We ordered a cake from Frosted Fox for our three year old’s birthday party. The ordering process was seamless. When I went to pick up the cake, I nearly cried. They did an amazing job for my cars-loving kid. They even helped me bring it out to my car. The cake tasted amazing - people were asking us if they could take a couple more slices home with them. Thank you, Frosted Fox! We will definitely be back for more!

I recently purchased a wedding cake from this bakery and they did an amazing job, the initial tasting process was easy and smooth, and they understood and executed my vision perfectly. Several of my wedding guests commented on how delicious the cake was, I couldn’t be happier!

We hired Frosted Fox to make our four-tier wedding cake. They were incredible to work with from the initial to-go tasting, to the planning phone call, and the whole process leading up to the wedding. Our cake was absolutely delicious and designed just as we’d hoped. We heard so many compliments from our guests about how delicious the cake was. Jenny and her whole team were great to work with. We would recommend them to anyone in the area and hope to find an excuse to use them again in the future!

We loved working with the Frosted Fox for our wedding! During our initial tasting, we were blown away with how delicious everything was! There were enough flavor options to cater to all different preferences and all of the icings and fillings we tasted were so good! I had a great experience working with the Frosted Fox on this soccer cake last month! They were able to create this from a few inspiration photos and both Premiere League fans were impressed. Definitely recommend them for custom cakes!

We used Frosted Fox for our wedding cake and would highly recommend them! We chose three different flavor/frosting combinations and they all were delicious and received compliments from many of the guests. The tasting box was easy to order and pick up plus the cost of that went towards our wedding cake cost. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. If I could give this bake shop 10 stars I absolutely would. I went to this place for my fiancé's birthday cake, our wedding cake, and most recently my sister's birthday cake and none of them disappointed! Amazing flavor, richness and quality. All the cakes and other desserts I got from them were 11/10 rated for sure. I will continue to buy from The Frosted Fox for as long as I can.

TL;DR: responsive, transparent, professional. Budget-friendly. Moist, flavourful cakes. Easy taste-testing. Excellent design execution. I have had an excellent experience working with Sean and Frosted Fox for our very belated wedding-ish party. Theirs was the only bake shop of several that I called that actually picked up and immediately provided rough prices (well within out budget). Not only are they responsive, but also transparent and were willing to work with me on flavours and design to meet my budget. Their storefront also has “scrapple cups” made of excess cake scraps and frosting that easily let you try their flavour combinations. These not only helped us taste-test (which can otherwise be expensive with an official tasting, and often cannot be scheduled at all on a short notice like for our party), but is also a more accurate representation of the final product than say cupcakes would be (as some shops do for taste-testing), which bake differently than cake and can often be drier than the actual cakes. We had a lot of back and forth and they were very patient and full of expert advice on flavours and design both. We came up with designs together and their execution far exceeded my expectations. Also, they didn’t use any fondant. The cakes tasted amazing and were moist with good texture and had really well-proportioned filling and frosting. I love desserts but don’t like being overwhelmed with sugar. The cakes were not overly sweet, but had the flavours shine through. We bought three single-tier cakes with individualised floral designs - chocolate cake / chocolate frosting / Bavarian cream; carrot cake / cream cheese frosting / chai filling; and lemon cake / passionfruit and lemon curd alternating / cream cheese frosting. I loved each of these. I can’t pick a favourite. I wholeheartedly recommend Frosted Fox!

Frosted Fox Cake Shop has excellent customer service. They are kind, communicative and get things done! In comparison to neighboring bakeries, the prices are fair as well. We ordered a Spiced Chai Vanilla cake for a friend's bridal shower and oh my God...it was divine. The frosting wasn't overly sweet and the cake itself had notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and all the autumn spices you could imagine. Overall, had a positive experience and will be ordering from here in the future.

I cannot begin to tell you how extremely pleased and blown away I was by this bakery. Sean and his wife were absolutely amazing and made the process so seamless from the consult to the cake tasting to the delivery of the cake to my niece's birthday venue. They literally created what I envisioned and wanted the cake to be. It was absolutely gorgeous and tasted phenomenal! I will definitely be ordering all of my cakes from here going forward and suggest that if you are looking for a bakery that can customize your cake you don't hesitate to choose the Frosted Fox! I never have time for reviews but they deserve all the praise and had to add my two cents on yelp!!!

