The Fuji Grill

"The discreetly stylish Beaverbrook Town House is home to this warm, elegant restaurant that’s something of a hidden gem. The framed Japanese prints on the walls and lacquered furniture help make it a lovely place to dine, while there’s plenty to entice on the wide choice of menus, from a full omakase – which should naturally be enjoyed at the counter – to bento box deals and an extensive à la carte featuring skilfully made nigiri. A good sake selection adds to the authentic Japanese appeal – albeit inside an English townhouse." - Michelin Inspector

This was a random find and it turns out to be one of our favourite Japanese restaurants in London! Food was so good! I highly recommend their OMAKASE. All the staff are very nice and friendly you will feel comfortable and relaxed because of them!

A lovely dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday while visiting London. The Japanese dishes were unique and delicious, and we ate a variety of the charcoal grill dishes like chicken, lamb and vegetables along with the temaki sushi, the dumplings were also yum! The waiter was so nice and the atmosphere was perfect. A little lavish but worth it.

We booked with high expectations and they were met and exceeded. Nadra was amazing throughout and made us feel like VIPs. The host was welcoming and polite and the food was incredible. Take it from me you won’t be disappointed if you love Japanese inspired food!

This a truly hidden gem, located inside the beaverbrook hotel, this restaurant really blew my mind. The wagyu, the chicken, the appetizers, and the sushi, all incredible according to everyone on the table. We enjoyed some lovely Sake and Rose, as well as a lovely glass of whiskey at the end. The place was relatively quiet and empty, we got a lovely table under the sunlight, highly recommended table. Just flagging that some bottles on the drinks menu are only available to members, was a bit disappointed, but overall excellent!!

My return visit to Fuji Grill at the Beaverbrook Townhouse, this time to celebrate my 1st anniversary with my boyfriend, reaffirmed my admiration for this remarkable dining establishment. Having enjoyed a wonderful experience here a few years ago with a friend, I was eager to come back. The location itself is lovely, offering a sophisticated and serene atmosphere perfect for a special occasion. They have recently updated the omakase tasting menù and the wagyu temaki and the o-toro were exceptional—so much so that we couldn’t resist ordering more. The staff at Fuji Grill deserves special mention. Their kindness and attentiveness made our evening truly memorable. Not only did they all wish us a happy anniversary, but they also surprised us with a delightful anniversary dessert at the end of our meal. This thoughtful gesture added a personal touch to our dining experience. In summary, the Fuji Grill remains a top choice for anyone seeking exquisite food and impeccable service in a lovely setting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic omakase experience.

The best sushi I’ve ever had. The Omakase option was brilliant. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Really can’t fault the experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back for more.

I had a lunch reservation for 2:45pm made through their website, but upon arrival, I was told the kitchen closes at 3pm something that wasn’t mentioned during the booking process. This left us scrambling to place an order in a rush, which really affected the experience. Unfortunately, the greeting (or lack thereof) also set a poor tone. The person at reception was noticeably cold and unwelcoming. I explained that I had a reservation, but he didn’t acknowledge it at all — no response, no warmth, just a blank stare. It felt very strange and unprofessional. It’s a shame, as I was looking forward to the visit, but the lack of communication and hospitality made it quite an uncomfortable start.

An epic Omakase experience in the heart of Belgravia. There are two seatings per night, we went for the second seating at 20:30 which comprises 20 courses and takes a leisurely 2.5+ hours. Delicately flavoured small plates of fish are interspersed with individual nigiris, all carefully created by the masterful Jan. The Omakase space can seat up to six people, but due to its linear shape, is best suited for couples or two friends dining together. Trudy the Maitre d’Hotel takes care of her guests like family. You can wash all the food down with a small but wide ranging wine list including some great sakes. We had a wonderful Junmai Daiginjo.
