms are beautiful and clean.

The Deja Vu Room is my new "guilty pleasure " ! They have the most amazing vintage women's things ( great gifts for the Sister back East ) and some pretty fabulous Mens tings ! Just picked up a beautiful silk dinner jacket for a 50's Cocktail Birthday Party last week and got tons of complements . Also a great assortment of vintage cuff-links ! Matthew seems to have a great eye when it come to collecting the best of the best vintage wear here in the Desert !

The best! I had an 80's party to go to and the woman who helped me, turned on 80s music and gave me two dressing room with 20 outfits! Everyone at the party was very impressed with my 80s dress :-) Great items, super friendly and really fun. Thank yoU!!

Mon 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Is this correct? I went there today based on this info and it was CLOSED. Bummed ... I give it a 5 star based on what I was expecting but my (lack of) experience was not a 5. I did not see hours posted on the door or window there.

We had the best time visiting the Deja Vu room in Palm Springs- it is the place to find vintage clothing in Palm Springs- Not only is it visually a fun place to shop, the staff was extremely helpful finding sizes and keying into my style, and what I was searching for. I picked up a great 1950's men's smoking jacket; my friend Kathy grabbed a beautiful dress and earings....she's from LA and can't wait to come back on her next visit!!! Loved it.

Fantastic selection of high quality, vintage clothing. I purchased an amazing 60's vintage outfit for my wife consisting of a dress, shoes, earrings, gloves and a clutch for an affordable price. The owner was most helpful in putting together the outfit. My wife loves the clothes... And we are very pleased.

Perfect paradigm of mid century palm springs style! gorgeous pieces curated by a very stylish william miller! I have found lovely pieces here every time and you can count on beautiful 1950s and funky 1960s design!

My friends and I had a fabulous time at Deja Vu today! Purchased some beautiful vintage clutch purses (everything is the real deal and very high end). Bill is picky so he only accepts high quality clothing and accessories. My friend bought two dresses and a pair of shoes for her teenage daughter and Bill guessed the daughter's dress and shoe size just by looking at her. Can't wait to use my new clutches out on the town. We'll be back next year!

First rate and top drawer. A bit pricey but worth it . Small shop with extremely well chosen pieces. This store is well worth seeking out and visiting. So much of this stuff you'd be hard pressed to see again and a vintage clothing/ accessory lover's dream.

Every time I come to Palm Springs, I always stop in for a visit at Deja Vu to check out their fantastic clothes. The last two big evening events I've attended, I've found fabulous dresses here, and I was in a wedding this summer and used Deja Vu to accessorize. I found a pin for my hair, earrings, and a necklace. I really made my dress stand out and Bill Miller was a great help in making my selections. The merchandise turns over frequently so there is always something new to try. It is also close to Cheeky's so it's a great way to kill time browsing while you wait to be seated. Definitely check it out!

This place is fantastic, elegant and the service there is wonderful! I consigned some clothing with William, the owner, and he was so charming and really loved my garments. I look forward to doing more business with Deja Vu and shopping there too!

We love Bill!! He is charming, has impeccable taste and made our visit there a blast. We couldn't leave. My friends and I would pay and then on our way out the door, spot a new treasure and need to try it on. It went that way for hours! We left with several bags of goodies: fantastic dresses, jewelry and handbags! What a fun time in a great new vintage spot! Palm Springs has needed you BIll!!

Fabulous Vintage clothing, in a great atmosphere. This store is a jewel box of amazing pristine vintage clothing! The selection of men's and women's clothes is fantastic! I bought a great vintage dinner jacket and three very cool vintage T-shirts Customer service is great and the prices right! Highly recommend The Deja Vu room !

The store is amazing!! The set up makes it easy to shop!! I have bought a few fabulous dresses from the store and stop in regularly to check out the new selections!!! The clothes, jewelry, purses, and shoes are all from the top designers in the world! The owners and staff are great to work with and help make your shopping experience exceptional!!! This is the only store where you can get a Nina Ricci couture gown that makes you feel like a million bucks, without spending a fortune!!! Love, love, love this store!!!