I've ordered from the Frosted Fox - a bunch. and will continue to go there.... I highly recommend any of the Thanksgiving pies. We have ordered Pumpkin and Pear Ginger in the past - 2 years ago. I've gotten their cupcakes, pastries and they have these cups of cake bits that are yummy and don't break the bank. Some of the cups are very sweet - so you have to choose right if you're not like a super sweet kinda person. For my sister-in-law's birthday this year - we got one of their traditional birthday cakes yellow with chocolate icing. Personalized for her. Very delicious. In fact, she took it back to her house since we didn't finish it. She told me "this is beyond amazing. We ate the entire cake!" While most people post cakes how they look before they're touched, I will post a picture of the cake my SIL sent when it was completely finished. :) Just a testament to the yumminess. While it isn't inexpensive, it is worth it!

This birthday cake was for my friends 40th. Everyone loved it. They said it was gorgeous and delicious. We did the larger tier yellow with raspberry filling and the top a weird combo of chocolate and lemon.. The service is great and i would continue going there for cake into the future.. definitely recommend!

Oh my goodness how have I not reviewed this amazing place yet? We first found this spot when looking for a place to get a mini smash cake for my son's first birthday and some cupcakes and both were to die for. They were so lovely and easy to work with and always available to make payment, ordering and pickup as convenient as possible. Parking can be tough on the block but as long as you don't mind a short walk it's amazing

I had cake from this bakery from an event I attended and it was so delicious. I told myself soon as my birthday came I was ordering me a cake. An that's exactly what I did, I ordered the white cake with honey buttercream icing. It's considered a specialty cake so order 14 days in advance. This place seem so well organized and put together. Little sections of different treats throughout the small quaint shop. Everyone wearing a mask. Sections roped off. You could just tell it was well managed, an a fun place to work. So after going to my birthday dinner I get out of the car and the cake box fell though the bottom of the paper bag. Which is why I posted the second pic. I'm glad it happened at the end of my night and not as I left the bakery. Just a heads up the paper bag with handles may not have had enough glue on it at the bottom to hold the cake. May want to use plastic bags. Luckily the cake didn't come out of the box, and I was still able to enjoy it

My birthday cake was beautiful and taste freaking amazing. The quality of the cake was outstanding. I'm glad I chose them to make it. Definitely a loyal customer now.

For the past 6 years of me ordering my daughter's birthday cakes, I believe the prettier the cake, the nastier the taste. I had 6 years of experience lol. This year I decided to go somewhere a bit far to see if I can get a cake for my daughter in Roblox theme. I came across Frosted Fox. The very positive reviews on both Yelp and Google lure me to this bakery. And it definitely didn't disappoint! I had contacted The Frosted Fox two weeks before her birthday. I had communicated with Sean thru both emails and on the phone for all the details. The ordering process were quick and easy. Usually my cakes including the topper cost $250 and up, but it cost under $200 this time, which i find it very reasonable. The cake were so delicious that it was gone after three hours lol..... P.s. The only part left is the unicorn, it is TOO CUTE to eat!

The Frosted Fox is wonderful!! The shop itself is so cute and very homey. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they'll help you carry stuff out to your car and everything. I was very excited to try to Cake Scrapple, which was great. Their wedding cookies are perfection. I do wish they were open Sundays

I absolutely LoVE the team and creativity of the bakers at the Frosted Fox Cake Shop. They created the perfect cake to celebrate my birthday. It was a beautiful work of art. The show stopper, the conversation starter, the treat my guests looked forward to... and, they weren't disappointed! Flavors of my lemon cake w raspberry buttercream layers were spot on! It was everything I expected and more. Everyone enjoyed the cake. In addition to this fabulous cake design, I appreciated the level of service from the moment I sent an online request through my final cake choice. Thank you Sean, Jennifer and team! I can't thank The Frosted Fox Cake Shop enough for the beautiful cake they made for my daughter's birthday. It exceeded my expectations in every way and tasted great! I placed my order over the phone and emailed them a few images of what I was looking for and they got everything right, even the small, little details. It was just perfect, almost too perfect to eat!

This is probably the most amazing small adorable cake shop. I had heard amazing things about them but had never had any of their baked goods before so we went to check them out to possibly hire them for our son's bar mitzvah. I am so glad we did! Sean was a dream to work with, extremely kind, flexible and easy-going and made our cake look and taste amazing!! When we arrived at his shop he had put together this awesome tasting kit which is worth way more than what we paid for it. In the kit was every flavor of icings and fillings you could imagine, there were mousses jams buttercreams you name it. All were delicious and it was hard to pick just a couple flavors as you could've gone so many different ways with all the options. In the end we picked one layer to be lemon cake with lemon curd and raspberry jam and the other layer to be red velvet with the white chocolate mousse, both were delicious. The decorating was super cool and completely on point with our theme. I wish I had a picture to post and when our photographs come back I will definitely update this post and add a picture of it. Besides cakes at the bake shop they have cookies lemon bars and all types of delicious items available. I definitely recommend you go check them out!

A truly excellent space and place. Great people working here, making incredible sweets. I don't know how/why Germantown Avenue doesn't have more businesses like this. Germantown through Chestnut Hill should be at this level, but alas... Back to the review: best cakes around (I was never a carrot cake fan until I came here...major convert...). The cake cups also allow all the wonders of the cakes to be edible affordable!

We could not be happier that our wedding cake was taken care of by the team at the Frosted Fox! Early in our wedding planning process, we had decided that we wanted a small cake that would only be for us & tailored just to our liking - as a way to have something special just between the 2 of us, in case the rest of the day became too chaotic with our guests. A fear of mine was that since we were looking for a smaller "product" than a traditional wedding cake, it might be difficult to find someone willing to spend the time personalizing the design to what we were looking for. As soon as we had our meeting with Jennifer, I knew we wouldn't have to worry about that with her team. She listened to everything we had to say, offered suggestions that heightened our original idea based off of what we were describing to her & genuinely seems to enjoy the creative design aspect of her role. The entire team was prompt, helpful & so friendly any time we had to reach out leading up to our wedding day! Seeing our cake for the first time on our wedding day was so special because it was something shared between just us & our parents & it was GORGEOUS - words cannot describe! I can't remember ever being at a wedding where the guests are going out of their way to check out where the cake is set up but it happened for us all night! The only thing better than the design of the cake was HOW IT TASTED!! Red velvet cake has played a recurring role throughout our relationship for any & all special occasions & we both agreed we want to continue the tradition in our marriage - but strictly from the Frosted Fox from this point on! We actually skipped the afterparty at the hotel in favor of eating more cake in bed, just us 2. And that's saying something!! Thank you so much to the team at the Frosted Fox Cake Shop!

I was so pleased with the service and cake. We celebrated my parents' 65th anniversary today and was so happy with the cake that was ordered. The cake was in 3 tiers with beautiful decorations and was so delicious. The red velvet cake is my favorite. To the initial call, to the taste kits, to Sean's patience and high attention to detail...to say I was pleased is a true understatement. They even put fresh flowers on the cake and delivered it on time. Everything was so professionally done that I will definitely be recommending your fine establishment. Thank you again!

I Google cake bakery near me and stumbled upon this bake shop. So GLAD I did as the triple chocolate cake was scrumptious moist and not overly sweet. The icing was smooth and just enough for the amount of cake. I also tried the scramble cups and the lemon curd cake was to die for. The carrot cake was yummy and had no nuts just like I like it. I highly recommend this bake shop you will not be disappointed.

The Frosted Fox did an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job on my Mom's birthday cake. It exceeded my expectations! The Owner is so sweet and extremely professional. This cake had been on order for over a year and she graciously accommodated each and every postponement! I can't thank them enough. My mother LOVED IT!

I was very pleased to receive a gift of an apple crumble (or crisp, if you will) from some neighbors recently. The pie lived up to the Frosted Fox's excellent reputation (and I confess, I had meant for quite some time to stop in and get something, but just never managed it). It was a quite thick/deep pie, solid with apple slices, and sweet, but not too much so, from the topping. Moist, but not watery or runny. The slices hang together nicely as slices, although my photo of a slice shows it somewhat broken up. Now, this might be controversial among some of you, but while almost all the apple slices were fully cooked, there were just a few left just a bit "al dente" - I rather liked this. Definitely better this end of the spectrum than a pie that is fully reduced to mushiness.

Just can't say enough great things. Frosted Fox made this beautiful cake for my sons first birthday -- it was exactly what we wanted, tasted amazing, and was so reasonably priced!

Exactly what I wanted for my son's second birthday and it tasted great!! Jenny was also patiently listening to what/how I wanted it to be, even I changed my mind couple times.

50th birthday cake delicious and beautifully made. Vanilla with strawberry and white chocolate filling. It was absolutely beautiful and just perfection.

The carrot cake is absolutely delicious and stunning. The cookies are charming and taste divine. For years we ordered from Bredenbeck's mostly out of tradition. This place is far superior in customer service, cleanliness and quality of products! Love this place!

I was reminded to write this review as I was enjoying eating the top tier of my wedding cake with my husband for our first anniversary. Let me tell you, I was not expecting that this cake would hold up a year out, but it tastes JUST AS GOOD as it did on our wedding day! We had a wonderful experience getting our wedding cake here. I was living out of state while my husband was living in Philly last year and we only had a few dates to do tastings, etc. and the staff was so lovely and accommodating of this. The tasting was definitely my favorite part of wedding planning! We selected several different cake options and frosting options and were able to mix and match however we liked. We ended up choosing the almond cake with the passionfruit curd and buttercream for half of our tiers, and red velvet for the other half. The passion fruit curd is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I actually could not stop thinking about it in the weeks leading up to my wedding. And even more amazingly it has withstood the test of a years' time in the freezer and tastes phenomenal even today! The cake itself was gorgeous, we opted for a marbled agate effect with different shades of blue and gold rippling through. They absolutely nailed the design and we loved how it contrasted with the flowers our florist brought to adorn the cake with. I am sorry I took so long to post this rave review, Frosted Fox! Now that I live in Philadelphia I know I have a go-to bakery that I can trust for quality and excellent service. Thank you for everything!

Jenny made Peter Rabbit themed cake for my son's first Birthday. It turned out great, and she was really helpful in making few last minute additions to the cake on the day of delivery. Cake tasted so delicious, everyone at the party enjoyed the flavors. Also the monster theme smash cake looked really good.

Love, love love their cakes they are outstanding!! Good variety of flavors for cake, fillings and icings. They've always been able to accommodate me even if it's last minute.

This is THE BEST bakery without a doubt. I have got to say the service is outstanding and the special occasion cakes I have bought from the FrostedFox are beautifully decorated and amazed all of my events guests. Absolutely Amazing!!!

Upon first glance this appears to be a very nice little cake shop. It has enough curb appeal that it made me stop in and check it out. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly young lady who explained that they have cake scraps (scrapple)for sale instead of slices. They place the cake trimmings in a plastic cup along with some icing. They also sell cookies, cupcakes, macaroons and some other small pastries. But they appear to focus on making and selling whole cakes. I purchased a red velvet cake scrapple, a lemon cake scrapple and two double chocolate chip cookies. The cookies were very good. But the cake is another story. Let me start by saying that I've driven all the way to NYC for good cake. This was not good cake. I know that some people believe this to be good cake but I would compare it to drinking a glass of water with a slice of lemon in it as opposed to having an ice cold glass of lemonade. Lemon water is really good if that's the only thing you've ever had but once you taste the sheer bliss of lemonade you realize that lemon water is just a pretender. This cake is a pretender. Even my wife, who is a cake connoisseur had one forkful and immediately asked, "how much did you pay for this?" I replied, "thankfully, not much." If the Lady that was waiting on me didn't tell me it was lemon cake I would've never known. I don't like being so hard on a small business but I cannot give a flavorless cake a good review. They get two stars because the cookie was good.

The cake me and my wife bought from this bakery was amazing!!!! I absolutely loved it! It was absolutely delicious!! This is my new bakery of choice!! We bought a 10in chocolate cake with chocolate mousse in the center... I can not get enough! We had enough to feed about 30 people, well worth it! I can't stress how much I loved my son's cake!

A great shop, great service, and fabulous cakes! We discovered them by chance 7-8 years ago while my son attended a school in that neighborhood, and over the years we continued to do a 45-minute drive to get one of their cakes. Why? Because it's not easy to find a cake that's not too sweet. We don't want the overwhelming punch of sugar! We want to be able to taste something other than sugar, and this is where The Frosted Fox never disappoints. In addition, their cakes are always beautifully decorated, impeccably packaged, and ready on time. They have for sure become part of our family tradition!

I have yet to buy a cake from the Frosted Fox but HAD to leave a review because they went above and beyond to help me. My nephew's bar mitzvah is this weekend, and the original baker with whom I placed a custom cookies order got exposed to COVID! I called Sean in a panic and he not only patiently went through all of my designs with me, but took the time to discuss how they would be executed, called around to see who would be able to accommodate such a big last-minute order, and eventually referred me to a friend of theirs from culinary school who can hand-paint comic book characters onto cookies! Once I get my life a little more together (AFTER this weekend), I plan on ordering a cake from them! Thanks again to this kind-hearted business owner!

Where do I begin. I've been going to this place for four years. Stumbled Into it one day driving up Germantown Avenue. It's just a great new (by bakery standards) place that I think everybody in the area should give a try. To clarify this place is well established but I say it's new because the closest bakery up the road started in like 1880?! Yes Philly has a history of bakeries lasting for like a century which bodes well for this place. Anyway in 2018 I put my money where my mouth is - this is where we ended up getting our wedding cake from and subsequently many birthday cakes. I don't even live in the area but it's still worth a trip up to Mount Airy.

Our first cake was Thanksgiving 2017, my grandson Sebastian was 1 month old. right away I was hooked, Jen, Sean and the Frosted Fox crews are the best!!! very friendly & professionals. cakes, pies & cookies are all beautiful & delicious. My grandson is now 3 years old, I order his & my wife (same birth month & day) birthday cake from Frosted Fox every time. in fact I just bought a carrot cake this afternoon, and ordered an apple crumb pie & pear ginger pie for Thanksgiving just now. Can't think of any special occasions without a Frosted Fox bake stuff. Thank You Frosted Fox for the delicious & beautiful bake goods.

So...I love pie. I ask for pies for my birthday rather than cake. I've tried a lot of small pastries and the iced coffee (with the coffee I've cubes) at the Frosted Fox. Today I went there wanting to try a pear pie that people in the neighborhood have been raving about. They didn't have it so I purchased the pecan pie instead. It was delicious. I mean really delicious. The pie crust was buttery, but still substantial. So worth the money.

What a cute bakery!! The interior is so beautiful and smells AMAZING! I haven't been able to try any of their products besides their cake/cupcakes as I was there for a specialty cake but they all looked so good that I will definitely be back! I had called Jenny to see if she could do a specialty birthday cake on short notice and she nailed it! Everyone I interacted with was very polite and helpful and the cake was incredible, EVERYONE loved it!!

We ordered cupcakes from here for my son's 2nd birthday, and everyone RAVED about them. They all asked where they were from, commented on how delicious they were, and how beautiful they were. It was a quick and easy telephone order a few days in advance, paid over the phone, and picked them up easily at the agreed upon time. Absolutely loved their baked goods and can't wait to go back for more!

This cute little bakery is right up the street from my house. I've ordered 2 red velvet cakes for separate occasions and my sister ordered cupcakes for her spin party from the frosted fox and they came out beautiful and delicious. I've ordered from other cake shops close by in the past but the frosted fox is the best! I can't wait for my next event so I can order again!

Super cute shop but I wasn't impressed with their cupcakes. Maybe other pastries or cakes are better?
